Young Thug Trial: Lil Woody Makes Good Use Of His Week Off With Some Poolside Relaxation

Overall, the Young Thug trial has proven to be one of the most complicated ongoing stories in hip-hop. There are reports that this trial could very well last all the way until 2027. Moreover, there have been numerous issues involving witnesses and their testimony. There has also been accusations of ex-parte meetings and witness intimidation from the side of the prosecution. Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel even attempted to have Judge Ural Glanville recused from the trial.

One of the key witnesses in the trial is Lil Woody. As we have reported over the past couple of weeks, the Woody situation has been a bit bizarre, to say the least. He fired his lawyer in the middle of his testimony. Furthermore, he was jailed after refusing to testify during one of the court dates. Not to mention, whenever he does testify, he ends up wasting the court’s time by stalling and asking repeated questions. This week, Lil Woody has some time to himself, and it appears as though he is making the most of it.

The Young Thug Trial Continues

On his Instagram story, Lil Woody posted a photo of himself in the pool on a floaty. It was here where he delivered the caption: “Gotta enjoy it before they come and take it.” Lil Woody seems to understand that the Young Thug trial could very well become more difficult in the not-so-distant future. Only time will tell how things play out for all of the parties involved here.

Trick Daddy Allegedly Blocked A Woman From “Love & Hip-Hop” After She Spurned His Sexual Advances

Trick Daddy allegedly prevented a woman from appearing on Love & Hip-Hop after she refused his sexual advances, according to a user on Instagram by the name of Ravinia Ricki. The drama began when the veteran rapper shared screenshots from a text conversation of an argument in which he called an unidentified person a “sh*t eater.” Afterward, Ricki shared a screenshot of an alleged text conversation between the two of them in which he remarks, “I just told them no more recording with you,” after she appears to shoot him down.

“My genuine heart gets me F*ked over every time I’m so over it,” Ricki wrote in the caption. “If you ever wonder why I’m not on love n hip hop Miami it’s because I refuse to sleep with trick daddy disrespect self . Idk why tf I had to to get on the show as his love interest and not a new artist in Miami that’s been grinding for years in the game ….I’m about to go tf off on everyone and everything … I swear”

In the post, she added: “Trick daddy got me kicked off love n hip-hop because I wouldn’t give him no coochie why tf would you waste my mf time like that knowing damn well them people don’t pay you if the episodes don’t air I’m not obligated to have sex with no mf body.” Trick later posted a video on Instagram, in which he appears to defend himself and confirm he’s not going to let anyone “assassinate my character.” In turn, he suggests the woman was “picking and choosing” from their text messages.

Clipse Reveal That Their Upcoming Album Will Be Produced By Pharrell

In an exclusive interview with Vulture, Pusha T and No Malice (Clipse) announced that their new album will be entirely produced by Pharrell. This one heck of bombshell, as the Virginia-based duo are making their return after 15 long years. In 2009 we got Til The Casket Drops, which had eight songs featuring Pharrell production. So, it is great to hear that even after all of this time, the band is still getting back together. We do not much else about the record, as Pusha T and No Malice kept the details to a minimum. The important thing is we know we are getting a Clipse record soon, which will be one of high quality they promise.

“I think this is where you get the difference between taste and filler. This music is curated. This is a high taste-level piece of work. You can only have that level of taste when you have the fundamentals down to a science. I think it’s been definitely missing”, Push told Vulture. Malice doubled down on that take, affirming, “This is smart basketball. It’s fundamentals”.

Clipse Are Curating A “High Taste-Level” Album Along With Pharrell

“And not only that, it’s authenticity. It’s what rap should look like if you’re real about your craft, real about your experience, real about your storytelling. It’s bringing the fans along to see the growth, not trying to fit in or fabricate”, Malice added. If this is out of the blue news to you, there was some hope that a Clipse album could be a possibility. King Push did tell Complex that fans could “100% bet” on either getting a solo album from him or a reuniting effort. Additionally, the duo premiered an unreleased collab with John Legend at a Louis Vuitton show in Paris.

