Playboi Carti Dropping New Music Very Soon, Producer F1lthy Seemingly Confirms

Whether it’s for new music drops or his close association with other celebrities, Playboi Carti is drumming up a whole lot of noise right now. Moreover, fans couldn’t be more excited for his new album, which is presumably titled Music and will come out in early 2024. Some fans hope it’s a January release date, and while all signs point to there right now, we never know for sure with the Atlanta rage pioneer. However, one of his most acclaimed producers over the past few years just suggested on social media that the wait won’t be much longer. Well, at least for something new; maybe it’ll just be a single coming in the next few hours, it seems.

Furthermore, F1lthy took to Twitter recently to answer stylist Mitch Modes’ inquiry about a rumor they heard: that a new Playboi Carti track titled “Baby Boi” is dropping today (December 31). As of writing this article, nothing’s come up yet, but the producer still added fuel to the fire. “I heard that too !!!” he responded to Modes’ rumor. In addition, it’s unclear whether this would be another social media-only drop like “H00DBYAIR” or if it will officially become available on streaming services. Either way, we’re sure fans will spin it endlessly.

However, there’s also some alleged beef brewing in the world of Playboi Carti. Recently, he shared a screenshot of an old Young Thug tweet that reads “Boy slow down dropping all that BS music.” Some fans assumed this could be a shot at Lil Uzi Vert, who had released the new track “Red Moon” a day prior. Still, there’s a lot of people that the “OnThatTime” artist could’ve dug at with this reference, and there’s no use in speculating.

Meanwhile, there’s some legitimate beef in the form of his mention of Benji Blue Bills on a recent cut, which got him quite heated. Benji released a video “reacting” to the supposed “diss,” which many fans thought looked staged or at the very least exaggerated. Regardless, we’re sure that Music will hold a lot more curious lyrical content that will send folks into wild theories and narratives. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Playboi Carti.

Are Playboi Carti & Camila Cabello Dating?

Music fans love to speculate about artists’ relationships for some reason, and the latest dating rumor to arise has involved two truly unlikely candidates for pairing in rapper Playboi Carti and pop singer Camila Cabello. Of course, they have contributed their part to fueling these rumors, according to HipHopDX. Earlier this month, Carti posted a photo of himself and Cabello in the studio with the caption “Baby girl,” then posted another yesterday (Tuesday, December 26) of a screenshot she sent him while they were on a FaceTime call.

Fans have, of course, run away with a narrative, expressing amazement at the apparently dramatic shift in Cabello’s associations (she was previously linked to Shawn Mendes). However, they could just be working on a collaboration, as the singer has shown a fondness for looping in popular, unconventional rappers to spice up her pop hits in the past. A prime example would be her 2017 single “Havana,” which featured Young Thug (which apparently only happened because Gunna’s manager turned down the original collab request). Earlier this month, fans also speculated that she could be dating Drake after they spent time together on a boat.

Carti, of course, has been linked to some eyebrow-raising celebrities, himself. He shares a son with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea — which Iggy insinuates isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Lil Yachty Bumps “Whole Lotta Red” At The Dinner Table In Resurfaced Video

For many rap fans, the most memorable part of Christmas day 2020 had nothing to do with the holiday celebrations. That was the date Playboi Carti surprise released his album Whole Lotta Red. The project arrived with no announcement ahead of time and no pre-release singles. For the rapper’s most die-hard fans some of the holiday festivities had to be put on hold so they could listen to his highly-anticipated new album. But in Lil Yachty’s case, he just let the album soundtrack his holiday affair.

In a new video shared by DJ Akademiks, Yachty is at the dinner table eating a meal with his family on Christmas morning. But just like many other Carti fans at the time, he’s bumping Whole Lotta Red while doing it. The hilarious video sees the rapper trying to get his family to vibe along with the music, though it doesn’t exactly work. “Bro was just trying to eat,” one of the top comments jokes in reference to his families lukewarm reaction. Check out the hilarious clip below.

Lil Yachty Bumps “Whole Lotta Red” On Christmas

Recently, Lil Yachty has done some reflecting on his time being signed to the Quality Control label. In an interview earlier this month he reflected on the competitive environment surrounding the label when he first joined. In particular he noted how competitive he felt with Migos, citing Quavo as being specifically skeptical of Yachty when he first arrived.

