NBA Youngboy Requests House Arrest Change, Cites His Mental Health

For more than two years now, NBA Youngboy has been under house arrest in Utah. His situation spawns from a 2020 arrest for firearm and narcotics possession. After a further arrest in Los Angeles where he was found with another firearm, the courts came down hard. From his bail proceedings to his eventual sentencing to house arrest, he hasn’t been afforded much leniency. Consequently, as his sentence is being increasingly discussed publicly by fans, he’s looking for a way to loosen the terms.

According to All Hip Hop in a new statement made by his lawyers, Youngboy explains why he’d like his house arrest terms altered. “Being confined to his home and unable to complete his employment obligations has led to great anxiety, depression, loss of weight and sleep. [NBA YoungBoy] has been visibly stressed and has expressed concern and loss of hope that he will be able to return to his contracted employment obligation,” the lawyer’s statement reads. It’s unclear if it will work as government prosecutors have expressed skepticism in what counts as “employment obligations.” A judge is expected to eventually rule on the request. Youngboy has had fans worried about his mental health on multiple occasions this year. Just last week he posted a somewhat unhinged rant aimed at YouTube for allegedly blackballing him. Subsequently as the video made the rounds online fans expressed concern for the rapper’s wellbeing.

Youngboy has been using his time under house arrest to release a lot of new music. Last week he announced his 4th new album of 2023. Sexyy Red Is Young Thug’s “Twin,” She Says In Post Advocating For His Freedom

One of the funniest and most viral rap comparisons in recent memory centered around two artists in very different phases of their careers. On one hand, we have Sexyy Red: one of a couple of femcees who dominated the game in 2023 and made a significant splash in what feels like record time. On the other, we have Young Thug: a pioneer of trap who is currently behind bars on RICO charges along with various other members of YSL. People already said that they look alike, but it took a little longer for these artists to acknowledge that Internet meme and, most importantly, feel proud of it.

“Free my mf twin,” Sexyy Red quote-tweeted a new picture of Young Thug in court that emerged recently. While some folks think that Thugger gained weight in prison due to this snap, Red is clearly more focused on continuing to highlight his struggles in the prison system. If not that, then at least she has sympathy for him based on their physical similarities. Of course, something else that fans pointed out is that the St. Louis MC’s loyalty to the Atlanta icon is welcome but a tad odd, since she wasn’t popping off back when he was last free.

Regardless, we’re sure that Young Thug appreciates Sexyy Red’s support to some degree. In fact, now that it looks like the RICO trial will finally commence this month following a finalized jury selection process, support for Thug and YSL is more important than ever. It’s unclear as of press time whether the court found its final jurors, though, although they had a mission to reach a conclusion this week. Still, the trial’s expected start date remains at November 27, and if this pans out, it will be a massive development.

Furthermore, we’re sure that the rap community will be front and center to witness the RICO case with a lot of empathy and attention. Accountability and responsibility are priorities, but in such a contentious, deeply antagonistic, and notoriously complex and messy trial like this, many fans lost hope that these values will be achieved either way. Joe Budden Remains Composed After Cesar Pina’s Brother Pulls Up On Him: Watch

Joe Budden has been very vocal about the DJ Envy and Cesar Pina situation. As we have reported extensively, Pina is being accused of running a real estate fraud scheme. Furthermore, Envy is implicated in all of this due to the fact that he was a big promoter of Pina’s business. They even did seminars together which has subsequently furthered the allegations. As for Budden, he felt like all of this was a scam from the beginning. He even told Envy that during a phone call.

“I think this is very very severe,” Budden said on a previous podcast. “I’m not certain I’m not certain how big this is but I think it’s going to be way bigger than this. I’ve been telling you and you that for months. I think this is barely scratching the f*cking surface and I’m giving grace by just reporting on this.” Recently, however, Joe Budden found himself in an odd situation. In the video below, you can see that Cesar Pina’s brother pulled up on the former rapper. However, nothing really came of it.

Budden was outside of an establishment with a woman and was also smoking a cigarette. However, the man interrupted Budden and was clearly very annoyed. The person behind the camera was only looking to antagonize Joe and didn’t even press him in a meaningful way. Eventually, Joe said to get the camera out of his face. He subsequently protected his guest from the man and walked back inside the establishment.

Based on various reactions on social media, it is clear that Budden was in the right here. 50 Cent Is Going To ‘Focus On Creating Music’ After His ‘Final Lap Tour’ Concludes

50 Cent is currently on his Final Lap Tour. Yet, in a new interview with Europa 2 (via HotNewHipHop), the rapper revealed that he isn’t slowing down any time soon. Although he’s been on the road since July, playing shows across the globe, he also will be treating fans to some new music very soon.

“When I’m not moving around and I’m not touring and doing things, it’s going to permit me to focus on creating music,” 50 shared, hinting that he spends his downtime in the studio. “You’ll get a little more of what you get from Dr. Dre and Eminem from me at that point.”

While 50 didn’t exactly share much else about his new music or a potential album beyond that, it is nice to know that it’s still being planned. His last record was back in 2014 with Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire To Win — making next year a full decade since that.

