Logic Is Letting Go Of All The Stress On “Ultra 85” Lead Single “Fear”

Bobby Tarantino, aka Young Sinatra, aka Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, aka Logic, is back. The prolific Maryland MC, producer, and singer is delivering the first track from his heavily teased album Ultra 85. This will be his ninth studio album among the bevy of mixtapes he has released over the years. Logic does not hesitate to drop albums, but for some reason, this one has been on the back burner. But, we are getting it sometime this year, so at least it is happening.

Fans got a special treat just four days ago when the 34-year-old announced the LP on his social media accounts. Logic included the covert art, as well as a short trailer revealing the lead single release date. The name of the track is “Fear” and is his first solo drop since July 5. His closest collaborator/producer 6ix helped him produce the song.

Listen To “Fear” By Logic

“Fear” begins differently than some may expect. It has this fast-paced dance-like instrumental in the first leg. At this point, Logic is showing off his technical rapping abilities. But, the beat transitions about halfway through to a more familiar East Coast boom-bap vibe that Logic is known for. It slows down, allowing Logic to sing instead of rap at a blistering pace. He brings a solid message about being one with yourself and not allowing other people to dictate how you will live your life. This is a solid first look at what is to come on Ultra 85.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Fear,” by Logic? Do you think he waited too long to drop the album or are you still excited? Will the lead single be the song from the project? Is this one of his better tracks in recent memory? Who should be featured on the record? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Logic. Quotable Lyrics:

Take a minute and think about what you’re doing
And why you’re doing it, why you pursuing it
Is you really happy?
I been all around the world and back again
I rap it in a microphone and let ’em know that if you’re coming at me I’ma never give up
Give a damn if I gotta live up to every single one of your expectations

USHER & Pheelz Deliver Light & Rhythmic Soul Cut “Ruin”

USHER is making his long overdue return to music very, very soon. The iconic performer and seductive R&B singer will finally be releasing his first album since 2018. That was a mini eight-song LP with fellow Georgian producer Zaytoven called “A” that had features from Future and Gunna. If you are wondering when USHER put out his last solo effort, you would have to return to 2016 with Hard II Love.

While dropping your first album in nearly six years is very exciting, performing at the Super Bowl is another reason to be giddy. It is safe to say USHER is feeling that way based on all of his recent interviews. The ageless 45-year-old superstar’s next album will be called COMING HOME and will have 20 tracks. The tracklist, as well as the release date, which is February 9, is available to be seen on Apple Music.

Listen To “Ruin” By USHER & Pheelz

So far, USHER has put out three songs from the LP. Those include “Good Good” with Summer Walker and 21 Savage, the Jung Kook collaboration “Standing Next to You,” and “Risk It All” featuring H.E.R. That is being pulled from The Color Purple movie soundtrack. This latest single is called “Ruin” and brings along Nigerian Afropop/Afrobeats artist and producer Pheelz. He takes the reigns on the beat and adds a verse. Both sing beautifully about a lover that is slowly draining them of their energy. The instrumental mixes elements of soul, R&B, and Pheelz native sounds of African music. It all comes together very well, so be sure to check it out.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Ruin,” by USHER and Pheelz? Is this the best single from his forthcoming record COMING HOME, why or why not? Will this be a top-tier project in his discography? Are you excited about the LP? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. YFN Lucci Drops “Free Me” Amid His Recent Legal Issues

YFN Lucci is dealing with a pretty major setback in his life right now. The veteran rapper hailing from the hip-hop hub of Atlanta, Georgia is currently under arrest after pleading guilty to one count of a violation against the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. This all went down for Lucci just about two weeks ago. However, there is a little bit of a silver lining in all of this.

It was originally reported that Lucci would have to serve a total of 20 years. 10 of those would be in prison, with the second half on probation. However, the sentence was updated to where he will only serve three and a half months in jail. Following that, Lucci will finish off the remainder of it on probation. While it is still not ideal, at least prison is out of the equation.

