Hitkidd & Lil Gotit Would Rather Be “Secluded” On New Single: Stream

Hitkidd recently boosted up his production repertoire again on his prolific streak, teaming up with Lil Gotit for this new single, “Secluded.” Moreover, it’s a woozy cut with bright keys, stark but hard-hitting trap percussion, and a lot of dreamy atmosphere to really put you in a trance. Lyrically, the Atlanta spitter is boasting about the usual flexes with some simple but sharp bars, particularly placing an emphasis on how they’re moving silently and “posted somewhere you can’t be at.” While the “How I’m Pose To Live” MC keeps more or less the same few flows throughout, his energetic vocal delivery does more than enough to keep his lyrics fresh and engaging.

Furthermore, this marks a bit of a departure from what the Memphis producer has been doing recently. He’s done a lot to put on for his city’s classic sounds, recently teaming up with a host of fiery femcees for the Renegade project. However, across Hitkidd’s other production credits, including Bladee and Lil Uzi Vert, there’s clearly a lot of versatility and fundamental skills within his skillset. It also helps that Lil Gotit knows how to approach a track like “Secluded” with a healthy balance of force and calm patience in his performance, highlighting the instrumental’s intoxicating qualities. It’s exactly what he crafted on previous singles like “Dr. Marten,” so while this isn’t an exciting reinvention, it at least keeps the quality standard up to snuff.

Strick & 6LACK Make It Clear They Are Top-Tier Men On “COME ALIVE”

Strick continues to prove to people that he can consistently go toe to toe with the best in the industry. The North Carolina R&B singer has been able to score collaborations with names like James Blake, Young Thug, Skepta, Ty Dolla $ign and so much more. The YSL signee has been keeping fans waiting for about two years for another new album, and a new one might be on the way shortly. We say that because Strick is back to working with another R&B veteran 6LACK for a new single “COME ALIVE.”

This is his second single of the year, and it follows up “KISSES MAKE SURE” with his mentor, Thugger, and James Blake. It seems like this next album could be stacked with big features. As we mentioned, this is Strick and 6LACK’s newest song together and its now their second. They previously worked on “Desire” back in 2019 off of The Machine, Vol. 2.

1999 WRITE THE FUTURE and Jean Dawson have been flying under a lot of people’s radars consistently. Both have been flourishing in the experimental side of hip-hop, as well as the alternative genre. Which is why their marriage here makes so much sense. For 1999’s latest single, they have decided to finally tap Jean Dawson for a collab called “fIT chECK fREEsTYle.”

The jack of all trades collective has been tearing it up with unique team-ups for the last several months now. It led to 1999 dropping their debut project hella. Rich Brian and the 88rising label have done some tremendous work getting this idea off the ground quickly and it led to some of our favorite songs of the year in 2023. As for Jean, he has continuously impressed, even this year, especially with his “New Age Crisis” single.

It seems that 1999 might be getting ready for a possible deluxe of hella, or just another project entirely. This is now their third single past the album, and they have worked with names like TiaCorine and Deb Never. “fIT chECK fREEsTYle” mixes a whole plethora of sounds and textures, from guitars, to drums, a trap instrumental, and everything in between. It is extremely progressive but it is not too much on the ears. It all flows seamlessly from one sound to the next.

NLE Choppa Thanks The LGBTQ+ Community For Showing His New Song Love

Earlier this week, NLE Choppa dropped his new track “Slut Me Out 2,” to mixed reactions. While some listening think the 21-year-old’s raunchy bars are a bit much, others have already dubbed it the song of the summer. Following the release of the fun single, NLE Choppa took to Twitter/X to thank one community that’s been showing it plenty of love.

“I’m noticing the LGBTQ community showing so much love to ‘Slut Me Out 2,’” he wrote. “And I Simply Want To Say Thank You.. IDC what’s normalized as a rapper, I was raised to F*ck with who f*ck with you! So thank y’all for appreciating my craft.. My music For ALL we do NO Discrimination [heart emoji].”

NLE Choppa Appreciates All Of His Fans

His heartfelt post follows speculation surrounding the rapper’s sexuality, which he expertly addressed in a separate post yesterday. “I understand me being in love with myself as a BLACKMAN is so RARE to the point some people try putting the homosexual jacket on my name but with all due respect I love ALL, but my intimacy lies with women only [prayer emoji],” he explained. Choppa went on to receive praise for keeping his response respectful and refusing to alienate any portion of his audience.

“Period let’s normalize not giving a F & simply doing our thing,” one social media user writes. “This why I love him! A straight man who is comfortable in his own skin but also shows support to his LGBTQ fans! Yall could never make me hate him,” another says. Anycia Sounds More Nonchalant Than Ever Before On “BAD WEATHER”

Presumably, the first of three dropped back in the latter half of January. That was “BACK OUTSIDE” with fellow femcee Latto which was an absolute banger. Then, in March Anycia would go on to feed the fans twice with “UP, LIT. FREESTYLE” and “NENE’S PRAYER.” With the album dropping on April 26, she is treating people to one more gift with “BAD WEATHER.”

