Drake Hypes Up PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Yet Again As Fans Demand A Release Date

One of this fall’s most quickly anticipated album releases is, without a doubt, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming collab album. It’s an OVO dream come true, especially after the decade-plus that both Toronto artists have spent crafting a sound together and displaying their chemistry. While we don’t have an official release date for it yet, the 6ix God teased at a fall drop, which might presumably carry over into the winter if that doesn’t manifest. But with how much he’s been hyping it up on social media, it feels like the record might be right around the corner.

For example, Drake recently posted an Instagram Reel of Toronto lit up at night as what seems like a Stake ad with a triple-dollar sign graphic, and it’s playing what sounds like a slightly slowed-down version of the PARTYNEXTDOOR P4 cut from this year, “N o C h i l l.” Of course, this isn’t a new song preview or anything like that, but it might hint at the sonic direction that the duo is aiming for this time around. Even though it doesn’t sound far off from their usual R&B fusions, it’s still exciting to hear what past work inspired them.

Drake’s Latest PND Collab Album Tease

Either that, or this is just a glorified Stake ad that has nothing to do with this collab album. Regardless, folks can’t wait for it to come out. But there’s a lot more conversation going on around Drake right now, even when it comes to his next musical moves. “He just love doing this s**t,” Rod Wave recently said of whether or not he plans to take a step back from the game. “He love the game. Like Brady… He at home like ‘What the f**k I’m finna do without this s**t?’”

Meanwhile, there’s another Drake collab on the way – not an album, but rather a single with Chino Pacas titled “Modo Capone.” Hearing him cross over into the Latine market again could make for a pretty unique link-up. At the very least, we hope that The Boy sings Spanish better than he did on “Gently” if he’s actually going to go multilingual. Jokes aside, we’ll see what he has in store.

Rod Wave Previews Drake Collab: “GOAT”

Fans of Rod Wave are probably pretty familiar with his love of Drake, and their musical similarities are easy to identify. They both can deliver soulful vocals over melancholy atmospheres, and they’ve had some chances to link up in the past. Now, it seems like those opportunities finally manifested themselves into something concrete. Moreover, Wave recently previewed a new song with the 6ix God on his Instagram Story, captioning it with a goat emoji and a turtle emoji. The Toronto superstar flows mellowly over a drill-inspired instrumental and croons about even best friends having to end sometimes. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

Before we get ahead of ourselves, though, do we really need to tie these lyrics into the great rap beef of 2024 yet again? We don’t think so. Beyond that, it’s just exciting to see these two artists work together in their new eras, as it seems like this might land on Rod Wave’s next album. As for Drake, this new tease indicates that he’s still putting in a lot of work for the rest of the year, so we’ll see what other updates emerge on that. After all, OVO die-hards apparently have a PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album to look forward to from The Boy.

“I’ve been watching that boy for a long a** time,” Rod Wave expressed on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game. “Since a juvenile, that’s really the one. According to the Special Olympics, the R-word is a form of hate speech, which can be extremely offensive to those with intellectual disabilities or their loved ones. Social media users are now weighing in on GloRilla’s use of the word on X, revealing whether or not they believe it’s acceptable. While most agree that it’s not, others argue that it’s not a big deal, as long as it’s not used to describe someone who actually has an intellectual disability.

Drake Pops Out For “Supersoak” Music Video In New Preview From DJ Akademiks

Well, it looks like DJ Akademiks was quickly able to prove his claim that Drake has a music video coming very soon. Moreover, he recently shared a short preview of the visuals for the unreleased (and leaked) Lil Yachty collab “Supersoak” music video on his livestream. The clip doesn’t really show much, just the 6ix God rocking his braids and vibing out to the track with a friend. Either way, it gives OVO and Concrete fans hope that the duo will officially drop this collaboration on streaming services after Yachty spoke of leaking it to Kai Cenat because they couldn’t get the sample cleared.

“It’ll be good for both of their brands,” Mr. Hotspot, the artist that Drake and Lil Yachty sampled for this cut, explained concerning his ultimatum that he’ll clear the sample if they make a clean and kid-friendly version of their song. “I’m blessed to work with children so we just gotta make it clean for them. We don’t need no children getting whooped cause they said this or that, you understand? It’s the children who really running these views up. So if we make sure both verses clean everybody coming clean, everybody gonna benefit.”

“I sent a song to Kai to leak,” Lil Yachty had said of this Drake collab. “We couldn’t get the sample. So I just let Kai play it. It’s everywhere. [Mr. Hotspot] went down, like, a Christian path. I don’t even think we got into money. He was just like, ‘No.’ It was crazy.” Maybe this new music video means that the “Another Late Night” duo successfully worked something out with Mr. Hotspot to put the song out officially, but we can’t know for sure until it drops.

Meanwhile, “Supersoak” also prompted Soulja Boy to call Drake out for what he perceived as a diss against him. “Drake, you up here talkin’ about some S.O.D. super soak,” he expressed on social media. “Boy, stop playin with me, boy. Moreover, German electronic music label Keinemusik (comprised of Adam Port, &ME, Rampa, and Reznik) played an unreleased collab with The Boy at The Brooklyn Mirage over the weekend. It’s a summery house jam reminiscent of Honestly, Nevermind, on which Keinemusik hasa couple of production credits (“Falling Back” and “A Keeper”). In addition, the “HOT UPTOWN” superstar had remixed their track “Confusion,” although this didn’t make it onto the final version of the 2022 EDM project.

Drake himself shared part of this snippet to his Instagram Story earlier, so there’s a lot of hope within the OVO fanbase that there’s more new music on the way. He recently posted a new clip on his social media that features some masked and heavily clothed people walking around a smoky area with industrial buzzes, rising synthesizers, and dramatic droning in the background. It’s more of an atmospheric mood board than anything else, but we’ll take it with a big smile on our face now that we at least have a release date.

Furthermore, this is the first time that A$AP Rocky has fully locked in a release date for Don’t Be Dumb since he began teasing his fourth studio album all those years ago. From what new interviews, statements, and announcements indicate, he’s currently in the mixing and mastering phase of the project, which is very exciting since it suggests that the post-production process will be very detailed. The Harlem native is known for his attempts at creating full, distinct worlds with each of his full-length records, which are all very different from each other. Here’s hoping No. 4 sees him expand his reach and experiment some more.
