Offset is getting ready for his latest album, Set it Off, revealing a tracklist with many A-list stars coming aboard for features. Hitting social media, Offset revealed the tracklist for the album featuring his wife, Cardi B, Yung Nudy, Chloe, Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more.

Motown Records has set the stage for the release of Offset’s first solo studio album since 2019’s acclaimed Father of Four. Titled Set It Off, the album is scheduled to drop on Oct. 13, marking a highly anticipated return for the prolific artist.

With the album’s pre-order launch, Offset has unveiled his fierce and infectious new single, “FAN.” This track was crafted with the collaborative efforts of producers Aaron Bow, FNZ, Teddy Walton, Thank You Fizzle, and Thurdi.

In an exciting twist, Offset directed the official music video for “FAN,” paying homage to the legendary Michael Jackson. The video features Offset and Paige Hurd (Power Book II: GHOST, Tyler Perry’s The Oval, Everybody Hates Chris) in a narrative that takes unexpected turns as the streets around them erupt in turmoil. The video also includes appearances by Twitch star/streamer Kai Cenat and Twitch star Fanum, all set against the backdrop of Los Angeles.

Offset Is Ready To ‘Set It Off’ With Features From Cardi B, Latto, And Future On His Upcoming Album

It’s almost time for Offset to return with his new album, Set It Off. The album will be his first solo release since 2019’s Father Of 4. You can check out the tracklist, which features Cardi B, Chlöe, Don Toliver, Future, Latto, Mango Foo, Travis Scott, and Young Nudy, below.

Offset originally planned to release Set It Off in 2022, but he pushed the album back in response to the death of his friend and Migos bandmate Takeoff.

At the time of Takeoff’s death, Offset was on the outs with his bandmates, but after reportedly getting into a fight with Quavo backstage at the 2023 Grammys in February, the two Atlanta natives were apparently able to settle their dispute, reuniting with a performance at the 2023 BET Awards.

Quavo released the reflective solo album Rocket Power in August, while Offset kicked off his own album rollout with “Jealousy” in July.

Usher Performs With Offset At His Paris Residency: Watch

Usher’s return to music has included a whole bunch of storylines. One of the biggest pop culture news stories of 2023 was the drama including Keke Palmer and her ex Darius Jackson. That got messy, but Usher has made it clear he wants no more parts in that. Additionally, he has been talking a lot about his lengthy residency in Las Vegas and he was just picked to perform during one of the grandest sports events. He will be hosting the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but he had more news to share on top of that.

After a five-year album hiatus, he will be making a return with a new album on the day of the big game. His last release came back on October 12, 2018. It was a short collaborative project titled “A” with trap-producing legend, Zaytoven. We still have five months before that all happens, but it is great to see one of the most beloved R&B legends make a ceremonious comeback. He continues to ride this amazing winning streak with a recent performance during his residency in Paris.

According to HipHopDX, it is an eight-day stay and he is making the most of it. Right after performing “Ni**as In Paris” as a witty reference to that iconic Jay-Z and Kanye West track, he brought a Southern legend. “Bad and Boujee” began to play and out came Offset. In the video above from Usher’s Instagram, he is dancing and having a blast with him in front of the rabid fans. The Texas singer captioned the post, “We from the SOUTH yeah THAT WAY 👉🏾👉🏾 @offsetyrn.” Maybe both will work together on a song together?

What are your initial thoughts on Usher bringing out Offset to perform during his Paris residency? Do you think both of these artists will be on each other’s next albums? Offset Teases Another Track From “SET IT OFF” With Don Toliver: Listen

Atlanta rapper and Migos affiliate, Offset, has been relentlessly teasing and prodding his fans with tracks off his next album. His solo sophomore release, SET IT OFF, is due to be out on all streaming platforms on October 13. The sales numbers could be swayed due to how much music is expected to be out that day, but, nonetheless, a lot of people will be tuning in. It is for good reason too. Offset has already put out two nice tasters. The first of which was “JEALOUSY” with Cardi B, has already racked up over 27 million streams in just two months.

Following that, on September 15, “FAN” dropped and that got even more people excited. His terrific flows and resentful lyrics about cutting toxic people off made for a great listen. The music video for it was also enticing because of the references to Michael Jackson’s classic song “Thriller.” Offset’s rollout continued with he and Travis Scott bumping a little bit of their track at a listening event. The song is rumored by Offset to be called “SAY MY GRACE.” Finally, the most recent teaser was with Playboi Carti and that has fans buzzing too.

People’s anticipation for this record has to be through the roof now because Offset also let the cat out of the bag again. Don Toliver also appears to be a feature on SET IT OFF. At the same event as the Playboi teaser, he played a snippet of his and Toliver’s song. It sounds like it will be more of an R&B type of vibe with some nice guitar sampling in the instrumental. It should be safe to say this has the makings of a great album for Offset.

