Cardi B Calls Community Service A “Spiritual Journey”

Cardi B says that her time doing community service has been a “spiritual journey.” Cardi reflected on the experience in a tweet posted on Saturday afternoon. The mandated service stems from a plea deal Cardi accepted regarding a 2018 strip club brawl in Queens, New York. Two bartenders at Angel’s Strip Club alleged that Cardi ordered an attack on them because she believed her husband Offset had had an affair with one of them.

“Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me. Almost like a spiritual journey because sometimes I leave these centers in tears. Those people that we leave behind they just need somebody to talk and a lil push and YOU might be able to change their life forever,” Cardi tweeted. It isn’t the first time she has mentioned the experience on Twitter. On Friday she shared a selfie while writing, “My brains are burning from waking up early, community service then studio….but I did the crime ‘I only have myself to blame.’”

Cardi’s “Spiritual Journey”

Cardi accepted the guilty plea in September, receiving two misdemeanor charges of assault in the third degree and reckless endangerment. The victims also received a three-year order of protection from Cardi. “Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,” Cardi said at the time in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. “These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — the music and my fans.”

Cardi has until March 1 to complete her service hours. The original deadline was last month, but she had it extended. It’s unclear exactly what service she’s doing, but she’s mentioned working with veterans on Instagram Live.

Juice WRLD’s Ex Takes Plea Deal In Drug Case

Screen Shot 2023 01 27 at 6.04.00 PM

A report fro mTMZ has confirmed that Ally Lotti, the ex-girlfriend of fallen emo-rapper Juice WRLD, has dodged a jail sentence after accepting a plea deal in her cocaine possession case out of Arkansas.

Lotti, 29, was originally charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, cocaine or heroin, but plead out to misdemeanor possession of instruments of crime, and got a 1 year suspended sentence and 6 months probation. Additionally, Lotti had a misdemeanor theft dropped as a part of her plea deal. The instruments of crime charge will also be dropped if Lotti is able to remain out of trouble for 18 months.

A security guard in an Arkansas Walmart peeped Ally and her new boyfriend, Carter Jamison, attempting to steal several items by going through the self checkout line without scanning many of the more expensive items, including wall mirrors, a bed frame, a bath towel and a digital scale.

The arresting officer found capsules of cocaine in Ally’s pocket and purse.

Both Jamison and Lotti were charged with the theft, but both had those charges dropped and were both ordered to pay $1,160 in fines.

Lotti was dating Juice WRLD when he died of an accidental drug overdose at Chicago’s Midway Airport in 2019.

Ally Lotti Accepts Plea Deal After Drug Arrest, Juice WRLD’s Ex Won’t Face Jail Time

Following the tragic death of Juice WRLD back in 2019, his past girlfriend, Ally Lotti, has had a lot to say about her late lover. From giving a heartfelt speech during his Rolling Loud tribute to keeping his memory alive on her Instagram page, her affection for the rapper has been evident over the years.

A piece of her heart will surely always belong to the Chicago native. However, she’s been dating Carter Jamison as of late. Unfortunately, the two got in some serious trouble earlier this month after shoplifting at an Arkansas Walmart.

A TMZ report reveals that the store’s security cameras allegedly saw the couple at a self-checkout station. At the time, they apparently failed to scan several of their items. Among them were wall mirrors, a bed frame, a bath towel, and a digital scale.

The arresting officer searched Lotti and Jamison, finding capsules of cocaine in the former’s pocket and purse, documents state. Luckily, they had high-profile attorney Bradford Cohen on their side, and he says the whole thing “seems like a misunderstanding.”

According to the lawyer, his clients thought they scanned and paid for all their items. Additionally, a Walmart employee allegedly gave their transaction the green light by checking their receipt. “[They] would never take something intentionally,” Cohen states.

Despite this, Lotti still plead guilty to misdemeanour possession of instruments of crime. She was given a one-year sentence, but later saw a suspension in favour of six months of probation. If the young woman manages to stay clean during that time, her case will be dismissed.

Her initial charges were felony possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, or heroin and misdemeanour theft of property. For Jamison’s part, he was also taken in for property theft. After pleading no contest, he’s facing the same sentence as his girlfriend. The two of them also have $1,160 in fines to pay.

