It looks like an alleged leak of the “Fisherr” remix from Cash Cobain featuring Ice Spice did not deter these collaborators from giving it to fans very soon. Moreover, it looks like they were spotted in New York City filming a music video for the team-up, as you can see Spice and hear the song in the background on the Instagram clip below. We say “they” because it’s likely that an extended hand that pops up from the video’s angle is Cash’s , although the snippet doesn’t show the rest of the person’s body or face. Regardless, it sounds like these two might have another viral hit on their hands in their rising careers as some of New York’s most relevant new exponents right now.

Furthermore, it follows a really prolific stretch for both of them, with Cash Cobain getting a big Drake co-sign over the past few years and dropping his best and most far-reaching material yet. As for Ice Spice, she’s been one of the biggest names in music for the past year or so, and it’s not hard to see why. An engaged and consistent social media presence, plenty of viral moments, and most importantly, the strength of the hits have really paved a fruitful path. They both still have a long way to go, but that boundless future is part of what makes them exciting acts right now.

Skilla is back with a new solo single, which follows up “Plate” from February 2. However, he also been busy with the collaborations as of late too. In 2024, the 25-year-old MC has worked with CRASH RARRI, YN Jay, Sada Baby, Young Ra, Tavo Baby Big6, and Yung Miami. That latter team-up was a successful one for him, as “CFWM (Can’t F*** With Me)” was doing solid numbers when it dropped.

If there is there something to expect going into a Skilla Baby track, it is that you know you are going to get lot of wild energy. That is the case here too on “Free Big Meech.” There is plenty of street talk and violent bars to be had and it is all performed over a chilling trap beat. “Pistol whip a n**** with my blick and leave him cockeyed (Ha) / Put a ten on him, it ain’t s*** to get an opp fried (Ha).”

The polarizing veteran just continues to churn out song after song and beat after beat. For this latest offering, Russ is actually giving us a two-pack called “That’s My Girl & Tired.”

If you have been keeping your ears to the ground about his recent output, you know that he has been going for more personal tracks. Some have talked about messed up relationships, other have seen Russ speak passionately about not folding and letting the devil take over your life. This time around, the themes are quite different, while also sticking to the formula as of late. “That’s My Girl” is an obvious deviation from what we have heard, as he goes for a raunchy pop rap/R&B crossover.

Lucky Daye Is Looking To Go All The Way With A Love Interest On “HERicane”

Lucky Daye, a New Orleans, Louisiana based R&B artist, is someone who really picked up steam later in life. The 38-year-old singer and songwriter began to make a name for himself when he auditioned for the hit music television series American Idol back in 2005. Fast forward about 14 years and that was when he dropped his first album Painted. He would go on to be nominated four times at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards for it for Best R&B Album, Best Traditional R&B Performance, as well as Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance. All of that success has led Lucky Daye to becoming a still underrated, but household name and “HERicane,” his new single, shows why.

This track follows up the incredibly infectious and soulful “That’s You” that dropped back in November. The Bruno Mars and D’Mile produced cut has been on repeat for us since then and we are hoping it is teasing a new album. “HERicane” might be that second offering based on the similar themes of finding true love and wanting to be extremely intimate. On this record, also produced by D’Mile, Lucky Daye is doing what ever he can to draw in this woman with his charm.

All of these efforts he hopes will lead him to getting down and freaky with this woman and entering the “HERicane” so to speak. “This ain’t flirtin’, you deserve it, and you’re worth that much / Heart beat racin’, closin’ spaces, bodies touch / So elated, you’re amazin’.” This story is performed over a groovy guitar instrumental that is more upbeat and pop-inspired, compared to the moodier neo-soul “That’s You.”

This follows up a pretty steady stream of releases from him. The last offering we covered from him was the excellent love story single “PNW” (Pacific Northwest). In between “GOOD NUMBERS” and the former, Kota also put out “Bad 4 U” on March 20, just a day after “PNW.” On this new track below, the veteran rapper is seen writing another feel good song about becoming a successful artist and how that can help his loved ones in the future.

Yeat has grown to be one of the biggest rappers in the modern landscape and could maybe be one of the most influential. His wavy, rage rap sound has evolved over the last few years and 2093 was the last iteration of it. However, it seemed to divide a lot of fans, while winning over a handful of critics, including Anthony Fantano. But the Oregon native is seemingly winning back some of his supporters with a new single “HeliMAn.”

This track is currently a Soundcloud only release, so this track seems to be for the extreme die-hards. So far, plenty of them have flocked to support “HeliMAn” and they are digging it. Tons of flame emojis and praise fill the comments under the song, and it makes sense why. As with most of Yeat’s music, you go to it for the vibes, production, and hype factor.

