Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Subjected To House Arrest After Offset Threats

Nicki Minaj has made quite a few headlines over the years due to her husband Kenneth Petty. For those who may not know, Petty is a convicted sex offender stemming from an alleged attempted rape in 1995. Overall, this case has led to all sorts of issues Petty. Moreover, it has led to quite a few jokes on social media. However, what is important, is that Petty was supposed to register as a sex offender upon moving to California. In the end, he opted not to do that and was given three years probation and one year under house arrest.

This ruling took place over a year ago, so if your math is correct, you would understand that Petty would have been off house arrest. However, he completely ruined his freedom for himself after he made some threats against Offset. As we reported, he was outside with some friends, claiming to be looking for the rapper. According to court reporter Meghann Cuniff, a judge has subsequently given Petty 120 days under house arrest for his actions.

Kenneth Petty & Nicki Minaj Make Headlines

“Mr. Petty was recorded on video making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” the court order explains. “This recent violation conduct raises concerns over Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders. As such, the Probation Officer believes placement in the Location Monitoring Program will effectively allow for closer monitoring of Mr. Petty’s activities, limit his movements, provide a sanction for his non-compliance, and hopefully encourage him to reflect upon and reevaluate his current status in the community.”

As far as Offset is concerned, this is probably the peak of getting the last laugh on somebody. Additionally, this is a case of shooting oneself in the foot, in the most public way possible. Nicki Minaj’s Husband Violated His Parole When He Threatened Offset On Video, So A Judge Placed Him On House Arrest

Now that Tory Lanez has been transferred to state prison — with a fresh mugshot and all — to serve his 10-year sentence after being found guilty on three felony counts related to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the feet three years ago, Los Angeles-based legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff can turn her attention toward other matters.

On Wednesday night, September 20, Cuniff posted court documents to X (formerly known as Twitter) showing that United States District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald “has ordered Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, to serve ‘up to 120 days on home detention’ for ‘making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.’”

“For background, US Dictrict Judge Michael Fitzgerald in July 2022 sentenced Petty to three years probation for failing to register as a sex offender,” Cuniff added.

This is related to videos that circulated last weekend of Petty and his crew spitting vitriol toward Offset and Cardi B, his wife, including a threat to “knock the veneers” out of Cardi B’s mouth.

In response, Offset posted video to his since-expired Instagram story, giggling and mocking Petty.

Two years ago, Nicki Minaj, along with Petty, were named in a lawsuit for allegedly harassing Jennifer Hough, whom Petty was convicted of raping back in 1995. Earlier this year, Minaj’s motion to sanction Tyrone Blackburn, Hough’s lawyer, was denied by an East New York judge.

Nicki Minaj has been pretty busy recently. She served double during last week’s MTV Video Music Awards serving as both the host of the event and a performer. She joined Lil Wayne, LL COOL J, and more in a tribute to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. Minaj also made the live debut of her new single “Last Time I Saw You.” The song already has over 18 million streams on Spotify and debuted at number 23 on the Hot 100 last week. But while all of that was going on, her husband Kenneth Petty has been beefing with Offset.

It’s a complicated beef because Nicki and Offset’s wife Cardi B have a history. The two are often compared to each other by fans and they had pretty tangible beef of their own spawning from the 2018 Migos song “MotorSport.” That’s why many online have been weighing in on the back and forth between Offset and Petty as a sort of proxy beef between the two artists. Now in the heat of the rivalry, Nicki is pouring some gasoline on the fire by sharing pictures of her family. The pictures themselves are quite wholesome with Nicki and Kenneth hanging out and spending some time with their son Papa Bear while posing for pictures. Unsurprisingly though, most of the fans in the comments are talking about beef.

Kenneth Petty’s Friend Blames Offset For Current Beef, Nicki Minaj Breaks Her Silence

A friend of Kenneth Petty has taken to social media to try and explain the rapidly expanding beef with Offset. “I don’t even know how all this happened,” the man begins. “I guess they misinterpreted the video that me and Zoo [Petty] made. And we were just talking shit, regular shit. And then I guess Zoo made the comment, ‘waiting for one of you n-ggas to act stupid’. That was it, that was all that was said.” Furthermore, the man shared another video showing his heated DM exchange with Offset, parts of which had been previously leaked by Petty. However, it appears that Petty and his crew are taking the stance that Offset is the aggressor in this beef.

