Lil Yachty Seemingly Cancels His Podcast, But Co-Host Mitch Ensures That There Is No Beef Between Them

In his own words, Lil Yachty has had enough. Over the past few weeks, the “Sorry Not Sorry” rapper found himself in the focus of a public hate train. From backlash over his uncleared Mr. Hotspot sample usage and regrets over speaking on Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s beef to Karrahbooo leaving Concrete Boys, Yachty hasn’t left Twitter’s (currrently X) trending topics list.

Unfortunately, today (August 23) that won’t change as Lil Yachty seemingly suggested that he’s canceling his podcast, A Safe Place. Yesterday (August 22), during an Instagram livestream, Lil Yachty revealed that he and co-host Mitch weren’t in a good place after their interview with Key Glock, which was intensified when a viral tweet (viewable here) hinted at friction in their friendship.

“Y’all talking about Lil Yachty disrespecting his friend in front of Key Glock,” he said. “I didn’t even want to do a podcast bruh.”

He went on to say it was Mitch who presented the idea of “doing something in life,” to which Lil Yachty answered by helping to build him a platform starting with a podcast.

But that seems to be over as he yelled: “F*ck you and the podcast.”

Like thousands of users Mitch watched that video (viewable here here) and took to his X page to respond but to defend Yachty.

“Please don’t let that clip misguide you,” he wrote. “It doesn’t represent me and Yachty’s friendship at all. We joke around pretty harsh sometimes too much fr sometimes but irl it’s nothing but respect and love. I can’t even get on here and act like it’s not.”

He also shut down rumors of Yachty supposedly stealing money from him. “If you don’t hear it from me it’s not true,” he wrote. “Bro never stole from me and we don’t have no shady history or anything along that nature so that’s cap.”

The future of A Safe Place podcast is unclear. However, Mitch won’t be waiting around either. He shared that he is ready to launch a new project.

“I’m dead,” he wrote. “The next podcast will be epic ion even think we need a guest this time lol. see ya around.”

Lil Yachty Catches Flack For Disrespecting His Friend Mitch During Key Glock Podcast

Lil Yachty is in some hot water these days, spurred by his regional fashion comments and some other big headlines as of late. But this new instance of backlash rings a bit differently, as it has to do with his personal treatment of his podcast cohost, Mitch. They had a bit of a mini argument during their Key Glock episode, who didn’t really speak on much about this debacle. The awkward moment centered around the Atlanta creative taking responsibility for turning Mitch’s life around, as he questioned what his friend would even be doing today if it wasn’t for him. Mitch conceded that he didn’t want a job back then, but also spoke on his personal growth and how he’s learned a lot about himself.

Furthermore, it seems like they were both making essentially the same point. The difference is that Lil Yachty emphasized his role in Mitch’s growth and seemed to dismiss the notion that he could’ve made a life for himself without him. As such, many fans in the replies of the post below called him out for disrespecting his friend in this way, especially in front of a guest and on a public platform. But the “Sorry Not Sorry” artist has an even bigger relationship in the balance right now… At least, according to some gossip train-riding fans.

Lil Yachty’s Controversial Conversation With Mitch

You may have already heard that the OVO fanbase turned on Lil Yachty when he seemingly unfollowed his friend and frequent collaborator Drake on Instagram. While he seemed to quickly re-follow him within minutes, many still thought that this indicated a rift in their bond. For some fans, the main theory revolves around how Drizzy took Yachty off of their leaked collab “Supersoak,” and the latter was the one who sent the unreleased cut to Kai Cenat in the first place.

Nevertheless, it seems like this is all too murky and speculative for us to conclude that Drake and Lil Yachty are at odds. As such, we can assume that they’re still cool. Most likely, so are Yachty and Mitch, for that matter. But still, fans think that he made a mistake by airing out this dirty laundry on their friendship in this way. We’ll see whether the “Die For Me” creative addresses any of this in the near future.

Is There A Key Glock & Young Dolph Collab Album On The Way?

Key Glock and Young Dolph have worked together on two Dum And Dummer mixtapes — is there a third on the way? Some fans believe so after the surviving Paper Route Empire rapper responded to one Twitter user’s lamentation that Dolph’s death in 2021 would mean an end to the series.

“We’re never getting another Key Glock and Dolph album,” wrote the fan, with a broken heart emoji indicating their mindset at such a thought. After all, it’s been three years since Dolph’s death and while his name occasionally pops up as a featured artist on some rappers’ records (particularly those of the other remaining PRE artists), there’s a general thought that if there were enough material left over for a posthumous full-length release, it’d have already been shared by his estate.

However, Glock revived hope in the potential for another epic team-up from the Memphis duo with his reply: “never say never.”

