Beyonce & Jay-Z Support Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Debut Looking Regal AF

Beyonce may be in the midst of her career’s biggest stadium tour so far, but that doesn’t mean she won’t make time in her schedule to support Pharrell Williams. The mother of three was just one of the many famous faces who sat front row in Paris on Tuesday (June 20) to watch the producer and designer unveil his first collection as the leader of Louis Vuitton’s menswear brand. The job was previously held by the late Virgil Abloh, leaving Williams with some serious big shoes to fill. Thankfully, he seems to have pulled off a presentation that’s earning him promising reviews.

Joining Bey at the highly anticipated event was her husband, Jay-Z. The pair – who purchased the most expensive home in California history earlier this spring – looked as regal as ever, the Houston native seemingly putting this past weekend’s on-stage faux pas behind her to focus on Pharrell. As many social media users have pointed out, Beyonce is undoubtedly exhausted after giving it her all on stages across Europe for the past month and looking like a billion dollars in the process. To conceal any tiredness that may appear in her eyes, she shielded them with some of the largest shades we’ve seen her wear.

Other stars who were spotted at the show include Euphoria actress Zendaya, Tyler, The Creator, Megan Thee Stallion, and Anitta. Of course, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky were there too which we’ve been expecting ever since the Bad Gal appeared in recently released campaign photos for the new collection.

Ahead of the big show, Pharrell markedly shared some of his thoughts on the work he’s done. “Every day, I gotta pinch myself because it’s an appointment, and I was chosen,” he humbly told WWD. “Pietro saw something, and I’m touched by that and I honour that every day.”

Pusha T In Awe Over Pharrell’s New Watch

Paris fashion week kicked off today with the Louis Vuitton show taking place tonight. While many have been citing the various celebrities who’ve shown up like Jay-Z and Beyonce, and Zendaya, there’s also plenty of fashion to behold. Pharrell is making his debut as lead designer of Louis Vuitton’s Menswear with a new line that was debuted today. He took over the position last year following the role staying unfilled for a while after the death of Virgil Abloh. As you’d expect from somebody with as many celebrity friends as Pharrell, the stars came out for his show.

In a video currently going viral, Pusha T reacts to Pharrell’s absolutely insane new watch. The minimal and technical looking piece is a collaboration between Ferrari and Richard Mille. In the video Pusha T expressed his disbelief at how thin the watch is, comparing it to a “credit card.” The video is making the rounds not just for Pusha T’s hilarious reaction but also people’s judgements of the piece itself. Many in the comments claim its another example of how people will buy anything with a designers name on it.

Pusha T And Pharrell In Paris

The celebs have shown out for Pharrell and the Louis Vuitton fashion show. Pictures are still coming in but Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, and more have already been spotted. In an interview before the show Pharrell seemed more than ready to step into Virgil’s big shoes. “Every day, I gotta pinch myself because it’s an appointment, and I was chosen,” he explained. Last week he revealed that Rihanna was his choice for the face of his upcoming line.

Pharrell has managed to keep busy in both fashion and music recently. On top of dropping a new track of his own last week, he also took part in the 10th anniversary celebration of Daft Punk’s final album Random Access Memories. What do you think of Pharrell’s new watch and Pusha T’s hilarious reaction to it? Let us know in the comment section below.

Pharrell Williams Reveals How He Feels About First Louis Vuitton Collection

Pharrell Williams is one of the greatest producers of our generation. Moreover, he is now embarking on a wild journey in the fashion world. He is now the new creative director of Louis Vuitton. Of course, this is a position that Virgil Abloh once held. Overall, there is a lot of pressure to perform, especially when you consider that Pharrell has never had this kind of experience before. It is a completely new position for him, but he is more than eager to show people what he can do.

Today, the renowned artist is in France for Paris Fashion Week. Later tonight, he will be able to show off his very first collection with Louis Vuitton. This new collection is being guided by Nicolas Ghesquière who is the artistic director. That said, while speaking to WWD, Pharrell expressed his excitement for the new role and new collection. “Every day, I gotta pinch myself because it’s an appointment, and I was chosen,” Pharrell Williams explained. “Pietro saw something, and I’m touched by that and I honor that every day.”

Pharrell Williams Speaks

While this is an exciting time for the artist, there are those who are doubting he can do the job. His experience in a role like this one is almost non-existent. However, he is still confident that he can surprise a lot of people. “I didn’t go to Central Saint Martins, but I also didn’t go to Juilliard either in music and I mean, we see how that turned out,” Pharrell said. “It’s cool. That’s a very fair observation. But neither did Vivienne Westwood, right? Tadao Ando was self-taught. I mean, he’s the GOAT, right? I only aspire to express myself.”