During a separate conversation, label founder Coach K shared some details on the label’s early days with Yachty. He revealed that it took years of work before the label was ever turning a profit. It was a surprising revelation for fans as the label is now synonymous with success for artists coming out of Atlanta. What do you think of Lil Yachty making his family members listen to Whole Lotta Red on Christmas? Did you spend Christmas Day 2020 listening to the album as well? Travis Scott Reveals Why He Played “FE!N” 10 Times In A Row At Recent Show

Earlier this year Travis Scott released his highly-anticipated and feature-packed new album UTOPIA. The album has spawned some big hits like “I KNOW ?” and “MELTDOWN” with Drake and spent multiple weeks at the top spot on the Billboard 200. Unsurprisingly, Travis turned around pretty quickly to take the album on an absolutely massive tour. The CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour took off earlier this year and has stunned audiences in numerous stadiums across North America.

In particular, Travis Scott delivered a major performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center earlier this week. In the immediate aftermath of the show one particular story caught on. That surrounded one particular moment when a moving piece of stage decor bumped into Travis, knocking him down to a lower point on the stage. The moment was nearly a disaster though he thankfully avoided any kind of injury and was able to continue performing. But when he sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show he discussed an entirely different element of the Brooklyn show.

Travis Scott On Jimmy Fallon

During his concert in Brooklyn, Travis Scott performed his Playboi Carti-featuring hit “FE!N” 10 times. When he sat down with Fallon a few days later he explained why he chose to do it. “Man, I have the best fans in the world and I go off the energy they give me, and they were wild that night, and so I just got even wilder,” Scott explains. He promised a similarly exciting show up next when he will hit up another legendary NY venue. “Tonight I plan on going even crazier at Madison Square Garden.”

Scott also narrowly avoided injury while sitting courtside at a recent Knicks game. He had a loose ball fly in his direction that thankfully avoided hitting him, but instead spilled a significant portion of his drink. What do you think of Travis Scott performing “FE!N” 10 times in a row during a recent show in Brooklyn? Do you think you would vibe with the song being performed so many times consecutively? Let us know in the comment section below.

For those who still use Tidal, Jay-Z dropped a new playlist of his favorite songs of 2023 on the app (revealed via a live session) — and some of the picks might be surprising. Of course, the rapper included his wife, Beyoncé, and her new “My House” track that appeared in her Renaissance Tour film.

He also gave a nod to some other close musicians. Drake was included on Jay-Z’s list, with his song “8am In Charlotte,” the second single from the Canadian rapper’s For All The Dogs album, according to HotNewHipHop.

Travis Scott and Playboi Carti’s “Fe!n” collaboration was also one of Jay’s favorites. He also included JID and Lil Yachty, who teamed up on the “Half Doin Dope” track.

In recent years, Jay-Z’s year-end playlist of his favorite songs has become a fun tradition. Through scrolling around on Tidal, it seems he has made the annual lists since 2018.

God Isn’t Supposed To Play Favorites, But God Texted Playboi Carti ‘You’re The Best Of All Time’

Last Christmas, Playboi Carti ended his social media hiatus to vaguely write two things on X (formerly Twitter): “Hello Twitter” and “love all my supporters it’s time.” Understandably, fans took this as the beginning of a musical rollout, but Carti made them wait another year. Last week, he dropped his single “2024,” and on Tuesday, December 19, he surprise-dropped another song, “H00DByAir,” alongside a video in the form of an Instagram Reel posted by Opium.

Carti remained active on Instagram over the last 24 hours, re-sharing praise for “H00DByAir” to his Instagram Story, including this post by Schoolboy Q and screenshots of texts from, um, unlikely sources.

“Yooo on the flight bumping this sh*t!!!” someone saved under the contact name “Sex” texted Carti. “Congrats dear, f*ck yeah it’s so so good!!!” That was followed by a screenshot from God — or, a contact saved as “God” — texting, “Biggest in the world. You’re the best of all time. The greatest.”

Perhaps the main focus should be what all of this activity says about when Carti will finally drop his first album since 2020’s Whole Lotta Red widely believed to be titled I Am Music based upon Carti’s Instagram profile picture as well as his usage of the #IAmMusic hashtag — but I am way more interested in finding out who “God” and “Sex” are.

It should also be noted that Carti posted “YVES” in the same lettering as his “I AM MUSIC” profile picture. Complex chalked up that as Carti clarifying the spelling of his newborn daughter’s name, which was initially assumed to be “Eve.” When “H00DByAir” dropped on Tuesday night, December 19, many people noticed that Carti announced his newest child toward the end of the song with the lyrics, “I was 24 when I had lil’ Onyx / Then I had a daughter, I had a daughter too / 27 when I had Yves / Now I can finally sleep.”

