Donald Trump Slams Ron DeSantis & Fox News: “He Sucks, & So Does Fox News”

Donald Trump called out both Ron DeSantis and Fox News on his Truth Social platform, Monday. In a pair of firey posts, the former president trolled his opponent for his dropping poll numbers and complained about the direction of the iconic conservative news network. In particular, Trump referenced the recent firing of Tucker Carlson.

“Just watching Fox News. They are sooo bad, just like the Globalist Wall Street Journal and the now, way down, New York Post. They are desperately pushing DeSanctimonious who, regardless, is dropping like a rock,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He’s even down 20 points in Florida, which was third worst in Covid, & where I got 1.2 million more votes than he did. RINO Mark Thiessen, a Bush flunky, is constantly on pushing DeSanctus, giving bad info. Even said I ‘lost Iowa last time around,’ I won BIG. He sucks, & so does Fox News!”

Fox News is way down in the Ratings. After firing Tucker Carlson and refusing to fight against a VERY Corrupt and Rigged 2020 Presidential Election, which just cost them plenty of money, prestige, and RATINGS, they are a far cry from what they used to be,” Trump wrote. He added that Fox News has “become the DeSanctimonious Network, but it will never work because he doesn’t have the goods. Without my Endorsement, he was a dead man walking. Even with Fox, he’s already pretty close to that again!”

Later in the day, Trump shared a poll that showed him at 55%, up eight points from April. DeSantis, on the other hand, trailed at just 17%. He also noted that he’s leading President Joe Biden by 7 points in a national poll, but didn’t cite which one.

Majorie Taylor Greene Accused Of Funding Kanye West’s Website

Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Green has become one of the most visible, and controversial, figures in American politics. First elected in 2020 to represent Georgia’s 14th district, Representative Greene wasted no time in making herself known to the general public. This has rarely been for positive reasons, with Greene’s behavior and statements being a source of constant mockery. Greene was censured for comments threatening other members of Congress and supporting the January 6 insurrection. Furthermore, she has gone viral for a number of statements, including one where she made reference to “Jewish space lasers”.

However, Greene is also an incredibly influential right-wing politician. She is seen as the face of the most right-wing members of the Republican Congressional Caucus. This made her a pivotal lynchpin during the prolong Speaker of the house elections in early 2023. However, the vocal Trump support is now facing a new scandal

Greene Staffer Bought Kanye West Presidential Website Domain

Greene discussed Elon Musk’s recent purchase of Twitter during the press conference. (Photo by Win McNamee/Getty Images)

In June 2022, Representative Greene hired Milo Yiannopoulos as a Congressional intern. Yiannopoulos was once one of the biggest voices in the right-wing movement but fell from grace after being successfully de-platformed from much of the mainstream internet. However, right-wing operative Laura Loomer has revealed that while interning for Greene, Yiannopoulos purchased the domain “Ye24.com” on the website hosting site, GoDaddy. Ye24.com is now the official website of Kanye West’s presidential campaign. Yiannopoulos was then reportedly reimbursed for this purchase, which totaled a little over $7000. Yiannopoulos was concurrently serving as the campaign manager for Kanye West’s 2024 election campaign at the time.

If this is true, it could be a serious breach of campaign finance law. While campaigns can donate to one another, that amount is limited to $2000 per year. If Yiannopoulos did buy the domain while registered on Greene’s staff, that would be a violation of more than three times the federal limit. Greene has denied any involvement in the incident. “Congresswoman Greene knew nothing about the gross negligence made by a vendor and is being unfairly attacked as a result,” a representative for Greene said. However, it is also worth noting that this is not coming from across the aisle. Laura Loomer is often described as “far-right” and even as a “white nationalist”. While this story is developing, it could hurt Greene both in terms of federal punishment and her standing with her pro-Trump base.

E. Jean Carroll to Trump’s Lawyer After Trump Found Liable for Sexual Abuse: ‘He Did It — And You Know It’

E. Jean Carroll to Trump’s Lawyer After Trump Found Liable for Sexual Abuse: ‘He Did It — And You Know It'

E. Jean Carroll had a pointed message for Trump’s lawyer after Trump was found liable for sexual abuse and more: “He did it — and you know it.”

