Diddy Accused Of Multiple Sexual Assaults In New Lawsuit

Diddy’s reputation as a monster has already been well-established. In May 2024 alone, the mogul has been caught beating his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, on video, and sued by an ex-model who claims he drugged and assaulted her in 2003. There’s not much more that needs to be done to convince the public that he’s a bad person. That being said, the horror stories keep surfacing. Diddy has been hit with another lawsuit, according to TMZ. The Bad Boy founder is being accused, yet again, of drugging and assault a woman at a party.

The woman in question is April Lampros. She was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, which is where Diddy offered to serve as a mentor. Lampros states in her suit that she met the mogul at a SoHo bar in 1995. She claims the mogul “plied her with alcohol” and promptly brought her back to his room at the Millennium Hotel. She then accused the mogul of sexually assaulting her while she was drunk and unable to defend herself. Lampros recalled waking up the next morning “nude, sore and confused.”

April Lampros Alleges Multiple Diddy Encounters In The 90s

Lampros agreed to meet with Diddy several months later. In an attempt to explain her thought process, Lampros’ lawyer described her as a “hopeful yet naive college student and took Mr. Combs at his word and believed that the first rape was a possible mulligan and decided to give him a second chance.” She claimed that Diddy once again forced himself on her. In a third incident, taking place in 1996, Lampros alleged that the mogul forced her to take ecstasy and perform sexual acts on his girlfriend at the time, Kim Porter. Another assault followed. Lampros said she finally broke things off with Diddy two years later.

April Lampros is suing Diddy for damages and attorney’s fees. In addition to the mogul, however, she’s listing Bad Boy Records, Arista and Sony Music Entertainment as defendants. Her rationale is that these labels enabled Diddy to commit his heinous crimes. She also claimed that her refusal to continue seeing Diddy resulted in her losing her job, and being blacklisted within the fashion world. Neither Diddy nor his legal team have responded to the lawsuit.

Who Is The Voice On ‘Why Won’t the Sun Come Out?’ From Vince Staples’ ‘Dark Times’ Album?

Vince Staples is having a hell of a year. Earlier this year, the Long Beach rapper repped his hometown on Netflix’s The Vince Staples Show, a semi-autobiographical series following him in different scenarios in his day-to-day life. Tonight (May 23), Staples dropped Dark Times — his eighth studio album and his final album on Def Jam.

Like all of Staples’ projects, Dark Times is very cinematic in tone, but this time, Staples’ storytelling is sharper than ever.

The album ends with an outro called “Why Won’t The Sun Come Out?” — an anecdote recited by Staples, but another artist.

Who is the voice on “Why Won’t the Sun Come Out?” from Vince Staples’ Dark Times album?

At the end of Dark Times, fans hear a woman ruminating on creativity, spirituality, love, sexuality, and violence. The woman also details a haunting dream she once had, as Staples faintly repeats the phrase “Why won’t the sun come out?”

The woman in question is New York singer, songwriter, and rapper Santigold. This mark the second time the two have worked together — the first being on “Give It All,” a 2017 collaboration with LA music group, With You.

You can listen to “Why Won’t The Sun Come Out?” above.

Dark Times is out now via Def Jam/Blacksmith. Find more information here.

Central Cee And Lil Baby Ball Out In The UK In Their New ‘BAND4BAND’ Video

Central Cee and Lil Baby are arguably the biggest rappers in their territories right now. Repping the UK and the ATL, respectively, the two have proven track records of delivering the heat. And as they join forces, the two level up in their lives of luxury with their new collaboration, “BAND4BAND.”

Over a UK drill beat, the two boast about their lavish lifestyles. But while they don’t second guess the idea of balling out for themselves, they make sure to take care of the crew that’s been with them all the way.

“I’m not in the mood cah my flight delayed / So I jumped on a private jet and I’m askin’ the pilot the ETA / Lambo’ parked on the landin’ strip, everyone in my gang and my DJ paid,” raps Cench in the song’s opening verse.

Meanwhile, Lil Baby reminds us that even though he has elevated to superstar status now, he still hasn’t forgotten where he came from.

“I done got rich, but I’m still with the sh*t / land in London and go to the ends,” Baby raps on his verse.