Listen To “Free Me” By YFN Lucci

Obviously, this has to be a lot for Lucci to deal with emotionally, mentally, and psychologically. One way artists know how to cope is through making music. That is what he has done moments ago, as he returns with a new single. “Free Me” is also the first solo single for Lucci in three years and it begins a rollout for his next album. The last time he put out a project was back in 2020 with Wish Me Well 3. In this soulful and trap-heavy cut, YFN gets out his frustrations surrounding life’s recent events.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Free Me,” by YFN Lucci? Is this the Georgia rapper’s best single ever, why or why not? Do you think he will get parole in the next four months? NBA YoungBoy Murders The Beat On “BNYX Da Reaper”

NBA YoungBoy is one of the most controversial rappers of the last 10 years or so. The Baton Rouge, Lousiana MC has maybe the most passionate and protective fan base out of any hip-hop artist going right now. But, if you venture just outside that circle of people, there are haters o’ plenty. The reason why he is so polarizing is due to his actions and comments online.

Recently, NBA YoungBoy was torched for his very questionable parenting skills. Additionally, he is almost always tangled up in some sort of beef. There is rarely a time when something is not amiss. NBA’s fans are separating the person from the artist it seems and that is okay.

Listen To “BNYX Da Reaper” By NBA YoungBoy & BNYX

Another reason why some might not like him that much either is due to the amount of music he pumps out each year. It does not help when the quality is not always there either. But, that is not stopping YoungBoy from slowing down one bit. He is back with a first-time collaboration with rap’s next-up producer, BNYX. If the beat on “BNYX Da Reaper” sounds familiar, that is because it is a rehash of “Who Wit Me.” That song landed on Quavo’s sophomore solo record Rocket Power.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “BNYX Da Reaper,” by NBA YoungBoy and BNYX? Is this the better version of “Who Wit Me” by Quavo, why or why not? Did YoungBoy do this beat justice? How many albums will he drop this year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Lil Yachty’s Lyrical Ability Progresses Further On “A COLD SUNDAY”

There is a large crowd out there that believes Lil Yachty is on a quote-unquote “generational run right now.” While that may be hard to believe for some, it is kind of hard to argue against that at this moment in time. The Georgia multi-hyphenate’s tear began in January of last year when he released Let’s Start Here. We talk about it a lot here on the site, but it is difficult not to when the album is so out of left field. Not only that, but it mainly stuck the landing.

Yachty’s psychedelic rock record is arguably his best work ever. Because of that, it seems he is more motivated than ever before. He was always consistent when it came to releasing music, but not with this level of aptitude. Lil Boat’s 2024 has been great so far as well, crossing over between genres. He is building on it with “A COLD SUNDAY.”

Listen To “A COLD SUNDAY” By Lil Yachty

What is impressive about this 1:47-long track, is the lyrical prowess Yachty is displaying. It has similar vibes to his and J. Cole’s “The Secret Recipe.” He brings a boom-bap instrumental with some gorgeous vocal sampling weaving in and out. “It’s a cold Sunday to complain / I hold it in until it rain / I fought demons after fame,” are just some of the strongest lines in the song. Who knows, maybe this is the start of a new rap album?

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “A COLD SUNDAY,” by Lil Yachty? Is this the best track he has been a part of so far this year? If not, which one is his strongest outing? Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg Mix East & West Coast Sounds On “Back Again”

Benny The Butcher is someone you can almost always count on to put out a fantastic listen front to back. The edgy Buffalo wordsmith has been in the game for a hot minute but has more or less blown up fairly recently. Part of that reason could be because he inked a deal with Def Jam not too long ago. But, let us be real with ourselves for a second. His lyricism, the ability to craft interesting and intricate flows, as well as his ear for good production, have brought him to this moment right here.

That moment we are talking about is his brand-new album, Everybody Can’t Go. The trim 12-track project features production heavily from legends Hit-Boy and The Alchemist. You will also find Lil Wayne, his Griselda mates Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn, and plenty more. One track that has been a go-to for us and others is “Back Again” with Snoop Dogg.

Listen To “Back Again” By Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg

Surprisingly, this is not their first collaboration. Back in November 2021, they, along with Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes, came together for a haunting single “Murder Music.” “Back Again” is an effortless synergy of West meets East. Benny brings some of his best writing in a song that talks about focusing on staying on course toward your goals. Snoop kills the chorus and the beat from Hit-Boy adds elements of East Coast boom-bap and sirens that are so prevalent in G-Funk and gangsta rap from the West. You can check out the killer visuals and music in the music video above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Back Again,” by Benny The Butcher and Snoop Dogg? Is this the best track from Everybody Can’t Go, why or why not? Is this the greatest album he has ever put out? Does this have the potential to be the album of the year, why or why not? What tracks are you gravitating toward so far? DJ Khaled Teases New Album And Travis Scott Collaboration

Last year, DJ Khaled announced a new album coming soon. He was pretty scant on details and most of the attention went to the song he dropped “SUPPOSED TO BE LOVED.” The song featured the high-profile trio of Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, and Future and has racked up more than 12.5 million streams on Spotify since it dropped. But fans that were still holding out for news on Khaled’s entire new album just got an update this week.

