Cardi B Claps Back At Nicki Minaj On Twitter Amid Beef Rumors

Cardi B has had a busy few weeks in the public eye. The height of the drama came when fans discovered that she and husband Offset unfollowed each other on Instagram. When she took to Instagram Live to explain things fans were shocked to hear her describe herself as “single.” But after she took the chance to explain herself, an old foe used it as an opportunity to take some subtle shots at her on Twitter.

Nicki Minaj didn’t directly call out Cardi, but most fans of both artists got the point. Nicki shared a meme to Twitter that seemed pretty clearly aimed at Nicki Minaj and joked about her ongoing drama. Unsurprisingly, Cardi didn’t take that lying down and clapped back with a response shortly after. In a hilarious tweet she took aim at Nicki’s man saying “take your man to the park and leave me the f*ck alone,” her post reads. That sent fans of both artists into a frenzy as they flirt with elevating to a full-blown beef. Check out the most recent shots fired by Cardi below.

Cardi B Escalating Nicki Minaj Beef

Cardi followed it up with a second tweet that read “I’m really 100… today is not the day.” In the comments of an Instagram post recapping the beef fans are already taking sides. “Listen, a cheating husband can be outgrown. You’ll never outgrow a man convicted of rape and your address being on the registry. Make the music and move along boo,” one comment says in Cardi’s favor. “A pedo is no comparison to cheating. Sit this one out sis,” another agrees.

A new report in the wake of the relationship drama between Cardi and Offset claimed that problems went back months. It said they had been “on and off” for a long time making public appearances together while being quietly separate. What do you think of the newest developments in an alleged beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kanye West Lashed Out At Nicki Minaj During His ‘Vultures’ Rant For Not Clearing A Critical Verse

As of this writing, Kanye West’s new album Vultures has yet to hit the streamers, and fans are convinced it’s because he has to remove the song “New Body” from the tracklist after featured artist Nicki Minaj refused to clear her verse at the last minute. The song has a long and controversial history, and fans were excited about finally hearing it, but after Nicki lived up to her last name (Mrs. Petty), Kanye didn’t hesitate to call her out at the album listening, which had degenerated into an extended rant.

“I made that girl rewrite her verse three times for ‘Monster,’” he said. “I supported her career. So I don’t know what it is.” Not to speculate, but it might have something to do with making someone write a verse four times for an album you eventually scrapped, along with every version of that song. She previously said, “The ship has sailed on ‘New Body,’” and it looks like she very much meant it.

Nicki wasn’t the only one he excoriated in his long, freewheeling speech. He also dragged Adidas for dropping him after spouting antisemitic conspiracy theories, Jay-Z for distancing himself from Kanye in the wake of his support for Donald Trump (who also distanced himself from Kanye), and everyone in the room with him for being “fake” — which was hilariously fitting, as they were there to listen to an album called Vultures. We’ll see if Nicki chooses to respond but for once, it seems like she’s busier actually promoting her own album, Pink Friday 2 — and airing her own grievances. Happy Festivus, everybody!

Nicki Minaj Thirst Trap Won’t Distract Barbz Begging For “New Body” Clearance

Even a week after its arrival, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 still has the internet talking. Following the initial project’s debut on December 8th, she came through with a handful of other songs, including a 50 Cent remix, and collaborations with Monica and Keyshia Cole. As she continues to head toward a No. 1 debut it seems Minaj is taking great pleasure in denying Kanye West a similar feat with his Vultures LP. The Chicago native was hoping to share his and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint project today (December 15), but they’re unfortunately running into some issues with sample clearance.

First, Ye teased a track featuring a classic interpolation from the Backstreet Boys. The internet was surprised by how much they loved the preview, but now, it’s causing a holdup as the 46-year-old failed to ask the group’s permission. Elsewhere, he and Ty Dolla are finally ready to unleash the long-awaited “New Body,” which also features Minaj. However, much to their disappointment, she has no intention of giving West permission to use her iconic verse. Instead, she’s attempting to distract her fanbase with a new thirst trap video that doesn’t seem to be doing the trick.

One person pleaded with the Queen of Rap, “Nicki clear the verse, it’s literally one of your best.” “Everyone begging for ‘New Body’ y’all should’ve begged Kanye 3 YEARS AGO when Nicki herself was asking him to release it,” one loyal fan came to Minaj’s defence in her comments. “Kanye made Nicki [shoot] the whole music video just to scrap & leak it. Now y’all making [it] look like Nicki is being disrespectful? The math ain’t mathing.”

