Lil Baby Reveals Why Michael Rubin & James Harden Memes “Really Bother” Him

In the past, Lil Baby has frequently found himself at the center of jokes and memes involving his friends Michael Rubin and James Harden. According to him, however, he doesn’t find them funny at all. During a recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, he shared his take on the false narratives that have been spread online about their relationships, making it clear where exactly he stands.

“I don’t play certain types of games,” he began. “I don’t play with n****s period, on no funny weird sh*t.” Lil Baby continued, weighing in on a viral photo of him and Michael Rubin at one of the Fanatics CEO’s annual white parties. “Even when the picture came out before it went viral, I talked to him like ‘Mike, I can’t have pictures like that even though me and you playing,’” he revealed. “It’s a hundred people at the party, we’re in the middle of a hundred people. There’s nothing weird we could be doing at the party with all these people watching us.”

Lil Baby Says He Doesn’t Joke About Certain Things

“When that picture came out I literally made Mike Rubin go to his security cameras at his house, go to the footage, and get the whole time,” he added. Lil Baby says that ultimately, he decided not to post the footage, as he didn’t want to make it into a bigger deal than it already was. “I ain’t even trying to make it into this and make it into that, just keep on going,” he said. “But certain sh*t, like all that sh*t really bother me.”

This is far from all Lil Baby discussed during his recent chat with Lil Yachty. He also shared why he’d never work with a “snitch,” leading to speculation that he was referring to Gunna. “Those kinds of morals [are] never going to leave,” he explained. “I’m always gonna look at certain stuff a certain way.”

The Kendrick Lamar ‘Mustard’ Meme Is Taking Over The Internet

Kendrick Lamar 2024
pgLang

On Friday, Kendrick Lamar dropped a surprise (and Taylor Swift-free) new album, GNX. By Saturday, a meme was born. On “TV Off,” featuring Lefty Gunplay, Lamar yells “MUSTARD” — or as it’s transcribed by someone on Genius, “MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD.” Is it a reference to his favorite condiment? Possibly, but it’s also a nod to DJ Mustard, a rapper and producer who worked on GNX, as well as Lamar’s No. 1 hit “Not Like Us.”

Lamar’s “Mustard” shout out is all over the internet, including brands like McDonald’s, the Minions, and Shrek. There are Simpsons references, Peanuts-style drawings, and TikTok edits. A pastor yelled “Mustard” during a church service, as seen here, and even Lizzo got involved.

Mustard seems to be enjoying all the attention.

“I’ve been literally trying to get a song with him for years,” the producer told Billboard about Lamar. “Before I even made that beat [for “Not Like Us”], I got to a point where I was like, ‘I’m gonna send five beats a day.’ I maybe sent him five beats a day for maybe three months. I’m still doing it right now just in case he wants to record something. I sent him that beat and then I think that day I would make it a point just to go to the studio to make a couple of beats to send to him.”

He added, “I don’t think I even understood how big it was until it went No. 1. I was like, ‘This is the biggest song I ever had in my life.’ I just wanted a song with Kendrick.”

Cardi B Dismisses Rumors That She Copied Nicki Minaj’s Memes Online

Another day, another clash between the Barbz and the Bardi Gang. This time around, it’s because of a Whitney Houston meme that Cardi B used on Twitter, one that led many to believe that she was copying Nicki Minaj’s style of online pop culture reference jokes. “You sure bout that??” the Bronx femcee responded to skeptical Minaj Stans online, sharing a screenshot of a meme of the late legendary singer that she posted back in 2021. “Now go see if b***hes was posting this meme before that date.” Do bragging rights for a meme’s viral status and ownership really have a place in this rap beef?

Even if the answer is no, that’s the reality that we’re living in right now. The last clash between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj was the latter teasing laid-off employee’s at the former’s record label. “Dear fired executives & A&R’s: Don’t be mad, UPS is hiring. Also, feel free to submit your resumes for a job @ #HeavyOnIt [Nicki’s imprint with Republic Records],” she tweeted. “They’ve been wanting empty arenas so bad. Obsessed with me while all your friends r getting fired is nasty work.”

