Skilla Baby Doesn’t Believe Eminem Is The Best Rapper In Detroit

Skilla Baby shared a hot take regarding Eminem and the city of Detroit during an appearance on the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast. Speaking with the actress, Skilla argued that the legendary artist isn’t the best rapper out of his hometown. Instead, he says the title is constantly switching hands.

“Numbers wise, Eminem is the best Detroit rapper but the gag is nobody would say that in Detroit. Everybody had a turn being Detroit’s favorite rapper,” he said. “Sada Baby had a turn, Tee Grizzley had a turn, Babyface Ray had a turn, Veeze is one of Detroit’s best rappers, Baby Smoove. Everybody had their turn being the best in the city. What we lack is consistency. Nobody has consistently been Detroit’s favorite rapper.”

From there, Skilla added: “Numbers wise, it’s Eminem but nobody in Detroit is playing Eminem right now and I was an Eminem fan as a kid. I’m a fan of Eminem but do we consider him our best rapper? I don’t think Detroit does.” Afterward, he listed some other artists he forgot to mention as well. “No shade to anybody names I left off Detroit is full of great rappers and I can’t forget Kash Doll, Big Sean, and Dej [Loaf] of course,” he concluded. Even though Central Cee and Ice Spice are from different countries, they actually share quite a bit in common. Both are major faces in the current hip-hop landscape due in part to their drill hits. Additionally, each have won similar Best New Artist awards at the BRITs and MTV show, respectively. So, why couldn’t Central Cee and Ice Spice start dating? Well, the internet is starting to believe that could be a real possibility. Several hours ago, the “Doja” hitmaker shared a short video on his Instagram Story of him cruising through what appears to be downtown London.

Cee was doing so in style as well, as he decided to take out his blue Lamborghini Urus SUV. This is not the part that is big news. Just moments later, Ice Spice posted a similar-looking blue dashboard on her Story, along with the location, London, UK. Fans were quick to make jokes surrounding this development under the repost from The Shade Room. Most of them centered around what their babies would look like. “That baby gonna be translucent”. Or, “They must be tryna have a Albino”, another user writes.

The fact that dating rumors are flying everywhere is not all that surprising, though. Spice and Cee have been photographed on numerous occasions, especially later last year. Additionally, when the “Think U The S*** (Fart)” rapper was rising fast through the ranks, Cee was asked by Complex about what he thinks about her. He claimed he sees a lot of the same in her, personality wise in particular. “She reminds me of me a bit, she’s cool innit. Humble, down to earth, don’t really care too much about the shiny stuff; but knows how to play the game”. There is some speculation that the two could finally be releasing a song together soon after months of teasing. Either scenario is up in the air, and we are ruling them out in the slightest.

It’s also the home of several sports teams, including the WNBA’s Aces, who played the Indiana Fever on ESPN last night. Naturally, ESPN anchor Michael Eaves asked the Aces star forward A’ja Wilson after the game if there were any artists she wanted to see perform a residency in Vegas. The WNBA’s best player didn’t even let Eaves get the question out before responding with a relatable, one-word answer: Beyoncé.

“She doesn’t even have to come here for a residency,” she conceded. “She could just come to a game and just say ‘what’s up’ to us, and we’re fine, ’cause I know she got other stuff to do. Beyoncé, girl…”

With the WNBA increasing in popularity lately, it doesn’t sound like a pipe dream (I, personally, am disappointed that Bey hasn’t hit up a game yet, though — maybe she was waiting for the Houston Comets to come back). A fan of Chris Brown has clarified that the singer never offered them $10,000 or a refund of their ticket to a meet and greet. A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) shared a picture of the fan with Brown and added the caption: “This woman paid $1,111 for a ‘Meet & Greet’ with Chris Brown. When he saw her, refunded her money and also gave her an extra $10k, along with these beautiful pictures.”

Afterward, the fan took to social media to debunk the story. “What I’m not okay with is strangers on the internet using my face and exploiting my disability for likes and clicks while spreading misinformation,” she said. “That, we not gonna do. Just like everyone else, I support Chris as a brand and as an individual so if you see me at a show or meet and greet, please know that I paid for my ticket. I paid to get there.” Having been to numerous concerts before, she added that she and Brown have “built a great relationship.” In turn, Brown has offered free tickets and to upgrade her seats at certain events but it doesn’t happen often.

She went on to say that the story perpetuates a narrative “that individuals with disabilities don’t have jobs, we don’t function well in society.” She explained: “This going around takes away from everything that I personally did to get there. Big Sean Cites Being On Eminem’s “Tobey” As A “Full Circle” Moment

Big Sean still is having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that he has made it. Even after several successful records, major hits, and numerous big-time collaborations, it does not seem real somehow. The Detroit, Michigan native is still one of major players from his era, even without dropping a lot of music in the 2020s. However, his limited output is still of high quality. He dropped perhaps his best record to date with Detroit 2, a follow-up to his over decade old fan-favorite mixtape. Additionally, Sean has put out several singles, including his high-octane “Precision” which did not receive the proper praise as it dropped on the same day as “Like That”.

