FTO Sett Doesn’t Want You To “Duck No Smoke” On New Single

Sett, who also goes by FTO Sett, is a Memphis, Tennessee rapper who we have not covered for all the best reasons. He was recently arrested in late February for a connection to a drug and firearms case. On top of that his bond was revoked so he is still awaiting his fate. His next court date was for March 5 and there was no clear-cut reason at the time of the report as to why his bond was rescinded.

The last time we spoke about FTO Sett musically was for a collaboration with Lil Baby called “Can’t Be F***ed With.” That hit streaming back in mid-January. As for 2023, the still budding rapper delivered his debut tape with 29 tracks and a host of features on Life of a SlimeCrook. In the present, regardless of his legal issues, FTO is looking to feed his fans.

Future & Metro Boomin Unveil Hypnotic “Drink N Dance” Music Video

The release of both Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative LPs, We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, have been explosive, to say the least. When the first arrived last month, fans were quick to react to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Like That,” which takes shots and Drake and J. Cole. For this reason, fans were eager to hear what else the duo had up their sleeves, and it’s safe to say they weren’t let down.

Listeners can agree that Future and Metro managed to deliver yet again on the sequel. It features the likes of ASAP Rocky, The Weeknd, and more. Interestingly enough, J. Cole even makes an appearance. As expected, it’s resulted in even more online chaos as well as a response track from Drake, “Push Ups.” Needless to say, the drop is one that’s likely to be discussed for some time.

Future & Metro Boomin Drop New We Still Don’t Trust You Visual

One song from the album that quickly became a fan favorite was “Drink N Dance,” though it’s free of any high-profile guest performers. The laid-back, dreamy track has now gotten an accompanying music video. Dimly lit moments of intimacy between Future and a leather-clad woman are interrupted by disorienting club scenes, matching the dark, sexual themes of the song. The latest video follows the release of one to accompany the project’s title track and features The Weeknd. It manages to harness much of the same energy of the “Drink N Dance” video, staying true to the album’s aesthetic while taking a brighter approach by introducing more color.

What do you think of Future and Metro Boomin’s album, We Still Don’t Trust You? What about their new “Drink N Dance” music video? Which of the project’s music videos has been your favorite so far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Rod Wave Updates An Older Track With “Numb”

Rod Wave has gone through a little bit of a rough patch in his life. Earlier this month, the Florida rapper and singer was arrested after weapons and/or ammo were found on his person. This arrest was escalated based on the fact that the multi-hyphenate was previously charged with felony battery charges, even though they were dropped. As a felon, you are not allowed to carry weapons. However, Rod was back in the clear after police did some extra digging. It turned out that it was “not accurate,” so he was released from his jail cell shortly after being put in handcuffs.

With that messy situation behind him, Rod Wave has been comfortable enough to get back into the recording booth. Case and point, this new single from him called “Numb.” This is Rod’s first piece of music since his acclaimed 2023 record Nostalgia. However, you are not going to find the song on streaming, as it is only on YouTube as of now.

Listen To “Numb” By Rod Wave

If the “Numb” title looks familiar to you, that is because Rod Wave made a song of the same name in 2018. It landed on just his second project called Hunger Games 3, a point in his career where he will still finding his stride. The “original” version some rough vocal chops that seem unrecognizable today. This 2024 edition features a better listening experience all the way around. On this track, Rod is singing/rapping about people turning on him and getting used to it. He also wrestles with his drug addiction because of it and you can tell Rod feels damaged from it based on his cadence.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Numb” by Rod Wave? Is this the better version of his 2018 track, why or why not? Where do you rank this song amongst the rest of his entire discography? Do you think he should give the song a wider release? Is Nostalgia still in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Rod Wave. 03 Greedo Releases Music Video For Maxo Kream Collab “R.I.C.O”

03 Greedo is making the most of his freedom. The Los Angeles rapper was locked up from 2018 to 2023, and has been on a roll ever since his release. The music video for his latest single, “R.I.C.O.,” is proof. 03 Greedo and Maxo Kream spit over an ominous beat that’s matched perfectly by the lo-fi aesthetic of the video. The camera switches between modern, hi-definition footage and grainy footage reminiscent of the 1990s. It’s a little retro, a little self-aware, and a lot of style.