What are your initial thoughts on this new teaser from Offset and Don Toliver? Is “SET IT OFF” going to be one of the best rap albums of 2023? Will he surpass his solo debut album or will he regress? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Bobbi Althoff Roasted By Offset For Her Outfit: “You Put That Together?”

Thanks to the social media age, creatives have been afforded the opportunity to promote their work in many different ways. Before, they were mostly limited to appearing on traditional radio and TV shows to discuss their projects. Now, shows like Chicken Shop Date and The Really Good Podcast are providing stars with unconventional opportunities to show off their personality. The former show seldom receives negative reviews. However, the latter – hosted by 26-year-old Bobbi Althoff – has come under fire for its uncomfortably awkward nature. Her most recent guest was Offset. It became abundantly clear that being married to Cardi B was all the preparation the former Migo needed to combat Althoff’s attitude.

Besides his upcoming album, Set and the host discussed plenty of relevant topics, including fashion, which the rapper has always been a big fan of. “I’m really fly tho, and it’s like, you don’t get it,” the father of five markedly told Althoff. The stark contrast in their outfits (he looked ready to attend a runway show or hit the club, while Althoff was more prepared for a trip to the grocery store) clearly proves that they’re in different leagues when it comes to style, but that didn’t stop Offset from roasting the podcaster.

Bobbi Althoff’s Attitude is No Match for Offset

When the mother of one asked the lyricist to stop being mean to her, he responded, “I’m not being mean, I’m just passionate because I want people to get it. If they don’t get it, they’ll dress like you and be lost.” All Althoff could say to that was, “Oh?” causing viewers to crack up. “Like, why would you go 2000s tank with the open button up?” Set continued to berate Althoff.

“I don’t claim to be into fashion and you do,” she defensively shot back. “Yeah, but see, the thing is, if that was the case then you would’ve just came in here with a big a**. hoodie on and some sweatpants. You really tried… You put that together? It’s just not all the way together. I can get it together tho,” the “Clout” hitmaker assured her.

Last year’s award show was equally memorable. Per usual, it’s a night to remember in pop culture. One viral moment that made headlines last year was when Latto won “Song Of The Year.” Fans remember when Kodak Black had something to publicly say regarding her win. He expressed he felt that the network should have been boycotted for awarding Latto with the honor. “This whole s**t looked like a damn plot. Then I look at the ‘gram like what shorty blocked me for?” Kodak said on an IG live rant. “They probably hollerin’ at BET, like don’t give him that s**t. I told [people] weeks ago, ‘Watch they finna play with me and give it to frappuccino.’” Latto had her own clapback, which she shared on X (F.K.A. Twitter), “What kinda frappuccino I look like I taste like??? [tongue emoji].” Stay tuned to HNHH for more moments and music news.

Nicki Minaj & Cardi B’s Beef Timeline: How Did It Start?

With the hostilities between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj — and their husbands, Offset and Kenneth Petty — heating up again after a few years on simmer, you may be wondering how all this got started in the first place. Don’t worry; Uproxx has you covered. Here’s a timeline of just how the feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got started and what’s happened since then. While there’s been plenty of speculation about who said what about whom, we’ll just stick with the facts.

The Beginning — 2017

In our original timeline of the Nicki/Cardi feud, we noted that everything likely starts with Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow” release. The ensuing fan and media frenzy surrounding it led to the song becoming the first by a solo female rap artist to reach No. on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” — a goal Nicki had pursued and fallen short of for nearly a decade prior.

However, the song was still several weeks away from its peak when Nicki Minaj’s fans, known as Barbz, began throwing shade at Cardi. At the time, it had been nearly three years since Nicki had last released an album. Perhaps the Barbz perceived a threat to Nicki’s dominance or simply wanted to see a fight, but either way, they got one — ironically, as a result of the two women’s attempted show of solidarity.

Open Conflict — 2017 – 2018

In October 2017, Migos added Cardi B to their Culture II single, “Motorsport.” This turned out to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. After the song’s video was released in November, news of behind-the-scenes drama between the two began to trickle out. Nicki and Cardi’s scenes were shot separately, leading to more speculation of tension between them, and after it was revealed that Migos added Cardi without consulting Nicki and that Nicki’s verse was allegedly changed at the request of Cardi’s label, Atlantic, there was no stopping the oncoming train wreck.

In April 2018, Nicki began openly throwing Cardi under the bus in interviews while promoting her 2018 album Queen, which was due just a few months after Cardi’s debut Invasion Of Privacy. Invasion turned out to be a coronation, Cardi’s victory lap solidifying her as a breakout star. In interviews, Nicki called out Cardi for being “ungrateful” and for not backing up her explanation for their separate shoot days, which involved a scheduling conflict with her hairstylist.

In September 2018, things erupted, as their meeting at a New York Fashion Week party that year led to a physical altercation in which Cardi threw a show at Nicki, getting a bump on the forehead from one of the older rapper’s bodyguards in return. Since then, they’ve returned to less open hostilities, settling into a cold war, complete with proxy fighters and accusations of sneak disses flying from fans on both sides.

