Lil Nas X Claps Back At Troll Saying He’s “Fake Gay”

Time and time again, Lil Nas X proves that he’s always got the chops to respond artfully to online haters. Now, he faced some criticism for his Lollapalooza Chile set, although it had nothing to do with the excellent performance itself. One particular tweet made social media rounds alleging that the MONTERO artist is faking his sexuality. “I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine it’s so forced,” the tweet read. Of course, the brain behind “Old Town Road” and so many more hits had a cheeky response up his sleeve.

“Oh no guys it’s the estrogen expert,” he fired off on Saturday morning (March 18). Also, he responded to another comment that suggested a similar close-minded mentality. “One day we will realise that Lil Nas X is not gay,” another tweeter expressed. “He just finessed the LGBT community and got to the bag.” This time around, his response was much more elaborate. “Do I have to give head at 3:45 am behind a McDonalds in Chicago on a Friday night during the middle of pride month while streaming on twitch and IG live for y’all to realize I am really a fruitcake?” he clapped back.

Lil Nas X Responds To Trolls Claiming He’s “Fake Gay”

In fact, these responses to Nas X’s show initially made headlines for how another rapper worked herself into the fray. Moreover, Saweetie liked that first tweet that the “INDUSTRY BABY” singer and rapper responded to about him being “fake gay.” Unsurprisingly, responses to that mere like prompted the “My Type” rapper to clarify her like on Twitter. “He was lookin fine af,” she tweeted shortly after people started noticing her like. “That’s why I liked the video I didn’t see the shadiness …. *unlikes*.”

Meanwhile, most people actually took the set for what it was and praised the unreleased track that Nas X played in the clips that these tweets reference. Furthermore, it’s a Saucy Santana collab titled “Down Souf Hoes” that’s sure to fire up any dance floor when it drops. Honestly, people trying to get under his skin only makes his hilarious responses and personality that much more gratifying. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X.

The MONTERO Star Claps Back Again

Saweetie Explains Liking Shady Tweet Directed At Lil Nas X

Everybody’s been in a situation where we might like a tweet with pictures without reading the caption. Unfortunately for celebrities, that might get you involved in some beef. Saweetie recently explained why she liked a tweet that threw shade at Lil Nas X and his Lollapalooza Chile performance this year. Of course, people took that to mean that she held ill will towards the MONTERO star, or just found the attack on him funny. However, Saweetie clarified her reasoning in a subsequent tweet and denied dissing Lil Nas X.

“I feel like he’s not really gay or not really that feminine it’s so forced,” the shady tweet in question read. While it’s still an assumption, at least it doesn’t stray into legitimately bigoted rhetoric. After many pointed out Saweetie’s like and called her out, she explained in a Twitter message. “He was lookin fine af,” the “Icy Chain” star wrote. “That’s why I liked the video I didn’t see the shadiness …. *unlikes*.” At least she also clarified that it was enough of a dealbreaker to unlike the tweet if it suggested Lil Nas X slander.

Saweetie Clarifies Liking Shady Tweet At Lil Nas X

In other news concerning the 29-year-old, she recently spoke on being referred to as “Queen of the Bay.” Even though she expressed appreciation, she wasn’t quick to agree with the moniker. “I don’t want to self-proclaim the ‘Queen statement.’ When I’m in certain cities or certain areas, they’ll just call me this and call me that. I’ve been called the ‘Queen of California’ and many queen things. It’s not something I’m trying to title, that’s why I had another voice say it on my [Single Life] project. I don’t like it when people self-proclaim.”

Meanwhile, during his Lollapalooza set, the “INDUSTRY BABY” artist debuted a upcoming collab with Saucy Santana, “Down Souf Hoes.” They’ve been performing it since 2022, and fans are clamoring to get a release as soon as possible. Fortunately, both stars are not stopping anytime soon. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X and Saweetie.

