Marcus Jordan Shades Larsa Pippen With Cruel IG Comment

Marcus Jordan threw some shade at his ex, Larsa Pippen, when a fan asked where she’s been on Instagram. “Back where she belongs,” he replied with an emoji of a street. The comment came on a post featuring several recent pictures of himself and his friends. In the caption, he wrote: “All these years throwin’ success in your face. All of these baddies obsessed w/ my face. All the sh*t they don’t address in my faaace. I can’t be showin’ no stress on my face.”

When Hollywood Unlocked shared the response on Instagram, fans brought up the alleged picture of Jordan appearing to snort a white substance while vacationing in the south of France, earlier this summer. “And you was loving those streets and kissing her in the mouth. You wanted to marry her. Let’s talk about the coke and watermelons. Let’s address that,” one user wrote. Another added: “Idk, we saw you snorting cocaine up your nose so Larsa probably dogged the bigger bullet.”

Pippen previously confirmed that she and Jordan split during an interview with ET in July. “I think it’s off, I mean, it’s off, it is off. I feel like I’m good. I’m good,” she said at the time. “I am spending this summer just focusing on my kids and my friends and family. I just have to, like, enjoy it and figure out what Larsa wants.” Prior to dating Jordan, she was married to his father’s former NBA teammate, Scottie Pippen. They finalized their divorce in 2021.

Playboi Carti Fan Allegedly Breaks Into The Rapper’s Hotel Room In Brazil

A fan of Playboi Carti allegedly broke into his hotel room in Brazil and filmed the inside. The video of what appears to be the rapper’s hotel room and screenshots of the person who seemingly broke in admitting to doing so are circulating online. “As I’m Brazilian, I’m going to try to get into the hotel pretending to be a guest. LOL,” the person wrote in one DM.

As the post went viral on social media, users criticized the fan’s antics. One person on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “Wow, telling people that a large artist has no security at his hotel is definitely a good idea!” Another added: “Sum n****s actually have mental problems like why tf would you think of doin sum sh*t like this.” Others joked about the incident causing further delays to his upcoming album.

During his acceptance speech, he notably gave a shoutout to the late Rich Homie Quan, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 33. “I want to thank my mama, I want to thank God,” he said during the event. “Thank you, Billboard. This my first award. I’m very happy to be here. R.I.P. Rich Homie Quan. ATL in the building. Shout-out to the whole New York. I love y’all. Thank you.”

Ice Spice Critic Slams Her For “Boring” Miami Show

While being famous surely comes with its perks, it also comes with quite a few downsides, including constant criticism. This is nothing new to Ice Spice, who rose to fame with hits like “Munch” and just unveiled her debut studio album, Y2K! The album arrived after plenty of teasing, but sadly, many felt as though it left a lot to be desired.

Ever since, it appears as though the artist has had a target on her back, which has only been exacerbated by her current feuds. Earlier this week, for example, the “Deli” rapper performed at a club in Miami. One attendee was less than impressed with her energy onstage and took to TikTok to put her on blast.

Ice Spice Performs At Miami Club

“POV: Ice Spice is boring as sh*t,” the fan wrote. “Look at the crowd.” While some commenters in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section agree with the TikTok user, others are coming to the hitmaker’s defense. Many point out that the stage she was performing on was extremely small, and she was likely trying to avoid falling. Others claim that this kind of performance is not out of the ordinary for Ice Spice, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

With all of that being said, some theories are floating around as to why Ice Spice has been receiving so much hate lately. Fivio Foreign weighed in on Twitter/X earlier this week, for example, claiming that there’s a simple explanation. “B***hes hate Spice cuz n***as love spice,” he wrote. What do you think of a fan calling out Ice Spice for her recent club appearance in Miami? Do you agree that her energy wasn’t there, or was the fan being too harsh? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

USHER Gives Big Sean His Blessing To Sample His Work In Wholesome Resurfaced Clip

Did you expect Big Sean to be sampling an USHER song at any point? To be honest, we didn’t. But he did just that on his new album, Better Me Than You. It occurs on the album’s attempt at a catchy hit with “Who You Are (Superstar)”, which is track five. It’s not such an obvious sample, but when you play the songs back-to-back, you can hear it a little more clearly. That USHER track we are referring to is “Superstar” off of one of the singer’s most successful records to date, Confessions.

