Here’s Why Playboi Carti Isn’t On Offset’s ‘Set It Off’ Album

Say My Grace” rapper Offset’s year has been filled with heartbreaking lows, unnecessary conflicts, and short-lived marital tension. However, thanks to his sheer tenacity, he has managed to take back control of his life to steer it in a most positive direction. The result of tunnel vision is his highly-anticipated sophomore album, Set It Off.

The 21-track project features guest appearances from, of course, his wife, Cardi B, as well as Travis Scott, Future, Don Toliver, Yung Nudy, Mango Foo, and Uproxx cover stars Latto & Chlöe. But fans wondered what happened to his previously teased collaboration with Playboi Carti.

Why isn’t Playboi Carti on Offset’s new album, Set It Off?

Simply put, it isn’t because the track wasn’t ready to go. On September 28, during his private album listening party in London, the recording artist treated attendees to a snippet from the record. But, still, the song didn’t make the final tracklist.

Thanks to an interaction with a fan’s post online, Offset seemingly confirmed it was due to clearance issues. “What Carti at n****,” asked one of the rapper’s online followers. Another jokingly chimed in and wrote, “He definitely ain’t clear it [crying laughing emoji],” and Offset gave a like to that response.

With the rise of deluxe projects, fans might not want to give up just yet as the unreleased track could appear then.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kid Cudi’s “INSANO” Delayed, He Drops Two New Songs & Addresses Playboi Carti Collab

Kid Cudi unfortunately announced that his next album, INSANO, is delayed until January, and shared a message with fans to accompany this. Of course, this will hit many die-hards as a huge disappointment, especially considering that its original release date was on September 15. However, it seems like the Cleveland creative wanted to give something special to fans to make up for it. Moreover, he did it in the best way: by sharing two tracks off the album exclusively on SoundCloud. “ILL WHAT I BLEED” and “MOST AIN’T DENNIS” are two woozy, bass-heavy, and minimal trap cuts that see him going in a slightly different direction, and he said that these are two of his favorites in his message.

“Hey fam!!” Kid Cudi’s announcement began. “Got some updates for yall. Some bad news, some good. I have to push INSANO back til January. I want to make sure that everything lines up and I give y’all the best version of myself. This album is amazing and I want to make sure I present it in the best way for y’all. Thats the bad news. I still plan on releasing the next single soon so dont even worry about that.

Kid Cudi’s New Tracks

“The good news is, since im doin this and I know you are all feinding to get a listen of the album, im releasing 2 new jams from INSANO tn on soundcloud,” Kid Cudi continued. “Just for you. (And I promise I wont take them down). These songs are some of my favorites on the album and I really think you’ll dig em. Im sorry for the delay everyday but im a perfectionist. And things gotta be right. I love yall!!! Enjoy! -Scott.”

Mr. Rager Updates Fans On INSANO & Carti Collab

Meanwhile, Mr. Rager also let fans know that their anticipation for a previously previewed Playboi Carti collab, “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV,” is moot. “Not happenin man please yall stop askin aboit this song forget it exist in ur minds,” he responded to a fan begging for it. “Please.” While we won’t get INSANO just yet, Scott Mescudi always commits to making it up to fans in the best way possible. New Playboi Carti Leak Fuels Rumors Of New Music Coming Soon

Rumors of Playboi Carti dropping soon amid lots of leaks are about as common as leaves falling in autumn at this point. Fans have been starving and fiending for more ever since Whole Lotta Red dropped, amid the rapper’s own legal and relationship controversies plus exciting performances. Many fans believe that Music will be another great album, although it’s possible that it won’t even be named that by the time it drops. Given that his leaked discography is just as revered and abundant as his official releases, new snippets surfacing online are a staple of his career. With each new entry in that saga, die-hards get excited and disappointed all over again.

Furthermore, we’re now in that excitement stage again, with a clip of an unreleased track “Wicked (Killers)” leaking online. It’s what you’d expect from this King Vamp era: baby-voiced, unintelligible, but still invigorating and downright catchy. Moreover, the instrumental on this Playboi Carti features the ethereal synth pads and distorted bass that defines his artistry for the most part. In addition, there are some extra buzzing embellishments that fit this track in the rage-heavy phase of the Atlanta trap innovator’s path.

“Wicked (Killers),” The Latest Playboi Carti Leak

What’s more is that this track has apparently been in the works for a while, unless it’s not an accurate name. During a 2022 interview with XXL, the “Notice Me” MC played an unreleased song also called “Wicked” to the interviewer before their conversation. When the interviewer, editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten, asked about a new album, he had this to say. “I was about to name my album Music because that’s where I’m at,” Playboi Carti expressed. “You know what I’m saying? Music.”

Meanwhile, fans had mixed reactions to this leak. On one hand, they’re happy to get new Carti amid almost complete radio silence from him. On the other, some believe that this will only further delay Music‘s release, and even saw the snippet as a vengeful move following the delay of his tour with Opium. Like always with this artist, we’ll just have to wait and see. For more news and updates on Playboi Carti, stick around on HNHH.

Earl Sweatshirt Bumps Playboi Carti During His Concert

Sometimes it can be easy to forget that rappers are rap fans themselves. Earl Sweatshirt reminded everyone of that during a recent show when he bumped some Playboi Carti between tracks. Clips hit the internet of Earl vibing on stage while the rapper’s song “JumpOutTheHouse” booms over the speakers. Fans in the audience are clearly feeling it as the jump around to the beat and sing along to the lyrics. The crossover surprised some given the major stylistic differences between Carti and Earl, but the “Chum” rapper appears to be a big fan regardless.

