Meek Mill is at an impasse in 2024. He doesn’t have the cultural cache he did a decade ago. If anything, the rapper’s antics and affiliations with people like Diddy have turned him into a punchline. When Meek gets in his bag, though, he can still rap. He proves it on his new single “WHO YOU VOTING FOR?” As the title and timing of the song’s release suggest, Meek Mill is delving into the controversy surrounding the 2024 presidential election. It’s a focal point, but the rapper also uses the election as a launching pad to touch on more personal topics.
Meek Mill kicks off the song with a reference to a friend who said he was voting for Donald Trump. The rapper doesn’t condemn this friend, but he does express doubt over the former president’s character. “He said he want that stimulus,” Meek raps. “I want it too, but the way he moving venomous.” He then delves into the legal troubles of his past, and gives unexpected shout outs to both Lil Durk and Young Thug. The recency of Durk’s arrest and Thug’s release certainly gives the song an urgency it wouldn’t have otherwise. Meek Mill’s flow is impassioned, and the production really sells the earnest approach here. “WHO YOU VOTING FOR?” is not going to be a smash streaming hit, but it’s a solid showcase for Meek and it proves that he can still deliver the goods.

I did time for some coke I ain’t sell Eight n**gas on my case they had to hope I ain’t tell Dead broke, hell no I ain’t bail Had to lock me up four times on probation had to hope I ain’t fail
Jay-Z and Meek Mill launched the REFORM Alliance back in 2019, and since then, it’s continued to advocate for prison reform and more protection for the human rights of those in the criminal justice system. The alliance’s latest achievement was passing a global resolution with the United Nations to further ensure protected rights for people leaving prison, on probation, or on parole. According to a press release, REFORM worked with Costa Rica and 120 different organizations from 49 countries, and participants unanimously adopted the UN resolution advocating for the human rights of folks returning to society after jail time.
As far as what the United Nations resolution contains, it outlines concrete ideas for governments to ensure the safety and inclusion of communities everywhere. These particularly focus on re-entry support, combating the stigma of incarceration, and advocating for economic inclusion. Not only that, but this REFORM resolution has been in the works for over two years. It began publicly with a statement from 74 countries to the Human Rights Council last year. A study on effective practices followed this year, and subsequent negotiations assured its adoption.
“Too often, people coming out of prison or on supervision are treated as outcasts–their potential overlooked and their humanity ignored,” Kim Kardashian expressed concerning the Alliance’s statement. “This resolution, sponsored by Costa Rica and a diverse group of countries around the world, is a powerful declaration that no one is disposable and every person deserves human rights and a second chance. I’m proud to support REFORM Alliance and the coalition of advocates as they lead this global effort to ensure governments worldwide enact real change that lifts up those working to rebuild their lives.”
Given all the wild allegations around Jay-Z and Meek Mill these days, hearing this REFORM Alliance news is very heartening. Sometimes, the typical social media antics obfuscate the beneficial work that artists and celebrities put in behind the scenes. In the case of two rappers as massive as Hov and Meek, this is less of an issue, but nonetheless one that many overlook. Furthermore, we hope we hear more of these stories and achievements moving forward.
REFORM Alliance, in collaboration with Costa Rica and a coalition of 120 organizations from 49 countries, successfully led the adoption of a groundbreaking UN Human Rights Council (HRC) resolution. The unanimous decision marks a historic step toward protecting the human rights of individuals reentering society after incarceration and those under supervision, such as probation or parole.
The resolution provides a framework for governments to create safer, more inclusive communities by offering reentry support, reducing stigma, and promoting economic inclusion. With over 11.5 million people incarcerated globally, this initiative aims to improve reentry processes and help individuals reintegrate successfully.
This landmark resolution is the first HRC initiative to focus on human rights-based guidance for reentry and supervision. It emphasizes dignity and rejects dehumanizing terms like “criminal” and “convict,” which reinforce stigma and hinder full societal participation.
Costa Rica worked with nations such as The Gambia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, and Romania to drive this resolution, with legal expertise from Perseus Strategies. The next steps involve creating a comprehensive study and global recommendations to ensure governments worldwide uphold human rights during the reentry process.
On the resolution, advocates state: Kim Kardashian, Activist and Advocate: “Too often, people coming out of prison or on supervision are treated as outcasts–their potential overlooked and their humanity ignored. This resolution, sponsored by Costa Rica and a diverse group of countries around the world, is a powerful declaration that no one is disposable and every person deserves human rights and a second chance. I’m proud to support REFORM Alliance and the coalition of advocates as they lead this global effort to ensure governments worldwide enact real change that lifts up those working to rebuild their lives.”