The Cold War — 2019 – Now

Since then, the closest either side has come to outright beef has been in the wake of Nicki’s 2022 “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix),” which featured rappers Akbar V, BIA, JT, Katie Got Bandz, and Maliibu Miitch. In the weeks after its release, Akbar V and JT both lashed out at Cardi — ostensibly at the behest of Nicki Minaj, if you were to ask fans what prompted the exchanges.

Eventually, both feuds petered out though, returning to status quo until the 2023 MTV VMAs — the first time they’d both appeared at such a function since their NYFW fight. Now, details of the inciting event are murky, but it appears that some sort of exchange between the two rappers’ crews backstage took place that led to Cardi apparently being threatened but later boasting on Twitter that “I ain’t even flinch.”

Then, the next weekend, Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, posted a video with his crew roaming New York, apparently looking for Offset. While Offset laughed off their threats, a judge apparently did not, slapping Petty with a probation violation (he is serving a suspended sentence for failing to register as a sex offender in California) and sentencing him to house arrest.

In the aftermath, Nicki seemed not to sweat the sentence, sharing a song snippet from her upcoming album Pink Friday 2 that references her husband’s “G” status and having shooters.

The key to all this might just be in that last bit, though; beef sells — supposedly — and with both rappers gearing up to release new full-length projects, don’t be surprised if this list gets longer in the near future.

When Does Offset & Bobbi Althoff’s Interview Come Out?

Hip-hop podcast newbie Bobbi Althoff is back with another sit-down conversation. Since the TikTok influencer’s inaugural The Really Good podcast episode with Drake, Althoff has left fans of the culture torn over her interviewing style. That division was heightened when Lil Yachty made an appearance in July. It has been revealed that “Fan” rapper Offset will be the next rap superstar to join Althoff for an awkward conversation.

So when does Offset & Bobbi Althoff’s interview come out? According to the caption in Althoff’s latest Instagram upload, the episode will be released on her official YouTube page this Thursday, September 28.

In their forthcoming exchange’s teaser clip (inserted above), Offset cut right through Althoff’s typical “I don’t know you” shtick. When Offset began questioning Althoff about her interest in interviewing subjects, she revealed that she simply enjoys getting to know people on a deeper level. That response led him to ask why she wanted to chat with him; Althoff revealed that she didn’t have that same desire to learn about the former Migos member.

“Your team reached out to mine,” she said.

Offset quickly shuts her down. “Don’t cap, let’s not cap about that — flag on the play. Cap,” the entertainer replied.

The two exchange jabs, ultimately ending with Offset setting the record that she’s still relatively new in the industry. “They had to show me who Bobbi was. I thought they were talking about Bobby Boucher,” said Offset, referring to the fictional character played by Adam Sandler in the 1998 comedy film The Waterboy.

Althoff attempts to make a quippy comeback. “I never heard of you. I had to Google you,” Althoff interjected.

“I had to go on TikTok, I couldn’t even Google you,” Offset joked. “You’re not there yet. But you’ll be there. But you’re on TikTok.”

Catch the full episode on 9/28.

Offset & Bobbi Althoff Give Off Hilariously Awkward Energy In Interview Snippet

A new Bobbi Althoff rap interview is on the way, and you can expect some more awkward but hilariously entertaining vibes from it. Moreover next guest is Offset, as she teased in a small snippet of their conversation that she uploaded to her TikTok page. In it, they debate how they actually linked up, jokingly bickering over who’s team reached out to who. Also, the viral interviewer answered the Georgia MC’s question about why she talks to people by saying she wants to get to know her guests. Funnily enough, when he asked why she wants to know him, Althoff said that she actually doesn’t.

“C-A-P. Flag on the play,” Offset comically responded to these remarks, and also to those about his team reaching out to her to set this up. Even though they don’t know how this happened, they still kept up an engaging, albeit cringeworthy, back and forth. To do so, they both stayed on the same wavelength. When the former Migo said he had to go on TikTok to find out who she was (because she’s not on Google), Bobbi Althoff said she Googled who he was on her way to the shoot.

Bobbi Althoff Interviewing Offset: Watch

Of course, this might not match the now-infamous interview Bobbi Althoff did with Drake, which propelled her into viral fame in the hip-hop world. She actually ended up deleting the whole thing for unknown reasons, though many speculate that the 6 God had something to do with it. Hopefully, Offset is a better sport if this is true, because these have been pretty bizarre pieces of content that show an interesting side to these artists. Sure, that’s also come with a lot of hate, but name something on the Internet that hasn’t.

Meanwhile, the “FAN” hitmaker has good reason to go on a press run, as unconventional as this interview is. His new album Set It Off is dropping soon, and many fans are excited to hear more in both musical and personal terms. In due time, we’ll see what other quirky and noteworthy moments these two cooked up during their chat. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Offset.
