SZA Is Not Bothered Losing AOTY Award At Grammys: “Only Way From Up Is Higher”

SZA had another solid outing at the Grammys this past weekend, taking home three awards. The Missouri-born R&B superstar won Best R&B Song for “Snooze,” and Best Urban Contemporary Album for SOS. Additionally, SZA would snag the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for “Ghosts in the Machine” with Phoebe Bridgers. However, there is one trophy that every artist wants to add to their collection. That would be the Album Of The Year. SZA was going up against some stiff competition. Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, and of course Taylor Swift.

Expectedly, Taylor and her Swifties were able to celebrate another win as she took home the honors. While it might be a little disappointing for SZA, she is moving on from it. In fact, she has no ill will toward the Recording Academy or anyone else. TMZ even said that SZA and Taylor were chopping it up and enjoying each other’s company at the award show.

Cardi B Taken Aback By Custom Made Book From Her Fans For Christmas

The latter half of 2023 for Cardi B has not been an easy one. Her outbursts have warranted some concern and hatred toward the New York hitmaking MC. Additionally, her on-and-off relationship with her “husband” Offset has come to another end recently. Speculation around their newest split came after the two unfollowed each other on social media and it turned out to be true.

Cardi has sent repeated shots with her most recent one twerking to Sexyy Red’s “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).” However, she put her differences aside this Christmas to celebrate with her and Offset’s kids. She went all out, as both got their own special trees and loads of gifts and goodies. Cardi was also granted a kind gesture this holiday season from her biggest supporters.

Lady Leshurr Found Not Guilty For Attacking Ex, Is Relieved But Fears Her Career Is Over

Just a couple of weeks ago, UK rapper Lady Leshurr was recently accused by her ex. The reason she was in court was because of Sidnee Hussein, and her then-partner, Chante Boyea. This happened around the same time last year, on October 22, 2022. According to HipHopDX, the altercation went down when Leshurr reportedly bit her ex’s girlfriend on the hand after she stopped in her car. Then when Leshurr’s ex came out of the house to break it up, the rapper reportedly attacked her as well.

There was a chance that the two accusers were lying. The prosecutor claimed the defendants did so with the police. In addition to that, their account did not really explain the injuries. Well, we now have confirmation that Leshurr is a free woman after a year-long battle. She addressed her situation in a recent Instagram post. Leshurr was extremely grateful for it to be over. However, even with that, she believes her career is over for good.

“For the past year I’ve been battling a court case from people that accused me of stalking, harassing, and biting them but I was the victim. I was attacked and bitten by a dog and made out to be the aggressor. For a whole year people have deserted me, dropped me from deals, and didn’t want to work with me anymore. For a whole year I have had no income. For a whole year I’ve had to be silent and let articles and the media slander and defame my character. Today has been judgment day. I’m shaking whilst I write this. My brand/career has been ruined regardless no matter the outcome, but at least I have a clean record and can FINALLY get on with my life.”

What are your initial thoughts on Lady Leshurr being not guilty of attacking her ex? Do you agree with her that her career is still over? Does her message rub you the right way? E-40 And City Of Vallejo Finalize Street Name In His Honor

E-40’s legacy should always be remembered amongst all rap fans. His contributions to the genre, especially to the West Coast sound, have been vital to the growth of it. Since his career took off in the 1990s, E-40 has given us plenty of classic tracks like, “Captain Save a H**,” “Tell Me When to Go,” and so many others to name. Born Earl Stevens on November 15, 1967, in Vallejo, California, the rapper now further cements his legacy with a well-deserved honor. A short time ago, HipHopDX discovered that E-40 official got a street named after him.

Around early August, news was circulating that he was going to be receiving a street under his name. Now, it is finally official as of yesterday. E-40 took the time to thank his hometown for the prestigious acknowledgment of his career. The icon posted a picture of him next to the new street sign on his Instagram.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to have my childhood street in Vallejo named after me! Don’t ever give up on your dreams! Thank you to the @CityofVallejo.” On top of this, he also got the key to Vallejo. It is just the second time in the city’s 173-year existence that they have given out the key. Finally, the most special part about this, is that the street is the one E-40 grew up on and tne unveiling took place right in front of the home he grew up in. Truly, this is an incredible full-circle moment for him and we at HNHH congratulates him for this amazing accomplishment.

What are your initial thoughts on E-40 getting a street name in his honor in Vallejo, California? Is he deserving of this recognition? What is your favorite E-40 album and song?