Besides everything currently unfolding with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj is also in the middle of a social media spat with Cardi B. Though neither woman is taking direct shots at the other, we are seeing plenty of shady Twitter fingers liking posts comparing Billboard‘s treatment of “WAP” to Pink Friday 2. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Kanye West On Nicki Minaj Refusing To Clear “New Body”: “I Supported Her Career”

“New Body” is one of the most beloved Yandhi-era leaks from Kanye West, both for its hypnotic beat and its topical focus… for better or worse. In addition, it also features a great verse from Nicki Minaj, which only made it all the more disappointing when the track appeared to stay in limbo. However, hype emerged once again when Ye and Ty Dolla $ign announced that the track would be on their upcoming collab album Vultures. In fact, they even played it at their Miami “rave” listening event, with Queen Barb’s verse and all. As such, it seemed like we would finally get this song officially in our hands.

But alas, when Friday, December 15th rolled around with no Vultures in sight, and Kanye West posted a screenshot of him asking Nicki Minaj to clear “New Body,” we went back to a disappointed state. Later, she addressed his request during an Instagram Live sessions, saying that “that train has left the station.” In other words, the 41-year-old expressed qualms about releasing a song that’s over three years old at this point. While that’s certainly a valid argument from an artistic standpoint, a lot of fans still expressed sadness that the track is once again in jeopardy.

Kanye West Responds To Nicki Minaj: Watch

What’s more is that Kanye West responded to Nicki Minaj’s comments during his absurdly combative rant against Jay-Z, Drake, and so many more. This was at his Las Vegas listening party for Vultures. While addressing her refusal to clear the sample, the Chicago artist claimed that he made her rewrite her iconic verse on “Monster” three times. “I supported her career,” he said of the “Last Time I Saw You” hitmaker. Most importantly, the 46-year-old seemed to hammer on the point that they’re still going to fight to put “New Body” out one way or another.

Meanwhile, that listening event was somehow more chaotic than the first, and we’re sure the ride’s far from over. Maybe these exchanges will continue, too, and we’ll either get a compromise, an apology, a reconciliation, or an even stronger divide. When it comes to these two artists, has guessing ever been a consistent game to play? For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, stay logged into HNHH.

Lil Nas X Remixes Nicki Minaj’s “FTCU”: Listen

Pink Friday 2 is here, and there are a lot of artists that are feeling more like Barbz these days as a result. Moreover, many fellow rappers and musicians in other genres came forward to show their love to Nicki Minaj’s latest album. The most recent addition in that vein actually came in the form of a new remix. Furthermore, Lil Nas X recently took to social media, particularly Instagram, to share his remix of the track “FTCU,” which includes a brag-heavy, boisterous, and bombastic new verse from him. He comes off with a lot of charisma and with some funny bars and references, whether it’s proclaiming his Nicki standom or pulling together some punchlines with Doja Cat song titles.

Not only that, but this is very interesting given the Georgia artist’s recent switch-up into his self-proclaimed “Christian era.” As is unfortunately usual for him, he faced a lot of backlash as a result, but also some surprising support from a leader in the Christian rap space, Lecrae. Hopefully this means that Lil Nas X wasn’t deterred from expressing himself in whatever way he saw fit. Who knows, maybe other future remixes of his will also take on this religious slant.

“FTCU” Remix By Lil Nas X: Listen

What we wouldn’t bet on, though, is for the MONTERO superstar to cook up more remixes of the Trinidadian MC. For those unaware, Lil Nas X and Nicki Minaj have a complicated relationship, although they’ve never been too close to one another to begin with. Rather, their bond stems from his aforementioned love of her and her music, which became a hot topic in the headlines at one point. Following some apparently rejected collabs and some fanbase clashing, we’d remain pretty skeptical of the idea that they could eventually come together.

However, we’d love to be proven wrong, as they are too talented of a duo to pass up on. It’s nowhere near the level of cold war that the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” hitmaker has with Cardi B, but it’s still a touchy subject. Do you think that Nas Maraj will eventually get to work with his Queen? Let us know down in the comments section below. In addition, keep checking in with HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Lil Nas X and Nicki Minaj.

