Young Thug boldly thirsted over Mariah The Scientist in his latest Instagram post as caught by The Shade Room. “Send me a hard copy of this picture,” he wrote in the caption of a photo of her. “I’m tryna do sum right fast.” Mariah had shared the behind-the-scenes pictures of herself in a bikini from New York Fashion Week on her own page as well.

When The Shade Room reshared it on Instagram, users made plenty of jokes in the comments section. “Bro tryna beat it in the cell,” one fan remarked. Others brought up a woman named Daisy recently making headlines for sharing her support for Thug on social media. One fan wrote: “Sorry to the other young lady that attempted to advance herself but this is his number one ma’am.”

The two have been linked since prior to Thug’s arrest as part of the YSL RICO trial. During an interview back in 2023, Mariah affirmed that nothing can stop her from supporting Thug. “I feel like, and this is in all honesty, there is nobody on planet Earth that can get between me and supporting my man,” she stated at the time. “I’m sorry, it’s just not gonna happen. They have a lot to say, but I’m sorry to hear that you don’t understand what I got going on. Maybe one day you will, but the odds are you won’t. I don’t feel the need to explain and express to somebody the love I have for somebody else… It’s not gonna change what I have going on, what people have to say.”

Her smart-chic look was a nod to the back-to-school season, incorporating editorial magazine covers as a creative accessory—a tribute to a fashion student picking up the latest editorials around town.

The next day, September 8th, Lola Brooke kept the momentum going at MTV’s ‘VMAs’ Block Party at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Rihanna ruffled some feathers online when she seemed to ignore Naomi Campbell at New York Fashion Week recently, but it wasn’t all doom and gloom. Moreover, she went to Daily Front Row’s NYFW Fashion Media Awards to present the Magazine of the Year award to her good friend and Fenty Beauty’s creative director, Jahleel Weaver (as well as his partner Katie Grand, who works with him on Perfect Mag). RiRi donned a $20,000 pink coat over a sheer dress and, with a glass in her hand, gave a speech in Weaver’s honor. “I got called for this less than 36 hours ago,” she remarked. “I wrote this speech in the car because it’s my friend, and I have to show up for my friend.”

Elsewhere, Rihanna is making a lot of other big moves in the worlds of fashion, style, and related endeavors. For example, she recently starred in her first Dior perfume ad, expanding her wealth of product partnerships and potential business opportunities. The Barbadian superstar may not have R9 ready for fans yet, but it’s clear that she built an empire that’s almost larger than her current musical legacy. That’s a tough conversation, though, and it’s obvious that she not only treasures her art very deeply, but that it’s the origin of all her success and creativity.

But more than all that, Rihanna is happiest to be part of a beautiful family with A$AP Rocky and their children. “It’s crazy how we find balance with our chaotic schedules,” the Harlem rapper recently expressed concerning their companionship. “[The relationship] is going great. I don’t think there’s a more perfect person because when the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together. It’s all understanding and compatibility.”

In other Rihanna news, rumors are already starting about the new album and world tour arriving in 2025. Sadly, this is just what happened last year with the Super Bowl halftime show, and the year before that, and the year before that… But we’ll be patient. After all, with so much under her belt, we imagine that she only wants and needs to drop music when she really feels like it’s special.

50 Cent Performs Surprise Set In Front Of Emily Ratajkowski & More For New York Fashion Week

50 Cent performed in front of a ton of celebrities for the launch of Poppi’s new Cherry Cola flavor in honor of New York Fashion Week on Friday night in his hometown. As caught by TMZ, those in attendance included: Emily Ratajkowski, Suni Lee, Michael Rainey Jr., Jasmine Tookes, Camille Kostek, Devon Windsor, Brooks Nader, Georgia Fowler, Ari Melber, Kevin Love, Patrick Ta, Lisa Barlow, and Meredith Marks. For the event, 50 performed several of his most popular songs from throughout his career. He rocked a white and red Versace t-shirt with a matching red New York Yankee hat.

Taking to Instagram afterward, he shared two posts in honor of the event. In one, he uploaded a screenshot of a Variety article covering the party with the caption: “I ain’t gonna hold you I had mad fun last night NYC Fashion week!” In another, he shared a video recap from the night. Fans showed plenty of love to 50 in the comments section. “This your year man. Thank you for putting on for the City and showing us NY niggas how to do it,” one user wrote. Another added: “All of this means that you need to drop a whole new album. The fans still messing with you.”

