DRAM Teams Up With EVEN Platform To Drop Off A Four-Track EP “BLACK SANTA”

There have been some interesting trends in hip-hop this year. AI technology has been a controversial tool in many music fans’ eyes. It was turning a lot of heads a few months ago when a “Drake” and “The Weeknd” song was going viral online. So much so, that it even was up for GRAMMY consideration. This new movement might be a little more favorable, though, and DRAM is taking part in it.

Born in Germany and raised in Virginia, the 35-year-old diversely talented artist has just teamed up with a rising music platform. EVEN is a website and company based in California that looks to bring fans and musicians closer than ever before. It was founded last year and it is still in its beta stage. Big K.R.I.T. allowed exclusive access to a short project on the site about a week ago.

Pardison Fontaine And Sexyy Red Team Up For Wild Banger “Conceited”

Pardison Fontaine and Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship was a rocky one, to say the least. That is what we gathered after hearing both of their sides of the story. We got some context from Megan first after her huge comeback with her smash single “Cobra.” It was a triumphant moment for her, even garnering some attention from even the staunchest of critics.

Then, on the flip side, we got Pardison’s take on the situation. He came through with his single “THEE PERSON” a few weeks back. According to him, the relationship was in jeopardy because Megan was acting out first. It is safe to say that they just were not right for each other.

We say that because it seems these two have been much happier and have been moving on with their lives. Pardison is enjoying himself after dropping a new EP today, SEXT8PE. It is an eight-track offering that is nearly a total solo trek. However, there is one feature here and it is none other than Sexyy Red. She is hopping on everyone’s projects, as she continues her rise. The song “Conceited” is a raunchy banger about wanting to find the highest value man and woman. It could be Pardison’s next hit, especially with the cool back-and-forth between him and Sexyy.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Conceited,” by Pardison Fontaine and Sexyy Red? Is this the best track from SEXT8PE, why or why not? Are you surprised that Pardison did not place “THEE PERSON” on this project? Which songs are you enjoying right now off this tape? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Tyla Teases A Threesome Of Tracks From Her Upcoming Debut “TYLA”

Sounds that have originated from South Africa have been dominating radio stations, streaming platforms, and playlists. It seems that 2023 has been the year of genres like Afropop, amapiano, house, and Afro house. Honestly, it is a refreshing thing to see. While hip-hop has been near the top for awhile, its been a bit of a slower year, especially for the mainstream artists. So, its the best case scenario for artists like Tyla to emerge and show off what she has to offer.

It is safe to say the South African-born singer has plenty of talent at her disposal. Her ability to hit all sorts of notes is pretty effortless. Many listeners got a taste of that on her viral hit, “Water.” The single recently shot up to the number 10 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Due to its meteoric rise, remixes with Marshmello and Travis Scott have recently released. Now, Tyla is looking to build on this popularity with a handful of new cuts.

Haitian-born producer KAYTRANADA has firmly established himself at this point in his career. Ever since bursting onto the scene back in 2016 with his debut album, 99.9%, his trajectory has only gone up from there. Skepta Teams Up With 19-Year-Old Producer, Ryder, For “48 Hours” EP

Skepta’s career is one of diversity and adaptability. The Tottenham rapper and DJ has experimented a lot over his roughly two-decade-long run in the hip-hop industry. From grime, and trap, to EDM even, the man has many tools in the tool belt. Back in mid-October, the 41-year-old put out a single that saw him bring a new twist to an Amy Winehouse classic, “Tears Dry On Their Own.” The track was retitled as “Can’t Play Myself (A Tribute To Amy).”

That was the most recent addition to Skepta’s new house-focused label, Más Tiempo. The entertainment group is a joint effort with a familiar face from Boy Better Know, Jammer. With all of that going on, he has not been able to put a lot of energy into his solo career. It has been four years since his last effort, Ignorance is Bliss. But, he seems to getting back into it a bit by teaming up with a rising producer, Ryder.

There are two new songs, “All Alone” and “For You” with extra vocals from Dré Six. Queen Naija Shares Some Gorgeous Vocals On Her New EP “After The Butterflies”

Queen Naija is a talented singer, there is no disputing that. She is back to put her skills on full display with a brand-new, 10-track EP, After the Butterflies. Over the course of 2023, Naija had been releasing a single here and there to keep her fans satisfied. One of the songs that had some people talking was a pretty unexpected collaboration with NBA YoungBoy.

“No Fake Love” had the contemporary R&B flare with some surprising well-placed vocals from the Lousiana rapper. His lower tone fit in well with the vibe of the track, and is a reason why it is becoming a hit in her catalog. Little did we know, it would be a single to the new EP we have now. In addition to that feature, Naija also taps some R&B powerhouses.

Drake Fans Thank Joe Budden For “Scary Hours 3”

Drake dropped his eagerly-anticipated new EP Scary Hours 3 recently, delivering six new tracks to his fans. The release came only weeks after the hitmaker unveiled his latest full-length album For All The Dogs, and fans were under the impression that he’d be taking some time off. They were quickly proven wrong, however, and jumped to theorize as to why Drake changed his mind.

Back at the beginning of October, Joe Budden shared his thought on For All The Dogs during an episode of his podcast. He had some harsh words for the LP, revealing that he thought Drake missed the mark. “I miss the Drake that was rapping for the rappers,” he explained.

Fans Think Joe Budden’s Criticism Inspired Drake

Famously, Drake fired back with a lengthy Instagram comment, dragging Budden for his critique. This resulted in a bit of back and forth, subliminal dissing, and more. While some thought Budden went too hard on the Toronto native, others think his criticism was just what Drake needed, and inspired him to drop Scary Hours 3.

The EP’s getting praised on social media for its straightforward bars, which are just what Budden said he felt like For All The Dogs was missing. Of course, he also took some shots at the personality on his track “Stories About My Brothers,” painting a similar picture of Budden that he did in his aforementioned Instagram rant. “Imagine us getting our validation from an ex-musician searching for recognition/ Same story every time, they heckle in repetition/ I’m top of the mountain, these n***as still down at base camp, they planning they expedition,” he spits.

Drake Has Something New On The Way

“I’ll say this to you: I’m not… I feel no need to appease anybody,” Drake says. “I feel so confident about the body of work that I just dropped that I know I could go and disappear for, whatever, six months, a year, two years — even though I’m not really, like, into [laughs] I’m not really into the super lengthy disappearances for the sake of mystery, but… you know, ultimately, it’s coming to me in a way that I haven’t experienced maybe since, like, If You’re Reading This, where it’s just kind of like, I feel like I’m on drugs. I feel like I’m in that mental state without doing anything. I did those songs in the last five days.

“I didn’t have one bar written down for those songs on the night that For All The Dogs dropped. It’s not like I’m picking up from some unfinished sh*t, you know, this is just… it’s happening on its own. And, you know, who am I to fight it, right? And to fight back against the right thing would be… you know.” Let us know how excited you are for the EP, in the comments section below.