However, he has stayed busy in recent years with other creative endeavors. 50 has been a co-creator in the Power television franchise, as well as shows like BMF, Raising Kanan, and Ghost. He also joined the Expendables movie franchise, appearing as a new character in Expendables 4 earlier this year.

One thing is for sure: he is very very busy.

Lil Pump Hit With New Debt Lawsuit After Paying Back $1.6 Million To The IRS

Lil Pump has seemingly been having a resurgence as of late. However, it’s not exactly for musical reasons. Instead, he has been finding himself on numerous in-real-life streams. The likes of Sneako, Adin Ross, N3on, and Fousey have been around Pump on stream. With his music taking a bit of a nosedive in terms of sales, he has pivoted to the online streaming space. After all, it is a pretty lucrative space to be in. There are tons of young fans looking to see what you will do next, and Pump has always been about the antics.

Speaking of antics, in a recent performance, Pump found himself cheering on Donald Trump. He was at Ole Miss when he started a “We Want Trump” chant. He has been on stage with the former President in the past, so this should not have been much of a surprise. Regardless, Pump is back on the political circuit, despite the current climate. Now, however, Pump is facing a lawsuit from IPFS Corporation, according to Radar Online.

Lil Pump Called Out

As the report explains, Pump originally owed a debt of $85,000. He has been paying off this debt and only has a little over $8K to go. However, he allegedly hasn’t continued with his payment schedule. Moreover, there have been legal fees at play here, and the corporation is looking to get that money back. This has led to a lawsuit in which the company wants the debt and legal fees paid to them as soon as possible.

Recently, Pump had to pay off a $1.6 million debt from the IRS. He was able to do it thanks to the sale of his Miami home. Moreover, she recently confessed that she had a spat with Coi Leray over a failed collab and proximity to her then-boo, Blueface, that resulted in Rock throwing her phone in Coi’s face. From what the Zeus Network darling expressed on The Jason Lee Show in a new bombshell interview, it seems like the Massachusetts MC was being “fake” in her eyes, trying to pretend like there were no tensions between them. Sounds like she just didn’t want to take it that far, but alas, Rock had business to stand on.

“I thought she wanted to do a collab on some music, but really she was just trying to out me out the plan and bag my n***a and some other s**t,” Chrisean Rock expressed. “I’m like, ‘You can have [him], I just want the verse.’…We fell out because she wanted what she wanted. Lady Leshurr Found Not Guilty For Attacking Ex, Is Relieved But Fears Her Career Is Over

Just a couple of weeks ago, UK rapper Lady Leshurr was recently accused by her ex. The reason she was in court was because of Sidnee Hussein, and her then-partner, Chante Boyea. This happened around the same time last year, on October 22, 2022. According to HipHopDX, the altercation went down when Leshurr reportedly bit her ex’s girlfriend on the hand after she stopped in her car. Then when Leshurr’s ex came out of the house to break it up, the rapper reportedly attacked her as well.

There was a chance that the two accusers were lying. The prosecutor claimed the defendants did so with the police. In addition to that, their account did not really explain the injuries. Well, we now have confirmation that Leshurr is a free woman after a year-long battle. She addressed her situation in a recent Instagram post. Leshurr was extremely grateful for it to be over. However, even with that, she believes her career is over for good.

Fabolous Recalls DJ Envy Calling Him With Real Estate Opportunity

Fabolous is an artist who has been extremely successful over the years. Although as someone with money, there are those who seek some of that green. Recently, it was revealed that DJ Envy had actually called Fab about potentially investing in real estate. However, as we know now, the real estate investments that Envy was touting weren’t too great. Instead, his business partner Cesar Pina has been arrested on wire fraud charges. Furthermore, some are accusing Envy of being the catalyst for a lot of Pina’s success.

That said, those who were approached by Envy, are now speaking out. For instance, Jeremy Hecht of HipHopDX recently spoke to Fab and asked him about the call with Envy. In the video below, you can see how that conversation went down. In Fab’s mind, he never thought it was a scam or some sort of fraud scheme. Instead, it was just someone presenting an opportunity. Regardless, Fabolous was never all that interested.

“He was tellin’ me about some real estate stuff,” Fabolous recalled. “I’m just a guy that gotta see things through a little bit more. I don’t just get hyped at … y’know, it be a lotta ‘get money’ — I don’t want to call it a scam or a scheme — but a lotta ‘get money’ ideas that come to you, so I just gotta see ’em through. So even with that phone call, I was like, ‘Aight,’ but I wasn’t like, ‘Sign me up, [who] do I give my money to?’ Y’know what I mean, and I didn’t really hear back from [him].”

SZA Twerks On Stage During “Rich Baby Daddy” Performance: Watch

Just last month, SZA ended up being featured twice on Drake’s new album. Of course, the first collaboration was on “Slime You Out” which proved to be a huge first single. Subsequently, she was also on the song “Rich Baby Daddy” which just so happens to come complete with a feature from Sexyy Red. It is one of the best tracks on the entire project, and fans absolutely adore it. Needless to say, it should come as no surprise that SZA is performing this song at live shows.