Jessica Jackson, CEO of REFORM Alliance: “This historic resolution is a major victory for millions around the world who face impossible barriers to reentry after incarceration and on supervision. Governments must now take a human rights approach to supporting this population and do everything they can to help those who are turning their lives around become full productive members of society. REFORM has fought state by state, county by county, and at the federal level in the U.S. to close the critical gaps in supervision policies that leave too many people trapped. Now, we are expanding our efforts globally to ensure no one is left behind.”
Ambassador Christian Guillermet-Fernández of Costa Rica: “The unanimous adoption of this resolution represents a recognition that the reintegration of those leaving incarceration and under non-custodial measures is not merely a policy issue, but a fundamental human rights issue. It is a reflection of our shared humanity and our global commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their past, is given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society. Costa Rica is proud to have led this effort alongside the Core Group, and in partnership with REFORM Alliance, to advance a global framework for more just and inclusive societies worldwide.”
Jared Genser, Managing Director of Perseus Strategies: “This resolution sets a global precedent by addressing the need for reintegration strategies that respect human dignity and uphold human rights and not merely focus on reducing recidivism. Through our coalition’s work, we’ve shown that comprehensive support systems and people-centered policies are the keys to breaking the cycles of poverty and exclusion that keep so many trapped in the criminal legal system. This historic resolution focuses the UN human rights system on both explaining to States their responsibilities and providing specific guidance about how to implement effective social reintegration programs in practice.”
As Sean “Diddy” Combs’ racketeering and sex trafficking case continues to stun the entertainment industry, it has also given Jaguar Wright a new spotlight. The veteran singer has been a whistleblower—of sorts—for those who lean into audacious and unsubstantiated rumors. It isn’t difficult to find an interview of Wright poised on a couch, chatting about the alleged ills she’s witnessed throughout her career—or, at the very least, things she’s learned through private investigators or the grapevine. Further, there isn’t a name that’s safe from Wright’s stories that include tales of sex abuse, trafficking, drug use, violence, and intimidation. Her allegations take aim at some of the most influential players in the game, and often, Wright expounds on Diddy’s Bad Boy empire.
Some have questioned why Wright hasn’t been sued over her allegations. Others don’t believe that she has as much intimate knowledge of her peers as she presents. Still, enough people have tuned in, including Piers Morgan, who recently invited the singer to his show. While there, not only did she once again mention Puff, but she also included Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z. Wright has accused Hov of shady and violent dealings, and Diddy’s arrest has only amplified her exposure to the masses.
“For four years, I’ve been screaming not just Diddy, but Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters, and the victim-making machine kept going on,” said Wright. Morgan wanted to know why Wright believed Jay has remained tight-lipped about Combs’ case. “Because that’s what he does,” Wright answered. “He starts little fires everywhere and forces everyone to carry water while he sneaks away without a response. That changes now, Shawn. You must respond, you have no choice. Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs have one person in common professionally and privately: Shawn Carter.”
It is very clear that Wright isn’t afraid to speak her mind, whether or not the public believes her. Moreover, her ongoing interviews over the years have made for viral moments, adding themselves to Hip Hop infamy. However, some, like DJ Vlad of VladTV, don’t believe the hype. He told Piers Morgan that he thinks of Wright as a conspiracy theorist and wouldn’t invite her to his platform. Regardless, there always seems to be a media outlet poised to chat with Wright, and we’ve gathered a few outrageous allegations she’s made about rumors surrounding Diddy, his freak-off parties, and celebrity dealings.
Jaguar Wright Says She Has Been To Diddy’s Freak-Off Parties
According to Wright, she hasn’t just heard about what goes on at Diddy’s rumored “freak-off” parties—she’s attended them herself. During her chat with Morgan, Wright called the music mogul “one of the most dangerous people” she’s “ever met.” She also referred to Combs as “the devil,” claiming he has been wreaking havoc on the industry “for 30 years.” Wright also alleged rituals would take place, people were drugged, and some sex workers who attended the events wore secret cameras. Further, Wright explosively claimed, “I have my own tapes. I see what they do… Putting girls into suitcases. Dumping them in alleyways. It’s horrifying.”
“We got to stop making Diddys,” Wright added. “And if we’re going to do that, then we got to go back. We got to go back to even further: the mentors of these people. Because Diddy was taught how to do what he does systematically, and Clive Davis has been his greatest teacher.”
Alleges Nicki Minaj Has A Video Of Meek Mill & Diddy
After a viral audio clip circulated online, Meek Mill’s name was linked to gossip about Diddy’s alleged nefarious deeds. The sound was of two people, alleged to be men, having a sexual encounter. In an interview with RealLyfe Productions, an outlet that Wright regularly visits, the singer touched on the controversy. Wright alleged that it was Nicki Minaj who leaked the audio because the femcee supposedly had the actual video footage.