However, instead of just getting clearance through other means, Sean decided to go right to the source to get his blessing. The Neighborhood Watch reshared the clip of USHER and the Detroit MC vibing to the demo from the latter’s IG account that centers around his website. With there currently being a lot of bitterness between artists in the industry, it’s nice to see two respective stars giving each other love like this. USHER was all in for Sean’s sample flip, as you can see in the video below.

Sean gave some extra context to the post, revealing that “Who You Are (Superstar)” had been in the works for a little bit. “This was like a year ago when the song was just the demo. I had to make sure it was appropriate to sample such a classic 🔥”, he said. Hopefully with this now out there, maybe we could get a collaboration between them?

What are your thoughts on USHER giving Big Sean approval to sample his work for the latter’s Better Me Than You? Were you aware that Sean utilized a song from the R&B legend? Is it crazy to think that USHER is that far into his career where others are sampling his music? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Big Sean and USHER. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Brian McKnight Slammed For Celebrating His Stepson With Moving Tribute As Biological Son Battles Cancer

Brian McKnight is facing backlash on social media for a pair of posts on his Instagram page from Friday. In one, he paid tribute to his stepson in honor of his birthday while in another, he discussed parenting for a new series he described as “Fatherhood Fridays.” In the episode, he didn’t mention his biological son, Niko, who is currently battling cancer.

“Trolling your biological children is childish especially at a time like this. You’re doing all that for an audience forgetting that GOD is the one truly watching,” one user commented on the birthday tribute. In response to the “Fatherhood Friday” video, one fan posted: “What about your other biological children. Are you not proud of them? Where are they in this?” Others did come to his defense. “Keep your head up B! Don’t listen to the haters!” one user wrote under the birthday tribute. “Your talent will always stand above the rest.” One more added: “He probably get more love from him then he do from his real son so that’s who he acknowledges. And I get it. Period. Celebrate those who celebrate you.”

McKnight previously denied the accusations of being a deadbeat father, instead suggesting that he and his current wife, Leilani, “jumped into action” when they learned of Niko’s battle with cancer. Speaking about the situation during an Instagram Q&A in April, the singer put the blame on his ex-wife, Julie. He argued she told him to stay away, to which she labeled him a “liar” in a statement to Page Six.

In the “Fatherhood Friday” video, McKnight also called out someone by the name of Rick. “I wanted to have a guest today, but as you can see, I’m here by myself so I guess he wasn’t man enough to have a conversation about fatherhood,” he said. He may have been referring to Rickey Smiley, who previously criticized his relationship with his kids. Check out the two posts below. Soulja Boy Puts Blueface On Blast During Rant About “Broke” Haters

Soulja Boy and Blueface have a history of not getting along, and despite the latter’s ongoing legal issues, their feud doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Earlier this week, Blueface went viral after he was transferred to a different facility to serve his four-year prison sentence. A new mugshot was taken upon arrival, which quickly began to make its rounds online. Fans pointed out a pretty drastic physical transformation, which is to be expected considering the circumstances.

During a recent Instagram Live, Soulja Boy compared his haters to Blueface, arguing that he’s still successful while they all fell off. “Y’all ni**as are on a rich ni**a’s live,” he began. “Y’all broke. Go get a f**kin’ life, why y’all watching me?

Soulja Boy Calls Out Blueface

“Why you in my life right now? You ain’t got nothing better to do?” he also asked. “Go get a f**kin’ life man… Y’all ni**as gon’ end up broke and in jail just like Blueface, b**ch a*s ni**as. Y’all think life a game. Life is jokes and life is sweet.” It remains unclear exactly why Blueface was the first person to come to Soulja Boy’s mind during his rant. The “Thotiana” rapper has yet to respond.

