Kodak Black In Federal Prison, Miami-Dade County Website Suggests

Kodak Black’s recent arrest for drug possession apparently landed him in federal prison, according to Miami-Dade County’s website. Moreover, NBC 6 reported that violated his probation terms as a result of this detainment, which has only further complicated this legal process. For those unaware, the rapper already faced a lot of charges in the past, multiple parole violations, and added antics that exacerbate the effects of previous arrests. As such, it is sadly unsurprising to hear that the court has not yet indicated when he will be able to leave, although his next hearing is scheduled for December 19. At least the Pompano Beach native was able to attend Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s Miami rave for their collab album Vultures earlier this week following bond.

Furthermore, the last update we got on Kodak Black’s legal case was his attorney Bradford Cohen clearing up the aforementioned drug bust. While many reports indicated that he had cocaine at the time, his lawyer denied these claims and said that it was Percocet, instead. This suggests that this will be a pretty contentious and conflictive legal battle if the “Roll In Peace” MC decides to fight for his side of the story in court. After all, this conflicts what the official arrest report read, so there are a couple of moving parts here which could prove to be misdirections.

In other news, Kodak Black denied messing with cocaine, admitted to lean use, and blasted people calling him a “junkie” during a recent Instagram Live session. “I was on the lean,” he expressed. “I was asleep in front of my family house. That’s it. That ain’t illegal. To be talking about cocaine? Hell no. F**k no. Bogus as f**k. [Percocet] was my medicine prescribed to me,” the 26-year-old shared before going into his rehab stint and his addiction habits.

Meanwhile, Yak has another baby on the way, which is at least a big sliver of joy amid a difficult time. Boosie Badazz Calls Out Kodak Black For Sampling Him Amid Their Beef

Boosie Badazz and Kodak Black have some pretty contentious and, as of very recently, financially contingent beef to handle. Moreover, the former called out the latter on Sunday (November 19) for sampling his track “Let Me Ease Ya Mind” on his new song, “Eaze Your Mind.” While it’s not a direct interpolation or sample, the Baton Rouge MC still thinks that his Floridian rival took too much liberty with this cut. Furthermore, he blasted Yak both in tweet form and with a video uploaded to social media going over his grievances. In both instances, the 41-year-old made it clear that, even if they don’t get along, they could’ve still made money together.

“DAM @kodakblack,” Boosie’s tweet read, which linked the music video for Kodak Black’s record. “EVEN THO WE FELL OUT WE COULDA DID FAIR BUIZNESS #justbuizness.” For those unaware, the two were most recently at odds due to Kodak’s decision to collaborate with 6ix9ine on a song. Badazz wasn’t very approving of this, as he sticks to a pretty stringent and very vocal anti-snitch philosophy that, in his opinion, should keep any and all MCs out of the rainbow-haired provocateur’s way.

“Kodak…” Boosie’s video response began in a sing-song voice. “I ain’t trippin’. On my kids, bro, you gotta respect it, man. I ain’t trippin’, y’all trippin’. Stay tuned. I’ll be posting more in six hours.” It’s unclear what exactly he means by this, as he gave no indication to how he will keep this going or whether things will escalate. Still, we’d bet on this not becoming a prettier sight to see. After all, the Trill Entertainment affiliate just threatened Rod Wave with legal action for sampling one of his tracks without permission.

Kodak Black Blasts Latto For Not Clearing His Name In Sexual Favors Accusation

Kodak Black’s Drink Champs appearance yielded a lot of interesting reflections, bombshell statements, and moments of controversy. What might be the most direct and confrontational of them all, though, might just be his new feud with Latto stemming from their collaboration on her 2022 album, 777. Moreover, for those unaware, she had confessed that it was difficult to get an artist (that she kept anonymous) on the album because they wanted sexual favors in order to clear it. Then, fans online assumed that the femcee was talking about Yak, and he just came through with another response to the whole ordeal. According to him, Latto failed to clear his name after Internet accusations went wild, but this brings us no closer to the actual truth.

Basically, the conversation stemmed when N.O.R.E. was doing his typical “this or that” questions to Kodak Black. When asked to pick between Ice Spice and Latto, he sided with the Bronx MC because of the aforementioned situation. Overall, it’s a pretty difficult one to pin down, especially within the “he said, she said” framework that it falls under right now. However, this is far from the first time that Kodak has publicly addressed this issue.

“This whole s**t looked like a damn plot,” Kodak Black expressed during a rant back when Latto beat him out at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards for “Song of the Year.” “Then I look at the ‘gram like what shorty blocked me for? They probably hollerin’ at BET, like don’t give him that s**t. I told [people] weeks ago, ‘Watch, they finna play with me and give it to frappuccino.’” On her end, the Atlanta-based hitmaker used that “frappuccino” title as a brief branding opportunity, clearly showing her unfazed status in the public eye.

Meanwhile, the Broward County rhymer denied that she referred to him with her comments about sexual advances, and made multiple other public statements against her. Moreover, he recently spoke on Drink Champs about how it came about and how he felt about the backlash to it. While the Florida MC did address a lot with his remarks, it also drew a lot of concern from fans due to his seemingly erratic and volatile behavior. In fact, his industry peers particularly expressed worry about this, as they have more experience with the destructive path that they think he follows. Via an Instagram comment on the post below, which is still up as of writing this article, Ray J called folks to action when it comes to Yak’s health.

