Chief Keef “Almighty So 2” First Week Sales Numbers Revealed

Chief Keef’s Almighty So 2 is one of those rare cases in which a mythical album actually lives up to the hype set by an artist’s die-hards. However, while fans definitely hold him in high regard, the charts are not as forgiving, and thus many were curious as to how the project would perform. As it turns out, Almighty So 2 cracked the Billboard 200’s top 30, and debuted with almost 23,000 units sold in its first week of release. Sure, it’s not a show-stopping performance, but it’s still amazing to see records like that and Knocked Loose’s new album appear alongside chart dominators like Drake’s For All The Dogs and Travis Scott’s UTOPIA.

Furthermore, a lot of Chief Keef fans took to the comments section of the Instagram post below to sing their praises for Almighty So 2. With songs like “Runner,” “Believe,” “Neph Nem,” and “Grape Trees,” there’s plenty of quality to go around and enough moments of levity to break up the relentless bangers. There hasn’t really been one particular hit off of the album, but most of the tracklist is getting its due flowers. Even if it doesn’t go up commercially from here, we’re sure that it will stay in listeners’ rotation for 2024.

Billie Eilish Parties To Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Drake Diss

It seems like, after her listening party for her new album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Billie Eilish went out to have a great time with some friends. Inadvertently (and unsurprisingly, given that it’s the number one song in the U.S. right now), she then “took a side” in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef, as she partied to the latter’s “Not Like Us” diss track against the former. It’s a small clip and just one of some friends hanging out, but people will probably still make their assumptions and jokes about the whole endeavor. Even some OVO die-hards out there can’t deny that this cut might have a longer shelf life than the average diss track.

Still, this development is particularly interesting because of the history between Billie Eilish and Drake in particular. For those unaware, she had revealed that they texted each other when she was still underage, and then defended The Boy against criticism insinuating an inappropriate relationship or advance. “The Internet is such a stupid-a** mess right now,” the Los Angeles artist told Vogue. “Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the Internet should be more worried about. Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f**k is that s**t?”

Billie Eilish Vibes Out To “Not Like Us”

Millie Bobby Brown, who Drake also had text message exchanges with, expressed a similar sentiment when he faced scrutiny for this before the Billie Eilish situation. Of course, this all carries a different context now with the Kendrick Lamar beef in mind, and especially with a song that makes such heavy accusations in as catchy of a way as “Not Like Us” does. While we probably won’t hear a specific statement from Billie Eilish on that anytime soon, it would also be unfair to just assume her feelings based on what a DJ put on at a function.

Meanwhile, “Not Like Us” continues to impress both critically and commercially, so it’s likely that Billie Eilish will hear it at least a couple more times while on a night out. Perhaps that’s the biggest oddity about the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle’s fallout: seeing the rest of the industry react or shy away. Maybe there isn’t much to break down here. But as we wait to see if this is really the end, we can’t imagine how this wouldn’t be a big point of context for fans of either side as their careers move forward this year, and the next one, and the next one.

Kim Porter’s Alleged Friend Kola Boof Claims Pneumonia Can Be “Faked So Easily”

Yesterday, CNN exclusively released some disturbing footage of Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie, which has since gone viral. In the footage, the Bad Boy Records founder seemingly kicks the songstress after pulling her to the ground at a hotel in 2016, then attempts to drag her back to his room. He’s yet to address the graphic footage, though Cassie’s lawyer Douglas H. Wigdor issued a statement shortly after it surfaced. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” he said via email. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

As the footage made its rounds online, a post by Sudanese author, poet, and activist Kola Boof started to trend on Twitter/X. In her post, Boof alleged that she was a friend of Diddy’s ex-partner Kim Porter before her 2018 passing. She made various shocking claims about Porter and Diddy’s relationship, accusing him of multiple forms of abuse.

Kola Boof Accuses Diddy Of Abusing Kim Porter

Boof also went on to insinuate that Diddy could have allegedly had something to do with Porter’s death. Two months after her passing, the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office confirmed that Porter died from pneumonia. There have since been countless conspiracy theories accusing Diddy of being involved in her unexpected death, which are all completely unconfirmed.

“Pneumonia can be faked so easily by a Doctor or by The Morgue,” Boof wrote. “Please read up on this. She was about to turn in a book she wrote about her life & she suddenly DIES at just 47.” What do you think of Kola Boof insinuating that Diddy could have allegedly had something to do with Kim Porter’s untimely death? What about her accusing him of abusing the late model throughout their relationship? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss Songs Reportedly Earned The Rapper Six-Figures In Streaming Income

Kendrick Lamar’s musical melee with Drake has finally ended. However, its impact can still be felt — not only across the charts, but apparently in Lamar’s pockets.

According to HITS Daily Double, across Lamar’s fiery tracks, in just this week (week ending 5/09), he supposedly pulled in an estimated $562,368. In the age of streaming, several musicians (such as Snoop Dogg) have expressed their frustrations with each platform’s pay model. On the flip side, for Lamar the feud has seemingly proven to be lucrative, specifically in relation to his streaming income.

