Last week, Sleepy Hallow dropped off a new single just in time for Valentine’s Day, “Cupid’s Guidance.” The playful track sees the Brooklyn-born performer rhyme about finding “love” on tour, making money, and more. It samples 112’s track “Cupid” from the R&B group’s 1996 self-titled debut.

The release follows Sleepy Hallow’s album Boy Meets World, which he unveiled in September of last year. The project boasts various high-profile features from the likes of Fivio Foreign, Doechii, Marshmello, and more. While it’s only been a few months since his last album was released, fans are already eager to hear more.

Throughout the last few months, fans have been theorizing about when the music video for this song would end up making its way to YouTube. After all, these are three big artists on one song. Well, on Wednesday, Drizzy finally gave us the music video and it boasted a unique DIY aesthetic. Sexyy Red’s water breaks during the video and we get to see her in the hospital as well. Moreover, there is one scene in which Drake kisses her pregnant belly. This led to a hilarious contemplation from Sexyy on Twitter.

He posted some shots and audio for a music video to his song “WY@.” It was a track that was a part of the rollout for his now-released album Larger Than Life. It is Brent’s fourth studio LP and it follows up his 2022 tape WASTELAND. The Maryland R&B songwriter had some stellar tracks on his 2023 endeavor such as “Moment Of Your Life” with Coco Jones. But, Brent’ Faiyaz’s “WY@” is the track getting more attention.

As we mentioned, the preview for the music video had people shocked when they saw him and Lupita about to make out. However, we did not get to see the full extent of that scene. That is, until today. To help celebrate Valentine’s Day, Brent dropped the five-minute long “movie” for “WY@.”

The full video is as equally confusing but intriguing as the teaser. It depicts him and Lupita acting out scenes for their upcoming action film. Drake could be dropping a music video for “Rich Baby Daddy”. At least that’s what fans think based on the rapper’s social media. Images of Sexyy Red and SZA on Drizzy’s Instagram Story have led fans to believe that Drake could be hyping a potential music video for the For All The Dogs track. Featuring the two aforementioned femcees, “Rich Baby Daddy” peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, there is no further confirmation beyond the cryptic Instagram posts to confirm the theory about a music video.

Of course, Drake will be eager to steer the conversation around him back towards his music. In recent days, social media has been rife with content relating to a reported leak of an alleged sex tape featuring Drake and adult actress and activist Mia Khalifa. The existence of the tape is largely unsubstantiated but the topic has gone viral regardless. Neither party has openly addressed the rumors at this time.

Drake Asks SZA To Release “Joni”

Meanwhile, Drake recently pressed SZA to drop one of her unreleased tracks. In late January, Drizzy posted a screenshot of SZA’s published Soundcloud snippets of “Joni” to his Instagram Story. “My [goat emoji], pls drop this,” Drake added to the image. The song, first teased in 2020 during a Rolling Stone interview, has been partially released as a minute-long snippet online. The trap beat is written from the perspective of Joni Mitchell, the iconic folk musician. It’s unclear whether Drake’s endorsement will see the song finally come to light.

SZA is currently riding high after a massive win at last week’s Grammys. She, along with Phoebe Bridgers, won the 2024 Grammy for best pop dup/group performance for their track “Ghost in the Machine”. The pair most notably won the award over Taylor Swift, who was nominated for her track “Karma”, which featured Ice Spice. “Holy sh-t THANK YOU @phoebe_bridgers!!!I F-CKING LOVE YOU B-TCH !! Playboi Carti was spotted meeting up with Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori in Los Angeles over the weekend. The two appeared to be filming a music video together, along with Luka Sabbat. Ye hid his face from the paparazzi by rocking both a Michael Myers mask and a Jason Voorhees mask.

When OurGenerationMusic shared a picture of the group together, fans expressed their excitement for a collaboration. “Carti gotta link with a distributor for a release date,” one fan commented. Another was less optimistic: “At this point Carti just fk wit Ye on the strength, at this point I doubt if they make anything else together.”

Carti and West’s link-up comes after the two recently collaborated on the single, “2024.” Ye handled production on the song alongside ojivolta and earlonthebeat. While Carti is preparing for the release of a new album, so is West. He’s scheduled to drop his Ty Dolla Sign collaborative effort, Vultures, on February 9, 2024. That date is the latest after several delays to the project. Carti will be making an appearance on the tracklist with the song, “Fuk Sumn.” Other collaborators across the album include Chris Brown, Future, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo, Lil Durk, Young Thug, and more. Nicki Minaj was expected to appear on the song, “New Body,” but she rejected West’s clearance of the track. She explained online that she meant “no disrespect,” but that the “train has left the station.”

Kanye West Hints Quavo & Rich The Kid Collab Is On The Way

Kanye West may be in a lot of public hot water right now, but that hasn’t stopped collaborations from coming his way. What’s more is that, with how cryptic and frankly misleading his movement tends to be, these could sprout up out of nowhere and be dismissed within a few hours. In this instance, speculation around a new team-up stems from the Chicago artist’s recent Instagram Story post about another rap duo. Quavo and Rich The Kid spent their time at an Atlanta Hawks game filming a music video, and Ye reposted this clip on the social media platform. As such, fans theorize that he could hop on whatever this video is for.

Of course, this is all just part of the rumor mill right now, and it’s likely that Kanye West just wants to shout some rappers out. In fact, Quavo supposedly features multiple times on his Ty Dolla $ign collab album Vultures, whose first volume reportedly got a tracklist revision. Furthermore, the former Migo appears on “F**k Sumn” with Playboi Carti and “Back To Me” with Freddie Gibbs, or at least he did on previewed versions of these songs. As is typical with a Yeezy rollout, we can’t really say anything is set in stone until it’s released, and even then, folks could edit and revamp elements as proven with 2016’s The Life Of Pablo.

Recently, he confronted one of these leakers via Instagram, and it was curious to see given his leak history. Some of the 46-year-old’s scrapped albums and fan-favorite unreleased tracks still made a massive impact on many rap fans out there.

Out of all the unconfirmed yet spicy and speculated rap beefs out right now, Ice Spice and Latto is one that many fans think will boil over soon. Of course, these are all just rumors based on alleged subliminals, social media shots, and more interpretations. However, even though this is firmly riding the gossip train, we can’t deny that the signs are getting clearer and easier to draw connections between. For example, the 777 star was recently spotted filming a music video in the Like..? hitmaker’s neighborhood of the Bronx. Complete with a gaggle of security trucks and onlookers, we’ll see whether the resulting product furthers this or if it’s just a coincidence.

Furthermore, folks in the comments sections of posts below are pointing out how this isn’t really a violent or hostile issue, and thus, this doesn’t mean what it would mean in another scenario. Still, it’s curious how this connection falls amid the context of previous alleged back-and-forths between the two. Does Latto want this to be a statement or to bait Ice Spice into a lyrical spar? Or are we just reading too deeply into the whole thing -– or misinterpreting an olive branch, perhaps?

Overall, nothing would make us happier than these femcees dropping a hot track together to dispel these claims. Whether there were issues before or not, it would be great to see what this would represent for the rap genre, particularly for women within it, as female rap beef seems so common and exploited these days. Sure, some instances (like the current war between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj) are much more direct and fair game. But as folks pick sides in that battle (and we all know where Ice Spice and Latto stand), it ends up creating and adding to unnecessary division.

Alongside the trailer, Logic unveiled the release date of the project’s lead single, “Fear.” The track and accompanying music video arrived today, and so far, fans haven’t been disappointed. The track touches on themes of identity and encourages listeners to be themselves unapologetically, despite what critics have to say about it.
