Usher Serenades Saweetie Amid Keke Palmer Drama, Twitter Reacts

Recently, Saweetie attended Usher’s Las Vegas residency. Usher serenaded the “Icy Grl” rapper with his song “There Goes My Baby.” As the performer prompted Saweetie to sing along, however, she refused. She simply shouted “Baby” into the mic, getting social media users talking. Some think it appears as though Saweetie simply didn’t know the song’s lyrics, while others insisted she was attempting to steer clear of replaying the recent Keke Palmer controversy.

“Nope I don’t like the energy,” one Twitter user writes, “She either don’t know the song or just not feeling his performance. SOMETHING.” “They both purposely not making it a huge scene cause of the backlash,” another notes. Others claim that Usher is “on a mission” to disrupt relationships everywhere with his residency.

Saweetie Doesn’t Want To Sing Along

Recently, Keke Palmer attended Usher’s residency, being serenaded herself. She appeared to be living it up, sharing various clips of her enjoying the show on social media. The father of her child, Darius Jackson, wasn’t too happy about Usher’s hands-on performance. He then took to Twitter to shame Palmer for what she was wearing, reminding her that she’s a mother. Jackson received a tremendous amount of backlash for his comments, with many claiming that he was in the wrong for speaking up.

He later responded to the backlash with another Tweet. “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote. “This is my family & my representation,” he continued, ” “I have standards & morals to what I believe.” Amid the drama, Jackson deleted all of his social media accounts, returning shortly after with Palmer scrubbed from his feed. Fans also noticed that the two no longer follower each other, fueling speculation that the couple might have broken up.

Usher Serenades Fan During Sensual Performance

One very lucky Usher concertgoer got the experience of a lifetime when the R&B singer entered the audience and began serenading her. A TikTok posted by the fan showed the encounter with text reading “When you go see Usher and this happens…” Trina, or @trina331 as she is known on TikTok, also thanked Usher in the caption of the post. The singer has been performing his greatest hits at his My Way Las Vegas residency, which opened in 2021. The fan interaction is just one of many memorable moments that have happened at the residency, including bringing Chris Brown on stage and paying tribute to Queen Latifah.

Usher has long been seen as a sex symbol in the world of R&B. His diamond-certified 2004 album Confessions had a stranglehold on pop culture for years. In fact, if you’re out partying, you are likely to hear his hit single “Yeah!”. The song spent 12 weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it was only knocked out of the top spot by Usher’s next single, “Burn”. Last year, the iconic singer was referred to as the “King of R&B” by Bevy Smith on her show Bevelations. In response, Usher said he would carry the crown and that he was the last of his kind. It’s a bold claim, but he does have an impressive resume to back it up.

Up Close And Personal With Usher

Usher is an artist who has often given the gift of fan service, frequently bringing fans on stage in previous tours to dance with them. In fact, the TikTok video from his residency, which shows him slow dancing with a fan and feeding her chocolate-covered strawberries, is quite tame in comparison to some of his previous fan encounters. In videos from his 2010 OMG Tour, he can be seen grinding on fans during performances of the song “Trading Places”. Still, any fan would likely consider themselves blessed to have such a personal interaction with their favorite artist.

Although R&B has long since lost the once immeasurable popularity it held in the early aughts, Usher seems to have plans to revitalize the genre. How he plans to do that remains to be seen, but the days of sultry ballads and love songs may not be over quite yet. If the ticket sales for his Vegas residency are any indication, there is clearly still an audience for R&B. The advent of streaming also means that radio no longer determines what is popular. So, while R&B may never quite reach the heights it once did, there is certainly room for a resurgence.

Adele & Rich Paul Engagement Rumours Fly After Singer’s Seen Wearing Diamond Ring: Report

Since making a bold return with her 30 album in 2021, Adele has been spending plenty of time in the spotlight. Though she won’t be touring around the nation as many other artists do in the wake of releasing a project, she did earn a prestigious Las Vegas residency where fans have been able to watch her perform. As you may recall, the initial kickoff to the series of concerts was rough, with the English vocalist revealing that production delays and the COVID-19 pandemic were to blame for her decision to postpone her shows.

While she clearly had reasons for moving her scheduled dates, at the time, many speculated the real reason for all the drama had to do with Adele’s relationship. Sources claimed that the mother of one and Paul were going through a rough patch and that she spent most of her time in rehearsal crying. Despite last year’s tragic situation, though, the couple appears to be happier than ever as of late.

Adele’s Wild Road to Residency

Last January, Adele faced her fears head-on and explained her residency dilemma in an emotional Instagram video. “I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute,” she said through tears. “We’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that travelled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.”

In February 2022, the “Chasing Pavements” artist shut down gossip about feuding with her man on Twitter while announcing a huge TV sitdown with Graham Norton. “Oh, and Rich sends his love,” she cheekily added at the end of the message, making it clear her relationship was in a rock-solid place. Weeks later, engagement rumours ran rampant as Adele went to the annual BRIT Awards with an unmissable diamond ring on her finger.

Past rumours about Paul’s alleged proposal may not have been true, but according to gossip blog DeuxMoi, the pair may have actually taken their relationship to the next level recently. “Per my very reliable sources, I can confirm that yes, Adele and Rich Paul are planning a summer wedding!” they wrote on their Story on Sunday (February 27).