Pusha T And No Malice Are Making A New Clipse Album That’s Entirely Produced By Pharrell

The Neptunes (Pharrell and Chad Hugo) are a major part of the Clipse (Pusha T and No Malice) story: The production duo has been at the helm of all four Clipse albums, including their latest, 2009’s Til The Casket Drops. Now, Clipse is readying their first album in 15 years, and the whole thing is produced by Pharrell.

In a new Vulture interview, Pusha T said, “Pharrell producing everything is also an ode to the type of music and the type of albums we want to make. We still want to make full bodies of work. These are movies, man. These aren’t just songs. This isn’t just a collection of joints we went in and banged out.”

He also noted that he and No Malice didn’t work with Pharrell’s Neptunes partner Chad Hugo on the project.

Elsewhere, Pusha said about the album, “I think the album shows the supreme maturation of a rap duo. I think this is where you get the difference between taste and filler. This music is curated. This is a high taste-level piece of work. You can only have that level of taste when you have the fundamentals down to a science. I think it’s been definitely missing. Then there’s the competitive aspect.”

No Malice added, “This is smart basketball. It’s fundamentals. And not only that, it’s authenticity. It’s what rap should look like if you’re real about your craft, real about your experience, real about your storytelling. It’s bringing the fans along to see the growth, not trying to fit in or fabricate. It just seems like in other genres of music, they have the luxury of growing. For some reason, we act like we’re not supposed to evolve. This is what the true evolution of the Clipse looks like. It’s just good to be able to show that and still have high-level raps.”

Normani Admits All The Jokes About The Long Wait For Her Album Impacted Her In Light Of What She Was Going Through

For years, a recurring theme in the Normani fan community has been waiting for her to release her debut solo album. Normani herself even got in on the fun by announcing the long-awaited project’s title with a website, wheresthedamnalbum.com. While Normani is now cracking jokes along with her devotees, she admits there was a point where the jokes weren’t quite landing with her.

In a new interview with Apple Music’s Ebro, Normani explained:

“I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel impact by that, personally, because I know everything that I was going through and enduring. I’m like, ‘I promise, I care, I’m still here, I’m trying.’ Literally, I’ve dedicated my life, every ounce of my being, to this project and to this very moment, so I don’t want anybody thinking the opposite. But I feel like it’s something I can laugh about now.”

Earlier in the conversation, she noted, “I’ve just had so many roadblocks, I would say, that people didn’t necessarily know were taking place, and things that were beyond my control. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and then the following year, after going through that as a family, my dad ended up getting diagnosed with prostate cancer. I’m sure, as you can imagine, having to endure that while also trying to continue to get the ball down the field and get this project out, it just came with a lot. There were days that, honestly, I didn’t feel like getting out of bed, and it’s hard to be creative and hard to be motivated and continue to be inspired.

Pusha T Breaks His Silence On Being Namedropped By Kendrick Lamar On “Euphoria”

Pusha T and his legend have already been cemented. Overall, that legend was cemented well before he ever started beefing with Drake. However, once he dropped “The Story Of Adidon,” it became clear that Push is an artist that is not to be messed with. When it comes to a battle, Push doesn’t play by any rules. Instead, he sets the tone and leaves his enemies begging for a way out. The same can be said of Kendrick Lamar, who also just went toe-to-toe with Drake.

Recently, Pusha T and No Malice sat down with Craig Jenkins of Vulture. During this interview, Clipse spoke about their upcoming album, while also divulging on some of hip-hop’s biggest topics. In fact, at the end of the interview, Jenkins snuck in a question about Kendrick’s line on “Euphoria” where he raps: “let me see you push a T.” As you can imagine, Push displayed lots of admiration for Kendrick, saying “Incredible. Incredible display. Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick …”

No Malice followed this up by saying, “it was a master class.” These responses should come as no surprise. Push has said on numerous occasions that he has no interest in apologizing to Drake or collaborating with him in the future. Instead, we imagine Push was listening to tracks like “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us” with jubilation. No matter what, you cannot deny the impact that this beef had on hip-hop as a whole. In the eyes of many, we will never see anything like this, ever again. With Kendrick performing in California today, who knows, it may not be over.

