Big Sean Drops Grim Visuals For “Yes” Single

If things check out, we should be receiving Big Sean’s brand-new album Better Me Than You on August 31. Of course, fans were supposed to have their hands on the tape back on August 9. However, thanks to the good old leaking community, Sean decided to make some minor adjustments beforehand. That’s we and a lot of other believe, however the Detroit MC pushed it back due to wanting to plan out concerts and such. That very well may be true, but with leaks ruining so many things from dropping on schedule or at all, we feel that’s what is going on here. Depending on how you look at it, Sean was able to drop another single this past weekend with The Alchemist.

Currently, we are up to four teaser tracks, which also include “Yes”, “Precision”, and “On Up”. Out of all the ones we have heard so far, we feel that Big Sean did his best work on “Yes”, which is single number two. So far, it seems this will be the album’s biggest banger. If that’s the case, we should be in for a solid album from Sean Don. The epic and dark instrumental suits his aggressive and “no f***s given” attitude on the track. His flows and deliveries are also engaging as he hits you with his familiar cool, calm, and collected voice. Additionally, he gets a little more animated and zanier to jolt some extra energy into his already thrilling performance. To give fans more to chew over, Sean teamed up with Lyrical Lemonade to deliver some equally gloomy visuals for “Yes”. They accentuate what the song sets out to be and we encourage you to check out the creative production below.

Future & Metro Boomin Take A Victory Lap In Visuals For “Streets Made Me A King”

Future and Metro Boomin continue to prove that they are one of the most inseparable duos in hip-hop. After assisting Mr. Hendrix on his R&B-flavored sister album HNDRXX, the superstar beat craft from St. Louis, MO took some time away from his Atlanta brother. In fact, the hiatus went from 2018 to the very end of 2022. Even on Metro’s projects NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES and SAVAGE MODE II did Pluto appear. But when “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)”dropped at midnight, December 2, all was right with the world. The two trap icons were reunited and that would be the start to their rekindling. Since then, they have gone on to release a tandem of projects this year, both of which figure to be in rotation for many beyond 2024.

The most recent is WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, the April sequel to the March LP, WE DON’T TRUST YOU. Quite a bit of fans are coming around to the former, after a lot of them were quite let down initially. It makes sense considering the fact that the first of the two albums was more hype and dark. Of course, it’s also got tracks such as “Like That”, the title track, “Type S***”, “WTFYM”, and more. WSDTY sees more R&B and melodic cuts like the ones we got on HNDRXX seven years ago. However, to appease the masses Future and Metro gave us more aggressive cuts on disc two, such as the closing song, “Streets Made Me A King”.

The braggadocious anthem about street life making Hendrix a star is a classic theme that fans eat up every time. It may not be one of the most popular cuts, but the track is a certified banger. For these albums, the Wonder Twins have put out a handful of music videos, and WSDTY is receiving its third. You can check them out taking a victory lap over the successes with the link below.

Ray Vaughn Is Prepared For The Beef On Fiery New Single, “Ray Wop”

The West Coast is up in 2024, and it seems like we have a new reason to celebrate Cali every single week… Which means we’ve been eating good. Moreover, Ray Vaughn just delivered the latest bouncy banger with his new single “Ray Wop,” and it’s just as bouncy and grimy as you’d hope for. Also, this follows his two previous singles, the much more reflective and measured “Supposed To Die” and “Black Jesus,” and it’s great to hear him showing off more versatility and variety in this new era.

TDE’s newest star, who previously dropped heaters like “Blasphemy” and even got a Pusha T cosign on “Problems,” is absolutely relentless on this new cut. “Ray Wop” sees him engage in classic West Coast flows with a lot of aggression, confidence, and personality. Ray Vaughn weaves in more melodic moments here too, bolstered by woozy key embellishments that add to the dramatic string sample and gritty Cali percussion. As far as the lyrical content, the verses here are charismatic, boastful, clever, and vividly creative when it comes to his phrasing.

Furthermore, we’ll see what else the “Sandcastles” spitter has in store for us this year, and we hope it arrives sooner rather than later. Still, if you haven’t heard Ray Vaughn’s “Ray Wop” yet, find it on your preferred streaming service or check out the music video on YouTube below. In addition, find some standout bars further down and let us know what you thought of the track down in the comments section. As always, come back to HNHH for the latest amazing hip-hop drops around the clock.

Megan Thee Stallion Is A Venomous Vixen In Music Video For “Mamushi”

Megan Thee Stallion’s comeback has been one of much success. Her self-titled third studio album MEGAN performed very well in its first week, selling a respectable 64,000 copies. That was good enough for a number three debut on the Billboard Hot 200 and it’s currently sitting at number 40. A lot of tracks have been garnering a lot of love from fans and one of them is Megan Thee Stallion and Yuki Chiba’s “Mamushi”. The track is an ode to her adoration for Japan and its culture, and her being able pay respect to it on her biggest album has to have felt good. Since it landed on the Hot 100 five weeks ago, the track has not left and right now it’s in at the 36th slot.

