Pusha T Explains How Kanye West Took “Follow God” Away From Clipse

Pusha T and Kanye West have a very complicated relationship, and one that isn’t very amicable right now. Still, that doesn’t mean that they can’t look back on their extensive history, even if some of these reflections indicate more contentious moments. For example, Push and his brother No Malice spoke to Rolling Stone ahead of their upcoming reunion album as Clipse. During this conversation, they recalled pulling up to Wyoming in the late 2010s to work with Ye on his upcoming material, which included a self-titled 2018 album, Pusha’s own solo LP, and the Chicago artist’s 2019 project Jesus Is King.

Furthermore, this was the first time that Clipse worked together in almost ten years, but according to Pusha T, it was frustrating. Kanye West would allegedly “nix” Pusha’s ideas, but there was a lot of back-and-forth inspiration. One instance was when he and No Malice recorded over the “Follow God” beat, a song that eventually became a solo cut on Jesus Is King. “He gave us the beat. Forgot about the beat. We working on the records,” Pusha explained. “We laid [vocals] to it,” NM recalled. “Kanye was like, ‘I need that back,’” the “Nosetalgia” spitter added.

Of course, we all know that Clipse eventually reunited on Jesus Is King‘s “Use This Gospel” alongside Kanye West and Kenny G. As for their next moves, Pusha T and No Malice are just waiting on one feature for their new album Let God Sort Em Out before it drops later this year. “I’m so excited about this new Clipse album,” Push told the Ghetto Runways podcast recently. “That’s what I’m on right now. It’s absolutely finished. Just waiting on a feature. Just waiting on a feature, bro, just one feature.”

Meanwhile, Pusha T recently explained why Kanye West still collaborates a lot despite his volatile and bigoted ways as of late. “I believe that there’s a level of visibility that comes along with being next to somebody like Ye,” he told Complex. “At the end of the day, it’s a level of musicality and genius-level production that comes along with being next to him. So you get a lot of things that I think artists are looking for these days in being next to him. It’s all about the music for me and just making music at a certain level. I’ve been in this game a long time, so it’s about a certain type of hip-hop that I want to make. And truthfully, Ye definitely knows what I like to make, and I only want to be a part of things that I want to do.”

Ex-Yeezy Designer Claims Kanye West Has “Lost His Mind” And Works With “Toxic Losers”

Kanye West is still rolling VULTURES out with Ty Dolla $ign, but he’s also dealing with a media firestorm that has raged on for years now. For example, one of the many consequences of his antisemitic rants was the end of his Yeezy parternship with Adidas in 2022, one that famous sneaker designer Steven Smith helped broker all the way back in 2016. But it seems like that ship has also sailed. Moreover, new reports emerged that Ye fired Smith in early August of this year, and Smith spoke to Fast Company about this development. They described him as “a sensitive defender of Ye and, in particular, the treatment of his mental health.”

“He’s lost his mind,” Steven Smith said of Kanye West, which definitely indicates that he’s no longer as sympathetic as the publication suggested. “The whole of Yeezy is circling the drain and this is just part of it. He has surrounded himself with toxic, C-grade losers. […] I’m in a very happy place with it all. I will certainly be a priceless asset to whoever I work with next. It’s all his loss and the result of his foolishness.”

Furthermore, Kanye West has apparently also blocked Steven Smith on Instagram, but Smith didn’t really elaborate on why Ye fired him, or if this is actually how things went down. After all, Fast Company claims that Smith “reached a breaking point” when the Chicago artist tried and failed to launch a porn company. But it’s difficult to identify exactly what caused the breakdown of their relationship, mostly because the heaps of controversy over the past few years leave a lot of options on the table.

Meanwhile, other Kanye West antics these days involve the arrest of a woman who claims he telepathically ordered her to steal a car. Whether it’s the zaniest of zany headlines or legitimately disturbing sexual harassment accusations, there’s a lot to unpack. Sadly, things haven’t really gotten any easier to deal with as of late. We just have to wait and see what happens next in the saga of Ye, and hope that there are brighter days to come.

Big Sean Surprisingly Raps Over A Kanye West Beat On New Song, “Fighting Fires”

Big Sean’s new album Better Me Than You comes out in just a couple of hours (Friday, August 30), and fans can’t wait to hear what’s in store. However, some new SoundCloud-exclusive singles (or perhaps loosies) also have folks wondering whether we will get an update to one of his most complex sagas as a career musician. Of course, we’re talking about the Sean Don’s relationship with Kanye West, a complicated and often contentious one, especially in the 2020s decade. Nevertheless, Sean recently rapped about his status in the rap game on “Fighting Fires,” a SC-only song that used the beat from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s “MY SOUL” off of VULTURES 2.