Poppi will be hosting a two-day event for the weekend at 105 Wooster Street. The immersive experience will have exclusive cherry-themed merch and brand activations. In a description on the brand’s website, the company describes the new flavor by writing: “When two faves maximize their joint slay, everybody wins. Ripe cherry collabs with crisp, refreshing cola for this juicy twist on a classic.”

Rihanna and Naomi Campbell have had beef rumors swirling around them for years now, none of which have really manifested into anything concrete. That being said, we don’t really blame folks for assuming that they don’t like each other given what little we have seen. For example, both superstars attended a New York Fashion Week event on Friday (September 6). The Dior partner went up to greet a man who was sitting right next to Campbell, and RiRi didn’t seem to acknowledge her at all. You can see this for yourself in the video down below, which many fans are treating as gospel.

Furthermore, for those unaware, Naomi Campbell denied that she and Rihanna had any sort of issues back in 2021. As for what the origin of this whole thing is, we’re not sure, although many assume that it’s just a competitive relationship in the worlds of media, fashion, and more. It’s far from Campbell’s only big-name celebrity interaction this year, though, which shouldn’t really be surprising considering her overwhelming fame. She sat front row with Kendrick Lamar (or rather, the other way around, since she’s the fashion icon here) for Chanel’s runaway earlier this year.

Yung Miami Draws Mixed Reactions To Her Bizarre New York Fashion Week Look

Yung Miami was turning heads and raising eyebrows during New York Fashion Week thanks to a pretty unique and even perhaps controversial outfit choice. Moreover, she donned a sheer see-through dress adorned with many black “A’s” to adorn her skin, as well as added black floral pieces around her legs, arms, and chest. The big detail is a larger black flower on Caresha’s face that covers most of her mouth, eyes, and nose, but leaves one circle completely open for her to peer with her right eye through. It’s a pretty eclectic and stylish combo, and one that pairs well for someone who might not want to be fully in the public eye due to the scandal involving Diddy.

Regardless, that’s just an unconfirmed and purely speculative interpretation of what Yung Miami’s dress could mean or symbolize. “When you in witness protection but still got to go to events to pay the rent,” one user joked about the Diddy situation. Yung Miami Turns Heads At NYFW With Odd Dress

Elsewhere, Yung Miami is making some really big moves in other areas apart from fashion, one of which is her interpersonal online relationships. She has clashed with a few different folks on social media, with DJ Akademiks being one of her biggest thorns. But it seems like they might bury the hatchet soon, as they apparently agreed to do an interview together for the former City Girl’s podcast Caresha Please. We don’t know what this convo would even look like, nor whether or not it would be amicably successful, but it would definitely be an interesting one.

However, this doesn’t mean that Yung Miami is cool with Ak’s former Everyday Struggle cohost, Joe Budden. He recently eviscerated her on his podcast due to how she made fun of him getting his gold “Pump It Up” plaque over 20 years after it released. It was a pretty ugly clap-back, but it was a pretty petty provocation. All is fair in love and war… And fashion, in this case.

When Beyonce pulled up to the annual Grammy Awards in cowboy couture to support her husband, Jay-Z, it’s safe to say the masses were confused. All through her RENAISSANCE era, the more of three wore lavish, over-the-top, avant-garde gowns that reflected the glamorous disco themes throughout her award-winning album. Now that she’s confirmed the album’s second act will arrive at the end of March, and will be a country project, we’re expecting to see Bey channel the best of the Wild Wild West more frequently throughout the final weeks of winter.

She didn’t disappoint when stepping out for the LUAR runway presentation during New York Fashion Week, as USA Today reports. The “Baby Boy” hitmaker surprised everyone by sitting in the front row on Tuesday (February 13) evening, just days after dropping “16 CARRIAGES” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” to introduce what her upcoming release will sound like. Her outfit was mostly silver, consisting of a bejeweled blazer dress, a head covering full of flashy gems, Mary J. Blige-esque thigh-high boots, and of course, her new signature cowboy hat.