While Blueface’s legal issues persist, the same can’t be said for the mother of his son, Chrisean Rock. She was released from prison after roughly three months behind bars earlier this week. Almost immediately, she took to social media to share a lengthy message about her return, and about reuniting with her child Chrisean Jr. According to her, she’ll be focusing on him moving forward, as well as some exciting new projects she has in the works. What do you think of Soulja Boy calling out Blueface during his recent rant on Instagram Live? Are you surprised or not? Do you think he’ll ever get a response? ASAP Rocky & LL COOL J Skate On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

Autumn is upon us, and with it falls a slew of hot new hip-hop releases to go through. For that, we’ve got our latest Fire Emoji playlist update ready, rounding up the best of the best rap of the week. Starting us off is a new album that perhaps you might not want to call a comeback, but it certainly feels like that more than ever before. LL COOL J finally graced fans with his new LP THE FORCE, his first studio project in 11 years. It’s got a lot of Q-Tip-produced highlights, but we’d recommend you start by checking out “Murdergram Deux” featuring Eminem.

Also on Fire Emoji is the brand-new single from ASAP Rocky and J. Cole, The Alchemist-produced “Ruby Rosary.” This track builds around cold, somber, eerie, but nonetheless dreamy piano samples, intoxicating and entrancing flows and vocal effects, and a lot of despondent but determined affirmations from both MCs. It’s an amazing teaser ahead of Pretty Flacko’s Don’t Be Dumb later this year. It’s also got some supposed Drake disses here and there, but you already knew that and probably don’t care at this point.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Elsewhere, we also wanted to shout out this new star-studded collaborative team featured on the track “Can’t Hold Me Down.” Pharrell, Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Kyle Richh joined forces for the multi-media music division Doodles, which released this single as part of an EP for an animated special. Another welcome collaboration on Fire Emoji is the multi-lingual UK garage-inspired cut “Moi” from Central Cee and RAYE. Even though these combinations with drill might not sound fitting on paper, the atmosphere, tender melodies, and modular instrumentation here ends up fitting it all together successfully.

Meanwhile, Toosii and Gunna work together like bread and butter on “Champs Élysées,” a woozy and vibe-heavy trap cut. Finally, we’d be remiss not to mention Boldy James and Antt Beatz’s new single “Super Mario.” It puts the Detroit MC over his city’s traditional bounce – a rare combination these days for the Concreature. Let us know what your favorite Fire Emoj pick was this week, as well as what else we missed, down in the comments below. Check the playlist out above and, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest great rap drops around the clock.

Drake & Trippie Redd Meet Up With 1400cjay

When you think of unlikely but surprisingly welcome collaborations throughout the last decade, Drake and Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal” might stand out to you. Even though the two artists are pretty stylistically distinct for the most part, they linked up for a rage-inspired instrumental and held their own just fine. In fact, it was a bit of a preview for Drizzy’s For All The Dogs years later, and now we have another follow-up to this bond. The duo snapped a pic together alongside 1400cjay, which led a lot of fans to wonder whether or not they’re coming out with some new material together.

Of course, we all know the high praise that Trippie Redd has for Drake. He proclaimed “Back To Back” to be the greatest diss track of all time during an appearance on Complex‘s “GOAT Talk” series alongside Machine Gun Kelly. This emerged right around the time that the Toronto superstar and Kendrick Lamar were firing disses back and forth at each other, so maybe the conversation deserves a revisit. If you’re curious, MGK picked his own Eminem diss track “Rap Devil” as the GOAT diss song.

Drake, Trippie Redd & 1400cjay

Elsewhere, Trippie Redd has spoken on how Drake was an artistic inspiration for him. “My brother passed away when I was young, so that kind of gave me that drive to start wanting to make music,” he told The New York Times last year. “And I would sit at my grandma’s house and just rap on the stairs and be there for like two, three hours, just freestyling. We would have little things at school where we would have to write, so I would show my pen skills. I would make my school projects cool. Like, oh, I’m gonna write a letter to Drake. I literally did that too, I wrote a rap to Drake. I was in like seventh grade.”

Meanwhile, speaking of inspiration, Drake recently gave Lil Wayne his flowers for being his day one mentor. “We were so lucky to have the most supportive boss in the game always gassed us up,” he wrote over a repost of an old Young Money clip. As you can tell, this inspiration between artists is always a two-way street, and it always comes from something greater. One day, the next big rap artist will be talking about how much Trippie Redd inspired him to make it big.