Nas Likes To Do This While Touring, Says Tony Yayo

Tony Yayo explained to VladTV what it was like touring with Nas for the Nastradamus promo tour, back in 1999. This was Yayo’s first tour and was there with 50 Cent. He thought that the tour was going to have nothing but partying with women, drugs, and alcohol. While there was plenty of that around thanks to Jungle, Nas was not too interested in it. This was six years into Nas’s career. All of the excitement of tours must have run off of him by then

Instead, Nas was more interested in reading. He really wasn’t smoking that much weed, but instead spent most of the downtime with his nose in a book. Yayo figures that his reading is what made him so good with lyrics. Nine years ago, Nas made an AMA on Reddit and was asked what his favorite book was. The answer was Richard Pryor’s autobiography, Pryor Convictions. He also gave a couple of more suggestions, with Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and Rick James’s memoirs. He appears to have an affinity towards autobiographical books that talk about people’s rough lives, especially if it involves drug abuse. He is not just reading whatever is new and popular, but also going back to try to find new angles for his lyrics.

Nas Loves Books

50 Cent also talked to MTV previously about what Nas was like during this tour. It was the first time that somebody had ever done something for him without wanting something in return. Nas brought 50 along just to hang out on the tour bus. Later, they had a falling out when 50 mocked Nas in 2005 during his song “Piggy Back” for getting a tattoo of his now ex-wife, Kellis.

However, they had since squashed the beef. Last year, 50 even had this to say. “I love Nas. He’s really the one. He is the guy, the lyrical — we was figuring out how to do it.” In a recent interview with Billboard, 50 revealed that he was going to be working with Nas for the upcoming King’s Disease 4 LP. However, we do not know much more about that at this point in time.

[WATCH] Nas Delivers New Video for “30” From ‘King’s Disease III’

King's Disease III

Nas is back in his King’s Disease bag, dropping off the video for “30” from the third edition of the album series.

The Black and white video brings Esco flowing into a room for an up close and personal performance. In addition to his presence, silhouettes of a mob, luxuries in cars and women, and the presence of an owl mark the setting.

Last week, Nas delivered a high-energy performance at The World’s Most Famous Arena. It was his first headlining gig at Madison Square Garden. The event, produced by Live Nation, brought the sold-out crowd to their feet with a 34-song set that included songs from his King’s Disease Trilogy such as “27 Summers,” “Spicy,” and “Michael & Quincy.” In “Reminisce,” he was joined by Mary J. Blige, Slick Rick on “Hello Young World,” and AZ on “Life’s A Bitch.” Nas also sang iconic favorites such as “New York State of Mind,” “1 Mic,” and “If I Ruled the World.”

Nas and Wu-Tang Clan are also taking their joint NY State of Mind Tour across the globe due to popular demand. The 32-date world tour, which is being organized by Live Nation, will begin on May 9 in Auckland, New Zealand, and will make stops in other countries in those regions before coming to an end in North America. Nas Explains Biggie’s Influence On “It Was Written”

It’s been a big week for Nasir Jones, who is fresh off of his sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden. Nas’s latest show came on the heels of the third installment in the King’s Disease series which undoubtedly rejuvenated Nas’s career. Following the Ye-produced Nasir in 2018, he returned to the drawing board with Hit-Boy to create their own wave. That project finally earned the Queensbridge native the first Grammy award of his 30-year career.

The most interesting part of King’s Disease is that Nas didn’t need a single and found a comfort zone that didn’t rely on industry politics. He managed to reach widespread acclaim by returning to his roots as an MC. Maintaining his integrity has always been at the forefront. However, the criticism surrounding the post-Illmatic releases surrounded the mainstream appeal. It Was Written remains one of the most commercially successful projects in Nas’s catalog. Singles like “Street Dreams, “If I Ruled The World,” and “I Gave You Power” turned him into a household name.

Biggie’s Influence On Nas

It Was Written might not have even dropped if it weren’t for Biggie Smalls. Nas explained that he felt the pressure to remain “underground” at the time of It Was Written. He said witnessing songs like “Big Poppa” succeed allowed him to see just how far he could take his career. “… Biggie made it different, where you can’t just be the hot dude that they liked from New York to Connecticut to Virginia. You got to hit the mainstream. You got to touch the world,” he told GQ.

Though he credits the Brooklyn legend for shining light on the possibilities of his career, it wasn’t a one-sided exchange. He said collaborating with Dr. Dre on It Was Written possibly helped open the doors for Biggie and Bone Thugs’ collab. “I feel like that collab [with Dre] brought in the idea, maybe, for things like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Biggie together,” he said. “I didn’t invent it, but it made it more of a thing, like, ‘Hey guys, we’re always so standoffish. You come into my market, I come into your market, and let’s have fun. It’s all a family thing.’”