ICYMI: LA Native YG Took New York Fashion Week By Storm

Rapper YG came to the east coast and showed out during New York Fashion Week. Sporting dope upscale looks, the west coast native kicked off the week by attending the Palomo Spain SS24 Runway Eckhaus Latta Show, held at the renowned Rockefeller Plaza. He later joined the festivities at the highly-exclusive CR x Dundas New York Fashion Week afterparty, hosted at the iconic Casa Cipriani in New York City. 

The following day, YG made an appearance at the Phillip Lim SS24 Fashion Show and that evening he attended and performed at the highly-exclusive Flaunt Afterparty located at the glamorous Ned NoMad Hotel. The star-studded event welcomed the grammy-nominated artist as he sported a cool leather ensemble by Jean Paul Gautier. On Tuesday the 12th, YG attended the GQ X Christian Louboutin Runway Show and on Wednesday the 13th he wrapped up his NYFW appearances by walking at the Willy Chavarria SS24 Show before performing at the Willy Chavarria afterparty.

Gunna Stunts Front Row At New York Fashion Week In Stylish Black & White Fit

The conversation around Gunna’s alleged snitching isn’t over, but there’s no one less fazed by it than Wunna himself. Moreover, he came back to his career this year following his December release from jail, where he served time for YSL’s RICO case. Now, after a sold-out New York show and a lot of fan acclaim for his new album, the rapper seems more comfortable than ever with popping outside. Not only that, but this heightened profile paired with some of his biggest commercial success to date. The College Park MC’s track “fukumean” recently beat out Drake’s “Search & Rescue” as the most streamed hip-hop song of 2023 in the U.S.

Furthermore, it seems that he wanted to show off his fit and look at other great ones to celebrate. Gunna recently attended the Luar fashion show for New York Fashion Week in the city this week, and looked dapper as ever while doing so. His look combined a lot of blacks and whites, from the top of his beanie all the way down to his kicks. Even if the 30-year-old’s career isn’t what it used to be, it’s far too early and successful right now to predict whether it’ll be even bigger than it ever was in the future.

Gunna Drips, Never Drowns, When He Hits Up NYFW

What’s more is that, when it comes to that “snitching” conversation, people close to both him and Young Thug have denied any bad blood. For example, Thugger’s father remarked during an interview with Infamous Sylvia that his Drip or Drown protégé is all good with them. “I love Gunna,” Jeffery Williams Sr. stated, further addressing the actual implications of his plea deal in the case. “Gunna hasn’t done anything whatsoever that can hurt us on this case. Period.”

Meanwhile, this is a conversation that the “turned your back” spitter wants to lay to rest, too. During his recent concert, he gave a birthday shoutout to King Slime and called for his freedom with his stage design. Maybe we’ll look back on his NYFW appearance as just another rapper hitting it up, not an impacted career trying to bounce back. Ice Spice has had a busy few weeks in the public eye. Earlier this week she was in attendance at the MTV Video Music Awards where she had a big night. She took home the fan-voted Best New Artist Award beating out other breakthrough stars like Peso Pluma and Renee Rapp. She was also seated next to Taylor Swift all night and found herself on camera often as the “Anti-Hero” singer took home awards all night. Even just a picture of the pair caught the rapper’s attention when she made a tweet about her own body surprising her.

Last week, Ice Spice was in attendance at New York Fashion Week. Pictures made the rounds of the rapper hanging out with Kali Uchis and Coi Leray, though fans couldn’t help but notice she wasn’t paying Coi much attention. Turns out, she also got the chance to perform during the week’s events. Earlier today videos of the rapper playing a show sponsored by Bose started making the rounds. In the clip she’s sporting an adorable outfit. She paired white knee-high, socks with a matching pink crop top and skirt set. Ice Spice Looks Adorable Performing At Fashion Week

Ice Spice has a new collaboration with Dunkin Donuts that fans find absolutely hilarious. Earlier this week she shared an elaborate 80-Carat Dunkin Donuts chain that she had made for the collab with fans online. Just a few days later she teamed up with Ben Affleck for the next step in her promotional campaign. Affleck has appeared in numerous commercials for the company already.

Ice Spice cemented her breakthrough 2023 with the release of her Like… EP Deluxe Edition. One of the extra songs was “Deli” which has become her most recent Hot 100 hit in a year packed full of them.