It makes sense why it remains pretty high too. “Mamushi” is one of the slickest and catchiest songs on the record thanks to Megan’s melody on the chorus. Additionally, her rapping in Japanese alongside Yuki Chiba was a fun addition. At some point, a music video was bound to come to fruition and that day is today, according to Uproxx. There were some hints of this being in the works in late July, as she announced the filming of the video in Japan was getting underway on her IG. The video is a creative one, as there appears to be a fun callback to Rush Hour 2. A man walks into spa and selects Megan to be his masseuse. However, she transforms into Japan’s deadliest snake, the Mamushi, and kills him. In fact, anytime a man leers at her, she turns into this venomous reptile. It’s another way of alluding to Megan shedding her past and the men she deems no good.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Unleash “Fried” Music Video

This weekend Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign unleashed their new album Vultures 2, which has since managed to spark some controversy. While many are enjoying the project so far, others are unimpressed. Many raised issues with the mixing in particular. Luckily, Ye promised updated versions of the tracks, which he delivered several of this week.

Now, the duo has unveiled a new visual for their track “Fried.” As expected, it’s also earned mixed reactions from viewers. It features a pack of masked individuals running through seemingly endless hallways, with no clear goal in sight. While some think it’s interesting and pairs well with the song, others think it left a lot to be desired.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Deliver New Vultures 2 Visuals

“Ye what am I watching,” one YouTube commenter wonders. “The visuals got my brain fried,” another jokes. Of course, it’s still up for debate whether or not this is a worthy visual, and the same can be said for the rest of the project. Despite some ongoing criticism, however, the duo are expected to have a successful first week in terms of first-week sales. According to Chart Data, Vultures 2 is on track to move 68K units in its first week. While this is certainly no small feat, it would be only the third time in Ye’s career he hasn’t topped the Billboard 200 chart the week of a release.

The other two times this has happened were in 2008 when he dropped his debut The College Dropout, and in 2018 when he unveiled Kids See Ghosts with Kid Cudi. What do you think of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new “Fried” music video? What about social media users’ criticism? Are you a fan of it or not? What’s your favorite track from Vultures 2 so far? Young Thug’s Dad Reaffirms Gunna Support With Appearance In “One Of Wun” Video

There’s been a lot of speculation about Gunna and Young Thug’s relationship in recent months, particularly as the latter sits behind bars amid his RICO trial. Despite Gunna being arrested in the same indictment, he was released at the end of 2022, prompting rumors that he “snitched” on his codefendents. He denies this, though that’s done little to quell critics’ suspicions.

Regardless, Gunna insists he still has a solid relationship with Young Thug. He even seems to be on great terms with his father. The hitmaker unveiled a new music video for his track “One Of Wun” earlier this week, and Jeffery Williams Sr. makes an appearance. The basketball-themed visual also features Tyran Stokes, Brandon McCoy Jr., Parker Robinson, Jayden Wilkins, and Romelo Hill from Overtime Elite.

Young Thug’s Dad Speaks Facts In Gunna’s New Music Video

While fans are certainly glad to see Williams Sr. in Gunna’s latest video, they’re not necessarily surprised. In June, he was spotted turning up at the “fukumean” performer’s show in Atlanta as the rest of the crowd cheered him on. Obviously, he’s still cool with Gunna, despite whatever critics may have to say about it. He even came to the hitmaker’s defense amid snitching rumors last year, insisting that Gunna didn’t turn his back on his son.

“I love Gunna,” he told Infamous Sylvia. “Gunna hasn’t done anything whatsoever that can hurt us on this case. Period.” Gunna also claimed that the case hasn’t harmed his relationship with the YSL founder during an interview with XXL this year, insisting that nothing has changed. “It’s the same. It’s love, always,” he told the outlet at the time. What do you think of Gunna’s new music video for his track “One Of Wun”? What about Young Thug’s father, Jeffery Williams Sr., making an appearance in the basketball-themed video? Gunna Coaches Touted High School Hoopers In Music Video For “One Of Wun”

Gunna is giving his latest album One of Wun its fourth set of visuals, as he drops the music video for the title track this weekend. This is follows up on his Atlanta tribute piece for “back to the a”, which is now a month old. Other cuts from his fifth studio effort to receive such treatment include “whatsapp (wassam)” and the most successful collaboration “prada dem” featuring Offset. In the music video for “one of wun”, the most popular track on the record, Gunna commands each sideline on the basketball court. It appears to be a big-time matchup as well, especially just based on the talent that’s on display. According to Uproxx, almost all of the basketball players are sought after high school recruits.