Nicki Minaj Claimed ‘Pink Friday 2’ Sales Were Removed By ‘Billboard’ And Here’s Why That May Have Happened

Nicki Minaj released her latest album, Pink Friday 2, last Friday (December 8), and it has a good chance at debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart; The most noteworthy album that also released on the same day would be Tate McRae’s Think Later. It appears Minaj’s album may not end up with as many first-week sales as the rapper was counting on, though.

As Stereogum notes, in a now deleted post, Minaj announced a contest for her fans, writing, “Show the PROOF of your 4 vinyls OR 4 DIGITAL DOWNLOADS (each cover) & you can win what he just did. A Change to help me pick the next 3 songs for the #GagCity2 edition that comes out in 5 days. In person ;).”

Then, in also-deleted tweets shared yesterday, December 14, Minaj claimed that Billboard was removing 100,000 sales from the tracking week for Pink Friday 2 due to the contest. She wrote, “been discussing my 100 barbz contest for months. they said billboard reached out to say they gon take away sales for me telling y’all about the 100 barbz thing. Can’t wait until these next 6 hours are up so I can tell y’all some sh*t. You can give out millions in cashapp money tho. Lol. So barbz, me asking you to show PROOF of something that was already DELIVERED OR PURCHASED IS AGAINST THE RULES. SO pls disregard. Apologies.”

She added in another tweet:

“They so mad

They said 170-190 knowing it was 200k alrdy.

Then they said 199 just so that 2 wouldn’t leave they moof chi

It’s at 300 but once they filter out 100K, you’ll be none the fking wiser.

I’m being punished for:

Not signing a 360

Making great music

Having great fans

And for not leaving the game so that their new Nicki’s (who signed 360 deals) can be propped up to look as tho they are a lot more successful than they rlly are.

Having too much power

#PinkFriday2.”

On a related note, Billboard reported this past May:

“Limited combinations of merchandise and physical albums will be counted on Billboard‘s album charts starting this summer, but with new rules to prevent the issues that led to the elimination of such ‘bundles’ three years ago.

The new combinations of merch and albums, dubbed ‘fan packs,’ will allow fans to support their favorite artists on the charts in a way that research suggests that many would like to. However, the packs will be restricted to just two options per album release — a sweatshirt with an LP and a t-shirt with a CD, for example — with the requirement that each individual item must also be sold separately in the same web store. Fan packs will include only merch — not tickets, meet-and-greet opportunities, virtual items or non-tangible benefits — and they must also contain a physical copy of an album: Combinations of digital downloads and merch will not count towards the charts. In addition, fan pack offerings must be approved in advance of their on-sale date by Luminate and Billboard. […]

The new rules allowing fan packs will take effect during the tracking week that runs from June 30 to July 6, 2023, for charts dated July 15.”

What’s The Meaning Behind Doja Cat’s ‘F*ck The Girls?’

According to Doja Cat, she lives for all of the public’s attention, whether good or bad. On her album Scarlet, she used several verses across tracks like “Agora Hills,” “97,” and “F*ck The Girls” to address some of the online chatter. While it was clear for most of her bars who she was aiming at, “F*ck The Girls” was intentionally vague.

What’s The Meaning Behind Doja Cat’s “F*ck The Girls?”

Yesterday (December 14), during a sit-down with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, the rapper revealed that despite rumors that the track was a subtle shot at frenemy Nicki Minaj or any other musician, it was actually about stan culture (an ongoing feud for her).

“It’s me saying f*ck Stan Twitter,” she said. “There’s that obsessiveness behind it, all the malice towards women in stan culture. The condescending-ness of people being like, ‘Mother, oh my god, queen, mother,’ and expecting them to give and deliver and serve for the purpose of serving and not just expressing themselves. And in the same breath, they’ll insult that person as well as call them ‘mother.’ None of that sh*t is real, that’s where ‘F*ck The Girls’ comes from.”

Here’s Doja Cat’s spicy second verse for “F*ck The Girls.”

“Said suck my d*ck, clit, tits, I’m yellin’ “666” / I can’t believe how bold you think the line’s that thin / I’m gettin’ rich-rich-rich, how many lick-lick-licks / Is it gon’ take to feel the barrel of my / Now what the heck, darn, frick? Y’all want attention / Since when was y’all my bastard children? Go ‘head and raise y’all self / Come get ya badass kids, no need to mention / I been sittin’ on that thought for a minute, now I got time for a min / I’m never poppin’ no sh*t, I focus most on my craft / I stay on top of my sh*t, but y’all done got me convinced / That I’m the popularist, that’s why you watchin’ my moves / So check the time on ya wrist, that’s why my mama said.”

