DJ Khaled, Lil Baby, Future, And Lil Uzi Vert Remind Their Ladies How They’re ‘Supposed To Be Loved’ On Their New Single

DJ Khaled can’t stop working. Yesterday (August 10), the prolific DJ and producer announced his 14th album, Til Next Time, which will arrive as part of a new partnership between Khaled’s We The Best Music and Def Jam Recordings. Tonight, Khaled has shared the first single from the album, “Supposed To Be Loved.”

On “Supposed To Be Loved,” Khaled is joined by melodic rappers Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert, who lean into their vocal stylings as they seek to spoil their ladies.

“I’m tryna love you like you ‘posed to be loved / She know I’m a thug, she don’t treat me like no rapper / See you comin’ up, I can make that shit faster,” sing Future and Lil Baby on the song’s catchy earworm of a chorus.

Over the years, Khaled has proven that he’s pretty much guaranteed to drop a contender for the song of summer. Though “Supposed To Be Loved” arrives rather late in the summer, Khaled holds up his track record.

You can listen to “Supposed To Be Loved” above.

Til Next Time is due later this year via We The Best Music and Def Jam Recordings.

DJ Khaled Will Reconnect With Future, Lil Baby, And Lil Uzi Vert On Their Upcoming Single, ‘Supposed To Be Loved’

DJ Khaled has announced his next album, Til Next Time, as well as the release date for its first single, “Supposed To Be Loved.” “Supposed To Be Loved” is due on Friday, August 11 (that’s tomorrow), and will feature Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert — three artists with whom Khaled has worked extensively in the past. The announcement was made with an over-the-top trailer featuring Khaled and his sons playing golf, with Khaled chipping in an impressive (and unlikely) shot and cartoonishly whacking a drive all the way to Rome.

DJ Khaled and Future have a plethora of songs together going back a decade beginning with “Bitches & Bottles (Let’s Get It Started)” from his 2012 album Kiss The Ring. That song also featured Lil Wayne and T.I. Since then, they’ve collaborated over a dozen more times, including on last year’s God Did single, “Big Time,” which also featured Lil Baby. Future also teamed up with SZA on “Beautiful.”

Lil Baby popped up a few more times in Khaled’s discography, starting with 2019’s Father Of Asahd. He featured on two songs on that album, “You Stay” featuring J Balvin, Jeremih, and Meek Mill, and “Weather the Storm” With Meek Mill. On God Did, he had another two features, “Big Time” and “Staying Alive” with Drake.

However, “Supposed To Be Loved” will actually mark DJ Khaled’s first time working with Lil Uzi Vert, who was the first rap artist of 2023 to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Lil Uzi Vert Couldn’t Believe Their Eyes When A Magician Made Pop-Tarts Appear Out Of Thin Air

Congrats to Lil Uzi Vert, whose Pink Tape, their daring and rewarding third album, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It also became the first rap album to claim No. 1 on the chart in 2023. That seems like child’s play compared to what Uzi encountered during their GQ Hype photoshoot.

During the shoot, the Philly-bred artist was met by Anna DeGuzman, a cardist, mentalist, and magician, who was able to correctly guess that Uzi is allergic to chocolate and that they were thinking about Pop-Tarts, their favorite snack. DeGuzman made Pop-Tarts appear out of thin air, which Uzi ate, admitting, “I’m scared.”

Next, DeGuzman performed a few mind-boggling card tricks before asking Uzi for their phone. DeGuzman asked Uzi to “count from zero to nine out loud” and (yet again) flawlessly guessed the passcode for Uzi’s friend’s phone.

Once the phone was unlocked, DeGuzman used the calculator app for her next trick. She asked Uzi’s friend how old they were when they met (23) and multiplied that by how many albums Uzi has to their name (three). That was then combined with how much Uzi’s bracelet cost (300,000) and how much they have in their bank account right now.

“We got a random number. I don’t want to know what it is. We added, divided, subtracted, multiplied, everything,” DeGuzman said. Without looking at the phone, she guessed that the result was a seven-digit number. Uzi conceded that the number started with seven, leading to DeGuzman correctly guessing 7,311,995.

“Does that number mean anything to you?” DeGuzman asked Uzi.

“Yeah, I see it,” Uzi said, bewildered.

When separated, the number is Uzi’s birthday: July 31, 1995.

JT Called Out Lil Uzi Vert’s Rumored Former Fling On Twitter For Being A ‘Lame Ass Hoe’ Begging For Attention From The Rapper

JT’s latest single may be titled “No Bars,” but the rapper had endless zingy one-liners for her partner Lil Uzi Vert’s former fling. According to a Twitter Voice message recorded by JT, a woman named Saudiah B has been attempting to grab the attention of Uzi.

“A have to do a voice note for this lame ass b*tch because it’s too much to type. This b*tch done built up the courage to write me back three years later. You lame ass hoe,” he says in the recording, referring to a series of tweets from the woman.

Lil Uzi Vert’s mention of the woman in his 2020 Future duet “Marni on Me” led some fans to believe that she was romantically linked to him, although Uzi and JT were, in fact, a couple. The lyrics in question read, “You know I got the racks on me (whoa, whoa) / Swag like Saudiah B (Saudiah B) / Swaggin’ on your ho like B (yeah, yeah) / Still got Rick my feet (my feet).”

After JT was caught on camera throwing her phone at Uzi, vowing to end their relationship during the 2023 BET Awards. However, it seems like the couple quietly worked through their issues. However, one of Lil Uzi Vert’s rumored ex-lovers didn’t quite get the memo, or so JT believes.

In a note posted to Saudiah’s page, she addressed the rumors, writing, “I was gonna leave it alone, but since you think it’s okay to play with me on social media…Again f*ck it! You constantly run with this side b*tch narrative which you know isn’t true. You dm’d me, stalked me down in the mall, etc. Any chance you get, you crash out literally (you know what I’m talking about). I don’t and have not dealt with Uzi. I know it takes a village, but keep it cute. I’m clearly a trigger, but from here on out, when my name is mentioned, skip over it!”

Following her tweet, JT didn’t hold back from giving her side of the story.

Her friend and group member, Yung Miami, chimed in to stop JT from addressing the young lady, tweeting, “Stop arguing with that hoe @ThegirlJT. Uzi didn’t do nothing for her, and neither can you! Leave a b*tch where they pathetic at!”