All this comes after days of mounting tensions between the husbands of Nicki and Cardi. In the most recent development, Petty and his crew dropped a video of them engaged on a “stakeout” for Offset. Meanwhile, Offset was first in Atlanta for his stream with Kai Cenat and then in Boulder for the Colorado-Colorado State game. However, Offset has responded to some of the shots taken by Petty and his friends. Namely, the former Migos rapper appears to find the whole situation pretty funny and appears to have no interest in actually starting anything with Minaj’s sex-offender husband. So much for him being the one to instigate the beef.

Fans Question Meaning Of Nicki Minaj Tweet

Elsewhere, fans are questioning a cryptic tweet dropped by Minaj herself on September 16. Aside from a clip of Minaj laughing at a fan asking where the “opps at” during the VMAs, the rapper has mostly stayed out of her husband’s escapades. However, people are now wondering if that is about to change after she tweeted “I wanna play a game.” However, Minaj offered no follow-up, with her subsequent tweets not matching the energy of her Jigsaw impression. Minaj has been promoting her new track “Big Difference” pretty heavily in the last few days. One of the tweets she posted after the aforementioned one highlighted how “Big Difference” was at one point #3 on X’s trending page.

However, is there a deeper meaning to this tweet? It’s hard to say as in the past, Nicki has rarely been one to mince words. Perhaps something bigger is coming in the next few days. Even then, the beef already appears to have died off. With Offset seemingly unwilling to engage with Petty, most of this beef has been Petty trying to goad the rapper into giving him attention. Despite this, the situation remains a developing story. We’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

It appears there may be beef between former Migo Offset and Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.

Over the course of the weekend, some video footage surfaced of Petty with a group of friends calling out for Offset on an empty street in New York City’s Theater District.

“Offset, where you at?” said an affiliate of Petty. “We outside.”

According to HipHopDX, Offset and his wife, rapper Cardi B, were allegedly staying at a hotel in the neighborhood where this took place. But neither Offset nor Cardi reportedly stepped out to confront Petty and crew directly.

In another clip, Petty is heard threatening to “knock the veneers” out of Cardi’s mouth.

Shortly after the footage — the date of which it was shot unclear — surfaced, Offset took to his own social media platforms, where he seemingly addressed these alleged threats.

“I’m getting off a jet, and he’s funny,” Offset said. “F*ck they talkin’ about? We hoppin’ off jets. Talkin’ bout ‘outside.’ Extremely broke!”

Later, a screenshot of an Instagram DM from Offset was shared by an affiliate of Petty. In the screenshot, Offset appears to asking for the affiliate’s location, seemingly wanting to confront him in person.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear when or where this alleged beef began.

This might be the most heavy rap beef of all time in which the opposing parties have rarely, if ever, actually dissed each other outright. Moreover, the cold war between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B continued in a pretty intense way this week. At the VMAs, the Trinidadian MC’s husband Kenneth Petty and his friends posted up at the ceremony and boasted on social media that they were looking for Cardi B and Offset. The former Migo even responded on social media some time after these clips went viral, calling his opps broke from a jet plane after his alleged message to one of Petty’s associates surfaced.

It’s a bit convoluted at the moment, but the point is that Nicki Minaj’s camp was looking for Cardi B and her company during and after the awards show. Now, new videos are adding further context to the whole ordeal, such as the 40-year-old’s response to a fan’s question at the VMAs. Furthermore, they asked “Where the opps at?” and she seemed to have an excited response to that. However, her words aren’t heard in the clip, so people are truly making a mountain out of this very small molehill.

Tensions between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj come up from their fanbases for the most part, at least right now. As two of the biggest female rappers in the game with past history, few MCs are compared and contrasted with as much scrutiny as those two. It’s unfortunate because, within the world of femcees, this is a far-too-common practice that divides and disincentivizes cooperation and support rather than empower women in a male-dominant and male-privileged industry. The girls run the show now, in many’s eyes, but strange occurrences like these turn them against each other.

If anything, their only competitive and contentious battle should be a sales and impact one. After all, they both have highly anticipated albums on the way. First there’s Barb’s Pink Friday 2 and then we’ll get Bardi’s sophomore studio release. Maybe one day, the two of them can put everything aside, despite how much the world around them wants to clash. Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, began trending on Twitter on Friday (September 15) evening, after a video of him and some affiliates staking out Cardi B’s man, Offset, went viral. In the time since the father of five has comedically reacted to the situation with a video of him hopping off of a private jet and calling his ops broke while laughing.