“WAP” Wars: Cardi B & Nicki Minaj’s Feud Continues

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 debut has been mostly full of celebration and excitement for the mother of one. It was previously reported that she’s due to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart, though the outlet is now allegedly dismissing some album sales after she violated a rule about asking fans to show proof of purchasing her music. As AllHipHop reports, Minaj wrote, “You can give out millions on CashApp tho,” also liking a tweet taking aim at Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP.”

When the Hustlers actress heard this news, it wasn’t long before she began reacting to telling tweets too. “The CashApp partnership for WAP was during the end of the second week,” one of them read. “It was already No. 1 and it required NO proof of purchase and didn’t even require you to be a Cardi fan.” When blogs began reporting on the drama earlier this week, the New York native didn’t hold back when jumping in the comments to set the record straight.

Nicki Minaj Disses Elliott Wilson For Kai Cenat Criticism, 50 Cent Chimes In

Nicki Minaj’s recent press run for the post-release hype behind Pink Friday 2 proved to be more contentious than some fans might’ve anticipated. A lot of that has to do with her recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream, which had a lot of fans happy… and some not so much. For example, Elliott Wilson screenshot a picture of Kai and his friends hyping the Trinidadian superstar up as she twerked and posted it on Twitter, captioning it “hip-hop journalism.” Clearly, she didn’t appreciate the dismissive and disdainful shot at her fellow New Yorker from a fellow New Yorker. Queen Barb took to the social media platform to call Wilson out and stick up for a new generation of media consumers.

“Elliot if you’d spit JayZ dikk out for one second, you’d be able to be happy for the new comers,” Nicki Minaj clapped back at the legendary music journalist. “Isn’t that how y’all tried to tarnish my image? By saying I’m not welcoming new btchs in? Did songs with all of them tho. Why you not happy for a young black man like Kai. Tmrw btch.”

Nicki Minaj Claps Back At Elliott Wilson

Then, Elliott Wilson actually retweeted this message, as he seemed to take it pretty lightly at the end of the day. “Never dissed Nicki,” he wrote. “Always said she’s the female rap GOAT. Over Lauryn, Missy, Kim and Foxy and all. I think Cardi B is dope too. Happy Holidays.” In addition, 50 Cent also reacted to Nicki Minaj’s comments, defending his latest collaborator‘s comedic skills. “Look how @nickiminaj be blacking out on these [ninja emoji]’s. this s**t be having me crying LMAO,” the G-Unit mogul expressed on Instagram.

50 Cent Is In Tears

Meanwhile, this is by no means the 41-year-old’s only conflictive run-in with a media figure as of late. She also called out DJ Envy for his alleged real estate fraud and scam, which was one of the oddest but also most talked-about stories within hip-hop this year. Do you think that there’s going to be more conflict between the Barbz and rap media in the coming weeks? Let us know your predictions down in the comments section below. Did Nicki Minaj Clear Her Verse For Kanye West’s ‘New Body?’

Let Me Calm Down” rapper Nicki Minaj is having a ball with her Barb fans in Gag City. With the release of her long-awaited album, Pink Friday 2, and the supporting world tour slated to launch soon, she’s been swamped with press obligations. Nicki even recounted with streamer Kai Cenat for a broadcast party where she and the crew jammed out to her new songs.

Whether out of pure coincidence or planned timing, Kanye West is looking to tap into the hype surrounding Nicki by releasing their past collaboration “New Body” on his Vultures album with Ty Dolla Sign.

Did Nicki Minaj Clear Her Verse For Kanye West’s ‘New Body?’

Based on her latest livestream, the answer appears to be no.

In a screenshot captured and shared by West, he reached out to Nicki via text message with his request but did not receive a response. So, he took to social media to tag the rapper, hoping fans would speed up the process.

However, when followers asked Nicki about clearing the record during a broadcast, she expressed no interest in doing so. She said, “Child, that train has left the station, OK? No disrespect in any way. I just put out a brand new album. Now why would I put out a song that has been out for three years? Come on, guys. You know?”

According to rumors, that’s not the only uncleared contribution on West’s forthcoming album. The Backstreet Boys also reportedly did not give authorization to West on the record in which he sampled their 1997 song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”