Additionally, there are some Overtime Elite hoopers, a league ran by a sports media company of the same name. It’s helped some athletes reach the NBA level such as recent lottery pick Alex Sarr. If you are wondering who makes appearances in Gunna’s video these are your stars. They are Tyran Stokes, Brandon McCoy Jr., Parker Robinson, Jayden Wilkins, and Romelo Hill. The first two are the top two high school stars in the country, while the latter are all OTE players. Making this a clever video is the fact that it relates to this bar from Gunna, “Think all about how they want me to lose, but I’m W, due for a win“. He literally does take an L and a W at the same, which adds a smidge of comedy into the mix. You can check out the video with the link below.

Today, Ice Spice dropped her eagerly anticipated debut album Y2K! following months of teasing. The project includes various previously released singles like “Phat Butt” and “Think U The Sh*t,” along with six brand new tracks. It also boasts high-profile features from the likes of Central Cee, Gunna, and Travis Scott.

Now, Ice Spice has unveiled a new music video for her collaboration with Scott, “Oh Shhh…” The video begins with Ice Spice throwing it back in a display case at what appears to be a museum. Of course, onlookers are stunned as they watch in awe. The Bronx-born performer then channels Lady Liberty, holding a torch as she poses in front of the New York City skyline.

Ice Spice Drops Off New Y2K! Visuals

Things take a fiery turn when Travis Scott is introduced, as the city is quickly consumed by flames. He spits his verse from the iconic statue’s crown while unbothered by the chaos taking place behind him, enjoys a feast with his collaborator, and more. So far, fans are loving the fun visual. Unfortunately, however, the same can’t be said for the rest of the album. As reactions to Y2K! continue to roll in, listeners’ feedback has been overwhelmingly negative. While some are simply disappointed by the lack of new material it actually includes, others think Ice Spice needs to consider changing up her sound.

Many even think Ice Spice threw shade at Cardi B on her track “BB Belt,” which has fans split and seemingly earned a heated response from the “Enough” rapper yesterday. What do you think of Ice Spice’s new album, Y2K? Do you think it deserves all of the negative feedback it’s been receiving online or not? What about her new music video for her track “Oh Shhh…” with Travis Scott? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Eminem Chainsaws Slim Shady To Pieces In “Tobey” Music Video

There is no secret that the plan for Eminem on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is to axe his alter ego, figuratively speaking. However, the iconic Detroit rapper is doing so literally (as possible) in the “Tobey” music video. Overseen by Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade, this quickly became one of the most anticipated set of visuals for 2024. It is wild to think that even nearly three decades in, Eminem still has this much of a gravitational pull in hip-hop. Overall, this just further cements his legacy in the genre, even though that happened years ago. The accompanying video was announced the same day (June 28) as the “Tobey” single. Originally, it was slated to hit YouTube on July 5, however, Eminem felt it was not finished.

So, he gave his fan base a sneak peek of what was in the works on that former drop date. Additionally, Eminem said it would drop on the 8th. Well, the day is finally here, and the imagery and direction are very fun and symbolic. It essentially feels like the idea was to create a timeline effect. “Tobey” features two other Detroit stars (BabyTron and Big Sean); a nod to the three generations of talent from the blue-collar city. It starts with BabyTron first, then to 2010s decade with Sean. Eminem follows up the rear and his backdrops include the house he grew up in, and the literal murder of the Slim Shady persona with the cause of death being a chainsaw. It is quite the crescendo and it figures to be one of the most viewed music videos of the year. Check it out with the link below.

Megan Thee Stallion Shows Off Her Trip To Japan In Music Video For “Otaku Hot Girl”

Megan Thee Stallion is a little bit of nerd if you were not aware already. That is especially true in relation to her love of the Japanese culture and the world of anime. Earlier this year, the H-Town Hottie became a Hiroshima Hottie, as she explored Tokyo and all it had to offer. Her fans, and lots of thirsty men alike, were absolutely loving the cosplay thirst traps she was feeding them. Furthermore, it seemed like Megan had a great time throughout her trip because some of that fandom makes it onto her self-titled LP. There are two tracks on MEGAN that display this adoration, and those include “Mamushi” and “Otaku Hot Girl”. In terms of the song itself, the latter is one of the catchiest on the record. It features the hitmaker spit some speedy flows, all while including some nods to anime characters. Because of all of these reasons, it is no surprise that “Otaku Hot Girl” is one of the few tracks to receive a music video.

Unlike the visuals for “BOA”, which are extremely flashy and seamlessly edited, “Otaku Hot Girl” is more of a B-roll. It includes various clips and photos from Megan’s trip to Japan. From trying to the local grub to walking in different stores, it includes it all. There is also a sneak peek of the photo shoot for the Hot Girl Summer Tour promo, which is a cool touch. For Megan, she continues to be at the top of her game. This set of visuals comes after an opening BET Award Show performance and an interview with Shannon Sharpe. This is her world, and we are just existing in it.
