Jack Harlow and Kendrick Lamar met up for a photo at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City on Monday night. The “First Class” rapper shared the picture of the two of them in a post on Instagram, the following day. The theme for the event was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” in honor of the late designer.

“Was a pleasure working with you,” Harlow captioned the post. Matching with the theme, Harlow rocked a Tommy Hilfiger outfit while Lamar wore an all-black fit with a leather jacket, slick pants, dress shoes, and an MLB hat.

The Met Gala appearance for Harlow comes after the release of his third studio album, Jackman, which he dropped with limited promotion, last week. On the single, “They Don’t Love It,” Harlow crowned himself the best white male rapper since Eminem. He raps, “The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters/And hold the comments ‘cause I promise you I’m honestly better/Than whoever came to your head right then/They ain’t cut from the same thread like him/They don’t study, doin’ work to get ahead like him.” Harlow is also set to make his acting debut in a 2023 adaption of White Men Can’t Jump, later this month.

As for Kendrick Lamar, he recently wrapped up his Big Steppers Tour. It finished as the highest-grossing tour with a rapper as a headlining act in history having earned $110.9 million from 929,000 tickets across 73 shows. He outpaced Drake and Migos‘ Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour, Drake and Future‘s Summer Sixteen Tour, as well as Kanye West and JAY-Z‘s Watch the Throne Tour, and more for the honor. The concerts came following the release of Lamar’s fifth album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. He brought along Baby Keem and Tanna Leone for the tour.

Teyana Taylor Said No To Pea Soup And Just Brought Chick-Fil-A To The 2023 Met Gala Instead

At yesterday’s (May 1) Met Gala, guests were served a meal of, as Vogue notes, “chilled spring pea soup with baby vegetables, lemon crème fraîche, and truffle snow, followed by Ōra King salmon with vegetable nage, asparagus, pickled strawberries, and radish–all served on vintage china.” Caterer Olivier Cheng explained, “This menu was designed to honor the late fashion icon [Karl Lagerfeld] and pay homage to his favorite foods and global palate. These dishes were created to maintain seasonality while using some of his favorite ingredients, such as King salmon. There is a sophisticated elegance to these pairings, one we feel that he would have truly enjoyed.”

To that, Teyana Taylor said no and opted to bring her own Chick-Fil-A instead.

Pusha T couldn’t believe what he was seeing, so he documented it on his Instagram Story, showing off Taylor’s plate of chicken, waffle fries, and dipping sauce. He wrote on one of the videos, @teyanataylor is embarrassing me. She brought @chicfilausa to the #MetGala. I want her away from me…#HARLEM.” In another clip, Usher looks at what Taylor has going on and does some light teasing.

This has actually become a bit of a tradition for Taylor: At last year’s Met Gala, she brought chicken from Popeyes.

A$AP Rocky Tweets At Woman He Jumped Over Ahead Of The Met Gala

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna may have been fashionably late to the 2023 Met Gala, but the soon-to-be father of two didn’t hesitate to make waves in a big way in the hours ahead of the event. While apparently on his way to get ready for his night out with the Bad Gal, the Testing rapper walked through a crowd waiting in a queue with his hood up and sunglasses on in hopes of maintaining some degree of anonymity. As he neared the end of the lineup, Rocky braced himself to jump over the waist-high gate, unfortunately using the face of a woman beside him as leverage.

In a video taken of the incident, she’s obviously angered by the confusing interaction, especially considering she’s wearing glasses that easily could’ve broken her nose, or themselves. Once A$AP turns around to reveal his identity, however, her body language immediately changes to utter shock when she realizes which famous rapper just had his millionaire hands on her face. As the footage continues to circulate online, many have been laughing at the New Yorker’s antics, while others are encouraging the woman to take legal action against him.

A$AP Rocky Surprises Fans in New York

After taking a minute to recover, the woman – who’s now been identified as @youareasapmadz on Twitter – posted about the major moment online. “A$AP ROCKY JUST USED ME TO JUMP OVER THE BARRICADE HELLO,” her first post on Monday (May 1) night reads. “A$AP Rocky just literally jumped over me,” Maddy wrote in another one, this time including a selfie so people might recognize her from the viral video.

Elsewhere on her profile, the “victim” made it abundantly clear that she has no plans to take legal action against the entertainer. “Stop asking if I’m suing A$AP,” she begged curious users. “Literally how would I do that?” Maddy asked, pointing out that she doesn’t have much of a case as she doesn’t seem to have sustained any injuries. Cardi B Went All-Out At The 2023 Met Gala, Wearing Three Different Outfits Throughout The Night

We all know how fond recording artists are of their costume changes. Over the course of a single concert, someone like Taylor Swift can wear upwards of eight different outfits onstage, with the current record held by Reba McIntyre with 15. But apparently, this isn’t confined just to their performances, as Cardi B proved at last night’s Met Gala.

Cardi, who is one of the event’s standout attendees on a yearly basis at this point, went all-out this year, paying tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld with not one, not two, but three different outfits throughout the evening. These looks included a pink-and-black skirt suit with an oversized houndstooth print and a platinum wig (an updated, mid-century housewife kind of look), a crepe mermaid gown with a Vegas showgirl flourish, and her carpet look, a midnight black ball gown with massive vinyl roses and Lagerfeld’s signature crisp white collars.

Other artists whose ensembles grabbed fans’ attention included Rihanna, who received a special dispensation from Anna Wintour to show up late, Lil Nas X, who was nearly naked and bedazzled to the gawds, and Doja Cat, who went as an actual cat, finally achieving her final form. Diddy, Lizzo, and the UK’s West African Brotherhood of Burna Boy, Skepta, and Stormzy also turned heads.

Cardi B effortlessly blended both the feminine and masculine elements of the evening’s theme. Doja Cat and Lil Nas X deliver their unique takes on a fierce feline. However, one unforeseen trio caused a flood of thirsty responses on social media. International musicians, Stormzy, Burna Boy, and Skepta, now referred to on social media s the West African Brotherhood, sported color-coordinated Burberry looks at the Met Gala had fans in love. Although the theme of the evening was centered around the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, the musicians found a way to mix elements from both fashion houses. This marks Burna Boy and Skepta’s first appearance at the Met Gala. Stormzy has previously attended the revered event.

When asked about the inspiration behind his look, Skepta told GQ, “Karl Lagerfeld was a master of suit making, and so for me, it seemed appropriate to stick to that vibe. It’s a pretty clean outfit, I’ve got some studded creeper shoes, but apart from that, it’s really slick.”

Moreover, she recently retired from tennis, which was definitely a sad moment. Although her performance was on the decline, there was this sense that an entire era was coming to an end. Her dominance was over, and now, the sport of tennis will be taken over by others. Either way, the sport is a lot better off having her be a part of it for so long.

Since retiring, Serena Williams has subsequently been able to raise her family. She has one child with Alexis Ohanian. Their child has been a fixture at various sporting events, and they have always gone viral for it. However, it seems as though Williams will now be expanding her family. We know this because on Monday, she went to the Met Gala with Alexis Ohanian, all while sporting a baby bump.