The Weeknd Unveils Album Cover For “Hurry Up Tomorrow”

We are almost at the finish line, and as bittersweet as it is, it looks like The Weeknd will close out his trilogy – and moniker – with a bang. Moreover, he just unveiled the official album cover art for his new upcoming LP, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Much like its predecessors, After Hours and Dawn FM, it’s an image of the Canadian superstar’s face, but this one is much more “normal” and rudimentary compared to the blood-soaked and aged portraits of the aforementioned projects, respectively. As such, fans couldn’t be more excited to hear how these themes will wrap up with this third and final piece of the puzzle.

Furthermore, this adds to other Hurry Up Tomorrow details that The Weeknd shared with Billboard Brazil in their interview before his shows in the country this weekend. One of them is that he actually composed the “central song” of this new record in São Paulo. Abel Tesfaye also called something “Frankenstein,” and it’s a bit unclear if this is a nickname for the album as a whole or for this “central song” that the article mentions. Either way, this nickname indicates a fusion of a lot of different genres and sonic styles that still maintains a core and unmistakeable identity at its root.

The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow Cover Art

In addition, even though The Weeknd’s website doesn’t indicate a release date for this new album, we do have some hints as to when Hurry Up Tomorrow will come out. Well, we have one hint, to be honest. This is because of the physical pre-orders that he put up for this new LP, in addition to a pre-save option for digital streaming platforms. In the pre-order item description, it doesn’t indicate any release date. However, it does say that the physical copies will ship near the release date, which will apparently be no later than six months from today (Saturday, September 7). Hopefully he doesn’t take cues from his potential future collaborator Playboi Carti and actually drops the album.

Jokes aside, this rollout and piece-by-piece hype construction is very different to the Atlanta MC’s situation. Either way, we can’t wait to see what The Weeknd brings us next, especially with this artwork in mind. Will we get a more raw, simple, vulnerable, and definitive album building off of his mysterious, emotional, and trippy journey so far? Or can we not even fathom what’s in store right now? We can’t even tell which is the more exciting option.

Sexyy Red Honors Rich Homie Quan During Her Show

Sexyy Red was one of many artists shocked by the sudden death of Rich Homie Quan. News of this broke on Thursday (September 5), the same day she had a “Sexyy Red 4 President” tour stop in Lincoln, Nebraska alongside her tour mate Kodak Black. The St. Louis femcee paid tribute to the late Atlanta icon’s memory by briefly playing his classic 2013 cut “Type Of Way.” While these two rappers never collaborated, interacted much if at all, and probably might’ve never met each other, it’s still heartening albeit tragic to see that the younger generation of hip-hop artists knows how special RHQ is and how saddening this loss is.

One small reason as to why this tragedy struck so many folks so deeply is that we will never get to see the reconciliation between Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug that they had spoken about and that fans dreamed of. “We do have a lot of music that hasn’t been released,” Quan had said in an interview before passing away later down the line. “But who knows what the future holds? First and foremost, it’s free Thugger. It’s free anybody that’s locked up, it’s free Lucci. It’s a touchy situation, so I try not to talk about it a lot. But I don’t know what the future holds, man, you know what I’m saying? I’m willing to have a conversation, and it’ll start from there.”

Sexyy Red Pays Tribute To Rich Homie Quan

Another recent and perhaps unexpected tribute to Rich Homie Quan came from Big Sean. “We got a lot of good memories together, you know what I’m saying?” he told TMZ on Thursday. “We’ve been in the studio, Treehouse Studios, you know, ATL. We had some great sessions, me and Rich Homie. He was one of one. He was one of one, for sure. His style… He was just very special, a very good heart. It’s such a tragedy hearing about his loss today.”

Meanwhile, Rich Homie Quan’s music is unsurprisingly experiencing a big boost these days. There are a lot of debates on whether or not these reflections and tributes are legitimate. Some rappers and other colleagues out there think that some folks are spreading fake love. But regardless of where it comes from, there’s a well-deserved grieving process right now through which fans and loved ones are personally honoring his legacy, impact, and memory.
RIP Rich Homie Quan.
