A judge is ordering Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty and his sexual assault accuser Jennifer Hough to settle their lawsuit. Hough sued Petty last year for infliction of emotional distress, harassment and witness intimidation. But according to court docs obtained by AllHipHop.com, Judge James R. Cho referred the case to mediation.
“Parties to select a mediator by 12/20/2022 and complete mediation by 3/6/2023,” documents show. “[They] may participate in the mediation remotely. [Both sides] shall file a joint status report two weeks after completing the mediation, but no later than 3/20/2023, whichever date is earlier.”
Hough also sued Kenneth’s wife Nicki Minaj, claiming the “Super Freaky Girl” rapper took part in the harassment campaign. She says the couple harassed and threatened her to make her recant her rape allegations against Petty. Ultimately, Hough dropped her claims against Minaj. But her allegations against Kenneth still stands.
Last year, Kenneth pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. In July, a judge sentenced him to one year of home confinement and three years of probation. Petty is also pursuing legal action against the State of New York over his sex offender status. He wishes to get his name removed from New York’s sex offender registry. The 44-year old claims that he was never was able to challenge his sex offender status. However, the courts weren’t here for Kenny’s claims.
“Plaintiff’s claims are meritless, ” court docs show. “And the SORA hearing transcript demonstrates that Plaintiff is fourteen years late in pursuing this lawsuit. The statute of limitations has run. Plaintiff’s claims should be dismissed.”
Oral arguments in Jennifer Hough’s case against Petty begin on January 6, 2023.

Azealia Banks is back in the news making claims about Nicki Minaj’s finances. Banks says that Minaj is attempting to mess up one of her business deals, and that she is “broke” and allegedly pays blogs to make other rappers’ lives difficult.
On Friday, Azalea posted several Instagram Stories where she alleged that the 39-year-old rapper had paid the two bartenders that had sued Cardi B and she also accused her of paying Tasha K to go after Cardi while claiming that she was broke and owed many people.
“Imagine how pissed off @nickiminaj is to have paid 100k+ for them girls lawyers, put them in a video with weirdo tekashi for them to only get $5,000 a pop. Nicki wanted cardi to get hit with a felony and have her passport relinquished so she could no longer travel outside of the country. Imagine the salt on her rim when she pays Tasha k to lie and cardi wins a 4m reward in court. Imagine owing Rushka Bergman money for styling you. Imagine getting told no by @monotofficial then going out to purchase it,” Azalea said.
Azealia Banks also alleged that Nicki Minaj put her hairdresser, presumably Arrogant Tae, on retainer but then asked him to work for free.
“Imagine being so jealous that you put your hairdresser on retainer, telling him he can no longer work with longtime friends, only to turn around and ask him to work for free because ur money is f**ked up an all the barbs and blogs you pay to try and make female rappers lives difficult,” she said.
“Nicki Minaj is Broke like, Broke Broke. Scamming production companies for private jets and rented houses kind of broke,” Banks alleged.
Banks also claimed that Minaj was turned down for other business ventures which allegedly refused to work for her.
“Gossip blogs and this extremely unentertaining Chickenhead media personality doesn’t work. It’s horrible acting sis. Stop yelling into your phone like you have no sense…Queen radio dropped from Apple, you got rejected by Netflix and HBO Max…then tried to give @bronstudios an ultimatum about working with me when chances are they’re probably not even going to release your documentary after how nasty you were to them and how disgusting they all think you are,” Banks wrote.
Azealia Banks also continued with her telling the rapper to go to rehab and claimed that she insinuated that the rapper was addicted to opioids. “you can’t travel to certain countries with those substances. And we don’t wanna see you have a seizure trying to quit opioids without medical assistance.”
Akbar V. is not letting up on Cardi B. Days after their Twitter war, the Atlanta rapper still has some things to get off her chest. Earlier this week, she shared a snippet of an alleged diss track about the Bronx rapper, stating “It be the ones that don’t know what’s going on that have so much to say. I can really end b**** with like two lines. New music getting ready to drop.”