The Dum And Dummer, released in 2019, featured singles such as “Water On Water On Water” and sort of helped launch Key Glock as an artist in his own right with Dolph’s co-sign. Dum And Dummer 2 arrived in April 2021, further cementing the two rappers’ indefatigable chemistry, and seemingly setting them both up for superstardom. Perhaps a third album will finally deliver on that promise, giving Key Glock the springboard to the upper echelon of rap fame.

For now, though, all we can do is speculate.

Memphis Hitmaker Key Glock Drops New Single "Big Big Money"

Key Glock, one of the hottest hitmakers in Memphis and beyond, continues to dominate the hip-hop scene with his relentless and hard-hitting tracks. Today, he releases “Big Big Money,” another flex-filled banger that showcases his signature style.

Over hypnotizing yet threatening production, Glock effortlessly delivers his money-making agenda with bars like, “Big money n*a this how big money walk / Big big knots, you know what I got / Btch my chain costs a truck, spend it like I don’t give no fck.” The accompanying video features Glock literally and figuratively rising above the competition, standing as tall as Memphis skyscrapers while looking down on those beneath him.

“Big Big Money” is the first single Glock has released this month, following a productive May in which he dropped three singles: “Q-Dogz,” “F*ck Around & Find Out,” and “The Greatest,” a Bandplay-produced banger.

With “Big Big Money,” Key Glock once again proves his ability to create compelling, cutthroat tracks that resonate with fans and keep him at the forefront of the hip-hop industry. Keep an eye out for more from this Memphis star as he continues to make waves with his music.

Key Glock Is Locked In On The Ominous & Braggadocious Slapper “Big Big Money”

It seems that fans have been waiting an eternity for Key Glock to drop “Big Big Money”. Well, the wait is finally over, as the prolific rapper has delivered it this weekend. His supporters on YouTube have claimed that “REAL Key Glock fans been waiting on this since 2017”. If that is true, then this song had better be good. To no surprise it is, as the Memphis talent continues to churn out hits in 2024.

Every single that has been put out this year has resonated with audiences. Whether it be the production, the flows or the bars, Key Glock continues to prove why he is one of the most consistent MCs in the game. Once again, Mr. Glock links up with his partner in crime, King Wonka. These two just always seem to be on the same wavelength and “Big Big Money” is another example of that. Even though the 26-year-old sticks to a certain lyrical formula, it rarely comes across as repetitive. His ever-changing flows and his recognition for interesting trap beats keep you on your toes. One track that we feel is a good example of this is “F*** Around & Find Out”. “Big Big Money” is also like the latter, as Glock slices through the dark instrumental like a hot knife through butter.

WATCH: Key Glock Drops Video “Q-Dogz”

Key Glock Drops Video "Q-Dogz"

Key Glock has released the music video for his recent single “Q-Dogz.” Over a haunting beat, Glock delivers sharp lyrics, including a nod to the historically Black fraternity Omega Psi Phi. In his verses, he confidently dismisses his competition, rapping, “Cappin ’bout bodies they ain’t got none / These b*tches actin’ like they ain’t got no flops / Get back gang you know the outcome.” He stays focused on his ambitions, admitting, “Get money and my daughter only thing that make me cool off.”

The video, embodying the “Q-Dogz” mentality, features Glock with his crew and a pack of pitbulls, symbolizing their readiness to confront any challenges. The visuals emphasize the song’s themes of loyalty and dominance.

“Q-Dogz” is Glock’s third single this month, following “F*ck Around & Find Out” and “The Greatest.” These releases follow the success of “Let’s Go (Remix)” with Young Dolph, which peaked at #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. This remix has garnered hundreds of millions of streams and extensive radio play. The cinematic video for “Let’s Go,” directed by Chris Villa, has amassed over 10 million views, showcasing Glock’s dedication to his craft with fight choreography and stunts.

Key Glock Is Keeping Fans Fed With “Q Dogz”

While Kendrick Lamar and Drake have definitely been the main characters during May, Key Glock is not too far behind them. The Young Dolph protege continues be as hot as anyone due to the quality of his singles this month. Fans are definitely still hungry for a new album, especially after how great Glockoma 2 was. But do not take what Key Glock is doing for granted at this moment in time.

According to a press release, the reason for the Memphis, Tennessee rapper consistently dropping over these last 24 days is because of a pre-planned schedule. Sources close to him are calling this the May Takeover, which is seeing him drop five songs during the fifth month of the calendar. “Q Dogz” clocks in as the third entry and it is definitely up for the best out of the tracks we have gotten. For those who are not aware, his previous efforts include “The Greatest” and “F*** Around & Find Out.”

