Eddie Griffin Calls Shannon Sharpe Gay During Rant About Katt Williams

Eddie Griffin is a comedian who is not afraid to say how he feels about a particular situation. However, there is no doubt that this can lead to some bizarre rants and even some downright offensive ones. Overall, Griffin found himself in that territory recently while at a recent show. In the clip below, you can hear him talking about Katt Williams and how the comedian refuses to wear a dress. He even said that the two should go on a tour together that is based around their refusal to do such a thing.

“Me and Katt [are] the last two that ain’t wore a dress, n***a. I called that n**ga… and said, ‘N***a, let’s do the ‘Non-Wearing A Dress Tour.’ That s**t’ll be hot like a motherf*cker,’” Griffin explained. Furthermore, Griffing spoke on Club Shay Shay, the popular podcast hosted by Shannon Sharpe. Comedians like Mike Epps have accused Sharpe of being gay, and that is exactly what Griffin did. In fact, he called the show Club Gay Gay. Overall, it was a pretty hacky joke, but it certainly got some laughs.

Mo’Nique Joins Katt Williams’ Tour Amid “Club Shay Shay” Fallout

Earlier this week, Mo’Nique’s eagerly anticipated Club Shay Shay interview finally dropped, and it didn’t disappoint. The performer discussed being shunned by her celebrity peers, calling out people like Oprah, Tyler Perry, Kevin Hart, and more. Even before the interview was released, social media users began to draw comparisons between Mo’Nique and Katt Williams, who just appeared on Club Shay Shay last month.

His interview went viral, as he similarly put several of his fellow comedians on blast. He dissed Kevin Hart, Rickey Smiley, Cedric The Entertainer, and more. Mo’Nique On Her “Fraternal Twin Brother” Katt Williams

Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks shared the news during an Instagram Live earlier today. The couple was addressing D.L. Hughley’s response to her callout on Club Shay Shay, as well as thanking the hosts of The Breakfast Club for their recent apologies. She had claimed that she was made uncomfortable during a game of “Would You Rather” on Hughley’s radio show, prompting him to fire back. “Every time I see Mo’Nique these days, she’s doing some greasy a** video with her and her daddy complaining about something or working out,” he said, also dubbing her a “liar.” According to Mo’Nique and Hicks, however, Hughley only scrapped the interview because they had gotten their attorney involved, though they hadn’t yet reached the point of sending him a cease and desist.

At some point in the Instagram Live, they snuck the announcement in. Fans note that Mo’Nique’s inclusion on the tour is sure to make it all the more explosive. Kirk Franklin Finally Responds To Katt Williams “Club Shay Shay” Interview

Kirk Franklin has finally responded after being name-checked by Katt Williams in his Club Shay Shay interview last month. “You just shake your head. It’s like, ‘Lord, have mercy!’ because I don’t know where it’s going. But shout out to Katt Williams. I just think that there are so many voices right now that are having the opportunity to speak their journey, their experiences. And I just think that it’s important for everyone to have a platform to tell the truth and their story. I don’t think anybody should be silenced, anybody should be censored. I think that every human being has the right to tell their voice and their story,” Franklin told HipHopDX at the Grammys.

Franklin got off lighter than most of the people mentioned by Williams during the now-viral interview. The more prevalent course of action was that if Williams was mentioning you, you were about to get skewered by the veteran actor and comedian. This has led to a wave of backlash ever since the interview came out. Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish both offered differing responses to Williams. Meanwhile, Ludacris felt strongly enough to hit Williams with a freestyle diss.

Katt Williams Club Shay Shay Interview Spoofed On Saturday Night Live

Meanwhile, SNL dedicated a skit during their January 21 show to spoofing Williams’ much talked-about interview. Ego Nwodim played Williams while Devin Walker played Shannon Sharpe. The skit was billed as the “eight-hour extended version” of the interview. “Three things are true about me. I am 5’3, I have never told a lie, and I am 6’3,” Nwodim’s Williams says. Furthermore, the skit featured several jokes about Williams’ comments about Kevin Hart. “Look, Hollywood made Kevin Hart. Everyone knows Kevin Hart was made in the same factory where they make Teddy Grahams. Why the hell he smell like cinnamon?” ranted Williams. Other targets of Nwodim’s Williams included Barak Obama and included Williams claiming he invented fruit.

Meanwhile, Renee Rapp brought out Megan Thee Stallion as part of her Saturday Night Live musical spot. The pair performed their collab “Not My Fault”, which they recorded for the newly released Mean Girls remake. The film is not directly a remake of the 2004 film, but a blend of the original film and the wildly popular Broadway musical. Furthermore, Rapp also performed her track “Snow Angel”, from her album of the same name released last year.

Metro Boomin Is Not Buying It

In the video above, Metro can be heard laughing as 21 explains his spelling prowess. The super producer claims that it is “cap” and that it cannot be true. Metro even got into his comedian bag with the caption which reads, “you probably read 3000 books a year too huh.” Of course, this is a callback to the infamous words of Katt Williams. Williams told Sharpe he read 3000 books per year as a child, which led to a whole lot of suspicion as that averages out to 9 books per day. Either way, Metro felt funny and it all came at his friend’s expense.

Let us know what you thought of 21 and his interview with Shannon Sharpe, in the comments section below. Do you want a Savage Mode 3? Torrei Hart Says Katt Williams Tour Is “No Shade” To Kevin Hart: “That Is Not My Beef”

Torrei Hart says she means “no shade” to Kevin Hart by embarking on a comedy tour with Katt Williams. Kevin and Williams have been feuding since the latter’s viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. She discussed the beef and her upcoming tour during a chat with TMZ published on Wednesday.

