Mozzy Released From Prison After Short Stint For Club Shooting On No Charges

Fans recently celebrated the release of Mozzy from jail, who served a ten-month prison sentence on federal gun charges. While that news disappointed many of the Sacramento rapper’s listeners, he still kept his career going with plenty of releases in that timeframe. However, the joy of his freedom didn’t last long as authorities detained him following a shooting at a Kansas nightclub he performed at. Moreover, very little information emerged as to the reasoning or implications of this arrest from reports on the matter. “Maaan @MozzyThaMotive came out to our city Wichita, [Kansas] for a dope a** show,” a user captioned a video of the arrest. “Went to [an] after party and then got arrested. SMH, free Mozzy yo, f**k 12.”

Now, it seems like that issue was resolved, as officials released Mozzy following his brief detainment. In addition, reports indicate that authorities pressed no charges against the MC for what went down in Kansas. According to ABC News, the nightclub he had a show in suffered a shooting that left seven shot and two trampled. Apparently police detained him for questioning as a suspect of the shooting, but it turns out that accusation was short-lived.

Mozzy Reportedly Released

Regardless, the CMG signee is probably looking forward to working on his career moves and expressing himself through music once more. After all, his time behind bars didn’t stop him from keeping fans fed, even if it was through a shorter project than many probably wanted. Furthermore, his Kollect Kall EP featured YFN Lucci, E MOZZY, Baby Money, and Celly Ru across six new tracks. Hopefully his release means that authorities cleared him of legal trouble over the tragic shooting, and that they’re working hard to find the true culprit.

Meanwhile, given the 36-year-old’s resilience, he definitely has the spirit to bounce back hard following his troubles. “Life comes at you fast. Sometimes s**t gets real [and] you gotta take that deal,” he stated to the press upon turning himself in for his gun case. “It’ll get slimy out here. Appreciate my loved ones. Chin up, chest out. Love you the most.” For more news and the latest updates on Mozzy, check back in with HNHH.

Travis Scott Performs At Miami Nightclub, Teases Remix With Kodak Black

It’s been almost five full years since Travis Scott dropped his last album, ASTROWORLD. Still, word on his next project UTOPIA remains scant and unfulfilled, and the hype around it easily makes it one of the most anticipated drops of the year. Regardless, La Flame is still popping out every now and then to give fans an update (whether from him or as secondhand information) and turn them up in the process. Moreover, he performed at the E11EVEN nightclub in Miami on Saturday night (May 6). Not only did he play a few of his biggest songs ever, but he also teased a remix of Lil Blessin’s “Likka Sto” featuring him and Kodak Black.

Of course, this is far from the first time that Travis Scott teased fans as to his next drops. At Rolling Loud Thailand, the “MAFIA” MC and Offset teased new music together to an amped crowd. Beyond that, there’s also The Alchemist’s vague response to a fan asking if he’s ever collaborated with Travis. With a simple “lips-sealed” emoji, fans think that a link-up between the legendary producer and the Houston star is on its way.

Travis Scott Parties In Miami

Despite anticipation for UTOPIA and what feel like endless teases akin to ASTROWORLD, the 32-year-old’s catalog still holds a lot of weight today. In fact, it would probably hold fans over for another five years. Recently, Travis Scott’s catalog reached an amazing streaming milestone that speaks to his impact and dominant presence in the game. Furthermore, all of his albums have racked up over 2 billion streams each, landing Scott in an elite pantheon of hip-hop streaming giants. Off of the strength of his bangers, ballads, and everything in between, even near-ten-year-old albums like Rodeo stay in rotation.

Meanwhile, it seems like this nightclub appearance went much better than the one that nabbed him an assault lawsuit. While the NYPD maintained that an active investigation into the incident is still underway, he was able to settle that claim with the alleged victim. Regardless, his rabid fanbase won’t let anything distract them from his next release. Travis Scott Settles Nightclub Assault Case With Victim: Report

As fans anticipate the release of Utopia, Travis Scott found himself in some hot water right before his performance at Rolling Loud LA. The Houston rapper faced accusations of assault and vandalism after he reportedly went haywire at a New York nightclub. Trav was in town to celebrate Don Toliver’s album release but he lost his cool with the sound engineer at Nebulla nightclub and struck him in the face. Afterward, Travis reportedly went on a rampage, destroying $12K worth of equipment in the process.

Though police were called to the scene, reports claim that Travis Scott immediately hopped on a jet and skipped town. However, days after he performed at Rolling Loud in California, he was expected to turn himself into the NYPD. His reps reportedly arranged a meeting with detectives following the incident but it looks like he might be cleared in the long haul. According to TMZ, Scott’s settled the dispute with the engineer and the nightclub recently.

Sources close to the rapper said that he pony’d up some dough to clear out his issues with Nebulla and the sound engineer. Though it’s unclear how much he coughed up, he made things right with both parties. However, he’s not completely off the hook yet. According to police sources, there’s still an “active investigation” into the matter, though it might be hard to file charges. Another law enforcement source said that the actual victim has stopped cooperating in the case altogether.