This version of the cut features the VULTURES duo speaking about freedom, religion, and mass incarceration alongside Ty’s brother TC. Big Sean, on the other hand, provides more of a boastful and bar-heavy hip-hop display over the same “MY SOUL” instrumental. Another SoundCloud exclusive, “Dirty Work,” was taken down from the platform, so we don’t know if these are actual Better Me Than You singles or just random leftovers. Nevertheless, he had teased “Fighting Fires” all the way in July as a potential Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign collaboration on their next VULTURES effort, but we now know that this didn’t work out.

Rather, it seems like the former G.O.O.D. Music colleagues instead have their own individual versions of this cut. Big Sean has been through a lot to release Better Me Than You, so it’s no surprise that he wanted to get this release off his chest in some way. The album faced a full leak earlier this year, and many fans even thought that Kanye West was responsible for this. Sean himself dismissed this notion, instead showing love to Ye despite his disparaging comments about his G.O.O.D. signee during a previous interview.

Meanwhile, Kanye West isn’t the only person that allegedly inspired Big Sean amid this Better Me Than You rollout. Many Baby Keem fans felt like Sean was biting his style, another idea that he didn’t subscribe to at all. Nevertheless, his inspirations and dedications –wherever they come from – should make for a really compelling album experience. Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s recent VULTURES listening party in Korea on Thursday night (August 22) was more bizarre than most, and that’s saying something. Moreover, the reason why people raised their eyebrows at this particular event has to do with the former artist’s mention of one of his former friends turned current rivals. “This one’s for Drake, this one’s for Ian Connor,” Ye told the crowd when “I Wonder” started to play. Considering the track’s lyrical content and the questionable backgrounds of these figures, some fans took this as a diss about them being unable to find their dreams or a legitimate shoutout.

Either way, fans expressed confusion over this on social media, and aren’t really stepping in to defend neither Drake nor Ian Connor. Well, for Drizzy, a lot of fans think that Kanye West is just using his name for clout or once again walking back his previously negative stance on him. This year, that stance manifested into a “Like That” remix amid the Toronto rapper’s many beefs and plenty of disparaging comments down the line. Perhaps the sheer defeat he faced at the hands of Kendrick Lamar made Ye more sympathetic to his plight.

Jokes aside, some recent new footage of both Kanye West and Drake paints this picture in a more complicated fashion. Ye spoke to Candace Owens in a resurfaced 2022 interview about the 6ix God. “Drake is the best rapper ever by the numbers. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper ever by the inspiration,” he remarked. It’s funny that all these three artists collaborated on a song five years after Aubrey pretty much provoked Ye and Hov’s Watch The Throne album in a competitive fashion.

Meanwhile, as part of his 100 GIGS footage release, Drake showed off the process behind creating the hook for Kanye West’s “Yikes.” As such, it’s a bizarre time to view the relationship between these two titans of the music industry. Fans have as much access to their collaborative highs as they do to their pettily personal lows. We’ll see whether Ye explains this dedication, and whether they will ever reconcile.

Sadly, his other chicken references (about breasts and thighs…) on other projects, namely VULTURES 2, are even more uncomfortable. Do we even need to talk about “Closed On Sunday”? Nevertheless, speaking of finger-licking good breasts and thighs, Ye recently hit up a KFC with his wife Bianca Censori, who clearly understood that this would be a funny double entendre. She wore a skimpy top for the occasion (as usual), showing off a lot of cleavage. Furthermore, believe it or not, this isn’t the most bizarre or random public interaction that Kanye West and Bianca Censori have experienced in recent days. Well, considering all their antics, maybe that’s not saying much. As for other Kanye West news… As you can imagine, it’s a bit of a doozy. Far-right pundit Nick Fuentes recently claimed that he wanted to change his name to a swastika, which is a pretty self-explanatory red flag. But considering previous antisemitic rants, name changes, and other reclamations of identity, we guess we can’t express too much shock at this claim. After all, it’s just an unfounded claim from a distant colleague, so there might not be any truth to this.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori were strolling around Beverly Hills on Saturday (August 17) in a Cybertruck when they ran into a very curious sight. However, it was actually this curious sight that reacted excitedly when they spotted the couple, as a group of Trump supporters quickly swarmed the vehicle when they realized who was inside. It’s unclear if this group was at a rally of some sort, a casual gathering, a protest, or some other form of organized activity. Nevertheless, they started chanting Ye’s name, and he drove off when it became more about him than about old Donald. We know that he seemed to continue to support the convicted former president this year, so maybe they’re still buddy-buddy.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, recently made a blunt statement about Kanye West on Adin Ross’ stream. “He’s very complicated,” he said of the Chicago artist during his sit-down with Ross. “He’s a really nice guy. But he can get himself into trouble and get some other people, but you know. He’s got a good heart, he does. But he’s complicated.”

