Post Malone Has A New Album, ‘Austin,’ Coming Soon, And It Features A Lot Of Guitar

Post Malone has seemingly been gearing up for a new album, given that he released the single “Chemical” in April. Now, he’s made an announcement: His next album is called Austin and it’s set to drop on July 28.

Malone shared the news in an informal Instagram video shared yesterday (May 15), also noting that a new song called “Mourning” is coming out this week. Of the album, he said, “It’s been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music, for me at least. You know, trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff. I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience, and I’m super, super excited to share it with you.”

Watch the video above and find a transcript of it below.

“Hey guys, what’s going on? It’s Posty. I wanted to say that I love you guys so very f*ckin’ much. I’m here on tour in Europe right now, and I wanted to tell you guys that I have an album coming out this summer, on July 28th. It’s called Austin, like my name. That is my name. It’s been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music, for me at least. You know, trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff. I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience, and I’m super, super excited to share it with you.

‘Chemical’ is out and that song is on the record, and then on Friday, I have another song called ‘Mourning,’ with a ‘u’… like that. But I’m super excited to get that out for you guys. We just shot a music video in Scotland; it’s absolutely stunning up there. There’s a big-ass ice cube in it, which I thought was pretty badass.

But I’m super excited for you guys to hear it and I love you guys so very much. You know, I hope you guys just keep f*ckin’ being amazing and keep spreading love and just keep being yourself and I f*ckin’ love y’all, man. Have a great f*ckin’ night, have a great f*ckin’ week, and hug your fam, and just keep spreading love. Love you guys!”

A Photo Of Bad Bunny Talking In Kendall Jenner’s Ear Has People Hilariously Resurrecting A Classic Meme

The NBA Playoffs are going on right now, and since the Los Angeles Lakers are in the mix this year, celebrities have been flocking to Crypto.com Arena to watch LeBron James and company play. Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner turned up to their May 12 contest against the Golden State Warriors, and while there, they pair inadvertently became a meme.

An image of the two has been making the rounds since then, a TV screenshot that shows Bad Bunny talking into Jenner’s ear while she sports an expression of confusion or disinterest. People immediately picked up on the fact that the image bears a strong resemblance to the 2011 “Bro Explaining” meme and its derivatives, like the Milk Edinburgh club photo, “John Silver Explaining to Anna Jay,” and “Girl Explaining.” In all of them, the idea is that it’s a photo of two people, one seemingly giving a passionate explanation about something while the other appears uninterested.

So yes, memes were made.

Merriam-Webster (the folks behind the dictionary) had a good showing here, coming through with, “‘IRREGARDLESS’ HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 1795. ITS INCLUSION IN THE DICTIONARY IS NOT A SIGN OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE FALLING TO PIECES, OR PROOF OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM FAILING, NOR IS IT THE WORK OF CURSED MILLENNIALS. IT JUST MEANS A LOT OF PEOPLE USE IT TO MEAN ‘REGARDLESS.’

Check out some more examples below.

Gossip Vlogger Keith Urban Inadvertently Shared A Video Of Phoebe Bridgers And Bo Burnham Seemingly Making Out At A Taylor Swift Concert

This past weekend, The Eras Tour brought Taylor Swift to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a three-night run. Keith Urban and wife Nicole Kidman turned up to yesterday’s (May 14) show, where Urban (who featured on Fearless (Taylor’s Version)) accidentally let a celebrity romance cat out of the bag.

This afternoon, Urban shared a TikTok video of himself and Kidman singing and dancing along to Swift’s performance of “Style,” before panning the camera around to reveal the rest of the audience. People quickly noticed, though, that in the first half of the video, Bo Burnham and Phoebe Bridgers appear to be behind them. Both are pretty easy to identify, even just in the background of a dark, strobe-lit video: Bridgers has her distinctive silvery blonde hair and Burnham stands at about 6’5″ tall. Most notable, though, is in the final seconds before Urban pans the camera around, as it sure looks like Burnham and Bridgers share a kiss.

The top comments on the post are all about Bridgers and Burnham, including ones like, “Everyone say thank you to Keith Urban,” and, “Keith having the time of his life with Nicole not knowing the chaos he just put out on the internet.”

As People notes, Bridgers and Burnham have been linked since January, when they were spotted at LAX together. So, for some fans, this clip has been a long time coming.

This whole thing has made Urban a trending topic on Twitter today, so check out some reactions below.