Trump’s lawyer is Joe Tacopina, a favorite of some of Hip-Hop’s elite. According to the New York Daily News, Tacopina shook Carroll’s hand after the verdict and that is when she delivered the message.

Speaking with CNN, Carroll said she felt like she won a victory. “At last somebody has held him accountable in a courtroom. It’s such a mash of overwhelming emotions. It’s hard to put it into words,” Carroll said.

On Tuesday (May 9), a New York federal jury found former President Donald Trump liable for the sexual abuse and defamation of Carroll, the former Elle advice columnist.

Trump was found liable for the abuse and forcible touching, while the defamation resulted from the former president’s last fall stating Carroll made the incident up. Trump has been awarded $5 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

The verdict was reached in three hours and was reached by a jury composed of six men and three women.

According to CNBC, Carroll states Trump raped her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990s. Trump was not found liable for the alleged rape.

Speaking on Truth Social, Trump blasted the decision and claimed to have no idea who Carroll was.

“I have absolutely no idea who this woman is. This verdict is a disgrace,” Trump wrote. “This case will be appealed, and we will ultimately win.”

The verdict stacks on previous issues for Trump, including an indictment by the state Supreme Court in the hush money paid to Stormy Daniels. The money was hidden via the falsification of business records. Trump is still facing a criminal investigation for his role in overturning the 2020 presidential election and possible indictment in Georgia for attempting to flip Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

Foster Moreau To Play NFL Season Despite Cancer Diagnosis

Foster Moreau has been in the NFL since 2019. After winning a national championship with Joe Burrow and LSU, the tight end was taken in the fourth round of the Draft by the Raiders. Primarily backing up Darren Waller, Moreau played in 61 games across his rookie contract. Additionally, he was fined in 2020 for attending a maskless party hosted by Waller. He had recorded 1107 yards and 12 touchdowns as the Raiders declined to re-sign him.

However, Moreau’s offseason went a little unexpectedly. A medical exam with the New Orleans Saints revealed that Moreau was suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer. It begins in the white blood cells and affects the lymphatic system, part of the body’s immune system. Despite this, Moreau isn’t going to let a little thing like cancer stop him from playing football.

Moreau To The Saints For Three Years

According to Moreau’s agent, Joe Linta, Moreau has signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans. The contract is said to be worth $12 million, with $8 million guaranteed. After trading veteran Adam Trautman during the draft, the Saints have been left a little light at tight end. The most experienced player at the position currently on the roster is Taysom Hill, the former quarterback that the Saints have long utilized as a tight end. Moreau brings both production and veteran experience to the position. The Saints did not draft a tight end but did sign Central Michgan’s Joel Wilson as an undrafted free agent. Instead, the Saints focused on bolstering their defense with the first picks.

14 tight ends were taken in total, including six in the first two rounds. Interestingly, Darnell Washington, who was considered one of the best tight ends in the draft, was amazingly still available in the third round. However, the Saints instead took TCU running back Kendre Miller. Washington was drafted 22 picks later by the Steelers with the 93rd pick. Moreau is cleared to resume football activities next week. However, it’s unknown how much treatment he will need during the season. Be sure to make HotNewHiphop your first stop for all the latest sports news and analysis.

Donald Trump Furious After Losing $5 Million In Sexual Abuse Trial

Jean Carroll, is part of the “greatest witch hunt of all time.” The former president ranted about the verdict in a number of posts and videos on Truth Social, after the jury reached its decision.

He is a terrible person, completely biased, and should have RECUSED himself when asked to do so. He quickly refused!” Trump said in a video on the platform. “This case should never have been allowed to be tried in this completely partisan venue, perhaps the worst for me in the Nation! The whole Rigged Hoax is yet another TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE, a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt of all time!!!”

LSU Apologizes For Flau’jae Johnson 9/11 Reference

Angel Reese is not the only famous face on LSU’s women’s basketball team. Freshman Flau’jae Johnson also had a starring role in the Tigers’ National Championship season. The SEC Freshman of the Year put up 11 points per game and 139 defensive rebounds as she helped give LSU a major backcourt presence. She is expected to play an even bigger role in her sophomore season.

