Nicki Minaj Doesn’t Seem To Be Backing Down Amid Alleged Beef With Offset And Cardi B

Nicki Minaj doesn’t seem to be relenting from her alleged beef with Cardi B and Offset. Earlier this past week, a video of her husband, Kenneth Petty, surfaced on the web, in which he appears to be making threats to Offset, standing outside of a hotel where he and Cardi were said to be staying.

After the video surfaced, Minaj doubled down, sharing a snippet of new music on Twitter, on which, she raps, “I can’t be playin’…I married a G/ I got some…that do what I say, if I tell ’em to shoot, they pull up on the three.”

DJ Vlad later slammed Minaj, taking to Twitter to blast this move.

“Nicki Minaj’s husband is on house arrest for threatening Offset,” Vlad said. “Right after that, she previews a song on IG saying she got killers who will pull up and do what she say. This was the same Nicki who threatened to send her husband to Akademiks’ house for his comments about her.”

Last night (September 22), Minaj took to her Instagram livestream, in which she is seen in a studio ahead of an airing of her Queen Radio Amp show. She is surrounded by people who seem to be backing her up. Minaj doesn’t directly address Vlad’s comments, and issued a warning, saying, “It’s a difference between making calls and calling the shots” throughout the stream.

Neither Cardi B nor Offset appear to have responded to this particular line.

Turns out that everyone’s chiming in on the Kenneth Petty and Offset situation, which escalated into a firestorm. For example, apparently Nicki Minaj and her husband targeted Jason Lee, according to new claims the Hollywood Unlocked founder made. While that doesn’t have much to do with Petty’s beef with the rapper, it’s hard to take either without the context of the other. Moreover, Nick Cannon became the most recent celebrity to speak on this incident, and it wasn’t very forgiving. Still, it’s just a lot of gossip and Internet drama at this point, since it didn’t go beyond just a few videos of him and his friends staking ‘Set out.

“He is tarnishing the brand,” Nick Cannon began his remarks. “You’re standing on the corner of the block outside of the VMAs. If you a street dude, be a street dude. Don’t be on the Internet! Street dudes didn’t even get on the phone. Real gangsters move in silence! He got a bunch of other cats around him. ‘Yeah, we outside.’ We know, n***a! I’m all for keeping it street, but keep it street smart. You on punishment, no TV for you for 120 days.“

Nick Cannon Speaks On Kenneth Petty Being Street On The Internet

Furthermore, Nick Cannon wasn’t the only celebrity to speak specifically on Kenneth Petty’s street persona. Charlamagne Tha God also offered a similar view on The Breakfast Club. “Number one, you should’ve been let go of all the childish ways of the street, first and foremost,” he started off. “That’s number one. But number two, I remember a time where folks wouldn’t talk about any dirt over the phone. Now y’all recording yourselves in 4K and posting it online? I know law enforcement be having a ball looking at these n***as.”

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj still stands by her husband through it all, and even insinuated that Cardi B had something to do with this. At least, that’s what fans think. In any case, it’s clear that many agree with the father of 12’s assessment of the situation. We’ll see if there’s anything more to this story in the near future. Cardi B Breaks Silence On Kenneth Petty House Arrest Ruling

Recently, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been involved in a sort of proxy beef. The pair did have their moment all the way back in 2018 when they beefed directly spawning from their collaboration on the Migos song “MotorSport.” Since then they haven’t engaged each other directly very much. That hasn’t stopped fans from continuing to compare the two artist’s success to each other. But earlier this month they got about as close as they ever have to re-starting the beef.

That came when their husbands, Offset and Kenneth Petty respectively, started off a beef of their own. Cardi and Nicki haven’t said much directly, merely standing behind their men. But the boys have taken much more direct shots at each other, with something Petty said even reaching the point of threatening Offset. As a result, a house arrest sentence he was recently released from was reinstated as the threat violated the terms of his release. That spawned new responses from just about everyone involved, including Cardi.

Cardi B Speaks On Kenneth Petty House Arrest

“EXACTLY KEEP ME AND MY MANS OUT YALL F*CKING MOUTH!!!” Cardi B said in a new tweet responding to the situation. In the comments of a repost of the tweet fans mostly took Cardi’s side. “Yea like what cardi look like calling his p.o or offset he did this on the World Wide Web,” one of the top comment reads. “This situation making me realize y’all really have some weird hatred towards Cardi B. Like damn she popping that bad she have so many haters,” another agrees.

Elsewhere in the comments, fans discuss why the beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj even exists. “you would think after 5 years everybody would move on,” another one of the top comments reads. Cardi’s newest single “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion just debuted in the top 15 on the Hot 100. Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2 is expected later this year. It looks like rap beef is a family affair. Today, legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff (aka “Meghann Thee Reporter” for her role in reporting Tory Lanez’s trial for shooting Megan Thee Stallion) reported that Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, was ordered to serve 120 days on house arrest for making threats against Cardi B and Offset.

Technically, Petty was in violation of his probation agreement for failing to register as a sex offender when he and Nicki moved to Los Angeles in 2019. After he agreed to a plea deal in 2021, he was sentenced to three years of probation. His specific violation was recorded as “making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” So…

What Did Kenneth Petty Say To Offset?

Last weekend, Petty and some friends — at least one of whom apparently has a criminal record — recorded themselves walking around in New York City taunting Offset. Offset and Cardi were apparently staying at a hotel in the neighborhood, prompting Petty to post the tough-talking videos wondering, “Offset, where you at? We outside… Stay on that vacation before we planning ya’ funeral p*ssy. Always been a street n****.”

Although what exactly prompted all this remains unclear, the entire fiasco supposedly originated at the recent 2023 MTV VMAs, which both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj attended. The tension between the two women is well-documented, but it was their husbands who allegedly took up the feud. One of Petty’s allies claimed that it all started when Offset DMed him on Instagram asking, “Where you located?”