Cardi B Denies Nicki Minaj Biting

But Cardi B has bigger fish to fry, such as her newborn daughter and her nasty split from Offset, which looks like it’s for real this time. “This is around the time that I’m promoting, promoting, promoting the f**k out of ‘Enough,’” she recalled on social media when looking back at their relationship issues amid her third pregnancy. “So I’m like, damn, I’m pregnant. But I’m not really thinking much of it. Me and my baby dad, we were on very bad terms. I still called him and we kind of laughed about it because it was like, ‘What the f**k? That s**t is so random.’

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is sticking up for her marriage with Kenneth Petty. “Dear weak loser,” she retorted at a fan criticizing her for including a picture that showed Petty in a post about her son’s birthday. “Tweeting about someone else’s bday b/c you have nothing to rejoice about in your own sad existence. & clearly don’t feel loved & definitely not paid attention to due to your ugliness…”

DDG & Halle Bailey React To Halo Becoming A Hilarious Meme

At the end of last year, Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed their first child, a son named Halo. The baby arrived amid rampant pregnancy rumors, which both of them continuously denied. Since Halo’s birth, they’ve been providing fans with countless fun updates on their journey as parents. Recently, for example, one of them shared an adorable clip of him on what appears to be a train ride at the mall for kids.

He looked incredibly unsure of the situation, which social media users quickly took and ran with. It’s now a meme going viral on TikTok, as users add their own captions to the clip for hilarious results. “Me lookin at the [ninja emoji] who decided to sit by me when it’s 100 empty seats,” one of them reads. “Me looking at my bank account after a spending spree,” another says.

DDG Wonders Who Is Behind Halo Meme

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Halo’s parents to catch on, and DDG didn’t waste any time before taking to Twitter/X to weigh in. “Who made my son into a meme,” he asked alongside a series of laughing emojis before posting one of them on his page. “My son more lit than me, i love it,” he added. As for Bailey, she simply shared one of them on X with a crying laughing emoji.

This isn’t the first time Halo’s made headlines as of late, however. Back in July, he got his first lineup at just six months old. Social media users were quick to call DDG out for allowing this, arguing that it could impact his hairline. He made it clear he was unfazed by the criticism, however, urging haters to “worry ’bout your own kids.” What do you think of Halle Bailey and DDG’s son Halo becoming a viral meme? There might not be another figure in the hip-hop genre that generates more memes than DJ Khaled. You have the unforgettable quotes like, “You played yourself”, “you smart, you loyal”, and of course, “another one”. Also, you cannot forget the countless videos such as the one where he crashes the golf cart and says, “life is like Roblox”. As of recent, though, he might have another one on deck. In the clip, Khaled opens up his freezer, which reveals a stash that is almost as big as a small ice cream shop’s. It features tubs of Breyers, pints of Haagen Dazs, Ben & Jerry’s, Jeni’s, as well as dozens of other frozen treats. Before choosing his sweet snack, Khaled calls his son over, Asahd, to help him make a decision. He eventually selects an Oreo popsicle and before the video ends, someone holding the camera hands him a box of Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches (coincidence or staged?).

Drake Hit With A Flurry Of Unfortunate Jokes And Snide Comments Following Kids’ Choice Awards Announcement

During his feud with Kendrick Lamar, Drake was hit with some incredibly heavy allegations. Overall, the biggest one was that he liked underage girls. Furthermore, Kendrick accused the megastar of consistently employing sex offenders, and allowing his child around them. These are allegations that were made on songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” Eventually, Drake came out and replied to these allegations on “The Heart Part 6.”