However, a lot of people both within and outside of the industry are decidedly less forgiving when it comes to this ordeal. Perhaps that’s an unfair assessment, though, as they really don’t seem to dismiss his struggles but rather his choices without the context that those issues display. For example Meek Mill came through with an Instagram comment of his own in the above post, which didn’t leave much room for sympathy. “I damn near don’t even wanna be labeled a rapper nomore,” the Philly MC shared, presumably concerning Kodak Black’s work with a snitch.

Of course, the Pompano Beach native is not free of critique and accountability, but both that and the need for him to seek counseling and support can be true. As long as the conversation centers around his antics and not his health, then these clout chases will continue because they work. Moreover, that backlash has nothing to do with the song itself and everything to do with the Kodak feature. Many expressed their distaste for the Florida artist working with Tekashi, who received an eternal “anti-snitch” stamp from most of the rap world. Another topic of conversation was Yak’s $1 million paycheck for it, which the rainbow-haired rapper denied came from him directly in a new interview. Apparently, their link-up was all to promote a vape brand that put up all the money for the release.

Kodak Black’s Artist Syko Bob’s Mother Fatally Shot In Florida: Report

Tragedy struck Syko Bob recently, a Broward County rapper signed to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang label. Moreover, new reports from VladTV indicate that Bob’s mother passed away following a fatal shooting in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood on Wednesday. Said reports stand unconfirmed as of writing this article, since the Florida MC hasn’t spoken out about this news yet. What’s more is that these reports paired with a video making rounds on social media of a van with bullet holes. In it, a police officer approaches the vehicle and discovers the victim, and sirens ring off loudly in the background.

Furthermore, there aren’t many other details that emerged surrounding this case, such as crime scene analyses or other information. As such, we can assume that this is still an open case under Broward County police jurisdiction and will likely progress in the coming days and weeks. Unfortunately for Syko Bob, he can’t be there with his family and friends to grieve this cataclysmic loss if reports are true. The rapper is currently behind bars for a five-year prison sentence following a guilty plea for illegal gun possession charges in December of 2022.

Syko Bob, real name Cambrel Smart, dealt with this legal situation for the better part of the last two years, starting with a traffic stop on January 5, 2022. After cops stopped him for speeding, they found a bag of marijuana and a loaded gun in his car. According to jail records uncovered by HipHopDX on Instagram, authorities charged him with a DUI. Also, they added charges of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of over 20 grams of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance without prescription, and possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted individual.

Meanwhile, the “My Lil S**t” MC must be going through a lot right now seeing this news. With that in mind, we send him condolences for his loss and hope that he will be able to grieve and honor his mother despite his situation. Boosie Badazz Calls Kodak Black “Ungrateful” In New Diss Track

Boosie Badazz has officially taken his battle with Kodak Black over the latter’s collaboration with 6ix9ine to wax. Moreover, on his recent new album Goin Thru Some Thangs, the 40-year-old rapper included a diss track towards Yak titled “Ungrateful.” On its final set of bars, Boosie spoke on the Florida artist’s street cred, their previous history, and Kodak getting his name from him. It’s not a super direct diss track, as he doesn’t seem to mention his rival by name, but the lyrics themselves make it pretty obvious. In addition, as the very first track on this new project, it’s clear that the Baton Rouge MC wanted to come out swinging.

“I’ve been going through some s**t, man, this s**t done got deep,” Boosie raps. “Gotta realize everybody ain’t G, how the f**k you do that when you represent the streets? Streets made you and the streets made me, if you ask B.G., you was on PC. The name that you got, I think you got that from me, your fans all mad acting like they can’t see, your street cred gone, n***a, don’t blame me.

“S**t, your homeboy right, you ain’t living like that,” Boosie continued on “Ungrateful.” “Everything that you rap, you ain’t never did that, ‘cause the other n***a talking, he a certified rat. Kodak Black Enjoys Italy Vacation While His Lawyer Goes To Court Hearing

Kodak Black is no stranger to legal trouble, and it seems like that experience has numbed him to the court setting. Moreover, his attorney Bradford Cohen recently attended a status hearing in on the Florida rapper’s drug case in Broward County according to a Local10.com report from Friday (August 11). While the court did not require Yak to attend physically, Cohen still let them know of his whereabouts during his time at the hearing. Apparently, Kodak was “enjoying himself” on a boat in Italy, specifically Capri. Considering how much this particular case has lasted, it’s understandable that he would want some space to breathe, as much as that process has been mostly his doing.

Furthermore, the hearing relates to a June arrest for failing to submit a drug test, which was part of his pretrial release terms. Authorities initially arrested Kodak Black back in July of 2022 for oxycodone trafficking, controlled substance possession, and expired driver’s license and tags. After this run-in, they released him on $75,000 bond, and officials issued a warrant for his arrest in February for failing to submit the drug test. Eventually they caught him in June for similar charges, and released him on $175,000 bond.

In addition, the judge in this case allowed for the 26-year-old to spend 30 days in a rehab facility to work on his struggles. Even though Kodak Black is assumedly having a great time overseas, this comes shortly after many fans voiced concern for his health and sent him well-wishes following a scary scenario. The Pistolz & Pearlz MC was reportedly stretchered into a hospital, based on a video on social media that seems to depict him entering the premises. It seems like things got better quickly, so hopefully Kodak is enjoying the best health possible during his trip.