“Q Dogz” is Key Glock taking the intimidating and braggadocious approach. Even though he is rapping about grisly violence, there are some introspective bars laced throughout too. His definition of living a fulfilling life is being there for his daughter and making as much money as possible. But he is also making it clear to not take his soft side as a weakness. “How dare these f*** n****s to call out me? (Dang, the f***? Fah, fah) / How dare these f*** n****s try somethin’? / N****s rappin’ ’bout bodies, ain’t gone one (Nah).” These lyrics have extra credibility, especially with the haunting instrumental backing it. Glock’s takeover is not just narrowed to this month, but he continues to be impressive with still one week to go.

What are your thoughts on “Q Dogz” by Key Glock? Is this his best song as of late, why or why not? Do you think he is the hottest rapper right now, why or why not? Memphis Producer Hitkidd Recruits Key Glock & Doe Boy For “NOTT”

Memphis, Tennessee is one of the hottest spots for hip-hop artists without question right now. Whether its rappers or producers, the pool of talent is large. Hitkidd is one of the cities fastest rising beatmakers right now and today he is working with Key Glock and Doe Boy on “NOTT.” He is not a stranger to these two trap veterans, as Hitkidd had a hand in Glockoma 2 and OH REALLY. The last time we spoke about the 29-year-old was when he collaborated with host of his Memphis female contemporaries for Renegade. It was released in early December of last year and featured the likes of GloRilla, K Carbon, Gloss Up, Slimeroni, and more.

For Key Glock, he is just continuing to stay on his hot streak of singles. Over the last couple of months, he has remained as consistent as anyone, with songs like “The Greatest,” “F*** Around & Find Out,” the mutliple “Let’s Go” remixes, and more. For Doe Boy, he has also been on quite the heater himself. This effort follows up on “Shoulda Coulda Woulda,” “HUH,” and “Say It To My Face.”

On “NOTT,” the “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” producer brings a slick and cavernous trap instrumental. Both Doe Boy and Glock coast over it well, with the former bringing an angry, mean-mugging flow. As you can expect, the song is all about being movers and shakers in the game while describing their competition as way below them. Check out the single with music video above.

What are your thoughts on “NOTT” by Hitkidd, Key Glock, and Doe Boy? Is this one of Hitkidd’s better beats as of late? Who had the strongest rapping performance and why? Is Hitkidd the cream of the crop when it comes to Memphis-based producers? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Key Glock Declares Himself “The Greatest” in New Single

Key Glock The Greatest (Official Visualizer) 0 1 screenshot

Key Glock, the celebrated rapper from South Memphis, asserts his dominance in his latest single, “The Greatest.” Teaming up once again with producer Bandplay, Key Glock delivers dynamic verses over a simmering beat adorned with ringing piano keys and arpeggiating guitars. With confidence akin to Muhammad Ali, Key Glock flaunts his prowess, boasting, “Heart cold as a polar bear (burr)/And name hotter than a f*cking desert/I spent $20,000 on some fur/Then spent $30,000 on some leather.” Fans can anticipate the music video dropping soon on Key Glock’s YouTube channel.

“The Greatest” is just the beginning of Key Glock’s May music releases, with plans for a total of five singles throughout the month. This release strategy, coinciding with the fifth month, pays homage to Key Glock’s affiliation with Paper Route Empire and his cousin and mentor, the late Young Dolph, using the hashtag #PRE5L.

This latest single follows the success of “Let’s Go (Remix),” a collaboration between Key Glock and Young Dolph that soared to #59 on the Billboard Hot 100. The remix further propelled the popularity of “Let’s Go,” already one of Key Glock’s biggest hits to date.

Key Glock Says “The G Stands For Greatest” On Latest Single

After the tragic loss of Young Dolph, it seems that the proverbial baton has been passed to Key Glock. The 26-year-old Memphis MC soaked up so much knowledge from the “old man” and now he has become one of, if not the best, from the city. That statement can be backed up from the slew of singles and remixes “Mr. Glock” has put out. One track that we can add to the stacked list of releases is his latest offering, “The Greatest.”

This single follows up on renditions of the Glockoma 2 (Deluxe) banger “Let’s Go,” which has quickly become a fan favorite. Over the last several weeks, Glock brought an EDM remix with Alok, and a fire posthumous verse from his mentor. “The Greatest” sees the aggressive spitter flex his muscles and boast about his skills. He sets the tone right from the jump, saying, “Yuh, they call me Glock and the G stand for “Greatest” (Yuh).”

Over the thumping BandPlay beat, Glock brings a slippery flow that feels reminiscent of something Offset would lay down. But it does not feel like a blatant rip off by any means. “The Greatest” could be a single for the long awaited Glocktober tape, which was teased late last year. We had belief that Key was going to drop the tape in October based on the title, the color scheme for the single cover arts, and that he was dropping the singles during that month. However, we are still waiting, and hopefully it drops sooner than later.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “The Greatest” by Key Glock? Is this one of his stronger releases as of late, why or why not? Do you think he is gearing up for Glocktober still, or something new? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