Shortly after the Walmart arrest incident earlier this month, Lotti’s boyfriend gave her a fancy new Benz that was promptly shown off on social media. See that for yourself here, and check back later for more hip-hop crime news updates.

[WATCH] YSL Co-Founder Mondo Calls Out Gunna Over RICO Plea Deal

Screen Shot 2023 01 23 at 4.39.25 PM

On the most recent episode of Ugly Money Podcast with Murphy Lee, Youg Slime Life co-founder Mondo called out his former partner Gunna for supposedly snitching as a part of the plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

When asked what comes to mind when he hears certain words with Gunna’s name being mentioned, Mondo replied, “I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going. Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brother. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no shit like that my brother.”

He went on to say, “I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n-gga … But certain shit makes you do certain shit … You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on, my brother. It’s certain shit you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line, my brother. You did that.”

When Murph asked if he was calling Gunna a snitch, he responded, “Everybody got the same ears I got? Unless you’re deaf or you’re blind. You took a plea saying you’re the main artist brother, you know this a gang and on top of that you got caught with something and it wasn’t yours, so who else was it? Who doing shit like that? Who doing that?”

Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge this past December and was immediately released from jail after being handed down a five-year sentence with one year time served in prison. The rest of his sentence will be served in the form of 500 hours of community service.

Gunna wasn’t the only YSL member to accept a plea deal, with Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk (Quantavious Grier), Slimelife Shawty (Winnie Lee), Lil Duke (Martinez Arnold) and YSL co-founder Walter Murphy all taking plea deals to avoid stiff jail time.

Sheek Louch Says Young Thug’s Friends Are Snitching On Him, “It’s Horrible”

As Young Thug’s RICO trial is underway, Sheek Louch is one of many artists chiming in on snitching in the YSL case. The Lox member recently spoke to VladTV for an interview, about 20 years since first connecting. Moreover, the rapper called Thugger’s situation “all the way horrible,” especially when it comes to his Young Stoner Life cohorts.

Furthermore, readers likely know the debacle around snitching that the YSL case provoked, despite it being a tale as old as time. While many artists indicted in the case took plea deals, Young Thug still sits with 13 other codefendants. However, high-profile releases such as Gunna made people question the terms of these deals. After all, they are an admission of guilt in theory, but many believe the exitors have placed that guilt on Thugger.

Moreover, if you’re a member of VladTV‘s YouTube channel, you can access Sheek’s full interview where he details his thoughts on the case. However, they released a short snippet from the sit-down where his opinions become clear. Moreover, he tied it into his new track, “Loyal Or Stupid.”

“I’m definitely talking from a different age right now,” the Yonkers MC began. “I’m a hundred years old, Vlad, so my definition of keeping it real is different maybe right now than what it was back then, you know what I mean? So loyal or stupid is ‘Don’t be loyal to these dudes that’s not really loyal to you,‘ man. Or even to themselves.

“Listen, I think it’s all the way horrible,” he continued. “Whatever you’re involved in, man, if you’re not gonna go all the way with it, man, it’s no place for that kind of s**t… If you’re in it- Thug, I would get rid of all these motherf***kers around you, man. Just take whatever they’re gonna give you, and that’s that, dawg. Stop relying on these other guys, man, they’re not down with you. How about that?

“I don’t even know these rappers to even speak on them as far as what happened all the way out there and all that s**t. But dude, from what I’m seeing, it’s crazy. I know he’s sitting back and being like ‘God damn, we was homies.’ Right?”

To close things out, Sheek took the time to recognize that this is affecting all sides, and that multiple perspectives are at play.

“If everybody would’ve just shut the f**k up,” he stated, “nobody would’ve been in that much trouble. I mean, they know what they know, of course. We know that, right? They know what they know, but still, it’s no space for n***as talking, man. That’s just making everything worse. That’s why they separate you, they give you separate lawyers, they do all that kind of s**t. It’s crazy. God bless the- I don’t even know Thug like that, but God bless you, bro. It’s f***ed up for you.”

What do you think of Sheek Louch’s recent comments about Young Thug and snitching in the YSL trial? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest on the future of Young Thug.