Post Malone Unable To Close Abuse Lawsuit From Ex & Her Law Firm

Post Malone will be heading back to the courthouse on August 1, as he is still fighting off a physical abuse lawsuit from ex-girlfriend, Ashlen Diaz. In addition to that though, the Dallas, Texas native is also dealing with the firm that Diaz recruited, Martorell Law. According to AllHipHop and The Blast, the award-winning singer technically put their relationship issues to rest but not in the most effective manner. Martorell Law alleges that Post convinced Diaz to drop them, paid her $350,000, and they also claim that she never gave them the promised cut of that money.

That $350,000 comes from the palimony agreement that the now country singer and ex put in place. They were never married, however, Diaz wanted something after splitting in 2018. So, to summarize this, Post Malone is mostly handling just the lawsuit from Martorell Law now. It seems this battle is far from over, especially based on the language from the court documents.

Post Malone Will Try To End The Abuse Lawsuit On August 1

“The Court learns that the settlement has not yet been finalized and therefore continues today’s hearing” (June 14). As we mentioned, the Inglewood, California courthouse is pushing this back to August 1, about a month and a half away. According to AllHipHop, “Martorell Law told the court it settled the matter with Post Malone and Diaz out of court, but the negotiations deal crumbled”. 23 Brazy Arrested For Alleged Killing Of 10-Year-Old Boy

Authorities have finally arrested Norfolk rapper 23 Brazy for allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy, after a 10-month search that concluded in Virginia on Tuesday. The U.S. Marshals Service was offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.

Brazy stands accused of allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy and injuring a 37-year-old man in an August 2023 shooting in Franklin. Police claim Brazy and three other people went to the latter victim’s house on August 9, 2023, before the shooting broke out. They issued the warrant for her arrest for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, threat to burn or damage a building, possession of firearm by convicted felon and discharge of a firearm in a public place.

Police Apprehend 23 Brazy

Robert Bowers with the U.S Marshals Service detailed the arrest to News 3, revealing that they found Brazy at Brookside Square Apartments in Boykins where a relative was hiding her. “Her family member came out, and I heard Drayton’s voice from the top of the stairs saying she was coming out, and she came down the stairs and surrendered,” Bowers said. He also explained that the case was extra important considering the age of the victim. “On a case like this where a juvenile is involved, it means a little more and you put a little effort into it to give the family some closure,” Bowers said. He added: “It feels good. When we spoke last time I told you that the Marshals Service wouldn’t rest until Tashawnda Drayton is in custody and we meant it.”

When you are in the entertainment world, finding true friends can be almost impossible. However, it seems as though Fif has found at least one lifelong friend in Eminem.

In fact, 50 took to Instagram on Wednesday morning where he posted a photo of himself alongside Eminem. It was here that the legendary rapper delivered a short but sweet caption about the power of friendship. Throughout this caption, 50 Cent made it clear that when it comes to friendship, he would rather just have a few amazing friends, then a lot of bad ones.

It’s Wednesday, Which Means Usher Won’t Eat At All Today, And He Explained Why

Today (June 19) is Wednesday, so if you happen to run into Usher, odds are you won’t see him eating.

As People notes, in a recent Wall Street Journal interview, Usher broke down his wellness routine. Most notable was the fact that every Wednesday, Usher doesn’t eat or drink anything besides water.

He explained, “I fast, not for religious purposes, but it’s something my grandmother practiced. I typically try to start around 11 p.m. the previous day, then go the entire day on Wednesday just drinking water.”

Usher also noted that he begins most days with a “moment of reflection,” and explained, “Typically I wake up and drink celery juice. I’ve been doing this concoction of lemon, ginger, water and cayenne pepper. I drink it hot.” Additionally, he noted, “I don’t like to eat breakfast before I’ve worked out or done something physical: taking a walk, stretching or doing yoga, sitting in the sun and raising my body’s natural heat levels. Then I eat.”

As for his breakfast of choice, that honor goes to eggs scrambled with cheese.

Meanwhile, Usher faced a setback last month, when his Lovers & Friends festival ended up getting canceled due to extreme weather conditions (specifically, high winds).