The internet also seems to be taking Set’s side, notably trolling Petty for his troubling allegations of sexual abuse. Social media sleuths have been working tirelessly to get to the bottom of the situation, and it seems things stem from the MTV VMAs earlier this week, which Minaj was responsible for hosting. Cardi and her husband were also in attendance, with the former performing her “Bongos” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. In a clip posted from the star-studded evening, Kenneth tells social media that he’s “ready for y’all ni**as to act stupid,” though thankfully nothing transpired.

Offset Reacts To Kenneth Petty’s Stakeout Video

Seeing drama unfold between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B is really nothing new in the world of hip-hop, but now, the pair’s husbands are trading shots via social media. On Friday (September 15) evening, a video of the Queen of Rap’s partner, Kenneth Petty, standing outside on a stakeout for Offset caused the former to begin trending on Twitter. In the video, the sex offender and his affiliates made it abundantly clear that they were hoping to cross paths with Cardi B’s other half.

“Offset, where you at?” a voice behind the camera in the tweet below asks, filming a group of buildings outside. Upon turning to see their faces, we see Petty markedly mean mugging the phone with two friends, who only become more reckless as they continue recording. “Big Zoo outside ni**a,” the one holding the phone yells, panning his view to reveal that the group of men is drinking beside a pile of trash bags. “Don’t let these ni**as fool you, we run this city,” they continued to berate their haters.

Kenneth Petty Has Eyes Out for Offset

According to Akademiks, while Minaj’s husband and his crew were on the hunt for the “Clout” rapper, he was having the time of his life at Kai Cenat’s place in Atlanta. Fans of Offset were beyond happy to see him letting loose and having a blast during their 24-hour stream in promotion of his upcoming album.

Of course, after what happened to Takeoff in 2022 there’s understandable concern for the lyricist’s safety. Still, he made it clear that he’s not bothered by Petty – or anyone else for that matter – in a response video flaunting his massive wealth.

Kenneth Petty Believes His Rape Accuser, Jennifer Hough, Has It Out For Him

The ongoing battle between Kenneth Petty, husband of Nicki Minaj, and his alleged rape victim, Jennifer Hough, continues to heat up. For some background information, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995. As a result, he served over four years in prison. Furthermore, almost 20 years later, Petty still did not register himself as sex a offender. Subsequently, the judge sentenced him to one year of home confinement and three years of probation.

Fast forward to the present, Petty accused Hough of going out of her way to publicly shame him. Another important piece to this puzzle is that Hough filed a $20 million lawsuit against Petty and Minaj for terrorizing her so she could drop the case. Hough firmly believes that she has been forced to live in constant fear from the couple’s supporters, to continuously move and that it has affected her ability to work. Additionally, Hough is trying to amend her argument to bring up new evidence.

Kenneth Petty and his lawyer believe this is all a publicity stunt. Of course, though, Hough’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, totally disagrees. He says, “Now, [Hough] has secured confirming evidence…she is somehow ‘acting in bad faith.’ If anything, [Hough] is acting in good faith, as she is solidifying a position that she has had concerning the rape in 1994, which is that she did not ‘lie on that man [Defendant Petty].” The evidence that Hough presented included photos of her showing where she was choked, as well as the knife that possibly was used, along with the rooms in which the forceful acts were supposedly committed by Petty.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Claims Alleged Rape Victim Is Trying To Humiliate Him

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty is accused of sexually assaulting Jennifer Hough back in 1994. He previously took a plea deal in the case, but she alleges that he’s been violating it. Hough accuses Petty of attempting to intimidate and harass her, claiming that it’s had a negative impact on her life. Recently, she moved to amend her complaint, adding new evidence to strengthen her case.

The evidence includes various images from around the time of the alleged incident. The photos showcase wounds on Hough’s neck, as well as the knife allegedly used. Petty’s team claims that the evidence was put forth in an attempt to humiliate him to appease Hough’s lawyer. They also say that Hough and her team filing the exhibit publicly and making statements about the photos prove this. They claim that the motion was made in bad faith.