In the song’s accompanying video, Baby and Cench are seen traveling across the world, flying on private jets and embarking on shopping sprees.

ASAP Rocky’s Alleged Shooting Trial Gets Official Start Date

Today, a judge scheduled an official date for the beginning of ASAP Rocky’s upcoming trial, after he pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree assault involving a semi-automatic firearm in January. The charges come from a 2021 incident that allegedly took place outside of a hotel in Hollywood. He’s accused of pointing a gun at his former childhood friend and collaborator ASAP Relli, shooting in his direction various times, and grazing his hand once.

Superior Court Judge Karla Kerlin determined that preliminary hearings will take place on June 28 and August 2 of this year, and the trial will officially begin on October 21. ASAP Rocky was not present in court when she made her decision. Kerlin’s ruling comes after Judge ML Villar ruled that there is sufficient evidence for the rapper to stand trial, despite his attorneys pushing back.

In court today, Kerlin also noted that ASAP Rocky has until July 19 to file a planned motion to dismiss the case. After the performer entered his not-guilty pleas earlier this year, his lawyer Joe Tacopina appeared confident in his ability to prove his client’s innocence and indicated that they wouldn’t be seeking a plea deal. “We’re going to try the case in the courtroom,” he told reporters at the time. “And when we do, facts will come out that show that he’s truly innocent. And that he’s a victim in this case.”

What do you think of ASAP Rocky’s upcoming trial getting an official start date at the end of October? What about the charges he’s facing? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Post Malone Teases New Country Collab With Blake Shelton

Post Malone has pushed hip-hop into some interesting directions. He got his start as a crooning rapper, but the more time passes, and the more ambitious he becomes, the harder it gets to categorize his style. We’re talking about an artist who has collabs with both Justin Bieber and Ozzy Osborne. A guy who just put out a smash single with Morgan Wallen. It should then come as no surprise that the next artist Post Malone has in mind for a collaboration is country superstar Blake Shelton.

Post Malone shared a video of the untitled collab on his Instagram. The video footage sees the artist crack open a beer and vibe out in a recording studio, while the audio gives us our first hint of what his and Shelton’s voices sound like together. Spoiler: they sound pretty good. The song has an uptempo party feel, which plays to the strengths of both artists. It falls within the wheelhouse of their lyrical focuses, which is partying and having a good time (when it’s not about being heartbroken).

Post Malone Teased His Uptempo Country Hit On IG

“Somebody pour me a drink, somebody bum me a smoke,” Malone and Shelton sing in unison. “I’m ’bout to get on a buzz/ I’m ’bout to get on a roll. I’ve been breaking my back, just keepin’ up with the Joneses.” It’s ironic that Post Malone’s credibility with country fans has been bolstered by the likes of Wallen and Blake Shelton, given that he was one of the features on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter album. The fact that Queen Bey felt his inclusion was warranted only speaks to his impressive blurring of genre lines.

Post Malone has been vocal about his love for country music in the past. The “White Iverson” rapper told podcast host Joe Rogan that it’s one of his favorite genres. He made a point of drawing the line between traditional country and some of the radio-friendly stuff, though.

“The whole Johnny Cash… he always sang murder ballads,” Malone noted. “It’s the old school production, it’s the old school voice. And I find a lot of the time in country now, it’s very overproduced… Whenever I’m listening to that [country], it makes me feel like I’m a hard a*s.” We’re curious to see how the artist threads the needle between this old school country and the radio-friendly music he makes.

Mach-Hommy Criticizes Spotify For Deleting His Latest Album

Mach-Hommy was riding high off the release of his new album, RICHAXXHAITIAN. It’s the biggest release of his career thus far, and has been met with universal praise from critics and fans. It looked destined to be the rapper’s best-selling release, but something went wrong. Mach-Hommy issued a public service announcement to his fans on May 23rd, claiming that Spotify dropped the ball with the rollout. Not only is the album no longer available on the platform, but Mach-Hommy is not seeing any payment from the days it actually was.

The former Griselda rapper posted his 15-minute PSA to X (formerly Twitter). He held up a newspaper with the date, then proceeded to break down Spotify’s failings. “This past Monday, I woke up to several messages informing me that my album was compromised,” he explained. “I get with my team, we start looking at stuff, then sh*t look weird. We realize, oh sh*t, there’s no album. The album is gone. It’s gone off Spotify, which is kind of wild.” Mach-Hommy reached out to Spotify to figure out what went wrong, but more questions arose. “They say they thought it was me who took it down,” he explained.