Jim Jones Speaks On Gunna: “None Of My N*ggas Took A Plea”

Much has been said about Gunna and the seven others who accepted plea deals in the YSL RICO case. The trial is slated to begin soon as potential jurors are currently being vetted. Hip Hop has weighed in heavily with reactions, and Jim Jones addressed the controversy surrounding Gunna being free while Young Thug remains behind bars.

“It’s a touchy situation,” Jones said in the clip. “I don’t know the ins and out of it. I don’t know the whole situation. All I can see is what I see. And from where I come from, taking a plea when you have co-defendants is really not the thing you supposed to do.”

“You ever catch a case by yourself and sh*t, that’s something different,” the Harlem icon also said. “I think taking a plea is a touchy thing, and I don’t really wanna touch too much on it and sh*t like that because I’ve seen my n*ggas go through some of the certain things.”

“But I can say this: None of my n*ggas took a plea.” Jones further stated that some of his friends are locked up, “doing the time.”

Jones added, “They accepted what they did. They accepted who snitched on ’em, they accepted it all. And they all sat down and did they time. Nobody tried to take a plea, nobody tried to go around.” Additionally, “N*ggas even went to trial and did everything they could except do that.”

Last night, Gunna returned to social media via an Instagram post. He supported both YSL and the late Lil Keed, but it was met with tension. It seems that several of Keed’s relatives no longer support Gunna.

The rapper accepted a plea deal during the holiday season and has faced many accusations regarding cooperating with the authorities. Gunna’s attorney insists the rapper did not snitch on anyone and doesn’t plan on testifying against his former co-defendants.

6ix9ine Trolls Gunna In Latest IG Post

6ix9ine called out Gunna in the comments on his latest post on Instagram, Tuesday night. It is Gunna’s first upload since taking a plea deal in the RICO case against Young Thug and the rest of YSL.

“N****s acting like they switching to a side But it’s only one side,” Gunna captioned a photo of himself sitting next to a home studio set-up. “#YslTheLabel #FreeThug&Yak GUNNA BACC!!!!!”

In response, 6ix9ine criticized Gunna for referring to YSL as a “label” after admitting to it being a “gang” as part of his guilty plea.

6ix9ine commented: “In court you said it was a gang here on IG u saying the label. Lol u can’t make this shit up.”

Gunna has been out of jail since accepting the plea deal, last month. While he won’t serve any more time in prison, he will have to commit to 500 hours of community service.

Tuesday isn’t the first time that 6ix9ine has criticized Gunna in recent months. In December, he alleged that the YSL rapper incriminated Young Thug in his plea deal.

“Just stfu and listen I know ya don’t wanna accept it,” he wrote online at the time. “Your man is fighting for his life in court on a gang RICO. Judge: You are aware YSL is a gang correct. Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am. Judge: ONLYYYYY you and Jeffrey are in the car and the police find a handgun and drugs. This didn’t belong to you correct? Fatass gunna: Yes ma’am.”

As for Young Thug’s case, the jury selection process began this week.

Young Thug’s Dad Says His Son Shoudn’t Take A Plea Deal

Young Thug’s Dad, Jeffery Williams Sr., professed his son’s innocence in a new interview, stating that the rapper shouldn’t take a plea deal. Speaking with Infamous Sylvia on Friday, Williams Sr. addressed Thug’s upcoming case.

“I can’t answer that because I’m not him,” Williams, Sr. responded to Sylvia’s questions about a potential plea deal. “I’m his father. My son is not guilty of a lot of things that these people [prosecutors] probably sayin’ about him.”

He continued: “As a father, if they came to him with a plea deal and he left it up to me to give him the advice. I would tell him, ‘No.’”

Williams Sr. added that prosecutors would not offer Thug a plea deal if they had a strong case against him.

“A plea is a let out,” he added.

Thug’s father’s interview comes in the wake of several YSL members taking plea deals. Gunna was released from prison, earlier this month, after agreeing to enter a guilty plea. His attorney, Steve Sadow, has stated that he doesn’t intend to testify against Thug or any other members of YSL. He’s also reaffirmed that Gunna did not snitch to get offered the plea deal.

