Congratulations to Kali Uchis and Don Toliver, who are expecting their first child together. The two made a joint Instagram post, revealing they are staring at their family.
“Starting our family,” the two wrote. “Don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
One of hip-hop, pop, and R&B’s favorite couple just dropped a bombshell announcement ahead of a huge release. Moreover, we’re all expecting Kali Uchis’ new album Orquídeas in our hands very soon– in mere hours, in fact, as it drops tomorrow (Friday, January 12). However, ahead of its release, she decided to drop a new dual music video and two tastes of new tracks titled “Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa” (Your Heart Is Mine / Goddess) on her YouTube page to get fans excited for the full-length. But the dual single and music video also serves a dual purporse. The Colombian-Virginian singer announced that she is pregnant with her first child, whose father is her boo Don Toliver, and we and the rest of fans couldn’t be more excited for them.
Furthermore, this is exactly the narrative that the “Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa” music video portrays. For example, the couple cooks some eggs and other foods together in their opulent house, and it also features home recording footage of the two stars growing up. Eventually, they hit the road and travel through some more lavish set-pieces and locations, while also intercutting footage of their sonogram and other early pregnancy moments. It’s a very engaging visual treatment that follows previous singles for Orquídeas such as “Te Mata” and “Labios Mordidos.” Kali Uchis is clearly bringing us something very special, and we can’t wait to dive into how the album’s themes will connect to this happy news.
Kali Uchis’ “Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa”: Stream & Watch The Music Video
Meanwhile, the “Muñekita” star’s new songs sound phenomenal: they contrast each other well between a more traditional ballad and dancehall and reggaetón-inspired rhythms. As always, Kali Uchis’ vocals soar over her chosen instrumentation, and despite the winter cold across much of the world right now, this will heat you right back up. Hopefully Orquídeas contains many more gems like these, something we’d be ready to bet an arm and a leg on. If you haven’t heard “Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa” yet, check out the music video above and peep some standout lines below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for more amazing music releases around the clock.
Quotable Lyrics (translated from Spanish according to music video’s YouTube description) Been together a while, And I know sometimes things get difficult, For you, I’d do it a hundred thousand times more, for better or for worse, You know that I’ll always be by your side
Kali Uchis revealed today (January 11) that she is expecting her first child, as she and Don Toliver have been dating. The reveal might have been a shock to fans, however, who might not have known the two were together, especially without catching some of their public appearances.
Here’s what to know.
How Long Have Don Toliver & Kali Uchis Been Dating?
“We’re not crazy public or nothing like that,” he told the publication. “We just vibe.”
“I already had it in my mind to go out there and shoot a video with her incorporated into it, to make it a real-deal situation,” Toliver added, as they went to Colombia to shoot the videos earlier in the year. He also met her family while out there, but to keep the relationship private, he didn’t reveal much else.
Because of this, Uchis and Toliver had likely been dating at least a bit before then, enough to go to meet her parents.
Kali Uchis has a big year ahead of her. Her album Orquídeas is set to drop in a matter of hours, she’s performing at BottleRock Napa Valley this summer, and today (January 11), she revealed the biggest news of all: She announced she is pregnant with her and Don Toliver’s first baby together.
In a 30-second video shared on both Uchis and Toliver’s Instagram accounts, there’s professionally shot footage showing off Uchis’ baby bump, as well as clips of the couple at doctor’s appointments and clips of the two when they were kids themselves. Uchis captioned the post, “Starting our family [mending heart emoji] don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
It had been rumored for months that Uchis is pregnant, but now she has finally confirmed the news herself.
Toliver first confirmed he and Uchis were an item in 2021, saying, “We’re not crazy public or nothing like that. We just vibe.” He gushed about her in a 2023 interview with Nardwuar, saying, “She’s amazing. I love her artistry! Her artistry is beyond.”
During a REAL 92.3 LA interview, Uchis called starting her own family “one of my biggest goals in life,” noting that she’d ultimately like to have two kids.
The timing of the baby announcement makes this an especially exciting weekend for Uchis, whose new album is out on January 12.
