Wrong dessert, Ye. Onlookers spotted the Chicago artist and his wife Bianca Censori on a date on Sunday (April 23) at a Cheesecake Factory in Topanga Westfield Mall in Los Angeles. Moreover, pictures of the two show them chowing down not on cheesecake, as expected, but on a big ice cream sundae. As the couple sat side by side in a booth, it looked like they were having a chill time together. Of course, it was a small peek into their day from people who can’t seem to leave them alone wherever they go. Still, given how elusive Kanye West and Censori are, it’s unsurprising that so many would want even the smallest peep at them.
That elusiveness is evident in everything from their behavior towards paparazzi to their outfits. Furthermore, when they went to the Fear Of God runway show recently, they went in bodysuits that covered them up entirely, and thus they attended with blank faces. Not only that, but Ye turned up to some of his music that they played at the event, like his KIDS SEE GHOSTS track “Feel The Love” and the Yeezus cut “Blood On The Leaves.” Also, in conciliatory co-parenting fashion, they attended North West’s basketball game with Kim Kardashian.

While their more recent spotting have been few and far between, Kanye currently faces a lot more issues than paparazzi harassment after a few months of seemingly irrevocable controversy. After his Donda Academy received a lawsuit from former teachers, he reportedly pulled out of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Also, an upcoming BBC documentary titled We Need To Talk About Kanye, which he isn’t involved in, will reportedly reveal a lot of information surrounding his antics and behavior. That behavior made him one of the biggest artists in the world, and the documentary will show how it became his downfall, according to producers.
However, he also recently deactivated his Instagram account, one of his various social media accounts on which he posted some bigoted and bizarre views and statements. As such, maybe Kanye West is reflecting on those actions and taking some time off to heal. Hopefully, he understands why people expressed such outrage to his rhetoric, and take a break from the media as a step towards accountability. Kylie Jenner just posted an adorable video of her son Aire eating ice cream for the first time. While it’s always cute to see celebrity parents show their kids off, it’s another to show a wholesome moment. Unfortunately, the birth of Aire came with some other news for the star couple. Just over a month ago, various outlets reported that Jenner and Scott are now single. Furthermore, Us Weekly spoke to a source that had inside knowledge on the duo’s status. “Kylie and Travis are off again, they were supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be with her family and friends up there,” they stated. “This has happened so many times before, they’re known to be on again off again, but always remain friends and great co-parents.”
After all, it’s not the first time that the media reported rumors of the two breaking up. However, recent testimonies indicate that this time might be the last time. Moreover, OK! reported a source expressing that it’s unlikely the two will link up romantically again. “[Kylie] has no idea what the future holds, but right now she doesn’t see any type of a reconciliation,” the insider remarked. “At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to Kylie is what’s best for her kids, period. She knows Travis is an amazing father and that’s the only thing that she cares about.”
“They’ve had their fair share of ups and downs,” they continued. “So friends wouldn’t be surprised at all if they got back together again at some point. E-40 announced the creation of a new soul food line for his “Goon With The Spoon” ice cream business, with the inaugural offering being a unique Chicken & Waffles ice cream flavor.
E-40 collaborated with Flock Chicken Chips to add taste, and then he independently merged restaurant-style waffles, maple syrup, and brown butter super-premium ice cream to make the amazing mixture. Solar power was used to make the ice cream a healthier alternative that does not contain artificial growth hormones.
E-40 also revealed a national distribution arrangement with Walmart to make all his ice cream available online at Walmart.com as part of the announcement.
“I’ve always wanted to create a food brand that reflects diversity and culture, so I’m truly proud to unveil my Soul Food line and my new Chicken & Waffles ice cream flavor. Culinary arts is my passion and, as a Black entrepreneur with a prominent platform, I’m committed to doing my part to bring the worlds of food, culture and entertainment together like never before.”
E-40 debuted his new ice cream line earlier this year, which includes six flavors: Cookie Dough, Bourbon Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, and Salted Caramel.
E-40 is now attempting to bring music, food, and culture together with a Soul Food expansion of the ice cream business, which includes the Chicken & Waffles flavor. In addition, the hip-hop legend promises to follow it up with a new flavor named “Black Wall Street” in 2023.
As you may know, the “Goon With The Spoon” brand name was inspired by E-40’s music repertoire. In songs like “Back in Business” and “I Get Down (with B-Legit),” he rapped about being a “Goon With The Spoon” as an original metaphor to describe his entrepreneurial hustle and ambition.
We don’t talk enough about the meteoric rise of Chance the Rapper. Just 10 years ago, Chance was known less as “the rapper” and more as Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, a Chicago high school student who had been suspended for 10-days for marijuana possession. That 10-day suspension gave Chance the opportunity to drill down and focus on his passion for rap, giving the world his debut mixtape 10 Day, a release that put Chance’s name on everyone’s radar and even garnered comparisons to fellow Chicago rapper Kanye West.
He followed up that release just a year later with the modern classic, Acid Rap, and then the beloved ColoringBook, which led to more critical acclaim, a record label bidding war, and multiple tv appearances. Chance showed up on everything from The Eric Andre Show to Ellen DeGeneres, eventually landing a dual role as host and musical guest on SNL (he was also the Obama family’s favorite rapper and regular guest). By the decade’s end, Chance would score a small role in The Lion King, befriend and collaborate with his hero Kanye West (producing Kanye’s best late-period song, “Ultra Light Beam”) and serve as the new host of the relaunched Punk’d.
Even your grandma knows who Chance the Rapper is. And while that doesn’t sound like the coolest flex, it certainly signifies just how huge Chance has really become.
If those bonafides aren’t enough to convince you, Chance has now landed the ultimate collaboration — his very own Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor — Mint Chocolate Chance. Now Lil’ Chano from 79th sits alongside other cultural giants like Jerry Garcia, Phish, and Stephen Colbert as his new flavor joins Ben & Jerry’s permanent roster of flavors.
But is Mint Chocolate Chance any good? We tried the new ice cream flavor to find out!

