Kodak Black Kindly Asks Haters Calling Him Ugly To “Kiss His A**”

Kodak Black’s feature on Don Toliver’s new album HARDSTONE PSYCHO, specifically on the track “BROTHER STONE,” sees him calling out his haters in quite the unfiltered and personally offended way. “B***hes say I’m ugly, they can kiss my a**,” he raps on the cut, making a particular emphasis against people who make fun of his appearance and attractiveness. “N***as hating on me, but they copy my swag / F**k respect and love, as long as these n***as don’t do s**t to me / Throw shots all you want, as long as s**t’s not literally.” We can’t help but wonder what inspired Yak to come through with this energy.

Regardless, Kodak Black has to deal with a lot of drama right now thanks to the odd and unfortunate situation between him and two of his baby mamas. Moreover, one of them allegedly assaulted the other after she found out that he was spending time with that family, and apparently smashed his car windows, too. Overall, it seems like a pretty complicated and contentious situation that social media probably shouldn’t be the spectator of. Nevertheless, people are still commenting on the situation and seeing how this links into the other gossip timelines around the Florida rapper’s relationships.

Don Toliver’s “BROTHER STONE” With Kodak Black: Listen

Furthermore, his physical appearance may be a larger worry for him these days now that he doesn’t have the shadow of his legal issues looming over him and making everything else seem so trivial. We’re glad Kodak Black’s out of that hassle right now after accountability, and the idea of trolls hating on your appearance being one of your biggest headaches is a blessing. Elsewhere, his lawyer is commenting on some other cases in the rap game, namely Young Thug and YSL’s RICO trial. Bradford Cohen stuck up for Brian Steel, Thugger’s attorney, following his controversial arrest and conflict with the judge.

Meanwhile, Kodak Black has a new Sniper Gang-related compilation to share with fans, so he didn’t slow down at all this year with new releases. We’ll see whether this manifests into a solo drop down the line, but it’s also been quite the hectic past few months for him. We wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a small break somewhere in the timeline. But “BROTHER STONE” lets haters know that it’s all smoke no matter when a drop happens.

Pharrell Spices Up The ‘Despicable Me 4’ Soundtrack With The Groovy New Song ‘Double Life’

The Despicable Me franchise has been very good to Pharrell: He’s been involved on the music side of things since the first movie, and the second film’s breakout hit “Happy” was a No. 1 single and is the biggest song of Pharrell’s career. Well, Despicable Me 4 is set to hit theaters in July, and ahead of that, Pharrell has a new song from the movie, sharing “Double Life” today.

The tune isn’t as general and movie-agnostic as something like “Happy” (“Who will you be tonight? / That’s the question / Who will Gru be tonight? / That’s the question,” goes the song’s refrain), but it has a great groove and that Gru refrain is actually catchy as hell. This probably won’t be a world-changing single like “Happy,” but it’s in the upper tier of kids movie soundtrack fare.

This follows the Black Yacht Rock album Pharrell quietly released earlier this year. Uproxx named it one of the best albums of 2024 so far, and Uproxx’s Aaron Williams noted, “The most compelling thing about this album is watching a master at work, with a focused goal, crafting some of the best music of a long and storied career in service of shedding light on an oft-maligned musical mode.”

Rihanna Jokes That Fans Should ‘Wait For The ‘I Quit’ T-Shirt’ Before Losing Hope For Her New Music

Last week, Rihanna sent fans into a hopeless spiral when she was photographed wearing a T-shirt dress that read “I’m retired.” Fans couldn’t help but interpret this message as a reference to the long-running joke about Rihanna taking forever to release a new album (her last on, Anti, came out in 2016). But in a recent interview, Rihanna said they shouldn’t give up hope just yet — and revealed the item she’d actually wear to signal her music-making days are done.

As Rihanna told Extra (according to the Los Angeles Times) on Monday (June 10), “That was just me looking into the future. I’m not retired. I just like that dress. I got it as a gift and I loved it.… They didn’t read the second line, I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort.” As far as how she’d alert fans to the end of her music career, she said, “Wait for the ‘I Quit’ T-shirt.”

She also denied resurfaced pregnancy rumors after having two babies back-to-back, joking, “Can I get my six-pack back first? I don’t think I ever had one, but still. Let me go to Carnival one summer? Please, one summer.” However, she did admit she would like to try adding a girl to the mix. Although Rihanna has been more focused on motherhood than dropping that coveted ninth album, her maybe-husband ASAP Rocky did say that she’s been working on new music, so perhaps that T-shirt is staying in the closet — for now.

Megan Thee Stallion Updated The ‘Megan’ Cover On DSPs After Fans Complained About The Original Version

Megan Thee Stallion‘s new album Megan is on the way, but before its release, she’s made a big change to one of the most important parts: the cover art. Thee Stallion had the album’s cover updated across DSPs from its original version; on the new cover, a nude-ish Megan emerges from a giant egg. This re-aligns from the old cover, which depicted Megan coming out of a monarch butterfly chrysalis hanging from a tree. The original cover drew complaints from fans — along with Ice Spice’s Y2K cover — for featuring an awkward design.