A Silly Twitter Joke From Doja Cat Somehow Morphed Into Her Calling Fans ‘Dumb’ And Them Getting Upset About It

It’s not easy to predict what Doja Cat is going to say or do next, largely because she’s often delivering straight-faced jokes and it can be hard to believe what she really means. That’s sort of situation is exactly what appears to have been happening over on Doja’s Twitter account in recent days.

It started with a May 11 tweet that read, “My stage name is no longer doja cat its Emcee Flapchunks the 3rd and youll address me as such.” The next day, she added, “i just got jumped by emcee flap chunks the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. im changing my name back to doja cat.”

A Twitter user shared the latter tweet and wrote, “everyday she constantly reminds us that she isn’t funny.” Doja responded, “im one of the funniest people on this planet and its sad to know that youll never recognize that.” She added in another tweet, “I’m extremely funny and I will remind you all every day that I am if I have to.”

A few minutes later, Doja started a Twitter poll, which read, “yall mad cuz.” The possible answers were “im rich,” “u eatin c*m rn,” and “both.” One user replied to the poll, “Everyone is mad because you are calling your fans dumb.” Doja answered, “………are they not?” Somebody else tweeted, “What are you then ? If we are dumb,” and Doja replied, “pretty???”

Given Doja’s sarcastic nature, it’s super possible that she’s not upset about anything, and neither are some of her fans participating in the dialogue, and that this whole situation is just some people not getting the joke.

Lizzo And Sasha Flute Jam With Lisa In ‘The Simpsons’ Season 34 Finale, ‘A Dream Come True’ For Lizzo

Lizzo first teased an upcoming cameo on The Simpsons in February, and Entertainment Weekly reported at the time that her appearance would take place during the iconic animated series’ Season 34 finale. The finale is slated for this Sunday, May 21, so Lizzo heightened the anticipated by sharing a clip.

“Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons — now I can add my name to the list,” she captioned her Instagram post. “Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true (yes I’m wearing @yitty and playing @sashabfluting)!!!!!”

Sasha Flute’s (Lizzo’s beloved flute, for those not in the know) official Instagram account also posted, “Ok…. How do I say this w out gettin too cocky…. IM OFFICIALLY THE MOST FAMOUS FLUTE IN D WORLD. WE ARE TRULY WINNING FLOOT GANG.”

In the clip, Lizzo explains to Homer that she is “a projection of your psyche” because he’s “in the middle of a very traumatic life event.” They’re joined in a studio by Bart and Lisa. Bart (and melodically) slaps Homer across the face. “This beat is fire!” Lizzo says. “Hey, Lisa, how about I get Sasha Flute, you get your saxomaphone, and we jam?” And that’s exactly what they do.

Better still, the Grammy-winning, banger-generating singer who also plays a mean flute will be seen and heard in not just one but two roles in this season’s final episode. You can get a peek at both of them via these first-look images.

EW explained the context of the episode in February:

“‘Homer’s Adventure Through the Windshield Glass’ is a bit of a form-breaker for the long-running animated Fox comedy, as the entire episode takes place in the few seconds that Homer goes flying through the windshield of his car during an accident.

‘We had this idea for a long time, and it always felt like a pipe dream, but then we figured out a way to do it,” executive producer Tim Long tells EW. ‘Then the issue from a story point of view is: ‘Who is he going to talk to?’ We thought, ‘Well, his incredibly messy car is going to be filled with children’s toys and stuff.’ So she’s playing this happy little elf doll that comes to life and becomes his spirit guide.’”

Long also shared that Lizzo “sang the hell out of” a song written for the episode titled “It Was Marge B*tch.” Fittingly, Lizzo dressed up as Marge Simpson for Halloween last year.

SZA Offered A Message In Support Of Janelle Monáe’s ‘Self Renaissance’: ‘I Love That It’s Her Being Free’

Janelle Monáe is firmly in control within the rollout of their forthcoming LP The Age Of Pleasure. As Uproxx’s Aaron Williams put it, “It’s the story of America, of being Black, of being queer, of being non-binary, and always fighting to be seen, to be heard, and to not just survive in a hostile world but thrive.”

All eyes are on Monáe after the release of “Lipstick Lover” and its salacious video. Cardi B was inspired to share a very NSFW post, Monáe’s mother had questions about her daughter’s “nude booty,” and Jason Isbell didn’t understand how anybody could possibly criticize the “Lipstick Lover” video because “there are some things we all just agree is awesome.”

SZA sides with Isbell. She commented on an RNB RADAR Instagram post about “Lipstick Lover,” expressing admiration for Monáe’s “self-renaissance.” (It should also be noted that The Age Of Pleasure is due out June 9, aka 6/9, which is very likely not coincidental.)