Pharrell has always been someone who has embedded himself in fashion. Whether it be BAPE, Adidas, or Billionaire Boys Club, Pharrell is someone who has dabbled in everything. Hopefully, he is able to have a successful run with Louis Vuitton, a historic brand that has been around for decades. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world and beyond.

Rihanna Stays Booked & Busy As The Face Of Pharrell’s First Louis Vuitton Men’s Campaign

After the shock of Virgil Abloh’s sudden tragic passing in November 2021 wore off, fashion lovers couldn’t help but wonder who would replace him as creative director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear division. Some previously thought that his long-time contemporary, Kanye West, might get the job. However, his controversial antics at the time may have caused the brand to distance itself from him, and instead select Pharrell Williams. The producer’s new role was officially announced in February, and more recently we reported that he’ll be making his runway debut at the quickly approaching Paris Fashion Week.

Ahead of the show, Skateboard P is making big moves on Instagram. In the early hours of Thursday (June 15) morning, he lit up Instagram with a new photo from the City of Love, where he proudly poses in front of a new LV billboard featuring Rihanna. In the massive photograph, the “Umbrella” singer carried a collection of colourful baggage worn on her arms, cooly holding a coffee in her hand while showing off her baby bump under a leather jacket.

Among them are Lindsay Lohan, Lil Tjay, Tobe Nwigwe, and Busta Rhymes. He’s obviously no stranger to the world of fashion and has plenty of experience from working on Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Footwear with Nigo, as well as on Human Race with Adidas. Pharrell Unveils Rihanna As The Star Of His First Campaign As Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director

Pharrell was introduced as Louis Vuitton’s next Men’s Creative Director on February 14, stepping into the role previously held by the late Virgil Abloh until his November 2021 passing. Louis Vuitton shared in a press release at the time that Pharrell’s first collection in his new role would be showcased during Men’s Fashion Week in June. Now days away, Pharrell just laid a megawatt breadcrumb.

“LOUIS VUITTON MEN Spring-Summer 2024,” Pharrell captioned an Instagram photo showing him posing in front of a larger-than-life photo of Rihanna, presumably the face of the campaign.

In the photo, Rihanna is strutting effortlessly with a coffee. She’s draped in duffel bags, framing her bare pregnant stomach. (She and ASAP Rocky are expecting their second child, as revealed during her Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance.)

Predictably, notable people are gushing over Rihanna in the comments section. Lindsay Lohan simply left a hearts-as-eyes emoji, while Busta Rhymes commented with eight crown emojis. Sam Smith also went the emoji-only route, with a red heart and fire.

Complex relayed that it had “reached out to Louis Vuitton reps for comment on the Rihanna campaign” and will update accordingly.

Upon Pharrell’s appointment in February, Louis Vuitton had plenty to say.

“I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men’s Creative Director,” Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari said in a statement. “His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter.”

Pharrell Williams will unveil his debut collection for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week, next month. With the schedule for the week being released, the fashion house will showcase its newest designs on June 20 at 8:30 PM, local time. In addition to Pharrell overseeing the creative direction, artistic direction is credited to Nicolas Ghesquière.

“Since 1854, Louis Vuitton has placed fashion in the context of culture bringing unique designs to the world, combining innovation with style and uncompromising quality,” read a statement from the designer.

He continued: “Today, the Maison remains faithful to the spirit of its founder, Louis Vuitton, who invented a genuine ‘Art of Travel’ through luggage, bags and accessories which were as creative as they were elegant and practical.” Prior to being at Louis Vuitton, Pharrell worked with Nigo to create the streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in the early 2000s. He also worked with Adidas on numerous occasions as well as several other brands.

Louis Vuitton announced Pharrell as its new Men’s Head Designer back in February, earlier this year. In accepting the role, he became the first in the position since Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November 2021. Following the brand’s announcement, they wrote in a statement: “Pharrell Williams is a visionary whose creative universes expand from music to art, and to fashion – establishing himself as a cultural global icon over the past twenty years. The way in which he breaks boundaries across the various worlds he explores, aligns with Louis Vuitton’s status as a Cultural Maison, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneer spirit, and entrepreneurship.” Many voices in hip-hop celebrated the feat including Pusha T, Jim Jones, as well as Juelz Santana, and more. Be on the lookout for Pharrell’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton on June 20.