The chill vibe of the the song’s first half is made all the impressive by the beat switch at the 1:41 mark. 03 Greedo and Maxo Kream kick their relaxed flows into high gear and deliver menacing bars about blasting snitches and serving time. “R.I.C.O.” also benefits from the chemistry between the two emcees. Greedo’s animated flow bounces off of Maxo’s deeper voice, creating a tension that carries throughout the track. The duo are clearly fans of each other, though, based on the fun interaction they have at the end of the video.

03 Greedo And Maxo Kream Deliver Ominous Vibes

“R.I.C.O.” is a perfect example of Greedo’s appeal. The track doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it sounds and feels good. The rapper talked about his particular skill set during an interview with The Face. “A lot of people make music but it doesn’t feel good,” he explained. “My s**t? It feels good. You can feel every word. The street songs? Even if you never held a gun, it makes you feel like you gon’ go ride tonight.”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new music video for “R.I.C.O.” by 03 Greedo and Maxo Kream? Is this the best track Greedo has dropped in 2024? Chief Keef, Mike WiLL Made-It, & Sexyy Red Drop Off Music Video For “DAMN SHORTY”

Just over a month ago, Chief Keef and Mike WiLL Made-It, collaborated with Trap-A-Holics for their long-awaited mixtape DIRTY NACHOS. The rapper and producer tandem had been building up to this project for about a few years. In fact, the first single to be released for the project officially was “LOVE DON’T LIVE HERE,” which hit streaming platforms all the way back on June 15, 2021. Then, just a couple of months later of that same year, “HARLEY QUINN” dropped. Things would not ramp up again for the tape until February of this year with the self-titled track. Now, Keef and Mike are dropping the first music video and “DAMN SHORTY” is the first track up to bat.

The song had one of just three features on the 18-song tracklist and Sexyy Red was one of them. This marked the third time that Red and Keef collaborated. Before, the Chicago influencer laid down vocals for one track off the Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe). That was “Ghetto Princess,” but Keef also contributed to a remix of “(F My Baby Dad)” called “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Mama).”

Meek Mill Drops Visuals For “Came From The Bottom”

Meek Mill has not been having the greatest last few weeks or so. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rapper has been dealing with the shade from DJ Akademiks, 50 Cent, and more for his alleged ties to Diddy. The homosexual jokes and overall ridicule he has received has been coming in droves, something that is assuredly fed up with at this point. He has tried ruthlessly to clear his name and sexuality, but to not much avail. On top of that, Meek Mill has not been doing so hot on the music front either. Both of his recent releases, Too Good To Be True with Rick Ross, and his independently released solo tape HEATHENISM, suffered from lackluster sales figures.

However, Meek is not prone to giving up on himself and has shown that throughout his over decade long career. For HEATHENISM, Meek placed five songs on it and four of them have gotten music videos. The most recent one of the bunch to receive a set of visuals is “Came from the Bottom.” It is the multi-phased intro that may be one of his more entertaining performances as of late.

Meek Mill “Came From The Bottom” Music Video

In this music video, Meek shows some family pictures for the storytelling half of the track. The more mellow vibe of the visuals matches well with what Mill’s lyrics are portraying. Then, when the track transitions into its more aggressive second half, the video gets wilder. All the money that Mill was counting up at the start soon gets tossed at women, and it correlates to the faster and more energetic energy of the song.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new music video for “Came from the Bottom” by Meek Mill? Is this the best track on HEATHENISM, why or why not? Where do you rank this amongst the rest of his music videos and why? Where do you stand on Meek right now amid everything going with Diddy? Anycia Sounds More Nonchalant Than Ever Before On “BAD WEATHER”

With Atlanta, Georgia being one of the hubs for hip-hop, you already know that there is going to be an abundance of varying talent and styles. Anycia is someone who does not exactly fit into one specific lane. That is apparent through her casual mic presence and lyricism. It has quickly become an easily recognizable sound and it is why she will be cementing her star status very shortly when she releases her debut album. “BAD WEATHER” from Anycia is now most likely the third single from the LP.