As DailyMail reports, the news comes after the blonde beauty was seen wearing a huge diamond ring, once again, at her concert earlier this weekend. It seems to be the same one from last year’s BRITs, though we’re still waiting for confirmation from the lovers themselves. Over the past few months, we’ve seen the foreign artist and her beau stepping out together frequently, from their date night at the Grammys to the Super Bowl in Arizona. Usher Names Which Of His Albums Was The “Birth Of Toxic R&B”

He’s been belting out hits since childhood, and Usher’s talents have inspired several charting artists who came after him. The R&B icon is still making records and releasing singles—but these days, he’s wearing the crown of the R&B King of Las Vegas. His residency has received rave reviews, including many from his peers. It’s reported that fans will still have the opportunity to catch the “My Way” hitmaker in Sin City as 15 more dates have been added to his residency.

To further promote his time in Vegas, Usher recently caught up with GQ. He chatted about the show and the various stages of his career, including recent years that he has called “frustrating.” Usher said, “It’s not Hip Hop enough, it’s not current enough, it’s not TikTok savvy, it’s not memeable. That sh*t can be frustrating for an artist who is all about passion. I literally want to go and sing and perform for audiences.”

However, he isn’t dismayed. “I’m feeling inspired again, to now launch new music and also to continue to keep this phenomenon going,” Usher noted. “It’s just really been about [a] celebration of entertainment, celebration of the standard that was set by these incredible guys who inspired me.” These entertainers include Michael Jackson, Gene Kelly, and Prince.

One of his most celebrated albums is Confessions, his 2004 chart-topper that spawned several classic singles. Usher recognizes the project’s influence and how audiences continue dissecting its impact. “The conversation, the music, the entertainment, the dialogue, the energy around it. The toxic R&B of it. Because [it] was the birth of toxic R&B.”

Usher Defines “Toxic”

He then offered an explanation. “Yo, but by the way, toxic was just being honest,” he added. “It’s how you choose to say it.” Confessions, for the singer, was about being truthful regarding relationship and the issues that come from making ill-thought-out decisions. Now, “toxic” holds a different meaning. “Toxic now is like: I’m f*cked up and I’m just sayin’ I’m f*cked up, and that’s it, with no remorse,” said Usher.

Adele Reveals Struggles With Sciatica Condition During Las Vegas Show

Her Las Vegas residency is a huge hit, and Adele has shined from one performance to the next. The string of performances initially suffered a delay due to unforeseen circumstances, and it was something that a tearful Adele addressed in a social media post. With that all behind her, the singer may have recently hinted why she had previously pushed back her residency. She spoke about a health condition that causes extreme pain.

The Daily Star shared a blurry snippet of one of Adele’s recent shows where she discussed struggling with a condition that affects her sciatica. She slowly moved from one side of the stage to the other. “I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica,” she told the crowd.

Sciatica pain can last days to weeks as the nerve which runs from the lower back downward may be compressed. People have felt numbing or sharp pains that could be felt in one’s back, legs, or feet.

In 2021, Adele revealed that she hurt her back after sneezing. The event caused her to suffer a slipped disc.

“I’ve been in pain with my back for, like, half of my life, really,” she said at the time. “It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture.”

Meanwhile, it seems Adele and her boyfriend Rich Paul’s romance has been heating up. The couple has faced several allegations of being on the brink of a breakup, but they’ve persevered through the rumors. There has also been gossip about these two potentially being engaged, and when asked, Adele didn’t bring much clarity.

“Well, I’m not married,” she said.

The groundswell of interest for the Vegas residency coincided with a 25th Anniversary Edition release of My Way this past September.

Travis Scott Announces The ‘Road To Utopia’ Las Vegas Residency

Travis Scott has been slowly ramping up his performance schedule following last year’s Astroworld tragedy, but now it seems as though the “Sicko Mode” rapper is pushing forward full steam ahead. Scott just announced a residency in Las Vegas called “Road To Utopia” that begins on September 17th at the Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas.

If Zouk sounds familiar, this is where Scott made a surprise appearance following the 2022 Billboard American Music Awards show at the MGM Grand in May.

“Travis had a surprise performance at the club and the energy in the room was amazing,” Ronn Nicolli, the CMO of Resorts Las Vegas said in a statement captured by Billboard. “The crowd was shocked to see Travis suddenly appear on stage. We had such a great experience working with him and the team, and we knew he would be a perfect fit within the Zouk family.”

The club touts Scott’s residency as a “mind-bending, first-of-its-kind nightclub residency experience.” It utilizes high-tech audiovisuals, including the “Mothership” lighting system with a roving ceiling turns the room into a kaleidoscope of sorts. Scott will join other artists who also have residencies at Zouk, like Zedd, Tiesto, G-Eazy, DJ Snake, and others. It’s a fairly decorated list for the club that hasn’t even been open for a year yet.

Scott is slated to make seven appearances at Zouk, with tickets for the first show on September 17th already on sale. Curiously, general admission tickets are $50 for “ladies” and $75 for “gentlemen.” Scott’s residency is slated to continue beyond 2022 as well.