Williams Sr. also says that he plans on being present in the courtroom throughout the trial.

“I’m a parent. I’m a father,” he stated, before adding “I’m not that daddy who just there. Right now, it’s me and him against the world.”

Young Thug’s trial will begin on January 9, 2023. He faces several gang related charges among other various felonies.

YSL’s Tick Takes Plea Deal, Claims Young Thug Was Mad He Didn’t Beat Or Shoot Victim

YSL’s Tick reportedly made some damning accusations towards crew frontman Young Thug during a hearing on Thursday (December 29th). He accepted a plea deal in favor of facing trial, which makes him the eighth YSL affiliate to do so. While in court, Tick accepted the plea deal and offered details about Thugger’s attitude towards other YSL members. According to Tick, the “Digits” MC chastised his crew in a group chat for not beating or shooting a victim.

Tick, real name Trontavious Stephens, claimed that YSL crewmates sold drugs at two Atlanta gas stations. Also, he provided an idea of what Young Thug’s jabs looked like.

“Y’all ain’t beat him up or shot him yet?” he allegedly told YSL associates in the group chat. “Y’all getting soft.”

Moreover, Stephens pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act in Georgia. The court sentenced him to ten years, with two of commuted time served and eight of probation. The 29-year-old joined Gunna, Slimelife Shawty, Lil Duke, and Thugger’s brother Unfoonk as members who took a plea deal.

Also, Tick agreed to testify during trial as part of his negotiation, as did co-defendant Antonio Sledge. Moreover, Young Thug’s co-defendants Derontae Bebee and Tenquarius Mender rejected offers for a plea deal. Gunna’s plea deal caused a lot of conversation around its implication and whether he snitched. Still, many were happy to see the “pushin p” rapper finally home. As discussions ran rampant, he took to Instagram to deny said claims.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful,” he wrote, “I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way.”

Furthermore, as we look to the future, the court set jury selection for Young Thug’s RICO case to commence on January 4th. Meanwhile, his trial will expectedly begin on January 9th.

What do you think of Tick’s claims and his decision to take a plea deal? How do you think this will affect the developing case? Let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on the fate of YSL and Young Thug.

YSL RICO Update: Slug Takes Plea Deal, Two Others Decline

As Young Thug remains behind bars, updates on the future of other YSL members are revealing themselves.

Reports on Thursday (December 29) indicate that three more members were offered plea deals. However, only one of them is reportedly deciding to take it.

“Trontavious Stephens aka Tick aka Slug takes plea deal in #YoungThug case. He faced 5-20 yrs on the racketeering count. (only count charged),” reports Cathy Russon, the Executive Producer at Law&Crime Network.

“He received 10 years, with 2 yrs time served & remaining 8 yrs on probation. He will be released,” she continues afterward. Stephens becomes the eighth YSL member to take a plea deal.

Stephens also agrees to testify truthfully at the trial. Additionally, he is unable to assert the fifth amendment.

Furthermore, he admits that he does indeed go by Tick as one of his nicknames. In Thugger’s song “You,” the 31-year-old raps, “She gettin’ robbed my Tick.” He acknowledges this as a fact as well.

Although Stephens is taking the plea deal, there are two other YSL members who declined to do so earlier today.

DJ Akademiks has consistently been reporting on the case through his social media accounts and took to his Instagram to provide the update.

“At least thug can say 2 of his members denied getting out of jail instantly and is taking it to trial wit him. The judge warned the defendants that taking the plea would make them free immediately but taking it to trial he would sentence them to the max if they lost the case. Tenquarius is facing 50 years in prison if convicted at trial,” the streamer says in the caption along with the news.

Ever since Gunna became the first person to accept a plea deal in the case, there has been speculation online about whether or not there is snitching involved when taking the deal. Although, Gunna’s attorney, Steve Sadow has consistently stated that there is no truth behind these claims.

“Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail. He has said nothing and is not cooperating. His plea statement cannot be used in court against any other defendant. So please stop spreading lies!!!” he writes in a statement.

Regardless, there continues to be discourse online about what these pleas will mean for Young Thug.

What are your thoughts on the YSL members taking plea deals in order to get released? Comment your thoughts down below. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on the trial.