Mint Chocolate Chance, perhaps unsurprisingly, features a cool and refreshing mint chocolate base with chunks of brownie bites inside. Think mint chocolate chip ice cream with the chips replaced by giant pieces of soft, fudgy brownie. The flavor was apparently inspired by Chance’s childhood practice of mixing his favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream with his mother’s homemade brownies.
“It amazes me that no one thought to combine brownies and mint chocolate chip and I can’t wait to share it with everyone,” Chance said of the new flavor.
He’s right — how the hell is this a new flavor? It seems like one of the most obvious flavor combinations of all time! So it shouldn’t surprise you when I say that it works, because Mint Chocolate Chance is goddamn (forgive me Chance) delicious. The ice cream is wonderfully rich and creamy, it’s so thick and dense that it actually bent my spoon the first time I tried to scoop it out of the pint. Use an ice cream scooper. The brownies are sourced from New York’s Greyston Bakery, which prides itself on its use of real quality ingredients, and that commitment to craft shines through here.

A lot of times ice cream fillings, while always appreciated, are of subpar quality. It’s easy to hide grainy cookie dough or a subpar almond under layers of sweet, rich ice cream, who’s going to notice? Me, that’s who. So I’m really loving how good these brownie bites are, they are somehow still soft despite being totally frozen. It’s not quite as delicious as adding a warm fresh-baked brownie to your bowl of ice cream, but it comes pretty damn close. The mix of brownie and mint tastes like the best Andes mint you’ve ever had.
If your mouth is watering but ice cream is something you can only stomach a spoonful at a time, you’ll be happy to know Mint Chocolate Chance is also available in non-dairy form. The dairy-free version is made utilizing sunflower butter, which helps to keep the ice cream dense and creamy and not weird and icy like most dairy-free ice creams tend to be. The flavor isn’t quite as good though, it’s a bit duller in comparison to the OG Mint Chocolate Chance. Maybe that’s something I wouldn’t notice if I wasn’t eating them side by side, but I’m not about to sit here and tell you they taste nearly the same, they don’t really.

As is the case with most celebrity Ben & Jerry’s flavors, a percentage of sales of Mint Chocolate Chance will go to charity, in this case, Chance’s own five-year-old non-profit SocialWorks, which concerns itself with empowering Chicago youth through arts, education, and civic engagement, with programming that focuses on education, homelessness, mental health, and performing and literary arts.
Chance, who cut his teeth at open mics at libraries and after-school programs alongside fellow Chicago rapper Vic Mensa, has come full-circle in his career. Scoring his own delicious ice cream flavor from one of the most well-loved ice cream brands in the country feels like a fitting trophy as he approaches the ten-year anniversary of his first mixtape.
The Bottom Line:
A great addition to Ben & Jerry’s permanent lineup but opt for the dairy version over its less flavorful dairy-free counterpart. Imagine the thickest, creamiest mint chocolate ice cream you’ve ever had with big fudge brownies bites in each bite. Simple. Easy. Delicious.