This loosie checks off each of those boxes with perhaps the beat being the biggest highlight. The synths play a major role in adding some personality throughout the instrumental. However, Swift stunned and most likely sent her die-hards into a frenzy when she revealed overnight that this was a “secret double album.” That is why there now two version available for streaming, with the elongated version being called THE ANTHOLOGY.

She tweeted out, “I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours. As you can imagine, the Swifties are running up the streams and plays across all platforms. “Fortnight” with Post Malone is already one the album’s most tuned into tracks and for good reason. The opener has a lot of possible secret callbacks to past relationships and flings, as Genius has so astutely researched and theorized.

Jack Antonoff, one of Taylor’s most frequent producers, lays down some incredibly pretty synths that give it an 80s vibe. Post Malone chips in subtly with background vocals, but they add so much to the track. This first team-up goes over very well and it figures to be one the record’s strongest cuts.

Logic Name Drops Kendrick Lamar On New Single “44ever”

Logic never stops working. The rapper announced his retirement in 2020, but he’s dropped two albums and several mixtapes since then. He loves rapping too much to give it up, and his latest single, “44ever,” is a testament to that love. Logic and 6ix co-produce a moody instrumental over which Logic raps about his unbeatable talent on the mic. The rapper even compares himself to Kendrick Lamar, who’s currently engrossed in hip-hop’s “civil war.”

“44ever” is the latest installment in Logic’s “44” series. It’s similar to Drake’s timestamp records, in that it prepares the listeners to expect sharp bars and minimal hooks. “44 Bars” kicked off the series in 2016, followed by “44 More” in 2018. It’s been a while since Bobby Tarantino got in the booth to give us 44, but he mostly delivers here. He says right upfront that the song is for “day one” fans, before delving into bars about drinking with Zac Efron and feeling like Mick Jagger. The name drops are frequent, but the K. Dot reference is going to get most of the attention. Logic alludes to Lamar’s tendency to bomb on rappers (“Like That” anyone?) to illuminate his own competitive tendencies. “Bobby Boy bringin’ that kick like Kung Fu Kenny,” he raps. “Not many can f**k with me.”

Logic Keeps His “44” Series Going Strong

“44ever” was previewed back in March 2023. Logic teased a snippet of the song on TikTok, and stated that it will be on his upcoming album, Ultra 85. There did appear to be some confusion with the rollout, however. “44ever” was posted to Logic’s YouTube channel three hours before its official release on April 19, but it was subsequently taken down. It did not resurface until midnight ET. It’s currently available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify.

Nas and Preemo have classic work on their own, of course, but there’s something undeniably special about when these two collaborate. Songs like “N.Y. State of Mind,” “Nas Is Like,” and “I Gave You Power” are essential listens for any aspiring hip-hop fan. Their latest single, “Define My Name,” proves that they haven’t lost a step.

Nas has been teasing fans with a Premier collaboration all week. The rapper hopped on Instagram to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Illmatic, and thanked Preemo for his work on the album. Fans flocked to the comment section to ask for another collab, and Nas obliged. He posted the artwork and title of the new track hours before its release. “Define My Name” is exactly what you expect it to be, in the best way possible. Nicki Minaj’s Star-Studded “FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” Laps The Original

Nicki Minaj is on a high at the moment. The rapper’s Pink Friday 2 album was a success, and the accompanying tour has been even bigger. Minaj is currently on the highest-grossing tour ever by a female rapper, and to celebrate she’s dropped off a remix to “FTCU.” The original version of the song was a standout on Pink Friday 2, with its bass-heavy instrumental and Minaj’s ferocious delivery. The remix, however, takes it to a whole new level. “FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” is an upgrade from the original.

“FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” works so well because the simple production allows room for Minaj to share the spotlight with her superstar guests. She really brought the heavy hitters on this one, as the remix has verses from Chris Brown, Travis Scott and Sexxy Red. Minaj and Brown have collaborated many times over the years, but Scott is an unexpected inclusion. Scott and Minaj had beef back in 2018, when the latter accused Scott of using bundle deals to outsell her Queen album. It appears things are cool now, which is a plus for fans. Both Brown and Scott deliver here, yet it’s Sexxy Red who steals the show.

Minaj is returning the favor after Sexxy Red enlisted her for the remix of “Pound Town 2.” Their styles work well in tandem, and Red’s singular flow adds a different splash of color to the “FTCU” instrumental. “Pound Town 2” peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and given the star power involved here, its easy to envision a world where “FTCU (Sleeze Mix)” does just as well.