Presumably, the first of three dropped back in the latter half of January. That was “BACK OUTSIDE” with fellow femcee Latto which was an absolute banger. Then, in March Anycia would go on to feed the fans twice with “UP, LIT. FREESTYLE” and “NENE’S PRAYER.” With the album dropping on April 26, she is treating people to one more gift with “BAD WEATHER.”

Bankroll Got It and jetsonmade team up for colorful and bouncy throwback-like beat which lays atop Anycia’s subdued delivery. Out of all of the singles so far, this may be one of her most carefree performances, maybe even in her entire career. “BAD WEATHER” seems to be a song about the negativity that can sometimes surround someone and drag them down. It is why the nonchalant approach from Anycia makes sense here, as she does her best to brush off the bad vibes.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “BAD WEATHER” by Anycia? Is this the best track she has put out as of late, why or why not? Does this get you excited for her upcoming album later this month, why or why not? Who would you want to hear on it when it drops? Ray Vaughn Delivers A Head-Nodding Flow On “Blasphemy”

Ray Vaughn might be new to Top Dawg Entertainment, but do not let his “inexperience” fool you. The Long Beach, California rapper has been on the label for about three years now and pretty soon he will be dropping his debut album. Fans have been waiting for this moment, especially after releasing single after single since 2018. We most likely have our next album single from Ray Vaughn called “Blasphemy.”

There is a chance that this is now the fourth teaser from the still unnamed project, with our last offering from him coming back in late March. The one that really caught a lot of people’s attention though is “Problems” with Pusha T. Both were bringing their A-game on that cut. But “Blasphemy” might be the one to overtake it.

This track is braggadocious to the core and it features some slick and cocky bars that are sure to be in our heads for days. “I know the guys’ gone blast for me / Louis V pouch at capacity / They can’t make this in a factory / God just blessed me with it naturally.” All of this is performed with an incredibly sticky melody and flow from Ray Vaughn. The eerie and trap beat is provided some of the best in the business, including Boi-1da and OZ. All of these factors combined give fans a track to have on repeat.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Blasphemy” by Ray Vaughn? Is this the best track that he has put out as of late, why or why not? NLE Choppa Takes Absurdity To New Heights With NSFW Single “SLUT ME OUT 2”

There have been a few rappers lately that have been unapologetic in their music when it comes to their sexuality. One of those is energetic Memphis, Tennessee MC NLE Choppa. Last year, we saw the still 21-year-old dropped songs like “College Girls,” “IT’S GETTING HOT,” a remix of Nelly’s classic, and “SLUT ME OUT.” The latter of those now has a sequel, as NLE Choppa has decided to drop “SLUT ME OUT 2.”

This original version landed on his 2023 project Cottonwood 2, which saw its release nearly a year ago to the day, April 14. In that fairly short period, the sexually-charged song has surprisingly racked up over 322 million streams. To be fair though, it does have a fire beat and Choppa does bring some creative flows and an animated performance. For this next installment, NLE somehow turns things up a notch on “SLUT ME OUT 2.”

It is truly impossible to include all of the absurdly funny lyrics but here is a small sample of them. “If I was a bad b****, I’d wanna hump me too, hmm (No Diddy) / I’d wanna trap me too, hmm (No Diddy) / Nothin’ freaky that I wouldn’t do to me (No Diddy).” The reference to all of the jokes surrounding the rapper’s plethora of legal issues is far from the most hilarious bars on the song. Omar Apollo Is Still Hooked On A Past Relationship On “Spite”

Omar Apollo is one of the more unsung talents in the alternative space. He has plenty of high-prolife features for artists such as Kali Uchis, Daniel Caesar, Joji, and more. Apollo also dabbles in Latin music, which can be credited to his Mexican parents. All in all, he is an extremely versatile talent that deserves more recognition for his work. Omar Apollo is back to prove his skillset again with “Spite.”

This is his first offering of 2024 as a whole so far. He did come through in October with a four-track EP called Live For Me. It featured the lead single “Ice Slippin,” and most of the songs were moodier in tone and production. With “Spite” though, Omar brings some more lively and upbeat production courtesy of a guitar and light drums. On this record, he is singing about a relationship that has him strangled.