“Drake is not a name that you gon’ see on no sex offender list, Eazy-Duz-It/ You mentionin’ A minor, but n****s gotta B sharp and tell the fans, ‘Who was it?’/ You thought you left D flat, D major,” he rapped. Unfortunately for Drake, his latest awards nomination has proven to be an unfortunate one, and there wasn’t really anything he could do about it. As Complex reported on Tuesday, he is now up for a Kids’ Choice Award. He will be battling The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Post Malone, and Usher for Favorite Male Artist.

The Best J. Cole Memes Throughout Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Beef

J. Cole chose his peace over beefing with Kendrick Lamar, leading to a truckload of memes afterward. The J. Cole memes continued as Kendrick and Drake battled each other with diss tracks. As the lyrical warfare continued, fans gradually began to understand why J. Cole didn’t want all that heat. Thus, the J. Cole memes shifted from ridiculing the “Work Out” crooner to more or less applauding his decisions, especially as the Kendrick vs. Drake beef makes its place in hip-hop’s history books.

There are too many aspects of the beef that make it genuinely remarkable. From J. Cole’s decision to quit to Kendrick and Drake going against each other diss track after track and not to forget Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” diss beat. However, the hilarious J. Cole memes also added color and humor to the beef and have come to stay. Let’s explore the best J. Cole memes that broke the internet while Drake and Kendrick Lamar feuded.

The Beginning Of The Rap Beef

On Oct. 31, 2023, Drake released the single “First Person Shooter” from his eighth studio album For All The Dogs. The track featured J. Cole, who delivered the famous bars, “Love when they argue the hardest MC, is it K-Dot, is it Aubrey or me? /We the big three like we started a league/but right now, I feel like Muhammed Ali/Huh, yeah, yeah, huh-huh, yeah, Muhammed Ali.” With those lines, J. Cole appreciated the greatness of himself, Drake, and Kendrick but emphasized his thoughts that he was the best out of the three. Those bars brought back memories of Big Sean’s “Control” featuring Kendrick and Jay Electronica. In the track, Kendrick mentioned many rappers including Drake and J. Cole and said he was “tryna murder you ni**as.” K. Dot also touted himself as the “King of New York” on the track.

Kendrick Responds to J. Cole and Disses Drake

Kendrick responded to J. Cole and Drake‘s “First Person Shooter” via a verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That” from their We Don’t Trust You album. In his verse, Kendrick rapped, “F**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches.” Later in the verse, he rapped, “Motherfuck the big three, nigga, it’s just big me.” With those bars, K.Dot showed he had come for Drake and J. Cole and duly set the rap scene ablaze, shocking many fans. Fans waited to see what Drake and J. Cole’s response would be. They didn’t have to wait long.

J. Cole Responds To Kendrick Lamar

J. Cole was the first to respond to Kendrick’s diss directly. He did so through a song on his surprise mixtape Might Delete Later. In the project’s last song “7 Minute Drill,” J. Cole addressed K. Dot’s diss, rapping, “I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissing / You want some attention, it come with extensions.” The Fayetteville, North Carolina native also rapped, “He still doing shows but fell off like The Simpsons / Your first shit was classic, your last shit was tragic / Your second shit put n***as to sleep but they gassed it / Your third shit was massive and that was your prime / I was trailing right behind and I just now hit mine.

Continuing with his response, J. Cole rapped, “He averaging one hard verse like every 30 months or something / If he wasn’t dissing, then we wouldn’t be discussing nothin’ / Blood don’t make me have to smoke this n***a ’cause I f*ck with him / But push come to shove on this mic I will humble him.

J. Cole’s Apology

After J. Cole dropped his response to Kendrick, many fans were thrilled and applauded him. However, much to their dissatisfaction, he made a U-turn. J. Cole made a public apology to Kendrick during the Dreamville Festival in North Carolina on April 7. In his apology, J. Cole said he was proud of his project, Might Delete Later, except for one part. He said, “There’s one part of that sh*t that makes me feel like, ‘Man, that’s the lamest sh*t I ever did in my f*cking life.’ And, I know this is not what a lot of people wanna hear. I can hear my n***s up there right now like, ‘Nah, don’t do that.’ But, I gotta keep it 100 with y’all. I damn near had a relapse.”