Without testimony from the alleged victim, it’ll be hard for police to nab Travis Scott but it won’t be impossible. Even though the likelihood of filing charges remains slim, there is a video of Scott’s altercation with the sound engineer that they could use. Additionally, the alleged victim also gave an interview with Fox 5 News where he details his injuries. “My neck is f**ked up. My arm is tingling. I have pins and needles going down it,” he said. Still, it’s unlikely that Scott will face a judge over the matter. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates surrounding the case.

Chris Brown Faces U.K. Police Questioning Over Alleged Glass Bottle Assault At Nightclub

U.K. police will reportedly question Chris Brown over an alleged assault he committed against a man in a nightclub. Moreover, the accuser claimed that he was hit over the head with a glass bottle in a brawl. According to The Sun, the man in question went to a hospital following the fight at Tape nightclub in Hanover Square. While they were non-life-threatening injuries, it’s yet another instance of controversial actions from Brown this week after he reportedly mocked disabled people.

“A row broke out with a guy and Brown’s crowd and the man was hit over the head with a bottle,” a witness said of the incident. “He tried to get up off the ground to escape but he was surrounded and then punched and kicked before security broke it up.” Furthermore, local police authorities reviewed CCTV footage and seek a conversation with the R&B star when he returns to England for performances at The O2. Also, the artist recently tossed a fan’s phone at a show recently, adding damning context to these allegations.

In addition, the 33-year-old recently spoke on an altercation he faced at a club. Furthermore, a video surfaced online of Brown getting testy with a stranger in a club. Then, he took to social media to say he was ready to take things further. “You know you tucked your tail,” he wrote, “you was scared to come outside. You would’ve been doing TIK TOKs from a hospital bed. Weird a** n***a.” Of course, these revelations came after Brown’s intense social media rants about people trying to call out his wrongful behavior.

Meanwhile, the singer’s latest collab with Chlöe drew ire on social media due to said history of violence against women. However, the Bailey sister responded to these pushbacks on Creed III‘s red carpet. “I just want the music and art to speak for itself,” she expressed. “I’m excited for In Pieces, dropping March 31, and I have very exciting news dropping tomorrow. So, I can’t wait to let my fans know.” Regardless of your take on that, stick around on HNHH for the latest on Chris Brown.

Chris Brown Responds To Accusations That He Banned Black Women From VIP Section

It’s one controversy after the next for Chris Brown. The famed R&B singer faced scrutiny last week after Chloe Bailey announced their upcoming collab. However, in the wake of Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance, fans quickly brought up his assault conviction. Breezy lashed out at his naysayers, including Kiely Williams, for constantly bringing up his abuse allegations. Breezy went on a day-long tirade on Instagram. The chatter eventually died down online but he faced even more controversy just days later.

Chris Brown has a history of allegations surrounding his apparent treatment of women in the club. However, during his recent visit to the UK, he became tangled in accusations that Black women were banned from his section of a nightclub. A woman hopped on TikTok where she stated that only white women were permitted to enter the VIP section of the club. We were supposed to go see Chris Brown,” one woman said in the video. “We got there and there were thousands of girls lined up. Also, they claimed to be on the VIP guest list.” Her friend chimed in, “They told us ‘No Black girls allowed.”

Chris Brown Denies Banning Black Women From His Section

Though the women didn’t necessarily accuse Chris Brown of personally banning Black women, he continued to face backlash on social media. However, Breezy didn’t hesitate to clear his name following the headlines. “Stop it,” he wrote with a screenshot of himself in the club, surrounded by Black women. “I have black queens all around me. THOP Reaching.” At the same time, several of his fans also pulled up footage that debunked the claims made in the video.

Eventually, the woman behind the first video hopped on social media to clear the air. She said that her video had nothing to do with Chris Brown but rather, the promoters, who she said personally invited her to the club. “The only reason why his name was mentioned was that we were going to a club that he was hosting at,” she said. Breezy later shared the video to Twitter, writing, “CRAZY that I have to have receipts. LOVE OUTWEIGHS THE HATE OVER HERE!”

Willie McGinest Speaks

Per McGinest:

“First and foremost, I want to offer my deepest apology for my lapse in judgment and behavior on December 9 at a restaurant in West Hollywood. To my family, community, friends, and youth I mentor, please know I feel horrible for my actions and take full responsibility.

[…]

Most of all, I am disappointed in myself, as I know this is an isolated incident and is not reflective of my faith, role as a father, life’s body of work, or the role model I’ve worked hard to become. It is personally devastating that decades of community service, youth engagement, mentoring, and professional development would become an afterthought in a single moment that should have never happened.”

McGinest’s former teammate Tom Brady actually reacted to the post with a heart emoji. Overall, many in the comments section reiterated the fact that McGinest is a good person. For them, this was just a bad moment that shouldn’t define him.