This was apparently in response to threats against Cardi from either Petty or his friends. Fans speculated online that this is what prompted Cardi to tweet, “I ain’t even flinch.” She’s since deleted the tweet but as usual, fans on Twitter have been stoking the beef ever since. Certainly the news that Petty has been punished by the court was well received by Cardi herself, though:

Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Kenneth Petty’s “Lame” Offset Feud

The Breakfast Club joined the online debate and addressed the Kenneth Petty and Offset situation, with Charlamagne Tha God in particular having some harsh words for the former. For those unaware, Nicki Minaj’s husband wanted to confront the rapper at this year’s VMAs last week and threatened him along with some of his friends. Eventually, he jabbed at the Georgia MC by telling him to plan his own funeral. While ‘Set seemed to laugh the whole thing off, that reaction didn’t stop people from criticizing this general approach and attitude. Moreover, Charlamagne spoke on how Petty is too old to be petty now, and recalled a time during which the Internet didn’t prompt people to boast about their street life.

“You lame, like, there’s nothing fly about that type of behavior,” Charlamagne Tha God remarked to the airwaves and his co-hosts. “The reality is that he earned that, ’cause you have the audacity to be acting like that on the FBI’s Internet. You 45 years old, you already on probation, you have a crazy criminal record already. You telling somebody to plan their funeral online?

Kenneth Petty Gets Harsh Words From Charlamagne Tha God

“Like, you begging to go to prison,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “And it’s incredible to me that all these street dudes have let the Internet make them forget street rules. Number one, you should’ve been let go of all the childish ways of the street, first and foremost. That’s number one. Meanwhile, turns out that Petty’s actions resulted in more harsh consequences than he probably expected. After these threats became big news, a Los Angeles federal judge ordered him to serve 120 days of home detention. Maybe this is where the buck stops, but what’s clear is that nobody’s really looking for this to go any further, other than perhaps the 45-year-old. Nicki Minaj’s Husband Violated His Parole When He Threatened Offset On Video, So A Judge Placed Him On House Arrest

Now that Tory Lanez has been transferred to state prison — with a fresh mugshot and all — to serve his 10-year sentence after being found guilty on three felony counts related to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet three years ago, Los Angeles-based legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff can turn her attention toward other matters.

On Wednesday night, September 20, Cuniff posted court documents to X (formerly known as Twitter) showing that United States District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald “has ordered Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, to serve ‘up to 120 days on home detention’ for ‘making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.’”

“For background, US Dictrict Judge Michael Fitzgerald in July 2022 sentenced Petty to three years probation for failing to register as a sex offender,” Cuniff added.

This is related to videos that circulated last weekend of Petty and his crew spitting vitriol toward Offset and Cardi B, his wife, including a threat to “knock the veneers” out of Cardi B’s mouth.

In response, Offset posted video to his since-expired Instagram story, giggling and mocking Petty.

Two years ago, Nicki Minaj, along with Petty, were named in a lawsuit for allegedly harassing Jennifer Hough, whom Petty was convicted of raping back in 1995. Earlier this year, Minaj’s motion to sanction Tyrone Blackburn, Hough’s lawyer, was denied by an East New York judge.

Nicki Minaj has been pretty busy recently. She served double during last week’s MTV Video Music Awards serving as both the host of the event and a performer. She joined Lil Wayne, LL COOL J, and more in a tribute to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. Minaj also made the live debut of her new single “Last Time I Saw You.” The song already has over 18 million streams on Spotify and debuted at number 23 on the Hot 100 last week. But while all of that was going on, her husband Kenneth Petty has been beefing with Offset.

It’s a complicated beef because Nicki and Offset’s wife Cardi B have a history. The two are often compared to each other by fans and they had pretty tangible beef of their own spawning from the 2018 Migos song “MotorSport.” That’s why many online have been weighing in on the back and forth between Offset and Petty as a sort of proxy beef between the two artists. Now in the heat of the rivalry, Nicki is pouring some gasoline on the fire by sharing pictures of her family. The pictures themselves are quite wholesome with Nicki and Kenneth hanging out and spending some time with their son Papa Bear while posing for pictures. Unsurprisingly though, most of the fans in the comments are talking about beef.

Offset And Key Glock Share Friendly Game Of Ping Pong At Colorado Buffaloes Game

Colorado University is probably the biggest thing in sports right now. Ever since former legendary NFL cornerback Deion Sanders took the head coaching job, no one can stop talking about them. It is for good reason though, as the team has seen the most press and success they have seen in quite some time. Just last season the Buffaloes went. Now, they have already tripled their win total, as they currently sit at 3-0. Two of their three victories did not come easy after a shootout with TCU and a physical rivalry game this past Saturday with Colorado State. It went into double overtime with the Buffaloes escaping the Rams and some serious stars saw the action live including Offset.

The Migos member has recently been having a whirlwind of the past few weeks. He recently was at the VMAs supporting Cardi B. Additionally, he announced the release of his sophomore album, SET IT OFF, which is due October 13. Finally, he has been in a mixup with Nicki Minaj and her man, Kenneth Petty. It is safe to say the rapper could use some time to himself and that is what he did heading up to the Centennial State.

Offset Is Having A Blast In Colorado: Watch

Offset made sure to make the most of this experience so he participated in a few different things. One of which was a civil ping pong match with Memphis rapper Key Glock. In the video above you can see the two chopping it up and having a good time. Then, the “FAN” rapper became a fan during the Buffaloes game. he stood up in front of thousands of rabid students, helping them get into it by ramping them up. Maybe this gave the team life after they struggled for most of the game.