Bankroll Got It and jetsonmade team up for colorful and bouncy throwback-like beat which lays atop Anycia’s subdued delivery. Out of all of the singles so far, this may be one of her most carefree performances, maybe even in her entire career. “BAD WEATHER” seems to be a song about the negativity that can sometimes surround someone and drag them down. It is why the nonchalant approach from Anycia makes sense here, as she does her best to brush off the bad vibes.

There is a chance that this is now the fourth teaser from the still unnamed project, with our last offering from him coming back in late March. The one that really caught a lot of people’s attention though is “Problems” with Pusha T. Both were bringing their A-game on that cut. But “Blasphemy” might be the one to overtake it.

Kalan.FrFr Embodies West Coast Hip-Hop On “EVERYBODY”

For about eight years or so, Los Angeles, California rapper Kalan.FrFr has been putting out signature vibes from the area. His usual chill and calm presence on the microphone is what makes him standout a little bit more from some of the higher energy MCs from the West Coast. Kalan.FrFr is back with a new single called “EVERYBODY” and it is out everywhere now. It is his first offering since early February’s “Ain’t No Fun,” and it also follows up his collaboration with 310babii on “stuck.” From what we know “EVERYBODY” and maybe also “Ain’t No Fun,” will be on an upcoming EP for Kalan.FrFr. For now, we have no word on a release date, or how many tracks will make the project.

“EVERYBODY” is a barebones record in terms of the lyrical content, but it brings that bouncy sound from the West we are accustomed to. NLE Choppa Starts New “Thrust” Challenge, Clears Up Sexuality Confusion

Today, NLE Choppa dropped his new track “Slut Me Out 2,” which is just as explicit as one would expect. The Memphis-born performer first teased the song during his performance at Rolling Loud in March, pairing the raunchy bars with some equally suggestive dance moves. It appears as though the rapper’s confidence has led to some confusion around his sexuality, however, which he recently addressed.

Earlier this week, he hopped on Twitter/X to clear things up, making it clear that he’s only romantically interested in women. “I understand me being in love with myself as a BLACKMAN is so RARE to the point some people try putting the homosexual jacket on my name but with all due respect I love ALL, but my intimacy lies with women only [prayer emoji],” he wrote.

NLE Choppa Says He’s Only Into Women

Fans think he handled his response well, and are praising him for being respectful and straightforward. Some commenters think that critics are simply jealous that Choppa is comfortable enough with himself to have fun. Luckily, he hasn’t let that slow him down, as he recently took to Instagram to invite others to join in on his new “thrust challenge.”

He asked Drake, DDG, Kai Cenat, and 2Rare to take part. According to him, the challenge was inspired by Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s “Wanna Be” twerking challenge, but this one’s for the guys, and only confident ones at that.

Tinashe Is Looking For Someone To Match Her Levels Of “Nasty”

Last year, Tinashe dropped her new album BB/ANG3L. The short project ran just 7 tracks and a little over 20 minutes but was packed full of her unique R&B flavors throughout. The record was met with the same critical acclaim as it’s predecessor, 2021’s 333. But the R&B songstress clearly doesn’t have plans to slow down any time soon. Just last week she announced a second part to the album that’s coming soon. Pt. 2 is called QUANTUM BABY and while it doesn’t have a release date yet, it does have a lead single.

That single is called “Nasty” and Tinashe just unleashed it into the world overnight. The track is a combination of romantic and sensual instincts that sees the R&B darling seeking out someone who can match her levels of nasty. She warns that she’s liable to catch feelings for anybody on her pace, which is where some of her music video co-stars come in. The visuals for the track are also a combination of sensual presentation and futuristic technological imagery. Last year, Tinashe had a pretty harrowing experience with a man who tried to break into her Los Angeles home. He was arrested after ringing the houses doorbell and being turned away, only to try and break in afterwards. Though he was charged with misdemeanor trespassing he was released shortly after which led the R&B singer to make her next move. That move was seeking out a restraining order in hopes that it would dissuade the man from doing similar things in the future. NLE Choppa Takes Absurdity To New Heights With NSFW Single “SLUT ME OUT 2”

There have been a few rappers lately that have been unapologetic in their music when it comes to their sexuality. One of those is energetic Memphis, Tennessee MC NLE Choppa. Last year, we saw the still 21-year-old dropped songs like “College Girls,” “IT’S GETTING HOT,” a remix of Nelly’s classic, and “SLUT ME OUT.” The latter of those now has a sequel, as NLE Choppa has decided to drop “SLUT ME OUT 2.”

This original version landed on his 2023 project Cottonwood 2, which saw its release nearly a year ago to the day, April 14. In that fairly short period, the sexually-charged song has surprisingly racked up over 322 million streams. To be fair though, it does have a fire beat and Choppa does bring some creative flows and an animated performance. For this next installment, NLE somehow turns things up a notch on “SLUT ME OUT 2.”
