Throughout the podcast, he took aim at the likes of Diddy, Michael Blackson, Cedric The Entertainer, and even Steve Harvey. He had a lot to say about these individuals, and he never held back. Moreover, he eventually got asked about Kanye West and his recent behavior. Well, as you can imagine, Williams had a lot to say about that as well. However, he defended Kanye in a sense, noting that it is a bit weird to expect Ye to be an agreeable person.

Katt Williams On Ye

In Williams’ eyes, it doesn’t make sense to call someone mentally ill and then watch all of their moves. He liked Ye’s behavior to that of a person with special needs. For Williams, it is unfair to expect anything rational from Ye given his mental health issues. Furthermore, Williams places blame on those who continue to call him a genius while also tracking his every move. It was an interesting insight that goes to show that Williams has been thinking about the Kanye conundrum as of late.

With Williams’ interview going viral, we’re sure various other tidbits will be coming out soon. Let us know what you thought of the interview, and more specifically, his comments on Ye, down below. WATCH: Katt Williams Says His Issue with Rickey Smiley Stems from ‘Friday After Next’ & Nixed Sexual Assault Scene

Katt Williams Details His Issue with Rickey Smiley

Katt Williams is setting the Internet on fire to begin 2024. Appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Williams pulled back the curtain on why he and Rickey Smiley have beef, which dates back to Friday After Next.

Williams shut down Smiley detailing that he was originally supposed to be Money Mike and then went into further issues with Smiley.

In the film, Williams played Money Mike, who had an encounter with recently released criminal Damon, played by Terry Crews. Williams states his beef with Smiley, who was the robbing Santa Claus in the film, came after he stood up for his character not being raped for comedy.

“The Money Mike in the original script got raped in the bathroom,” Williams said. “That’s what Rickey Smiley was okay with. Katt Williams had to take the risk in front of the cast, studios, and powers that be in his very first movie and say, respectfully, humbly, guys, ‘If we are talking about anything else I don’t have any credibility and no pull. But we talking about comedy, where I have all the credibility and pull. The problem with Friday After Next is we are are trying to make a classic comedy. And this comedy involves a rape. Rap is never funny, no matter who it happens to or what the circumstances are.”

Williams added he asked to remove that moment and it would be twice as funny as Money Mike getting raped. You watch the full interview here.

Katt Williams Says Harvey Weinstein Offered Him Oral Sex

Katt Williams had a lot to talk about during his visit to Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay. While speaking against Rickey Smiley, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey and more, Katt Williams revealed why he isn’t fearful of being blackballed.

“These people are not powerful,” Williams said. “Satan cannot create anything, including blessings for his people. You know the No. 1 job of someone who sold their soul in Hollywood is? Act like it didn’t happen.

“It’s a consortium. They rock with who they rock with and they don’t with who they don’t. But I’m not scared of being the competition. On paper they are a better team. They have all the assets and resources they don’t. But let’s get on the line and see if that factors in. I guarantee that it don’t.”

He would go on to add, “They canceled me for talking about Harvey Weinstein before the thing came out. But he offered to suck my penis in front of all my people at my agency.”

Katt Williams Calls Out Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart & More In Fiery Interview

2024-01-04-club-shayshay-katt-williams

Katt Williams has unleashed a blistering attack on his fellow comedic legends. During a recent interview, the legendary comedian called out Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart, and Rickey Smiley

Can’t Take A Joke

In an interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast released on Jan. 3, Williams vented about Cedric The Entertainer stealing one of his jokes from the past.

According to Williams, Cedric believed he could get away with it since Williams was a relatively unknown comedian at the time.

“He thought that I was just a no-name comedian, and that he could take this joke and nobody would know. The issue was that I had already done this particular joke on BET’s ComicView twice. It had done so well… that they made it part of the commercial,” Williams said.

Williams added:

“This is not just a random joke, this is my best joke…it’s my closing joke. 1998, I’m doing this joke…Cedric comes to The Comedy Store, he watches me in the audience, he comes backstage, he tells me what a great job I did and how much he loves the joke. Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings Of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship.”

WIlliams was referencing the comedy special movie, The Original Kings of Comedy. WIlliams also took a shot at Cedric by saying he looks like a walrus.

Cedric The Entertainer Responds

Cedric The Entertainer later responded to Williams on Instagram:

“Revisionist history, regardless of whatever Katts opinion My career can’t be reduced to One Joke Katt Williams claims as his, I been [in] over 40 movies, my specials and brand speaks volumes for [who] i am. The ppl I have put on including ‘Kat in the Hat’ At the Gibson Amphitheatre. And all that tough talk Is corny af Im [a] grown ass man. And none of that sh*t gonna go like you think. You do you and I got this over here.”