“He’s a f*cking fruit loop, he Diddy-fied. He’s a deep-fried f*ggot, period,” said Wright. “F*ck Meek, real rap. Yeah, that was f*cking him. F*cking Nicki put that sh*t out to hear. Goddamn Nicki recorded that at the freak-off in Calabasas. She been waiting to drop that sh*t on Meek.” Wright accused Minaj of hiding that it was Diddy on the tape; however, Meek refuted the allegations. He purported that he was being targeted because of his success and influence.
Accused Diddy Of Being Responsible For Kim Porter’s Death
Although Wright isn’t the only person who has perpetuated this rumor about Diddy and his late ex, Kim Porter, she has certainly added fuel to the fire. Conspiracy theories have surrounded Combs after several of his friends and acquaintances passed away. In a differing interview with RealLyfe Productions, Wright brought up Puff’s pre-Bad Boy career at Uptown Records. She said the label “started with five people: Andre Harrell, Al B. Sure, Heavy D, and Puffy [Diddy].” Wright added, “Kim was the longest-working employee. She was there from the very beginning; she was Andre’s personal assistant. Kim is dead, Heavy D is dead, Andre Harrell is dead, the only two left are Puffy and Al.” Then, she referenced Al B. Sure’s coma health scare. “Al almost died. Isn’t that interesting?”
“They were all writing tell-all books,” Wright continued. “Has Puffy ever been in a coma? Has anything happened to him? He must be the luckiest motherf*cker because it seems like everybody that worked at Uptown Records from the very beginning are gone. Just him.” Although Porter’s “tell-all” was recently released, the author admitted it was a work of fiction.
Said Diddy Had An Encounter With Christopher Williams
While many people that Jaguar Wright often mentions don’t come forward with a rebuttal, Christopher Williams decided to call her out after learning that his name was tied to her rumors. Wright would allege that Williams, who was a prominent singer in the 1980s and ’90s, had an oral sexual encounter with Diddy. Her quotes caught widespread attention, and Williams, obviously, wasn’t too thrilled about his name being entangled in Wright’s interview.
During his chat on Willie D Live with the Geto Boys icon, Williams categorically denied Wright’s claims. “Anybody that knows me knows that is ridiculous,” said the singer. “One person in the world alleges that I gave Puffy fellatio to get a record deal in like ‘92. I came out [singing] in ‘89, I had a record deal in ‘88.” Williams added, “If I were gay, I would be openly gay, so again, that wasn’t even the emphasis of it; it was the other stuff that was said around it.” Additionally, “Now she’s going on and on and on like she’s sure. But I’m like, ‘Bro, she’s hurting.’ I’m praying for her because we have to make a different stand and a different choice at this time. If I’m really solid, how can what she says affect me?”
Wright Claims Diddy Tapes Include Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé & More
As stated earlier, there isn’t a famous person who can hide from Wright’s accusations. In one of her interviews, she listed several famous figures as not only co-signing Diddy’s alleged abuses but as participants who have purported sex tapes with Combs or from one of his “freak-off” parties. “I believe that Barack Obama has a tape,” she alleged. When mentioning Puff’s ex-girlfriend, Wright added, “I know that Jennifer Lopez has multiple tapes.”
Then she claimed that there was a visual of Beyoncé, in addition to saying, “I definitely know, they probably recycled some old Stevie J and Eve stuff. I know Drake got a tape, I know Rihanna got a tape, I know Chris Brown is on one of them tapes. I know Trey Songz has been, like, a supporting actor in many freak-off films. Definitely Usher.” Yet, Wright alleges that the public would be “shocked” at just how many politicians and “royals” were also involved.
“I’m still trying to figure out when Harry and Meghan [Markle] are going to be honest about their freak-off tape,” Wright continued. “I don’t think anybody wants to talk about that.” Her latest interview with Piers Morgan is just the tip of the iceberg of rumors, gossip, and allegations she has made against Combs and several other industry professionals. Meanwhile, Combs remains behind bars, awaiting trial after his bond was denied. Reports of at least 120 accusers against Combs have been shared, and the public awaits on pins and needles for information about which of their favorite artists may have been named in court documents. As for Wright, despite being heavily criticized for her comments and accusations, she remains unmoved.