The track, which spans one-minute and 46 seconds, entitled “Bothered,” comes just days after the two femcees traded insults on social media; dragging each other about everything from record sales to motherhood. As Cardi continues to celebrate the success of her chart topping collaboration “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla, Akbar unleashes her wrath on the Grammy nominated star, rapping, “She still ugly.”
Last month, the 33-year old rapper joined Nicki Minaj on her controversial track “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix).” Since the success of the record, Akbar has been finding her footing in hip hop game, by any means necessary. Share your thoughts on the new track below.
Quotable Lyrics
I’m pretty in real life, this face don’t need no fillers Keep it a band, keep it a buck, b**** you don’t really know no hitters Why you bothered? Why you bothered? Calling my phone b****, how you get my number?
Akbar V. has more to get off her chest after a Twitter war with Cardi B and Offset earlier this week. On Monday, the Atlanta rapper and the Bronx star traded insults on social media, slamming each other over everything from record sales to parenting skills. The viral battle of words got even more intense when Cardi’s husband, Offset, chimed in to defend himself as well as his wife.
Wrapping up the Twitter exchange, the “WAP” rapper took to Instagram that same night to share a risqué photo of her and Offset cuddled up in their mansion, with the caption, “I fight for my b***hes and I’m fighter over d*** too.” While many thought the caption was a dig at Akbar, the 33-year old Atlanta native, who was featured on Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Freaky Girl,” Remix, couldn’t clap back, as her Twitter account was suspended a day after beefing with Cardi.
But that didn’t stop Akbar from reigniting her beef with the mom of two. On Wednesday (September 29), she shared a snippet of an alleged diss track against Cardi, in which she rapped, “It’s crack, and I smoke b***** like Pookie.” Shortly after, she took to Instagram Live to address the alleged diss track, saying, “It’s up and it’s stuck. Ain’t nothing coming down.”
But the subliminal didn’t end there. Akbar added, “It be the ones that don’t know what’s going on that have so much to say. I can really end b**** with like two lines. New music getting ready to drop.” The untitled diss track comes just days after Cardi prophesied on Twitter, “Let’s guess the next step… a diss track that’s going to be mass bought on iTunes and going to chart on twitter.”
Be on the lookout for Akbar V.’s upcoming track, slated to drop on Friday. Share your thoughts below.
There’s a good chance that the ongoing drama between Akbar V and Cardi B will never end. The beef intensified on Wednesday when Akbar V teased a snippet of what sounds like a diss track on Twitter. It’s a new account — as her last one was suspended — and was verified through her Instagram account.
It’s crack and i smoke bitches like Pookey/ the drum hood 60 in this Glock 40 and that’s word to Tookey pic.twitter.com/xLKUMau0hD
The replies are, of course, mixed and aggressive, whether at Akbar herself or with each other. Some are calling it a flop; others are excited for the tea to get even hotter. You know how it is.
If you’re new here, here’s a recap of how it started: Akbar V is, like Cardi B, a rapper with an origin rooted in the Love & Hip-Hop universe. Hailing from Atlanta, this 33-year-old rapper has had a rough childhood but has been using the exposure from the show to slowly build an audience for her music, partly in order to turn her life around. Over the weekend, Cardi received a ton of attention for featuring on buzzing Memphis rapper GloRilla’s new song “Tomorrow 2.” Akbar V tweeted, “If @chartdata ain’t say it we ain’t believing the CAP,” referring to the song’s hype and the popular account that aggregates album song performance listings from DSPs and Billboard‘s charts.
It only got worse from there: “Count all the times chart data posted u,” Cardi wrote. “I don’t really like the internet games… My dms is open and also the streets!” After lots of Twitter fights, it reached a new level when Cardi shared a video from Akbar’s leaked sex tape. And now here we are.