Katt Williams additionally called out Steve Harvey, Cedric’s co-star in The Original Kings of Comedy, accusing him of being involved in the joke Cedric allegedly stole. Williams claimed that the shared joke, originally crafted with comedian Mark Curry, was also appropriated by Harvey:

“This is the same Steve that went to go watch Mark Curry do his whole sitcom and then stole everything Mark Curry had. Now Steve got a sitcom where he’s the principal and he wear a suit.” The sitcom in question was The Steve Harvey Show and Curry’s Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper

Users on Twitter (X) reacted to Williams’ explosive interview. One user named @Teewhyfene commented “Katt Williams a legend and I’m happy he gets to get his truth heard,” and one other user named @Thats_wildddd commented, “He damn sure aint lyin Cedric never ever been funny to me and really just rode off the coat tails of all the other comedians in that “kings of comedy.”

Katt Williams Calls Out Rickey Smiley

Additionally, Williams targeted Rickey Smiley, debunking Smiley’s claims that he was originally cast as Money Mike in the movie Friday After Next. Williams accused Smiley of lying and mockingly criticized his acting skills. Williams questioned why Smiley had not been offered significant movie roles in recent years, stating:

“Rickey Smiley can’t act because Rickey Smiley can’t act.”

Unsurprisingly, Kevin Hart also found himself in Williams’ line of fire. Williams referred to Hart as an “industry plant,” insinuating that Hart’s rise to fame lacked the long underground career typically associated with successful comedians.

“In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold out Kevin Hart show and being in line for him getting a standing ovation at any comedy club. What do you think a plant is?”

Williams said as he raised his voice. Williams also said that he is tired of the narrative of him being “bitter and jealous” during his comedy hiatus.

The full interview is now available on YouTube.

Stay Warm

In other news about Cedric The Entertainer, he recently teamed up with Houston rapper Trae The Truth by delivering blankets, jackets, and coats to the homeless shortly before New Years Day. Local media was there to capture the kind gesture from Trae and Cedric.

Kanye Says Cardi B Is An ‘Industry Plant’

One other celebrity that called fellow celebrities out was rap star Kanye West. In a leaked video from 2018, Kanye called out rapper Cardi B and said that she was an industry plant. He was also frustrated with producing songs for Pusha T, Nas, Teyana Taylor as well as others and not being appreciated.

Katt Williams Airs Out Problems With Cedric The Entertainer & Steve Harvey

Katt Williams spoke about his issues with Cedric The Entertainer and Steve Harvey during his recent sit-down with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. He explained that Cedric stole one of his jokes for the 2000 comedy special, The Original Kings of Comedy. Cedric previously addressed the allegations during a conversation with Sharpe in January 2023. At the time, he labeled the idea “ridiculous.”

When asked about those remarks, Williams said: “He thought that I was just a no-name comedian, and that he could take this joke and nobody would know. The issue was that i had already done this particular joke on BET’s ComicView twice. It had done so well… that they made it part of the commercial.”

Two years later, he’s doing that as his last joke on The [Original] Kings Of Comedy and he’s doing it verbatim, he just changed my car into a spaceship.” From there, Williams explained that Cedric and Harvey already apologized to him, which is why he gave them a “pass” until now. “Why would you downplay me like that?” he asked. “Why would I give you a pass If you were just gon’ lie?”

Hazel-E Claims Migos, Suge Knight, Katt Williams, And Remy Ma Are Being Paid To Sabotage Nicki Minaj

Later this week, blogger Tasha K will release her interview with Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Hazel-E. Overnight Tasha shared a trailer for the interview which features a number of absolute bombshell revelations. The full interview is set to drop on Friday and is likely to include even more potentially major drama. But even in the short clips shared Hazel is already spreading some information that has fans buzzing.

The biggest of the bunch were her claims that there is some kind of conspiracy going on to take down Nicki Minaj. It began with a discussion of her ex-boyfriend Katt Williams helping Migos out of their bankruptcy. But she divulges even further into what she claims is a major effort to take down Nicki and the Barbz. The list of people she claims are in on it include both Williams and Offset, as well as people like Remy Ma and Suge Knight. Check out the previews of the interview shared online below.

In the comments, fans debate the merits of her claims. “If we being honest. Remy Ma came outta NO WHERE with that Shether sh*t.. and Nicki was saying Free Remy. Sad,” one of the top comments reads. There was a lot of speculation as to why Remy seemed to come out of nowhere to spark issues with Nicki. Elsewhere though, most of the comments were reluctant to believe her conspiracy narrative.

“I don’t believe there was an agenda to “take Nicki down” most current female rappers were fans of her when they first started. Nicki just kept defending her title as the Queen of rap when NOBODY was coming for it,” one comment from the post reads. Even some Nicki fans deny the likelihood. “Nicki won a billboard award the other day u didn’t post it and she was billboard female top rap artist of the year you didn’t post it . But here u go posting bs ! This page is full of drama,” another comment on the post reads. What do you think of Hazel-E suggesting that there’s a large industry conspiracy to take down Nicki Minaj? Do you believe the claims she’s making? Let us know in the comment section below.