Meg almost certainly saw fans’ jokes about the original cover, which deviated heavily from the established snake theme of her promo so far. Having released singles like “Cobra,” “Hiss,” and “Boa,” representing the way snakes shed their skins, the butterfly theme of the cover also nodded to the concept of transformation, but seemingly came out of left field. Speaking of left field, positioning the subject to the extreme left of the cover is pretty much a day-one design class error — not that it can’t be done to make an artistic statement, but here, the decision was misplaced (along with Meg). You can check out the new cover for comparison below.

Megan is out on 6/28

Bad Bunny Concert Allegedly Targeted For Mass Shooting & “Race War,” FBI Reveals

Bad Bunny was on a big North American tour this year in support of last year’s album, nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana, a trek that federal authorities claim was almost the target of domestic terrorism. Moreover, the FBI recently unveiled an indictment against white 58-year-old Arizona man Mark Adams Prieto, and it claims that he tried to carry out a mass shooting at an Atlanta rap concert in mid-May, which lines up with the Puerto Rican superstar’s tour stop in the city this year. Adams allegedly sought to provoke a “race war” before the 2024 election, and to target Black people and other ethnic minorities at this event.

Furthermore, the FBI claimed to have learned of this supposed plan through an alleged confidential informant, and sent an agent for Adams to recruit and confide in. Apparently, he sold some rifles to another of his close connections, and spoke with little reservations about specific details of the alleged attack on this tour. Informants claim that Adams told them he chose to target Atlanta due to Georgia’s previous history as a conservative state before more Black folks moved there. Allegedly, he picked the Bad Bunny concert due to the high number of Black people he thought it would hold, and planned to distribute Confederate flags in the area after the attack while screaming “Whities out here killing” and “KKK all the way.”

Then, federal authorities reportedly pulled over Adams on May 14, the day of the Bad Bunny Atlanta show, as he drove through New Mexico, and seized seven firearms during the arrest. A grand jury delivered the indictment and prosecutors charged Adams with firearms trafficking, transfer of a firearm for use in a hate crime, and possession of an unregistered firearm. Neither Kendall Jenner’s rumored boo nor his team have responded to these claims or the indictment.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny just wrapped up his tour for his latest album with a spectacular three-night in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which you can find our review of here. Fortunately, none of the violence that Adams allegedly planned took place at this Atlanta show nor at any other. Hopefully federal authorities, colleagues, and communities at large can continue to prevent these horrific attacks when faced with their deliberation.

Rihanna’s “Diabolical” New Wax Figure Has Fans Disturbed

Recently, Madame Tussauds unveiled yet another one of their famous wax figures, this time replicating none other than Rihanna. The interpretation shows the songstress in a lilac sweatsuit and a pair of matching heels, rocking long dark hair, and a sassy pose. Of course, where there’s art there are critics, and social media users are certainly not feeling this latest portrayal of the Fenty queen herself.

The Neighborhood Talk shared a photo of the wax figure today, and fans are making their opinions known. “A 20 buck H&M tracksuit on a billionaire is diabolical,” one Instagram commenter writes alongside a laughing emoji. Another simply says, “Leave me alone.”

Fans Aren’t Feeling Madame Tussauds Rihanna Interpretation

While some commenters have taken issue with the wax figure’s outfit, others claim that it seems to resemble another female celeb more than it does Rihanna. “Get em GLO!” one user jokes. “That is literally GloRilla but ok,” someone else adds. Clearly, Madame Tussauds was just trying to show RiRi some love, but fans can’t help but think that something went terribly wrong in the process. Luckily, this isn’t the first time the iconic museum has unveiled a Rihanna wax figure, and supporters seem to agree that their previous attempts have been far more successful.

Late last year, for example, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong displayed a Rihanna wax figure, depicting the performer in the bright orange outfit she rocked at a 2020 FENTY pop-up launch. At the time, fans praised the artist behind the realistic figure for nailing everything from her hair to her makeup look, with some even claiming that they mistook the figure for a photo of the real Rihanna. What do you think of Madame Tussauds’ new Rihanna wax figure? What about all of the criticism it’s receiving online? Did they do the icon dirty? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

The Alchemist Brings Spooky Vibes To The Club By Playing Kendrick Lamar “Meet The Grahams” Beat: Watch

The Alchemist is one of the best producers in the history of hip-hop. Overall, he has delivered some classic songs, and there are fans out there who believe his catalog can not be beaten. While The Alchemist has remained extremely active this year, fans mostly have his “Meet The Grahams” beat on their minds. Although it is unknown when he cooked up this beat, it is very well known that this is the track that helped Kendrick defeat Drake.

It’s a skeletal beat that contains some dark piano keys and some drums that help divide up each verse. The loop is haunting and when you combine it with the lyrical content of “Meet The Grahams,” you end up with one of the scariest tracks to ever grace a rap beef. Well, while out in LA, The Alchemist was doing a set, and he opted to play the now-infamous beat. Of course, this isn’t exactly the perfect club song. Consequently, The Alchemist played the beat without any vocals on top of it.