“Why wouldn’t he? I mean, I’m funny as f*ck,” she joked when asked why Katt chose her. “That’s my boy. We’ve known each other for years and it’s only right. I’ve opened up for Katt before. He’s given me plenty of opportunities. We’ve shot a movie together. We’re just close. We’re so close Katt has watched my dog before, like we’re friends. We’ve known each other for 20 years. This isn’t something that just happened.” As for Williams’ feud with Kevin, she added: “I have no shade at all to Kevin. Even the stuff that’s going on between him and Katt, that’s not my beef. That is not my beef. I have beef with no one.”

The drama began when Williams accused Kevin of being an industry plant while speaking with Sharpe. “In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. Later in the interview, he added: “For a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk that all I had said was just, ‘Can we take some of this Stepin Fetchit sh*t out and then I can do it.” Kevin eventually responded on Twitter, writing: “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad.”

Torrei Hart On Touring With Katt Williams

Soon after, Torrei revealed she’d be performing with Williams. “My success is my success. I want everybody to win, I love everybody,” Kevin told TMZ in response to that news. “I want everybody to win, I hope the tour is great.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Torrei Hart as well as the feud between Katt Williams and Kevin Hart on HotNewHipHop.

Dave Chappelle Slams Katt Williams For Only Dissing Black Comics

Earlier this month, Katt Williams made major waves with his viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. He took aim at several of his peers, including Kevin Hart, Rickey Smiley, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, and many more. In the days after the interview dropped, social media users heard plenty of responses from those he dissed. Now, another comedian who was spared is coming to their defense, Dave Chappelle.

During a recent stand-up set, Chappelle weighed in on the explosive interview. He noted that Williams mainly went after Black comedians, seeming disappointed. According to him, he’s a fan of Williams, but doesn’t understand why he decided to put his peers on blast.

Dave Chappelle Weighs In On Katt Williams’ Club Shay Shay Interview

“What part of the game is this? He ethered n***as. He didn’t say anything about any of these white boys. None of these white boys function like that,” Chappelle said. “Katt is one of the best painters in the game. So why are you drawing ugly pictures of us? Stop. Hurt people hurt people, but I am a hurt person that never hurt people, and he does it all the time.”

“I didn’t hear anything that you did wrong. He didn’t do nothin’ wrong? Katt didn’t do nothin’ wrong?… Katt was talking about s**t that n***as did to other n***as but not about anything that n***as did to him,” Chappelle added. “If I told my story, it would break your heart… I lost everything and never, ever told on anybody, and this n***a’s the arbiter of truth. Katt Williams “Club Shay Shay” Interview Spoofed On “Saturday Night Live”

Saturday Night Live took aim at Katt Williams’ Club Shay Shay interview in its latest episode. Ego Nwodim played Williams while Devin Walker played Shannon Sharpe. The skit was billed as the “eight-hour extended version” of the interview. “Three things are true about me. I am 5’3, I have never told a lie, and I am 6’3,” Nwodim’s Williams says. LISTEN: Katt Williams a.k.a KattPac Delivers Freestyle at Ludacris

Katt Williams Details His Issue with Rickey Smiley

Katt Williams called Ludacris out during his appearance on Club Shay Shay, stating the ATL rapper reached his Hollywood success by aligning with the desires of Hollywood executives.

That received a response from Ludacris in the below freestyle.

Now that has passed, Katt williams is back with his own rap, hitting Suge Knight’s Collect Call podcast with his own response. You can hear the freestyle from Williams, known as Kattpac when rapping, below.

Katt Williams Previewed A Diss Track About Ludacris During An Interview With Suge Knight

Maybe Katt Williams-Ludacris rap beef was on your 2024 Bingo card after the comedian went full scorched-earth on the entertainment industry earlier this month. If it was, I congratulate you and also recommend you play the lottery immediately, because your foresight is superhuman.

Of course, it’s only natural that some of the celebrities Williams name-checked during his viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast would want to respond — in this case, Luda. The Fast & Furious star responded to Williams’ outlandish accusations with a lighthearted verse on his socials, both denying Katt’s claims and sneaking in a jab of his own.

Ironically, Ludacris and Katt were collaborators and friends at one point. In fact, on “Pimpin’ All Over The World,” another song from The Red Light District, the album which contains “Number One Spot,” Katt appears as a guest. But he apparently felt a way about being passed over for a role in the Fast franchise (allegedly), which he attributed to his refusal to participate in Illuminati rituals.

On Club Shay Shay, he claimed that Ludacris cut his hair in 2006 as part of this ritual — never mind the fact that the haircut came three years after his appearance in 2 Fast 2 Furious and his next appearance in the series was five years later, in 2011’s Fast Five. Luda’s response was to suggest that Katt was feeling some sour grapes — and possibly on drugs.

However, it looks like Katt isn’t quite done yet. During another podcast appearance — this time, Suge Knight’s Collect Call, which… yeah, there are too many podcasts — Williams played a bit of a new track, which borrows part of the chorus from Luda’s 2004 hit “Number One Spot” to lash out at the rapper-turned-Christmas-movie-star.

“I’m coming for your number one spot,” he rhymes on the chorus. “One of us a killer, and the other one is not.” In the verse, he goes after Luda directly, rapping, “Oh Chris, I wish it never came to this / And you pissed, rapped for free for the first time but you dissin’ this / The wrong side of history in a time like this / It’s so Ludacris.” It’s uhhhhh…. something.

There’s a little more, but it’s… not great. Katt’s a funny guy and I get why his Club Shay Shay interview was so entertaining for the peanut gallery, but this is one arena in which he’s better off not competing, lest he become the butt of the joke. You can check out the track below.