J. Cole further said he was blessed to know Kendrick and Drake. He added, “I felt conflicted ’cause I’m like, bruh I know I don’t really feel a way. But the world wanna see blood… so I say all of that to say, in my spirit of trying to get this music out, I moved in a way that spiritually feels bad on me. I tried to jab my n***a back and I tried to keep it friendly.” J. Cole emphasized that being in a rap beef disrupted his peace. He concluded by praising Kendrick, saying, “I wanna say right here tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest muthaf*ckas to ever touch a microphone? Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar correct? As do I.” J. Cole also promised to remove “7 Minute Drill” from all streaming platforms and kept to his word.

Kendrick Vs. Drake

Two weeks after J. Cole apologized, Drake released “Push Ups,” his first diss track and direct response to Kendrick, sparking their rap beef. He followed that up with the AI-generated “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Kendrick took his time to respond and did so with “Euphoria” and “6:16 In LA.” Drake came back firing with “Family Matters,” but K. Dot shot back almost immediately with “Meet The Grahams.” With Drake and Kendrick going against each other with so much heat and making various unverified allegations against themselves, fans began to see why J. Cole didn’t want to take part in a diss with Kendrick.

Thus, the memes began to change from ridiculing J. Cole to showing him at peace while his colleagues poured dirt on each other. Kendrick followed “Meet The Grahams” with the club banger “Not Like Us,” while Drake responded with “The Heart Part 6,” in which he many took as he was done with the beef. Since then, everything has quietened down but the viral J. Cole memes continue to dominate the internet.

J. Cole’s apology threatened his legacy and social media erupted with dozens of memes expressing disappointment at the rapper. The J. Cole memes changed course as the K. Dot and Drake’s rap beef progressed. After J. Cole apologized, the memes focused on how humiliating it was for him to do that and the damage it could have on his career. The best memes that typified these were from TikTokers, BasikEarth, iitz.samurai, and Karai The Curator.

However, when Drake and Kendrick’s beef heated up so much, no one was blaming J. Cole for bowing out. Instead, the J. Cole memes that went viral were of him having a good time while Drake and K. Dot traded words. The best memes that typified included X user, @Justhugee’s meme from the Spider-Man movie, X user, @@BabuVersus’s meme from “Family Guy,” and X user @timeimmemorial_’s meme from The Sopranos.

After Drake and Kendrick took a break from releasing diss tracks, TiktToker @2kold.fr shared a video that showed the ocean waves. The video then cut to her sitting next to J. Cole on a sandy beach. The rapper looked chilled in the video. He wore a black T-shirt, shorts, white socks, and sneakers and had his head phones connected to a laptop. The TikToker’s video confirmed people’s feelings that J. Cole was relaxing while Drake and Kendrick went for the kill. Eventually, most people agreed that J. Cole probably did the right thing by sitting the beef out. Do you agree?

In recent days, a new meme has started to surface, and it turns out that Lil Yachty is at the root of it.

As Know Your Meme notes, Yachty performed at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash concert in 2021, and a clip of his energetic walk out to the stage has racked up over 4.5 million views on YouTube since it was uploaded on June 2022. Here’s that video:

The unmodified video started to be used as a reaction meme here and there, but it has found new life this April, after a post from X (formerly Twitter) account @AIWarper generated some attention. The tweet includes the video, but modified, using a tool called Viggle AI, to replace Yachty with Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of the Joker.

From there, other examples have been shared online, including some featuring disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, NBA star Nikola Jokic, and King Of The Hill character Hank Hill.

A version featuring New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has gone viral in the sports world, so much so that Thibodeau was asked about it in a recent press conference. He revealed that he was originally showed the clip by one of his players, Mitchell Robinson, and that he thought Robinson himself made the video.