“I love that it’s HER being free rn because people LOVE to box women in and claim that because your articulate respected and intelligent [eye-rolling emoji],” SZA wrote. “You can’t show your body or be sexual or anything else lol . It’s a ridiculous notion and I’m ALL FOR HER SELF RENAISSANCE [hearts-as-eyes emoji].”

Monáe also repurposed a clip from the “Lipstick Lover” video as a Mother’s Day tribute on Sunday, May 14. See their post below.

The Age Of Pleasure is out 6/9 via Wondaland Arts Society/Atlantic Records. Find more information here.

Beyoncé Shared A ‘Savage’ Mother’s Day Tribute To Tina Knowles-Lawson, From Whom She Got This Sh*t

Beyoncé didn’t need Mother’s Day to make her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, feel special. Knowles-Lawson can turn on “Savage Remix” any day and hear her daughter assert, “And my mama was a savage, n****, got this sh*t from Tina.”

But Beyoncé was performing to a sold-out Baudoin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium on Sunday, May 14, for her recently launched Renaissance World Tour, so why not uplift her mama (and all moms) even more on Mother’s Day?

“Happy Mother’s Day to all of the beautiful mothers,” Beyoncé said to the crowd in a fan-captured video posted by a Renaissance World Tour Twitter account.

The all-time-most Grammy winner posted to Instagram a projected photo of Knowles-Lawson above the Renaissance World Tour stage and a video of Knowles-Lawson having the time of her life backstage, dancing along to Beyoncé’s iconic line about her from “Savage.”

“Happy Muva’s Day,” Beyoncé captioned her Instagram post. “I love you so much Mama and I’m so grateful for all you do for me.”

Knowles-Lawson appeared to enjoy her Mother’s Day, as she also posted from Belgium. Her Instagram post is a video of her view from the floor of Baudoin Stadium, dancing as Beyoncé started performing “Love On Top.”

“This audience is the best yet !!! Love them !!! [red heart emoji],” she captioned it.

The Renaissance World Tour will next appear at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, UK. See all of the dates here.

Halle Bailey Delivered A Stunning, Bioluminescent Performance Of ‘Part Of Your World’ On ‘American Idol’

American Idol has had some major moments this season, from Katy Perry going viral for delivering good news to Ed Sheeran and Alanis Morissette guesting to King Charles III And Queen Camilla popping up on an episode. They had another big show last night (May 14), which featured a performance from The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey.

On yesterday’s episode, Bailey delivered a performance of the iconic “Part Of Your World.” She wasn’t live in studio, but instead, Bailey took the stage at Disneyland in the dark, surrounded by blue, bioluminescent-looking lights for a gorgeous-looking pre-taped performance. It’s easy to see why people cried at her audition.

Bailey took to Twitter to share the video and offer some insight about what the performance was like, writing, “first time singing part of your world live since filming [crying emoji] [wave emoji] thank you @AmericanIdol for giving me the chance to do so on stage at disneyland ..singing vocals in freezing cold weather at 3am while park is closed is no joke but we did it! only 11 more days until you all can watch the film !”

Janelle Monáe’s Mom’s First Question After Seeing The NSFW ‘Lipstick Lover’ Video Was About The ‘Nude Booty’ In It

Yesterday (May 14) was Mother’s Day, and late last night, Janelle Monáe shined a light on her mom, specifically on her reaction to the NSFW “Lipstick Lover” video that has taken over the internet in recent days.

In a video shot the day before the “Lipstick Lover” video release, Monáe is on a video call with their mother, showing her the clip. After it ended, her mother reacted, “Oh-ho… that’s cool. Only thing, though: Are you gonna be able to show that nude booty all the time on the… like, on the YouTube?” Monáe responded, “Yeah, they said we could!”

Monáe then asked if her mom had any last-minute thoughts on the video before its release, and she responded, “Well, would be nice if you had a man’s butt up there.” She added, “It’s a nice song. If people don’t get hysterical about the booty so bad, if they just listen to the lyrics of the song, it gonna go triple.” Monáe asked what she meant by “triple” and after trying to find the right words, their mother said, “Triple golden.”

Wrapping up the convo, Monáe asked if her mom enjoyed the video and she replied, “Yeah. I just was hoping that big booty go away for a second.”

It’s a delightful video, so check it out above.

The Age Of Pleasure is out 6/9 via Wondaland Arts Society/Atlantic Records. Find more information here.