Meek Mill has truly had a roller coaster career. He was a rising star in the 2010s. Then he lost the Drake battle. He served prison time. Then he was released, made up with Drake, and was back. Meek Mill’s success was cut short again, though. The internet decided to turn him into a meme. It’s seemingly impossible to come across a headline on the rapper without it being negative. Bobby Shmurda talked about this unfortunate shift during a recent stint on The Danza Project podcast.
Bobby Shmurda points out that Meek Mill has been plagued by rumors about his sexuality for years. The rapper alleges that these rumors came about because Meek decided to leave his “team,” and they went and turned on him. The reason Shmurda believes this? Because he worked with the same team of people and also left. “You leave that team, they come for you,” he alleged. He claimed that labels and PR teams wield their influence in a vengeful way if someone “wrongs” them. “We own the internet, we’re gonna spread all these rumors about you,” he stated. “I’m gonna put a thousand, three thousand comments. Make them jokes, I’m gonna pay for comments on every post.”
Bobby Shmurda claims that the so-called “team” tried to spread gay rumors about him as well, but they didn’t stick they way they have with Meek Mill. He also expressed disappointment with the people who believe these rumors just because they want to see a popular artist fail. Meek Mill has, admittedly, tried to deny these rumors. He hopped on Twitter in April in an attempt to clear the air. “I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky a*s molly,” he wrote. “Nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy. No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped.”
Unfortunately, Meek Mill’s affiliation with Diddy has not helped him kill the rumors. The two men were seemingly very close in the years leading up to Diddy’s arrest. Infamously, they wore matching shirts to a party together. Bobby Shmurda doesn’t address the alleged Diddy connection in his claims about teams who slander their former artists, though. It is, admittedly, a trickier situation to navigate. Meek Mill has tried, as evidenced by a recent Twitter rant in which he offered investigators $100K to uncover the origin of his and Diddy’s alleged connection. But the internet, predictably, clowned him.
Though he’s been facing intense social media scrutiny because of a well-documented affiliation with Diddy, Meek Mill’s stock is once again on the rise musically. Over the past few weeks, he’s dropped some singles that call back to earlier points of his career. They haven’t necessarily been “prime Meek Mill” tracks, but they evoke similar feelings. “ROBBIE SON” and “CYBER TRUCK” have highlighted his skills as an MC. Now, Meek is back again with another release: “WHO DECIDES WAR.” “WHO DECIDES WAR” is a commentary on the state of the world (he likens life at home to the war in Gaza), as well as another Meek track about the dangers of street life.
The track sounds similar to something that Polo G and Lil Durk would make. Meek Mill starts the track by singing in a style very reminiscent of the latter. He then goes into the mode that made him famous. He addresses the PTSD stemming from his upbringing in South Philadelphia, telling stories about the life he used to be in. It’s not the most dynamic Meek Mill song ever, and he doesn’t say anything we haven’t already heard from him, but it is a nice change of pace from his previous singles. Meek Mill has not yet announced plans for a new solo album. The last we heard of him on a full-length release was Too Good To Be True, his joint release with Rick Ross that was over a decade in the making. Until the next big announcement, stream the latest single from the star below.
Make it out the hood, then go to the army, need nine lives Only got like four left, they tried to kill me five times They gonna laugh if you fail, but if you win, it’s high fives And you wonder why I be lookin’ all funny with the side eye I’m like who decides war? I’m at war with myself in the mirror like “Are you sure?”
Meek Mill wants his name cleared. Hitting X, he offered $100,000 to an investigative team to find evidence linking him to Diddy’s legal troubles. The message came in response to frequent accusations and jokes flying across social media.
“I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving meek mill name to ‘Diddy’ case,” Meek wrote. “I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving ‘meek’ anything to do with buddy!
“‘Something not right,’” he finished.
I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving meek mill name to “Diddy” Case…. I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving “meek” anything to do with buddy! “Something not right”
It’s not a good time to be linked to Diddy. The Bad Boy mogul is the most reviled person in music at the moment. He’s been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, and is facing a possible life sentence in prison if convicted. Meek Mill had an especially close relationship with Diddy in the years leading up to the latter’s downfall. The two artists were even seen wearing matching outfits at various events. Meek is trying to create distance between himself and the so-called “Diddler,” however. We can’t say we blame him.
Meek Mill took to Twitter on September 23 to downplay his closeness with Diddy. He went as far as to claim that he wanted to launch an investigation. The implication being that his association with the Bad Boy mogul is something that has been largely fabricated. “I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash,” he tweeted. “To find out every specific detail involving meek mill name to ‘Diddy’ Case.” Meek Mill then suggested that the powers that be are trying to take him down by connecting him to the man formerly known as Puff Daddy. “I also want them to look at who is powering the media,” the rapper explained. “Involving ‘Meek’ anything to do with buddy.”