Kali Uchis is one of this generation’s most consistent artists. The sheer volume of music that pours out of her is pretty astounding. What is even more remarkable is that her sonic creativity spans two languages. Last year, she flexed her vocal abilities in English on Red Moon In Venus. This year, on Orquídeas, she will do it all again, but in Spanish.
In a statement, she discussed the delicate inspiration behind the forthcoming project. “The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth,” she said. “I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful, and sensual allure of the orchid. With this vast scope of fresh energy, I wish to redefine the way we look at Latinas in music.”

Kali Uchis and KAROL G have been dominating the Latin music scene over the past couple of years. Both have massive hits under their belts. For Kali her biggest hits have spanned across her entire career. Her most recent smash hit has been “Moonlight from her 2023 record,Red Moon In Venus.
On the opposite, KAROL G has been in the industry for just about the same amount of time as her partner in crime. 2023 was also a big year for the 32-year-old sensation. MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO continues to produce numbers for her. In fact, all five of her most popular tracks on Spotify are from that tape. One of them, “PROVENZA,” has just crossed one billion streams. For context, the album came out in late February. Both powerhouses are very familiar with each other, and now they are back at it again.
Listen To “Labios Mordidos” By Kali Uchis And KAROL G
This time, Kali and KAROL team up for a steamy track, “Labios Mordidos.” This translates to “Bitten Lips” are we can see why it is called that. The content of the lyrics is very sexual with both singing about how attractive women are. It takes a “lesbian approach,” which makes sense as Kali has been bi for basically her entire life, according to Auralcrave. On YouTube, the music video already has over 2.2 million views in two days. That is good enough for number four on trending for music.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Kali Uchis and KAROL G, “Labios Mordidos?” Is this going to be one of the biggest tracks of the year? Quotable Lyrics (English Translation):
The baby is aggressive with that cute face (Hey) She’s well-established in her whole neighborhood Short skirt and gistro leaning out of the sunroof Her a** leaves everyone on mute Strawberry gloss to bring it down (Bring it down) Quietly so that no one knows (Ah)
This morning, November 24, “Labios Mordidos” is here in all its reggaeton glory. In the accompanying video, Karol G and Uchis pull up to a mansion in a chrome pink tour bus. They strut inside and lead a dance party, involving an indoor halfpipe and lots of bikinis. Around the one-minute mark, it cuts to Uchis singing in the middle of an octagon. She remains untouched and unfazed despite a full-blown MMA fight occurring around her.
The vibes are mellower out by the pool, where some women twerk and others splash in the pool. Uchis confidently delivers titillating lines like “Your girlfriend goes crazy when I arrive” and “Tonight, I’m a lesbian” (as translated from Spanish to English by Genius). By the end, Karol G and Uchis walk slowly away from a fiery explosion. Which, fitting.
“LABIOS MORDIDOS OUT NOW for your holidays ft @karolg,” Uchis captioned an Instagram video (roughly translated from Spanish to English). “thank you very much for being part of this project my beautiful queen and thank you to all the people that made this video possible with love and dedication.”
This January, Uchis shared her plan to release two albums — one primarily English and one primarily Spanish — in 2023. In early March, she dropped Red Moon In Venus, and she will hold up the second half of her promise on January 12, 2024 with the arrival of Orquídeas.

Last night, Kali Uchis announced that she is dropping an exciting new collaboration soon, as she’s bringing Karol G on for their new song, “Labios Mordidos.” In an Instagram post, Uchis shared a photoshoot that she and Karol did, where the two are dressed in complementary outfits.
Karol gives off the sweet energy, wearing all-pink, while Uchis is rocking a leather jacket. The promo even puts them on a movie-themed poster, as they give off the “dynamic duo in an action movie” vibes. At the bottom, they are both wearing black sunglasses, holding hands, and walking away from an explosion — one they likely created.
There’s even a behind-the-scenes video that shows fire was actually used to shoot the image, proving that Uchis and Karol are putting their all into this release. And, if this is just for the teaser, it’s exciting to think what the music video will look like.
Fans are here for it too, with one joking in Uchis’ comments that they “haven’t seen this version of The Matrix yet.” The song will be included in Uchis’ upcoming Orquídeas album.