Earlier today Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist announced a joint show they’ll perform in London. The pair each took to Instagram to share a flyer for the show, which also includes a tease towards a new album. Fans speculate that Voir Dire could be the name of an upcoming project between the two. The rapper and producer have worked together often in the past, even as recently as earlier this year. Earl appeared on the opening track “RIP Tracy” from The Alchemist’s Flying High EP that dropped in June.

Earl Sweatshirt Puts On Playboi Carti During His Show

Over the weekend Earl Sweatshirt was joined by his fellow Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator on stage to perform one of their classic tracks. The pair treated the crowd to their team-up “Whoa” from Earl’s 2013 album Doris. Fans have been calling for an Odd Future reunion for years and with numerous members also at the show, this may be the closest they’ve ever gotten.

Back in June, Earl Sweatshirt released his first new song of 2023. It’s called “Making The Band (Danity Kane)” and dropped with an accompanying music video before hitting streaming a week later. The song featured production from both Clams Casino and Surf Gang’s Evilgiane. What do you think of Earl Sweatshirt enjoying some Playboi Carti music during a recent concert? ASAP Rocky’s New Album Could Arrive Sometime This Month

Fans have been dying for a new project from ASAP Rocky. The rapper hasn’t dropped a new studio album since TESTING in 2018, but that drought could end soon. He’s released a pair of new songs this year and made quite a splash during her performance at Rolling Loud Festival in Miami a few weeks ago. Now he’s dropped a tweet that has fans in a frenzy. The actual text of the tweet is pretty simple saying simply “AWGEST.” But those six letters have quite a deep implication. AWGE is Rocky’s creative agency which he combined with August, implying something big could be coming this month.

Fans in the comments underneath the tweet took the theory and ran with it. “awgest=august so carti also part of awge that means carti and rocky dropping august,” says one of the top comments. “SO ALBUM THIS MONTH?!?” asks a fan. One of the top comments seems to say what everyone is thinking. “so when’s the album bro.” ASAP Rocky has been teasing a new album called Don’t Be Dumb for a while. Now the album could potentially arrive just a few weeks after Utopia the highly anticipated new project from Travis Scott. During his show at Rolling Loud Rocky played some new music that fans interpreted as a Travis Scott diss.

ASAP Rocky’s Latest Tease

Travis Scott wasn’t the only one that ASAP Rocky reportedly took shots at during Rolling Loud. He also called out controversial figures Ian Connor and ASAP Bari, which many fans supported. But after the show, Ian Connor shared some DMs with the rapper where he could be seen walking back on his comments.

Late last month, ASAP Rocky dropped his new song “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’N).” It was his second new song of the year following “Same Problems?” which came out in January. The new song also got a new militant music video with Rocky sporting one of his most attention-grabbing pieces of jewelry to date. What do you think of ASAP Rocky continuing to tease the release of his new album? Let us know in the comment section below.

Playboi Carti Plays New Music At Rolling Loud Miami, Says New Album Is Coming “ASAP”

Playboi Carti just had an incredibly eventful and surprisingly enlightening night for his Rolling Loud Miami headlining performance. Of course, Cardi’s energy absolutely electrified the crowd as he went through old classics, Whole Lotta Red hits, and even new unreleased music. Given his time back in the studio, this is incredibly exciting news for fans who have been waiting for a new release for almost three years now. Moreover, it seems like the trap pioneer only gets bigger with each passing festival set, and he brought a lot of special things for this concert in particular beyond the songs he played. Furthermore, he recreated an Opium gas station onstage with some cars to boot, and he got to interact with a lot of fans that followed him around afterwards.

During these interactions, Playboi Carti suggested that his new album, rumored to be titled Music, will be out “ASAP.” While this may seem like wishful thinking to many, other recent revelations point to that conclusion, as well. For example, he recently announced the “Antagonist” tour, which will feature him, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang. What’s more is that, according to descriptions of the Opium trek from its Berlin venue, Music is set to release at some point during these performance dates.

Elsewhere during his Miami weekend, Playboi Carti hit the E11EVEN nightclub for a wild and bizarre afterparty. That’s because, as the 26-year-old performed atop a cage, his Opium labelmates stood inside it. Sure, it’s just a nightclub performance, but this adds onto the stacked list of raucous and provocative stage design that Carti graces festivals with. For those who went to Rolling Loud Miami last year, you may remember that his cohorts wrecked white vans with baseball bats as he performed. Regardless, he got to interact with fans and even did his first “interview” in years thanks to a fit check from Chris Smoove.

Meanwhile, fans call the new track that Carti featured during Rolling Loud Miami 2023 “Pop Out.” He’s previewed it before, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting to listen to, especially when you have a screaming vamp in front of you. Throughout his set, he consistently thanked fans for their support, and all this hype around him suggests that we’ll get Music soon. Who Are The Openers For Playboi Carti’s ‘Antagonist Tour?’

A few days ago, there were rumors that Playboi Carti was getting ready to announce a tour, rumors prompted by billboard that had popped up. The rumors have been confirmed now, as today (July 12), the rapper announced he’s embarking on the Antagonist Tour. But who is he taking with him?

Carti has a few openers who will join him on the trek, all from his Opium Collective. One of them is Destroy Lonely, an Atlanta rapper who has spent the past few years building buzz with a series of mixtapes. That built up to If Looks Could Kill, his debut album from May that managed a debut at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 chart. (The album was also one of Uproxx’s most anticipated releases of this past spring.) The single “If Looks Could Kill” also made it onto the hip-hop charts.

Also joining the tour is Ken Carson, another Atlanta rapper who found some TikTok fame in late 2022 thanks to a dance to the song that was popularized by folks like Rico Nasty. Then there’s Homixide Gang, who are fresh off performing at Wireless Festival this past weekend. Their latest album, Snot Or Not, just dropped in April.

Check out the upcoming tour dates here.