Elsewhere, Kanye West fans are witnessing yet another album cycle update itself in real time thanks to some new VULTURES 2 changes. Sadly for him and Ty Dolla $ign, these tweaks and fixes haven’t really turned people around when it comes to their assessment of the project’s quality. Many fans think that this is one of the more disappointing releases in the Ye catalog, and certainly one of the most unkempt. We’ll see if the third installment ever comes, but after these divisive drops, we know that many fans would rather just have him and Ty leave that in the vault.

Meanwhile, some other musical tweaks on Taylor Swift’s behalf suggest that she sent some shade Kanye West’s way on her new updated album. Particularly, it’s seemingly a reference to Kim Kardashian. But that’s mostly speculative despite their long history of beef, a history that makes it pretty hard to see this song title change as anything but a subliminal. This is according to a new report from In Touch that speaks to an alleged source supposedly close to the couple. Moreover, this individual claims that the couple currently mulls over IVF or insemination processes to have a kid, and Ye allegedly thinks that this will become a blessed and miraculous birth.

“[Kanye’s] been trying to have it done the natural way, but the word is he’s been a little unsuccessful. This is an odd development amid Kanye West’s many other headlines these days, including more drama surrounding his former colleague Milo Yiannopoulos and his bizarre claims about Ye. A release event hit the horizon, and a listening party in Utah featuring both artists and a host of special guests captivated many fans in attendance. Some highlights: updated versions to select VULTURES 2 tracks like a changed “FOREVER” verse, appearances from Ye’s daughters Chicago and North, live debuts of long-awaited grails like “CAN U BE,” and a whole lot more. But there’s a darker story brewing in the backdrop.

On various social media pages, including clips below and many other Twitter and Instagram discussions, Kanye West fans want the media to do better. Specifically, some pages that haven’t talked about the recent story involving his alleged nitrous addiction now face the wrath of angry comments sections. If you didn’t know about it beforehand but came across any recent Ye content on social media, then you’re definitely going to learn about it. It speaks to how fans are very concerned for his health and well-being these days, although much of this story is still alleged and speculative.

Perhaps a statement from him could illuminate the situation, but until then, it’s harmful to speculate too far. VULTURES 2 was not as commercially successful as its predecessor, but the album arguably marks an even more important historical moment for Kanye West. His most hardcore fans are working through a lot of narratives: the quality of his music, his health, his bigotry, and their compliance in all of that to varying degrees. Hopefully, the concern will eventually overshadow the spectacle and Ye can prioritize himself rather than his celebrity status or career, or at least clarify whether or not this addiction story is real.

It’s become a bit bizarre to see how hyper-obsessed with Bianca’s fashion choices, especially when there’s no consideration about her relationship with the Chicago rapper. As such, it’s more surprising whenever she dresses normally than when she dresses abnormally in the media… Make of that what you will.

Still, there’s a lot of ink on Kanye West’s alleged control of Bianca Censori in their relationship, a concerning and common narrative. “Kanye now exerts total control over Bianca’s life…” a source allegedly close to the couple told The Jasmine Brand. “He films her from every angle before they go out…Then he critiques her body right down to her private parts. It’s so demeaning. Kanye also screens her social media and controls what she eats and drinks… She’s not even allowed to go to bed until he tells her. He says it’s for her benefit, but he’s turned her into his own Stepford Wife!”

Of course, take all these claims with a grain of salt, as they come from unconfirmed sources and don’t provide any sort of proof. Also, when it comes to this outfit stuff, it’s not like Bianca Censori hasn’t covered up in public before, so looking at their bond through only their style will only get you so far. Hopefully all these rumors and speculative reports aren’t as accurate as some fans treat them online. After all, the allegations are much more harmful than just fashion choices.

Meanwhile, Kanye West also faced accusations of cheating, or at least attempting to cheat through alleged DMS to a model. With this in mind, things might be more complicated behind the scenes that what we can assume. YesJulz Accuses Milo Yiannopoulos Of Reaching Out To Kanye West’s Dentist Himself

Kanye West’s alleged nitrous oxide addiction, as claimed by his former Yeezy chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, shocked his fanbase this week. Moreover, Yiannopoulos filed an affidavit and complaint against celebrity dentist Thomas P. Connelly, accusing him of engaging in “the unlawful supply of enormous quantities of nitrous gas to a wealthy, famous patient for explicitly recreational use” after installing Ye’s titanium grill. In addition, the former chief of staff claimed that Connelly hired someone to physically attack him. But another affiliate of the Chicago artist’s, YesJulz, fired back against Yiannopoulos’ claims on Twitter after the legal paperwork mentioned her, accusing him of connecting Kanye to Connelly in the first place.

“Riddle me this hero,” YesJulz’s seemingly since-deleted accusation against Milo Yiannopoulos began concerning Kanye West’s alleged nitrous gas addiction. “Who suggested for him to get the grill in the first place? When [they told me] to book the appointment I expressed my concerns & pushed back twice asking if he [for] sure wanted to do it. I was told that the decision was made.