Tinashe’s ‘Nasty’ Is A Hit And She Reckons Her Former Label Is ‘Gagging’ Over It

Tinashe Lollapalooza 2022
Josh Brasted

After starting her career on RCA Records, Tinashe has gone the independent route for her latest releases. It’s working out pretty well, too: Her latest single, “Nasty,” is a TikTok favorite and one of the biggest hits of her career. Tinashe’s RCA years were filled with conflict, so she doesn’t seem to mind rubbing her success in their faces a little bit.

As a recent video shows, Tinashe was asked by a reporter, “Do you feel like RCA kind of dropped the ball when you were on their label? Because they couldn’t do it? You did it by yourself.” Tinashe responded, “You know? We just didn’t need them. All you need is hard work, good fans, talent. I know they’re gagging.”

The cameraperson also asked about what Tinashe has on the horizon, and she teased new music, remixes, a tour, and her upcoming album (she said BB/Angel, her 2023 project, but presumably misspoke and meant her upcoming album Quantum Baby).

Tinashe has previously spoken about her dissatisfaction with RCA, saying in a 2019 Billboard interview, “There were definitely ups and downs. I give them a lot of credit for helping me start out. […] My second album process just wasn’t as seamless as the first. I first announced it in 2015, right off the back of Aquarius. For whatever business reasons, it didn’t come out for the next three years. With that process of delaying the album, I felt really deflated as a creative. I was frustrated and helpless. I was over it and felt jaded.”

Odell Beckham Jr. Supports Drake Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud With Hilarious “Family Matters” Display

The biggest topic in all of rap music this year has been the conflict between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Fans were enthralled with the saga for weeks since they were never sure when the next shots would be fired, in addition to drawing in some of the greatest names in the genre. Particularly during that one weekend when “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us” were released one after the other in quick succession. To many, Drake lost the beef, and he himself seemed to move on and try to put the whole thing behind him. Now, his best friend Odell Beckahm Jr. has released a video of him supporting Drizzy by dancing to “Family Matters.”

Odell dropped a video of himself blasting and dancing to Drake ‘s Kendrick Lamar diss track “Family Matters.” Odell is hilariously showing support to his bestie who he spends a lot of time with. Though Drake may have lost the feud in many people’s eyes, that doesn’t matter to Beckham JR., who will support his guy through thick and thin. Judging by the video, he was really feeling the track and just had to share it with the world to show folks that Drake dropped an incredible song. Drake and Odell have been friends for a long time, so the show of support is no real surprise.

Odell Beckham Jr. Supports Drake By Hilariously Blasting Family Matters

Over the past few years, Drake and Odell Beckham Jr. have become close friends to the point that the Super Bowl champion once resided at the Toronto star’s Hidden Hills home. Beckham reportedly related an incident in which he was at the home of the Six Gods when supporters broke in. “Somehow [these guys] found The Boy’s house, broke into it,” he said during a podcast appearance. And man they come into the room like, ‘We made it to Drake’s crib!’ [Their] socks [were] dirty as hell like they had to crawl through the mountains to get here. So I had to try and play it cool. I had to dap them up but I was like, on edge at this point.”

Odell Beckham Jr. recently signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins, joining their young and dynamic wide receiver room. They will be looking to the veteran Odell to set the standard and hopefully help them make a deep playoff run. Odell also recently called it quits with Kim Kardashian, although the two are still cool with each other. Overall, Odell Beckham Jr. had a great time vibing to his buddy Drake’s diss track, showing some real support.

Quavo & Kamala Harris To Discuss Gun Violence & Reform At Summit In Takeoff’s Memory

Quavo has already done a lot to honor Takeoff’s legacy and start conversations around gun violence prevention in the United States, but the work is not done. Moreover, he will speak to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris about firearm reform and violence prevention at his inaugural Rocket Summit Foundation. Atlanta will host this event on Tuesday (June 18), and the event in honor of the late former Migo will take place on what would’ve been his 30th birthday. According to Variety, Harris and Quay’s fireside sit-down will “discuss the methods and approaches that must be taken to decrease gun violence and protect communities.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that VP Kamala Harris would be speaking to Quavo. Last September, the Georgia rapper went with his mother and Takeoff’s mother to the White House to meet with her for the first time and kickstart these conversations between these parties. With this Rocket Foundation Summit, it seems like he is pushing for these discussions even more, and hopefully continues to do so. After all, the “Mink” MC has a massive platform through which folks can connect, and he will always want to tribute his nephew.

“I feel like your calling comes at the least expected times,” Quavo told the Associated Press after his first meeting with VP Kamala Harris. “You don’t think nothing is going to happen. I need to step up to the plate and hit a home run. I have to do something about it, so it won’t happen to the masses. Especially in our culture. I don’t want this to happen to the next person. I want to knock down these percentages.

We need to do better with the control of guns,” Quavo continued. “We need to figure out how do we keep these types of incidents from happening to people going anywhere and thinking they can hurt somebody where it shouldn’t happen.”