Johnson is also a rapper, performing under the stage name Flau’jae. She already has a deal with Roc Nation and after stepping into the national spotlight, landed collabs with Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled. However, her rap prowess has landed her in some trouble. Furthermore, the university has been forced to apologize.

Johnson Adds 9/11 Line To Latto Remix

Johnson posted a video to her YouTube channel in which she remixed Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor”. However, the freshman guard added the line “In this 911, blowing smoke just like them towers”. The bar is a fairly masterful double-entendre referencing both the iconic Porsche 911 and the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. However, many people were not impressed with the inclusion of the lyric. A number of right-wing commentators argued that Johnson was making light of the attacks.

“In this 911 blowing smoke just like those towers.” – Flau’jae Johnson.

Take a bow @LSUwbkb. A player on your team mocked those who died on 9/11 by comparing it to a Porsche. Disgusting. I know people who still struggle to sleep at night because of what they did in war after 9/11. She thinks it’s a joke.

Outkick writer David Hookstead via Twitter

After the backlash emerged, LSU raced to issue a formal apology. “We spoke with Flau’jae this evening, and while she never intended to offend or upset anyone with her lyrics, she expressed sincere remorse for any possibility of a misunderstanding and immediately took the video down,” the college told Fox News. “We will learn and grow from this experience together,” their statement continued. Johnson is yet to make a personal statement about the incident.

Georgia Bulldogs Decline White House Invitation

The first sports teams to be invited to the White House were two amateur baseball teams in 1865. It quickly became a tradition amongst professional teams. In 1976, the Indiana Hoosiers Men’s Basketball team became the first collegiate visitors to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It has since become an annual tradition for collegiate champions to visit the President in the months after their title.

However, the White House visit has become a major point of debate this year. Primarily, the discourse was sparked after LSU’s Angel Reese implied she wouldn’t accept the invitation. This came after Reese accused First Lady Jill Biden of disrespecting her and LSU. Dr. Biden had made comments implying she also wanted to invite National Runners-up Iowa. Reese eventually accepted and will visit with her teammates on May 26. However, a different college powerhouse has declined their invitation.

Bulldogs Cite Schedule Conflict For Skipping White House

The Georgia Bulldogs are back-to-back D1 football champions. They are considered the team to beat in college football and saw numerous stars drafted into the NFL. However, they will not be visiting Joe Biden at the White House. The Georgia Athletic Association formally declined the June 12 invitation, stating that there was a scheduling conflict that could not be avoided. President Biden has designated June 12 “College Athlete Day”. Multiple teams and individuals from the world of college athletics will be in attendance.

“The University of Georgia first received on May 3 an invitation for the Bulldog football team to visit the White House on June 12. Unfortunately, the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year. However, we are appreciative of the invitation and look forward to other opportunities for Georgia teams moving forward,” the statement read. Additional details about the nature of the conflict were not made available to the media. Restrictions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic also resulted in the Bulldogs not attending the White House after their 2022 National Championship. Here’s hoping the Bulldogs can three-peat so that their players finally get that trip to DC.

E. Jean Carroll Arrives In Court

Carroll accuses Trump of sexually assaulting her in the dressing room of a Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City during the 1990s. When she went public with her account of the incident in 2019, Trump denied the allegation and remarked, “She’s not my type.” In proving that Carroll is, in fact, Trump’s “type,” attorneys showed footage of Trump’s deposition. During the video, he incorrectly identified Carroll as his ex-wife Marla Maples.

Attorneys for Trump did not call any witnesses nor did he testify in the trial. Instead, they argued that Carroll and the 10 other witnesses her team called were part of a conspiracy to tarnish Trump’s reputation out of hatred for him. Trump addressed the case on Truth Social. “Waiting for a jury decision on a False Accusation where I, despite being a current political candidate and leading all others in both parties, am not allowed to speak or defend myself, even as hard nosed reporters scream questions about this case at me,” he wrote. “In the meantime, the other side has a book falsely accusing me of Rape, & is working with the press. I will therefore not speak until after the trial, but will appeal the Unconstitutional silencing of me, as a candidate, no matter the outcome!”
