Teezo Touchdown Gets Brutally Honest Thoughts On Drake’s Co-Sign

Teezo Touchdown is becoming one of the greatest success stories in music right now. Over the past two years, his eccentric style and personality have made a lot of people love him. Many listeners most likely first heard his name back in 2021 on one of the biggest mainstream rapper’s projects. He made an appearance on Tyler, The Creator’s, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST. You can find him on the eighth track, “RUNITUP.” But his feature run did not stop there. WESTSIDE BOOGIE grabbed him for his MORE BLACK SUPERHEROES tape in 2022. However, 2023 was the year that really got people’s attention.

Don Toliver got first dibs and brought him on for Love Sick in February. Paris Texas dropped their sophomore effort MID AIR with Teezo being one of two features on it. Finally, arguably the biggest fish in the water yanked Teezo’s line. He and Travis Scott created fireworks on “MODERN JAM” and that was arguably the final turning point for him. Many music fans loved the wild energy and whimsical vocal work he laid down and it is one of the best songs on UTOPIA.

Teezo Touchdown Reflects On Nod From Drake

All of these co-signs have been great for his growth and Drake put the icing on the cake. After hearing Teezo’s debut, How Do You Sleep At Night? Drizzy said, “Tonight I just heard some of the best music ever so I am happy and I will spare you little birdies thanks to @teezotouchdown.” Complex Music interviewed the genre-bending star about it. Teezo was incredibly honored and humbled by the praise, saying “Waking up to that, seeing that. Very high moment.” But, he kept it as real as possible. He also talked about the great amount of hate he got as well. “Literally the highest day of my career was also literally bogged up like, ‘Damn… They not really liking the album.’” But he came to the realization that Drake’s compliments are much more valuable than hundreds of random people saying it is bad. We continue to wish Teezo all the success in the world, especially after his amazing record.

What are your initial thoughts on Teezo Touchdown’s gratitude for Drake’s praise on his debut album, How Do You Sleep At Night? Is Teezo going to be the next avant-garde artist to take over the mainstream? What songs are you enjoying from the project? Is it still in your rotation? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Logic Shares Free Mixtape “Inglorious Basterd”

Logic has now delivered on his promise from last month, releasing his free mixtape, Inglorious Basterd. The man has been a tear in 2023, putting out his own material, as well as falling into a producer role. Back on February 24, Logic unleashed College Park, a 17-song project with a stacked lyrical features list. From wordsmiths such as Bun B, Joey Bada$$, and RZA, the project was a success with fans and some critics.

We also got word back in July that he would be the one exclusively producing Asher Roth’s project. Now, Logic is now here to share his Bandcamp exclusive drop, Inglorious Basterd. On August 16, the Maryland rapper hopped on Instagram to announce that he would have new music out soon. In the caption, he said, “Here is the album artwork for my free mixtape Inglorious Basterd coming soon!! I just dropped the intro song called “Still Pushin” over Lupe Fiasco’s classic “Kick Push” for free for everyone on Discord!! Join and enjoy!! #RattPack.”

For a project full of demos and loosies, this output from Logic is still very enjoyable. While there are no themes or storylines woven throughout, it is cool that we have a large collection of random cuts to see his creative process. He does not just sample the one Lupe song, though. Logic also samples plenty of other classics such as “Started From the Bottom” by Drake, “Backseat Freestyle” by Kendrick Lamar,” “Wolves” by Kanye West, “Hustlin’” by Rick Ross, and plenty more. Definitely give Logic’s new effort listen above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new free mixtape, Inglorious Basterd, from Logic? Do you wish more artists released more free material? Is this Logic’s best release of 2023? City Morgue Is Calling It Quits With Their Final Record Together “My Bloody America”

New York City multi-talents SosMula and ZillaKami are wrapping up their time together. Collectively, they formed the rap and rock duo, City Morgue. As an outfit, they have been putting out music since the latter half of 2018. Their first project, CITY MORGUE VOL 1: HELL OR HIGH WATER, was put out on streaming platforms on October 12, 2018. Since then, City Morgue added two more tapes in that series, with the second installment receiving a deluxe. In between the second and third volumes, they released a project in 2020 called TOXIC BOOGALOO.

All of this hard work has brought us to the first half of September, which is ultimately the send-off for this high-energy pairing. This was confirmed by SosMula back on June 24, 2022, according to Genius. “ZillaKami announced on Instagram that he was on ‘probably on his last City Morgue tour.’” The annotation continues, “A leaker on Instagram had also commented that City Morgue is likely disbanding after they owe to Republic Records. On the same day, SosMula had confirmed on Instagram that the upcoming album will be their final album.”

Listen To My Bloody America From City Morgue

While it is a sad day for fans of this genre-bending group, they certainly went all out with a final hoorah. Two of the singles ahead of this project were “Skull & Bones 322,” and “HAHA WACO.” “Skull & Bones 322” has probably the catchiest tune on the record. This is something you might not attribute to City Morgue’s style, as it is very avant-garde. Their blends of horrorcore, rap, rock, heavy metal, and various others are what captivated many who are into the underground scene.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new album, My Bloody America, from City Morgue? Is this the duo’s best output together? Do you think they are an unheralded combo in the rap scene? Offset Channels His Inner Michael Jackson In The Visual For “Fan”

Offset has been looking to continue his solo career for quite some time. Back in 2019, he gave us Father Of 4, however, he has not delivered a follow-up. However, over the last few months, he has been making it clear that a new project will be dropping very soon. Overall, he is someone who can mix bars and melodies quite nicely, and fans want to hear what he has to say. This is especially true given everything that happened to Takeoff, and his fallout with none other than Quavo.

That said, today, Offset came through with a new single that is meant to help promote this new project, which drops on October 13th. Overall, the song is called “Fan” and it has proven to be a huge success thus far, with fans praising the track for its production and bars. However, perhaps the best part of the new song is its music video. The artist has been diving into choreography as of late, and it has paid dividends. Cardi B is rubbing off on him, and it has culminated in the music video, below.

Earl Sweatshirt And The Alchemist’s New Album Coming To Streaming With New Tracks

Last month, Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist teamed up for a new album. While the pair have worked together on songs in the past this is the first time they’ve ever made an entire album together. The project was called Voir Dire and while it received lots of critical acclaim plenty of fans didn’t get the chance to hear it. That’s because the album was exclusively released on an NFT based music streaming service called Gala.

Now thanks to a new announcement, fans who haven’t heard the record yet know when they’ll be able to give it a try. “You asked for it. VOIR DIRE on all streaming platforms 10/6,” The Alchemist announced in a new Instagram post. The excitement came with layers as well. Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist’s Album Headed For Streaming

The pair will spend November of this year touring behind the record. They’ll hit 11 cities across North America alongside MIKE and Black Noise.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music Radio, Earl confessed to being a very sensitive rapper. “I’m the most sensitive n*gga that’s outside. I’m not going to lie to you. No, that’s what I was saying outside to them. I was like, what if I went in there with Zane Lowe and sat down and just started profusely crying right now. Serious,” he said in the interview.