Meek Mill is not the most cogent tweeter, but he did end things on a pointedly ominous note. He simply wrote “something not right.” He included the phrase in quotes, as though he was quoting someone else. Minutes later, the rapper doubled down on his request. “Again, I got 100k for a thorough investigation of who’s powering and how exactly my name connect to this,” he wrote. Meek Mill also took the additional space afforded him to assert that he’s not involved in any of Diddy’s alleged criminal behavior. “Streets know wassup with me thats not the case,” Meek asserted. “We talking about business side, somebody powering these bad campaigns.”
Meek Mill’s assertions did not do much to dissuade fans. The rapper has been photographed with Diddy in countless social situations over the years. There was also reference to a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj in court documents involving Diddy back in March. The specificity of these identifiers point to Meek Mill, but the rapper insisted it wasn’t him. He fired back at fans on Twitter by claiming he was not in Diddy’s company during the specific dates cited in the documents. Time will eventually prove whether he is telling the truth.
Meek Mill is one of many artists who have given their take on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef without outright participating in it, which is honestly harder than it sounds. After all, most people remember Rick Ross’ hilarious IG roasts of The Boy more than they do his “Champagne Moments” diss track. Nevertheless, Meek’s never been one to take either side ever since “Like That” dropped, instead choosing to praise both artists. “Nah I f**k with drake he cool,” he responded to a fan’s inquiry on Friday (September 20). “Him and Kendrick beef has nothing to do with me I fw k dot too I have all their disses on my playlist right now.”
Of course, this is pretty ironic given Meek Mill’s squashed beef with Drake and his place among the ten rappers that Kendrick Lamar competitively challenged on “Control” 11 years ago. But as he indicated in this latest tweet, he’s just a fan of the back-and-forth hip-hop displays that these two rivals engaged in this year, dropping freestyles of his own for both “euphoria” and “Family Matters.”
But as you probably already know, Meek Mill’s social media presence became much more notable in past months for reasons completely unrelated to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle. His alleged connection to the Diddy scandal, whether as an alleged victim or alleged participant, resulted in a lot of jokes, jabs, and attacks that came his way online. “I will personally give you a million dollars if these stories add up in anything weird …” the Philly rapper tweeted frustratedly on Thursday night (September 19). “it’s 2 things we can’t do in the trenches … it’s no way yall know what type of man I am. #cybertruck at 12 tap in lil buddy!”
Meanwhile, as for the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, it looks like Meek Mill and the rest of us can finally deem it dead and buried. Now, most of the conversation that puts them in opposition to each other revolves around K.Dot’s Super Bowl halftime show and whether or not this was a direct jab at Young Money. But as far as the bars that Meek and so many of us love, there are no Round 2s.
Ever since around the Lil Rod lawsuit against Diddy, folks have berated Meek Mill with a lot of attacks, jokes, and assumptions regarding his connection to the music executive. Moreover, while he continually denied any involvement, people continue to accuse him of having sexual relations with him. This is sad because people are focusing on the Philly rapper’s alleged sexuality as if it was a problem instead of the Bad Boy mogul’s alleged crimes. Nevertheless, when Meek asked a question about why many folks are stepping down as CEOs, people clowning him in the replies eventually led to a pretty lucrative offer on his behalf.
“I will personally give you a million dollars if these stories add up in anything weird …” Meek Mill tweeted on Thursday night (Septmeber 19). “it’s 2 things we can’t do in the trenches … it’s no way yall know what type of man I am. #cybertruck at 12 tap in lil buddy!” Meek hasn’t really commented much on the matter as of late though, and it’s anyone’s guess as to why. But we imagine he’s probably tired to death of all the jokes at this point.
The last public clowning that Meek Mill experienced came from Wack 100, who flippantly addressed the whole thing on multiple occasions at this point. Meek’s called him out on Twitter every single time, and Wack’s responded by posting alleged audio of his and Diddy’s supposed sexual interactions. We wonder how this discourse will evolve now that Sean Combs is officially behind bars and awaiting trial, but we can’t imagine it will change much. After all, this story is still as salacious, debatable, and explosive as it’s ever been, even if people hyper-fixate on other celebrities’ alleged involvement rather than the weight of the accusations themselves.
Meanwhile, the last Diddy update we got concerns an alleged claim from the late Kim Porter about Diddy’s alleged relationships with young boys. This comes from an alleged compilation of diary entries she supposedly wrote about their relationship, bringing up then-18-year-old superstars and rappers that he previously managed. But the book’s publisher provided no solid proof that these were actually Porter’s letters, so take that with a grain of salt.
