Trump Clarifies His Stance on Abortion Rights in Video Posted on Truth Social

Donald Trump said today that if he is elected POTUS, abortion rights should be left to the states, as reported by CNN. For once, he gave a clear stance on a hot-button issue across politics in America.

“My view is now that we have abortion where everyone wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state,” from Trump in a video he posted to his Truth Social account. The same Truth Social that just lost 2 billion in value and had two large shareholders plead guilty to insider trading.

“Many states will be different,” Trump added. “Many will have a different number of weeks, or some will have more conservative than others, and that’s what they will be. At the end of the day, this is all about the will of the people.”

Trump previously said he might support a 15-week federal ban with exceptions in the cases of incest, rape, and when the life of the mother is in danger. But, his decision to hand off the delicate issue back to the states and stand on a national ban like some of his hard right-leaning Republican lackeys, oops, meant to say colleagues, was still “denounced by a major anti-abortion rights organization, which said his position did not go far enough” as stated in CNN’s reporting.

But let’s not forget how he placed the SCOTUS judges on the bench that overturned Roe v. Wade. Trump stood on his business when he stated he was “proudly the person responsible” for doing just that and took the issue “out of the federal hands and brought it into the hearts, minds, and vote of the people in each state.”

Trump’s video on Truth Social came with immediate backlash from anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which states that a 15-week national ban is their standard for Republican candidates in the presidential primary. These, sheesh.  “We are deeply disappointed in President Trump’s position. Unborn children and their mothers deserve national protections and national advocacy from the brutality of the abortion industry. The Dobbs decision clearly allows both states and Congress to act,” said the group’s president, Marjorie Dannenfelser. Naturally, Trump had to add yet another false statement when he said “all legal scholars, both sides” wanted Roe v. Wade terminated and that we now have “abortion where everybody wanted it, from a legal standpoint.” If this issue bothers you, here’s a way to do something about it – vote, vote, and keep voting.

Donald Trump Disputes Claim He “Bullied” His Way Into “Home Alone 2” Cameo

Donald Trump has disputed the claim that he “bullied” his way into a cameo in Home Alone 2. “I was very busy, and didn’t want to do it. They were very nice, but above all, persistent. I agreed, and the rest is history!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The brief moment, in which Kevin McCallister runs into Trump and asks for directions, was filmed in the lobby of the then-Trump-owned Plaza Hotel. Trump then went on to claim that his brief cameo was the driving force of the film’s massive success.

The claims that Trump forced his way into a cameo stem from a 2020 interview with the film’s director, Chris Columbus. While speaking with Business Insider, Columbus claimed that Trump offered the lobby of the Plaza for free as long as he got a part in the film. Columbus said he had gone to Trump after finding it impractical to recreate the iconic lobby on a soundstage.

Fake Donald Trump Quotes About Panera Bread Go Viral

Meanwhile, it’s not the only fact-checking related to Trump in recent weeks. Images appearing to show Donald Trump blaming Joe Biden for a spate of recent deaths linked to Panera Bread’s lemonade have gone viral online. Fake captions added to screenshots of a real Trump speech in Iowa appeared to show the former President going off on a lemonade-related tangent. “Everything is bad under Biden. Even the lemonade is killing people. Did you see that? People drink lemonade and die. The lemonade didn’t kill you when I was president. It was tasty and fun to drink. We loved the lemonade, didn’t we? We did, but not under Biden. Bacon is more money. Gas is more money. The lemonade is more money and it kills you. When life hands you lemons, Joe Biden kills you with them,” the fake quotes read. The quotes were originally posted by a satirical comedian on X.

However, the fake quotes are in reference to a real event. At least two people have reportedly died as a result of drinking Panera Bread’s highly caffeinated “charged lemonade”. The issue seemingly arises from potentially lethal amounts of caffeine in larger servings of the beverages. While Panera Bread is in the process of updating its menu and nutritional information, the company has been hit with two wrongful death suits.

Donald Trump Congratulates Kim Jong Un, Faces Backlash From Republicans

Donald Trump shared his congratulations for Kim Jong Un on his social media platform, Truth Social, earlier this week, sparking bipartisan backlash. In doing so, Trump shared a link to the news that the World Health Organization has admitted North Korea to its executive board.

“Congratulations to Kim Jung Un!” Trump wrote. The post was quickly met with backlash from several other voices in the Republican party. Georgia governor Brian Kemp later tweeted: “Taking our country back from Joe Biden does not start with congratulating North Korea’s murderous dictator.”

U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un briefly met at the Korean demilitarized zone (DMZ) on Sunday, with an intention to revitalize stalled nuclear talks and demonstrate the friendship between both countries. The encounter was the third time Trump and Kim have gotten together in person as both leaders have said they are committed to the “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula. Trump’s former lawyer Jenna Ellis also responded to the post: “Donald Trump is running to the left of Ron DeSantis, RFK, and now Joe Biden? We don’t have a pro-Kim Jung Un lane in the GOP. What has happened to Trump?” Nikki Haley, who previously served as Trump’s former UN ambassador and is currently running against him in 2024, wrote: “Kim Jong Un starves his own people. It’s a total farce that North Korea has a leading role at the World Health Organization.”

Donald Trump famously became the first sitting US President to meet with a dictator of North Korea back in 2019. He reflected on his relationship with Kim Jong Un during an interview in April. “It started off rough, remember that? I was saying ‘little rocket man’ and he was saying ‘I’ve got a red button on my desk, and I’m willing to use it,’” Trump recalled. “And then all of a sudden we get a call — they want to meet. We would have had that whole situation straightened out shortly after the beginning of my second term.”

Jean Carroll, is part of the “greatest witch hunt of all time.” The former president ranted about the verdict in a number of posts and videos on Truth Social, after the jury reached its decision.

He quickly refused!” Trump said in a video on the platform. “This case should never have been allowed to be tried in this completely partisan venue, perhaps the worst for me in the Nation! Donald Trump Turns Himself Into Authorities In NYC

Donald Trump has turned himself in to authorities in the Manhattan district attorney’s office for his alleged role in a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The former president of the United States arrived at the district attorney’s office around 1:30 PM, ET, where he was met by both supporters and protesters. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and George Santos were both in attendance.

“Heading to Lower Manhattan, the Courthouse. Seems so SURREAL,” he posted on Truth social minutes before his arrival. “WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can’t believe this is happening in America.” Politico reports that it is unlikely he has his mug shot taken, although he will be fingerprinted. Trump will remain in custody throughout the day until his arraignment. Afterward, he will be free to leave without posting bail.

Trump announced on Truth Social that he expected to be arrested in the near future, last month. He’s since slammed the merits of the case against him many times. “The Corrupt D.A. has no case. What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros backed D.A. (he must be changed!). Also has the DOJ working in the D.A.’s Office – Unprecedented!” he wrote in one post.

The indictment against him is still under seal so the exact charges are unknown to the public. However, NBC reports that there are about 30 counts related to document fraud. For Tuesday’s arraignment, cameras will not be allowed in the courtroom, although a number of photographers have been given permission to take pictures for a brief period.

The former president reportedly plans to give a speech tonight from Mar-a-Lago after he returns home. The speech is scheduled for 8:15 PM, ET. With the arrest, Trump has become the first former president in U.S. history to be charged with a crime.