Now, Big Sean can add his fiery guest verse on Eminem’s recently-released “Tobey” single. He holds his own on it, going toe to toe with Slim Shady, as well as the new kid on the block, BabyTron. “I was immersed in the Murcié, I show ’em no mercy, I really was watchin’ the throne (For real) / N****s ain’t turnin’ me down, when my baby asleep only time that I’m watchin’ my tone, look (Shh)“. Sean is certainly a major reason as to why the song has been receiving so much love and because of it the hitmaker is now seeing this as a “full circle” moment.

Uncle Luke Calls Out Drake For Co-Signing Rick Ross Attack

Uncle Luke slammed Drake in a video on social media, earlier this week, after the Toronto rapper seemingly liked a clip of of Rick Ross and his team getting jumped for playing Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in Canada. Luke says it’s a dangerous move and condoning it is “unacceptable.”

“This whole fighting with my boy Rick Ross and his guys in Canada, that’s unacceptable,” he said. “That [isn’t] supposed to happen. And what’s more unacceptable is when Mr. Drake liked the post. I expect more out of Mr. Drake. When there is violence, you don’t condone it. Drake, you should be bigger than that. You don’t like no posts because here’s what happens: there’s always a backlash to it all.”

J Cole Supported By Trae Tha Truth Over Dropping Out Of Drake & Kendrick’s Beef

Over the last couple of months, J Cole has been laying quite low after dropping out of the Kendrick Lamar beef. People have been commending the German-born MC for his decision to bow out, as most know it is not in his nature to get into beefs. However, there are still quite a few people out there who still lack respect for the “7 Minute Drill” MC. Him and Drake continue to receive criticism for essentially not doing anything of merit since taking their respective L’s. For example, countless jokes circled the internet after his questionable guest performance on Cash Cobain’s “Grippy”.

But there are hip-hop figures out there who are showing J Cole love, and that includes Trae Tha Truth. According to HipHopDX, the Houston, Texas rapper sat down with AllHipHop at the BET Awards this past weekend and showed nothing but compassion for the man. Overall, Trae feels like the media painted Cole in an egregiously negative light for removing himself from what has become an overtly violent beef at times. The smoky-voiced MC sees no issue with the apology as Trae knows that Cole does not move like that.

Kehlani, To Be Clear, Is A ‘Raging Lesbian,’ They Explain While Pushing Back On ‘This Inability To Fathom’ It

Pride Month is over as of a few days ago, and Kehlani closed it out by declaring that they are, in their words, a “raging lesbian.”

Kehlani has been open about their sexuality previously, but in new videos shared on TikTok, they speak about “de-centering men” in her life and about people questioning whether they’re actually a lesbian.

In one video, Kehlani says:

“OK, so hear me out: I was bisexual my entire life, and then I came out as a lesbian almost four years ago now. But when I realized — recently, actually — all of the f*cking elevation in my life that has come from de-centering men in every f*cking area of it… [chef’s kiss gesture]. In your spiritual spaces, in your practices, in who you’re being educated by, who you’re being taught by, in community… everything. When I prioritized women and also just centered myself and women? When all the bad b*tches decide what planet that they’re going to after we f*ck this one, invite me, because I will thrive.”

Then, in a video responding to comments, Kehlani continued:

“Bringing up the fact that I had a child, or bringing up ex-boyfriends from four years ago or before, bringing up situations from when I was 20? I’m 29. I will be 30 next year. I don’t know why there’s this inability to fathom that I’m a raging lesbian. And yes, my music is gay. Who I perform to and for is the gays. And if you’re stuck in the past, it’s between you and your god. If you’re a man still bringing up my ex-boyfriends, just say you want to f*ck ’em.”

Rick Ross Denies Hiding Injuries After Getting Jumped By Alleged Drake Fans

Over the weekend, chaos unfolded at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, as Rick Ross was confronted by a group of alleged Drake fans. Reportedly, he had asked the DJ to play Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” at the event, prompting tension among attendees. In footage that circulated online after the incident, he’s seen getting punched in the face. Of course, this resulted in an all-out brawl between both crews.

As expected, the viral incident has earned Ross a great deal of clowning online. His ex-wife Tia Kemp has been particularly vocal, making it clear that she’s on Drizzy’s side with various posts. Recently, for example, he shared a photo of himself sipping orange juice on a jet. She took the opportunity to suggest that he was covering up his eye in order to hide injuries from the altercation.

“Hiding that [eye emoji],” she wrote in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section alongside a series of laughing emojis. According to him, however, he actually is unscathed. To prove it, he’s now shared a close-up of both of his eyes, laughing at the idea that he could have been hiding anything. Based on the clip, he didn’t walk away with any significant damage, though Kemp is likely to remind him of the attack any chance she gets from now on.

Earlier this week, for example, she said he was glad that the fight happened. We had a little brief conversation,” Ashanti’s dad, Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas, recalled. “For me, it’s very special for a man in this era to ask for someone’s hand [in marriage], especially your daughter’s.