Khaled took to Instagram to share a video of him in the studio with Travis Scott. The clip shows them vibing to a track, but it has no audio so not much can be gleaned about the actual song itself. “Soon as I played the beat la fame 🔥
said turn mic 🎤 on ,ofcourse I agreed new album in works @wethebest FANLUV WORLDWIDE 🌍 CANT WAIT TO SHARE THIS NEW ALBUM EXPERIENCE WITH YOU” the caption of the post reads. Once again Khaled is scant on the details in terms of a timeline for the new album. But fans are no doubt excited that it’s still in the works. Check out the full video below.

Monaleo Is Bringing The Party To You On “Don Who Leo”

A lot of rappers love to hone in on a particular lane that they can rely on creatively. While some will argue that makes you one-dimensional, it can also be true that some artists like to deliver one sound. That can work in their favor, especially if they are bringing fans back for more every time they drop. Monaelo is one of those MCs who is always going to drop head-knocking bangers.

The relatively new girl on the block hails from Houston, Texas. “Go big or go home” is their trademark saying down south and Monaleo is always going for it all. The last time we spoke about her music was the last time she put out a single back in late September. It was about “Crying On Your Birthday,” which featured some wild punchlines. That continues to be a trademark in her songs with her latest drop.

Listen To “Don Who Leo” By Monaleo

This is also Monaleo, first offering for 2024 and it comes in the form of “Don Who Leo.” A trap banger with loud bass and some bells for some extra grand appeal. The cleverly named song makes a nod to the popular hard liquor Don Julio. Monaleo mentions crazy one-liners in this one. “Pulling cards, b****, this ain’t no Yu-Gi-Oh! (Yeah) / I get straight to business and I’m strict, Judge Judy h*e (Yeah, Yeah, Uh-huh).” Be sure to check out the accompanying music video above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Don Who Leo,” by Monaleo? Is she the queen of party hip-hop songs from the South? Which track is your favorite of hers and why? Chance The Rapper Delivers New Single “I Will Be Your” Dedicated To Black Star Line Festival: Stream

Chance The Rapper is gearing up to drop Star Line Gallery in spring of 2024, fans believe, and this new track “I Will Be Your” is a great indicator of that. Moreover, the song is dedicated to his Black Star Line Festival in Ghana, and as such, themes of community, perseverance, support, and hope in the face of adversity are very present. It makes for one of the Chicago rapper’s most emotionally resonant singles in his post-The Big Day run, although these other cuts did not have a lack of meaning. Instead, this song amplifies it with a light-hearted tone, both delivery-wise and production-wise, even if its artist is speaking on large issues. What’s important is that he tackles them with the care and levity with which you’d speak to a family member.

Furthermore, a soulful sample provides the bed in which Chance The Rapper lyrically lays, proclaiming that “I will be your everything.” By cutting out the last word, he switches between being different roles for a loved one, all of which communicate the idea of him as a leader. Think what you will of the “Writing Exercise #5” MC’s last project, but don’t doubt that he has this capacity. Sure, some may read this as a little too savior-complexed, but we’d be lying if we said that it wasn’t an inspiring sonic pallet. Lyrically, he’s colorful, charismatic, clever, and seems very focused on building a lively and comforting narrative.

Meanwhile, as Chance The Rapper continues to reflect on Acid Rap‘s ten years in the culture and speak out against pay disparity for Black women in Hollywood, we’re sure he has a lot to say on Star Line Gallery. If you haven’t heard “I Will Be Your” yet, check it out above, as it’s only available on YouTube at press time. SleazyWorld Go Unleashes On His Enemies On New Single “32 Bars”

SleazyWorld Go had a massively successful year in 2023, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Following the 2022 release of his album Where The Shooters Be, the Michigan-born performer unveiled various singles. He unleashed “Got Me Hot” back in September, and later came through with “Major Leagues” just ahead of the new year.

He even shared a romantic track called “With My Boo” a few months ago, which would surely make a great addition to listeners’ Valentine’s Day playlists. Earlier this week, he dropped off yet another single. This time, he’s gone back to his roots to diss his ops on “32 Bars.”