Katt Williams’ 7 Most Hilarious Movies

Katt Williams is a more-than-familiar name in comedy. While he is best known for his stand-up comedy specials, Williams has also appeared in several films over the years. Even though many of these movies were not critical darlings, they often turn out to be comedy gold, and at the heart of the biggest jokes is none other than Katt.

Overall, Katt Williams is a comedy icon. His unique and deeply hilarious comedic style has also endeared him to fans worldwide. His signature style is also a Halloween costume favorite, and this year, Winnie Harlow brought one of his looks to life. Williams has built a filmography containing comedic gems that have kept laughter ringing through households for two decades. Here are seven of the most hilarious movies the actor has starred in so far, in no particular order.

7. Epic Movie (2007)

Epic Movie is a parody film that relies heavily on spoofing popular culture and movie trends. It features an ensemble cast, including Kal Penn, Jayma Mays, Adam Campbell, and Jennifer Coolidge. Williams lends his voice to star as a satirized version of Harry Beaver, a non-human character from The Chronicles of Narnia. Characters from Harry Potter, The Pirates of the Caribbean, and X-Men, among others, are also parodied. Admittedly, the humor is crude, and the movie lacks much originality, but anyone with a sense of silly humor will definitely enjoy Epic Movie.

6. The Perfect Holiday (2007)

The Perfect Holiday is a romantic comedy film directed by Lance Rivera. The movie stars Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, and Terrence Howard, with Katt Williams in a supporting role. The Perfect Holiday revolves around Nancy Taylor (played by Union), a loving but overworked single mother of three children. The film tells how she finds love again at Christmastime. Williams portrays Delicious, the manager of Nancy’s rapper ex-husband J-Jizzy (played by Charlie Murphy). In general, Williams’ scenes in the movie are sparse, but they are memorable and funny, as expected of the actor.

5. The Obama Effect (2012)

The Obama Effect centers on the story of a man named John Thomas (played by Charles S. Dutton). He is an avid supporter of Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign. Consequently, John becomes deeply inspired by Obama’s message of hope and change. He soon decides to channel his enthusiasm into promoting Obama’s candidacy. Katt Williams portrays a comical character named MLK in the movie. Meagan Good, Glynn Turman, and Reggie Brown also star in supporting roles.

4. School Dance (2014)

School Dance is a musical comedy-drama film directed by Nick Cannon. The film’s central character is Jason Jackson (played by Bobb’e J. Thompson). He is a high school student who dreams of joining an elite dance crew. However, he is often bullied and faces several other challenges, including disapproval from his mother (played by Luenell). As the story unfolds, Jason must find the strength to showcase his talent, overcome his fears, and stand up to his bullies. Katt Williams portrays Darren, one of his most hilarious characters ever, sure to leave many viewers in stitches. School Dance would be an entertaining watch for audiences interested in a blend of unserious teen comedies as well as dance films.

3. Father Figures (2017)

Father Figures stars Owen Wilson and Ed Helms as twin brothers Kyle and Peter Reynolds. The story follows their journey to find their biological father after discovering that their mother had been dishonest about his identity. Their quest leads them to a series of eccentric and sometimes questionable characters who may or may not be their father. Along the way, they happen upon Katt Williams’ character, a nameless hitchhiker whom they befriend. Despite how brief his appearance is, Williams’ character is one of the funniest in the film. Father Figures received generally negative reviews upon its release, but who could deny the laugh-out-loud wiles of Katt Williams?

2. Friday After Next (2002)

Friday After Next is notable for being the first film Williams starred in. This movie is the third installment in the Friday stoner comedy film franchise. It follows the misadventures of two cousins, Craig, portrayed by Ice Cube, and Day-Day, played by Mike Epps. Throughout the film, they encounter an array of humorous situations. They also interact with colorful personalities, including Damon Pearly (Terry Crews) and Money Mike (Katt Williams). In summary, Friday After Next is a comedy film that combines holiday cheer with the signature humor of the Friday series. It offers an entertaining and humorous look at the challenges faced by Craig and Day-Day during the Christmas season.

1. First Sunday (2008)

This crime-comedy film stars Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan, and Katt Williams in lead roles. Durrell (Ice Cube) and Lee John (Tracy Morgan) are best friends struggling to make ends meet. Facing financial hardship and desperate to solve their problems, they hatch a plan to rob a local church’s safe. The two believe the safe contains a significant amount of cash and intend to steal enough of it to pay off their debts.

However, their heist goes awry when they discover the money has already been stolen. Williams’ character, Ricky, is the church’s choirmaster and arguably the funniest personality in the entire film. Despite the mixed critical reception, First Sunday was a box office hit. It also found its target audience and was greatly appreciated for its top-notch comedy. In addition, the movie delivers a message of hope, redemption, and the transformative power of faith and friendship.