Playboi Carti Seemingly Reveals He Welcomed A New Baby In His Surprise ‘H00DByAir’ Song

Playboi Carti has had fans in a chokehold, wondering when he’ll finally drop his followup to his first-career No. 1 album, Whole Lotta Red, which arrived on Christmas Day in 2020. Last Christmas, Carti returned to social media and appeared to tease that new music was imminent. It wasn’t until last week that he released a new song, “2024,” but fans didn’t have to wait another year for the next development.

On Tuesday, December 19, Carti posted a video to Instagram Story. It features someone screaming (to put it lightly), “CARTI DROPPIN’ AGAIN [EXPLETIVE] TONIGHT!” Written atop the video is, “9:00 PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT CONTENT TUESDAY.”

Shortly thereafter, Carti reshared an Instagram Reel posted by Opium, captioned, “H00DBYAIR #IAMMUSIC.”

Toward the end of the song, Carti raps, “I was 24 when I had lil Onyx / 27 when I had Eve.” As pointed out by XXL, people are assuming that the bar serves as an announcement that Carti has welcomed a baby named Eve. Carti welcomed Onyx, his son with ex Iggy Azalea, in 2020. It must be noted that Carti was arrested for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend last December, as reported by TMZ.

“According to the arrest affidavit, obtained by TMZ, the woman told police the rapper grabbed her by her throat and pushed her, holding her neck until she could barely breathe,” the outlet reported in February. “She even told cops she thought she was going to die. Police say the woman told officers she’s been in a relationship with Playboi Carti for two years, has lived with him since July 2022 and was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged incident on December 20.”

The “H00DByAir” video features appearances by Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, and Ken Carson — fellow Opium Collective members and openers on Carti’s Antagonist Tour, which was postponed in August to 2024.

The “#IAMMUSIC” hashtag all but confirms what was already widely accepted as fact. Carti is reportedly gearing up to release an album “early next year (currently with a tentative release date in January),” per Hypebeast. Earlier this month, Carti posted a word graphic to a since-expired Instagram story reading, “I AM MUSIC,” which currently serves as Carti’s Instagram profile picture, so it’s believed that I Am Music is the album’s title.

Playboi Carti’s “H00DBYAIR” Single Helps Usher In His Next Era

Few rappers have fanbases that ride for them as hard as the Vamps do for Playboi Carti. As he moves toward dropping off his next LP, the Whole Lotta Red hitmaker is feeling their support more than ever before. As they wait for new music from their favourite rapper, many have returned to streaming his 2020 effort, which features Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future.

After returning with “2024” this past weekend, Carti promised that if online plays continued to increase, he would share more music ahead of the new year. Today (December 19), his Instagram feed lit up with the previously teased “H00DBYAIR,” which is receiving rave reviews so far in the comments. “How do you drop a song [in] the last week of this year and it’s still better than everything else dropped from the last 350 days?” one user asked.

“Better than Kanye,” another person argued. The Yeezy founder’s Vultures project with Ty Dolla Sign was expected to hit streamers earlier this month. However, sample clearance issues are causing delays, and West now hopes to share his album on New Years Eve. Once both rappers have unleashed their latest work, we’re curious to see which one will offer more replay value.

Playboi Carti Is Bringing The Extravagant Vibes Only For ‘2024,’ As He Shared His Confident New Song

Playboi Carti dropped his new song, “2024,” just in time for the new year that’s approaching. The track is rumored to be the first preview of his upcoming project, I Am Music, which, according to Hypebeast, might drop in January.

“Yeah, yeah, you came back and you fell, uh / Second place, can’t be in my face, oh, nah / Deep pockets, they think I’m rockin’ Chanel,” he raps, according to Genius, as he points out his champion mentality and extravagant tendencies. “Fat wallet, lil’ b*tch, you know I got here / Out of pocket with your b*tch, Chanel / I’ma grow me some horns, baby, I’m from hell.”

Right now, as a surprise drop from the rapper, the song is only available to listen to on YouTube. However, the release came complete with a music video that matched the energies. It opens with Playboi Carti showing off his car collection and designer luggage, as he performs in his garage. He also unwinds on the hood of a few of the cars, as he throws some money in the air — all while maintaining his rap skills over an entertaining beat.

Later in the video, he dances around with some friends outside of a gas station.

Check out Playboi Carti’s new song, “2024,” above.