Not Like Us” alone reportedly grossed a total streaming revenue of $264,325 (58,739,000 counted streams). The second highest streamed (45,755,00) solo diss track from Lamar, “Euphoria,” is estimated to have earned $205,896. Lastly, with a total stream count of 20,478,00, Lamar’s “Meet The Grahams” supposedly brought in $92,147.

According to the outlet, the track to set it all off, Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That,” also generated a pretty penny. With 29,978,000 counted streams, that track is estimated to have generated $134,900 in streaming income alone.

Now, these numbers could fluctuate based on Lamar’s royalty percentages (sound recording, mechanical rights, and the performance rights). Still, even if the final number dropped significantly, this is quite a massive payout for essentially airing out your grievances. Most people have to pay a therapist big bucks for that.

Metro Boomin Is A Fan Of Rod Wave Requesting “Future Type” Beats

Rod Wave wants to get out of the sad bag he’s built much of his career off of, as he recently asked the producer community via Twitter to fire him up a little more. “Stop sending me dem sad a** beats dat s**t ova I need some future type s**t,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. Fortunately, the Florida artist’s message, even though he took it down eventually, reached one of the most experienced scholars when it comes to Pluto’s instrumentals: Metro Boomin. “let’s goooooooo,” he quote-tweeted Wave’s words with a fire emoji, which made the likelihood of a more hype collab in the future a much more attainable prospect.

Furthermore, Metro Boomin knows exactly what Future-type beats sound like, as the legendary duo just released two very successful albums full of them this year. Maybe Rod Wave is looking for a specific type of Hendrix, as there are many different eras and styles to consider. Is he a Monster, a WZRD, a Hndrxx defender, a DS2 soldier, or does he love the throwback vibes on Astronaut Status? Either way, seeing a switch-up from the Nostalgia creative would be a very welcome change of pace, especially with the inspiration from a pioneer and icon in mind.

Metro Boomin Is Excited At The Thought Of Rod Wave Over Future-Type Production

However, Metro Boomin wasn’t as excited on social media before this due to a bizarre, brief, but still disrespectful beef with Soulja Boy. He took issue with the producer joking about him in a tweet from over ten years ago, and proceeded to invoke Metro’s deceased mother’s memory on Mother’s Day. Needless to say, things got pretty ugly, and it seems like 21 Savage took it upon himself to defend his Savage Mode series partner. Soulja’s since apologized, but it seems like the remnants of this petty callout will still haunt him in the form of the Slaughter Gang CEO.

Meanwhile, speaking of old tweets, Metro Boomin caught a lot of heat for the inappropriate nature of some of his old remarks, especially when compared to his clowning of Drake over similarly lewd topics. It’s been a weird few weeks on social media for him, but maybe a Rod Wave collab would get him right back on track. We’ll see whether these two actually link up in the future. If not, then producers will nonetheless flood inboxes, trying to replicate Pluto’s gravity.

Drake Puts All His Chips On Tyson Fury With Massive Bet On Oleksandr Usyk Fight

Drake may have just lost a battle to Kendrick Lamar in fans’ eyes, but he’s placing big bets on another fight that, instead of losing him power or respect, will only lose him one thing if it misses: money. Moreover, he placed $565,000 via Stake on Tyson Fury to beat Oleksandr Usyk in their upcoming heavyweight championship match on Saturday night (May 18), which will crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999. If The Boy is successful in his bet on this Saudi Arabia-located match, he would win a payout of $1 million. So it’s all in for the OVO mogul, and we’ll see what happens in the ring to lift or plummet his spirits.

For those unaware, boxing fans looked forward to this match-up for a long time, especially after a delay back in February due to Tyson Fury’s training injury. However, some fans are also wary of whether or not the mythical and confirmation bias-heavy “Drake curse” will strike again. For those unaware, it’s a joke that the Toronto superstar often backs the losing team across sports, although he has more victories than people would like to give him credit for. If nothing else, at least he gambles on everyone with the same level of stakes and respect, so it’s all on the biggest stage for him.

Drake Bets Over $500K On Tyson Fury, Could Win $1 Million

Beyond this upcoming bout, Drake also has some other things to look forward to for 2024, including an invite to Michael Rubin’s White Party. It’s a massive annual celebrity bash full of A-listers, so we don’t doubt that it will provide some curious moments and narratives like it does every year. Most of all, it will be a nice reprieve after the absolute onslaught that was the Kendrick Lamar battle. Even the 6ix God needs a Sunday or two to rest, let alone after a pummeling.

Meanwhile, people are still chiming in on who won the beef, although public consensus seems decidedly in Kendrick Lamar’s favor. But Drake didn’t go down as many others in previous rap beefs have, and we’re sure he still has the fire to throw out subliminals and continue to focus on his flexing. Maybe the future will hold more developments in their rivalry. Still, we wouldn’t bet on anything as large-scale, relentless, or brutal as the past few weeks happening again.