Mach-Hommy Also Experienced YouTube Issues

The rapper asserted that he did not take RICHAXXHAITIAN down. More importantly, though, he asked why he wasn’t contacted by Spotify about the missing album. “Well, regardless of whether or not you thought it was me or not,” he recalled asking. “Why were we not notified, or at least someone from my team? This is a new release. I just dropped this.” Mach-Hommy then revealed that he ran into a similar issue on YouTube, where he was unable to change his profile or upload new videos. “They tell you they don’t know what’s going on,” he noted. “They’ve investigated it for ten plus days. The ticket has been escalated all over the departments.”

Mach-Hommy has yet to determine the cause of both situations. He did, however, shower his fans with praise. Despite the Spotify and YouTube complications, RICHAXXHAITIAN went number one on iTunes hip-hop charts. “If that ain’t love, I don’t know what is,” he asserted. “I really appreciate that sh*t… For me, I was informed by that move y’all made. I was inspired by that.”

The rapper encouraged fans to continue streaming his new album on Apple Music, and other streaming platforms until the Spotify situation gets worked out. “Y’all should go to Apple and download so it ain’t got nothing to do with nobody manipulating nothing.”

NLE Choppa Has Students All Over The World Doing His Signature Walk At Graduation

NLE Choppa’s new song “SLUT ME OUT 2” is whatever the exact opposite of kid-friendly is. The song is even raunchier than the original and has come with a promotional campaign featuring a number of NSFW moments. That included a viral photo shoot where he recreated a classic Tupac bathtub photo using excessive chains and rubber ducks. It also included a hilarious performance of the sex anthem with some of the last people you’d expect, his own parents. Now the song is once again creeping into territory you wouldn’t expect given how raunchy it is.

The song is making its impact on graduation ceremonies around the world, though unsurprisingly it’s not because they’re actually playing the track. It’s because students all around the world are hitting the signature walk associated with the song and video as they make their way across the stage. Since it’s the time of year where millions of students are graduating it’s very easy to find tons of videos online of fans sharing videos of themselves doing the walk while accepting their diplomas. Check out a compilation of just a few of the videos below.

“SLUT ME OUT 2” isn’t the only new single Choppa has released recently. He followed up the highly-anticipated sequel with the equally raunchy two-prat cut “Stickin And Movin.” While the latter has only racked up 1 million streams on Spotify, the former has already crossed the 10 million stream threshold. Recently he discussed his tendency to write songs of a particularly raunchy nature and revealed a detail that many fans were surprised by. He claims that he writes his best NSFW songs while celibate, rather than pulling directly from his own active experiences.

What do you think of students all over the world doing NLE Choppa’s “SLUT ME OUT 2” dance during their graduation? Are you surprised the song has caught on so much given how graphic is is? Let us know in the comment section below.

Mariah Carey Shared The Songwriting Secret That Makes Her Hits So Relatable

Mariah Carey may not have made onto Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums Of All Time list — a fact that disappointed plenty of music fans — but she’s still widely considered one of the best recording artists around. In a new clip from Audible’s Words + Music podcast, the ultra-relatable chanteuse shared one of the secrets to her wide appeal and longevity: Avoiding the sort of specificity fans often look for in pop music.

According to Rolling Stone, Carey explained, “One thing that’s something I try to do is to not really get super specific because I don’t want somebody else not to be able to take the lyrics I’ve written and have them heal themselves and have those lyrics pertain to whatever situation they’re going through.”

“Oftentimes, it might be super personal to me,” she continued. “But I leave it basic, so it can also be somebody else’s way of releasing whatever emotional feelings or whatever they’re going through.” This approach relates back to Carey’s youth, and how she engaged with the music she grew up listening to. “I’d be like, ‘That’s my song,’” she said. “Just because one little part, to me, as a teenager, I’d be like, ‘That’s exactly what I’m going through.’ I have no idea what the person who wrote those lyrics meant by that, but for me, at the time, it was all about me.”

You can check out a clip below.