Nicki Minaj Side-Eyes AI Cover Of “Super Bass” Online

Nicki Minaj is not the biggest fan of A.I. technology in music, and as such, fans can’t tell whether a recent tweet is her joking or not. Moreover, she recently reacted on Twitter to an artificial intelligence-generated cover of her hit song “Super Bass,” but in the style of 1970s soul and funk. “I hate yall so bad for this,” Queen Barb quote-tweeted the cover itself, and it’s kind of hard to tell whether she’s serious or she’s joking. After all, sometimes that language isn’t as mean as it comes across on paper, but it’s also entirely possible that she’s tired of seeing A.I. take over in this way.

Furthermore, it’s very understandable why Nicki Minaj would want her classics preserved, especially in the face of edits without her approval. That being said, it’s very clear to see that no one, whether it’s a person or an A.I. generated creation, will be able to replace her sheer energy and passion. These are the kinds of qualities that make the ongoing Pink Friday 2 world tour a record-breaking and wondrous run for fans, which they couldn’t be happier with. No matter how hard the computer tries, it will never be able to capture crowds’ imaginations, joys, and spirits quite like that.

Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj is also defending herself with words, not just with her astonishments, like her current legal action against a blogger over defamatory comments. The social media user allegedly accused her of being a “cokehead” all the way back around 2022, when the lawsuit emerged. The Trinidadian MC requested a status update on the case, as apparently the defendant took a long time to reply and still didn’t meet an extension. In addition, she accused the blogger of unfulfilled compliance with discovery requests.

Meanwhile, there are some other legal issues on Nicki Minaj’s horizon right now, but it seems like they will all stay pretty controlled. It’s not like any of them have been able to stop the Pink Friday 2 world tour’s success, nor its headliner’s massive reach. But what could one day get in the way is if A.I. technology runs rampant and cheats musicians out of their likeness, voice, image, and therefore money. And it doesn’t look like Roman will let that happen.

Kendrick Lamar To Purchase $40 Million Los Angeles Home After Drake Beef

Kendrick Lamar is reportedly taking a victory lap after fans declared his victory in the Drake beef, and what better place to do it than his home city? Moreover, according to the Wall Street Journal and AllHipHop, he agreed to buy a house in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles for over $40 million. It’s a 16,000-square-foot home from a trust connected to Viet Dinh, former chief legal and policy officer for the Fox Corporation. Reportedly, the Compton rapper would be paying over twice as much for the property than what the previous owners paid for it in 2019, which was $19.5 million.

Furthermore, this comes after Kendrick Lamar’s Brooklyn apartment came up as a jab during the Drake beef, specifically on Drizzy’s “Family Matters.” While these claims also linked to infidelity accusations surrounding his partner Whitney Alford, many fans believe based on Instagram posts that she also moved to this apartment. However, it’s unclear who is moving into this new home, as they keep their personal and private endeavors pretty close to the chest. We know thanks to albums like Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers that their complex relationship remains a supportive and caring one.

Meanwhile, Drake’s Toronto home also came up in this feud, but less on wax and more in general. Kendrick Lamar featured his house on the “Not Like Us” cover art, along with Photoshopped child sex offender pins placed on top of it. Also, it was unfortunately a victim of a shooting in the Bridle Path neighborhood recently, which left one security guard shot and in the hospital. At press time, the motive, method, and connection behind this scare hasn’t been confirmed, so it’s worthless to speculate on whether this rap battle had anything to do with it.

In any case, it seems like Kendrick Lamar has a new home to enjoy in Los Angeles as his West Coast anthem continues to enjoy massive hit status. Whether or not this is the end of the Drake beef is a question we won’t be able to answer for at least a few months. Or at least, until someone throws the first subliminal the other’s way. We’ll see what happens with rap’s biggest battle in decades.

Cassie Allegedly Hides From Diddy Under Blanket In Resurfaced Footage

Yesterday (May 17), CNN released exclusively obtained footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie at a hotel. In the footage, the Bad Boy Records founder seemingly kicks her multiple times, later attempting to drag her back to their room. The disturbing footage is now making its rounds online, and unsurprisingly, many think it’s the smoking gun the public needed to make up their minds about the mogul.

For those who don’t recall, Cassie sued Diddy late last year, accusing him of sexual assault, domestic violence, and more. The footage appears to corroborate some of her allegations, though the suit was settled almost immediately after she filed. The now-viral footage of Diddy and Cassie’s hotel incident may not be the only evidence out there pointing to his alleged abuse, however.

More Disturbing Diddy Footage Surfaces

In a resurfaced clip circulating on social media, Diddy shouts at someone hiding under a blanket, who many speculate could be Cassie. It’s unconfirmed whether or not she’s the individual under the blanket, though commenters find the clip unnerving, regardless of who it may be. At the time of writing, it’s unclear exactly when the footage was originally posted online, but it’s included in posts as far back as 2019.

Diddy has yet to address the footage that surfaced yesterday, though Cassie’s lawyer Douglas H. Wigdor promptly issued a statement. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” he said via email.
