Besides being the strongest lyricist of the two City Girls, JT is also the rap diva with a fashion education that she uses to keep herself looking fly. Her taste certainly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but that hasn’t stopped the Florida native from moving confidently on and off stage. During a recent performance, the “No Bars” hitmaker wore sky-high heels that unfortunately made her fall to the floor while performing on stage. Thankfully, her partner in rhyme Yung Miami was beside her to hype her up and get their show back on track.

In the clip below, JT seems to lose her footing as “Take Yo Man” blares over the speakers. After the City Girl awkwardly stumbles backward and recovers, we see Caresha Brownlee crossing over to help make sure she’s okay before getting back to spitting into the microphone. “I love how Miami went to help her and hyped her back up. Real friend shiii! 👏🏾,” one Instagram user observed in @theneighborhoodtalk’s comments.

JT Might Tumble Sometimes, But She Always Gets Back Up

Nicki Minaj Flexes Her Thanksgiving Feast

Nicki Minaj recently took to social media to show off the meal she prepared for Thanksgiving, leaving her followers drooling. Her feast consisted of mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken, and more. She even threw in some crab legs, an unorthodox but welcome addition to the holiday meal.

Followers fully expected Nicki to pop off in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, and they’re not the only ones. Her friend JT of City Girls shot her a text the day of, letting her know that she was looking forward to seeing what she cooked up. “Happy Thanksgiving!” she wrote. “You started cooking yet? I want to see the food.” Nicki responded, telling her that she’d definitely be taking the opportunity to flex her cooking skills. “Yes tf I am ma’am!!!!!” she wrote, wishing her a happy holiday as well.

JT Wishes She Dined With Nicki

The “No Bars” performer went on to share Nicki’s screenshot of their chat, revealing that she wishes she could have dined with Nicki. The Trinidadian-born rapper clearly went all out this year, which makes sense considering all that she has to be thankful for. Earlier this month, she took home an award for Top Female Rap Artist at the Billboard Music Awards for the first time in her career. She went on to thank the Barbz for their support and tease Pink Friday 2, which is slated for release on December 8.

“Thank you to the Billboard Music Awards for presenting me with the best female rap award of 2023,” she said in a clip before blowing fans a kiss. “Barbz, you are amazing. I appreciate you so much. A few weeks ago, Lil Uzi Vert told fans that the third installment of their Luv Is Rage mixtape series is on the way, noting that “I only drop Luv Is Rage when my heart is hurting. It’s about that time.” Although the Philly rapper declined to elaborate, it looks like the reason for the aforementioned pain might be a breakup with their longtime girlfriend JT of City Girls. According to Hot97, the two rappers had unfollowed each other on Instagram, citing a gossip account with screenshots of Uzi venting on their Story.

In the posts, Uzi wrote, “Im not as close to my family as I should be. My relationship isn’t in the best shape. I JUST WANNA BREATHE… I’ve been distant from everyone lately, even if they are standing right next to me.” While neither has confirmed a breakup — and this isn’t the first time such a rumor has surfaced — the evidence for such a conclusion is certainly mounting.

The two rappers had been dating ever since 2021 when JT said Uzi gave her $30,000 on their first date. Later that year, Uzi reportedly rented out an amusement park for JT’s 29th birthday.

However, things seemed rocky earlier this year, when JT threw her phone at Uzi during the BET Awards. While some fans and gossip outlets speculated that she was angry at him for allegedly flirting with Ice Spice, who was seated near them. Meanwhile, JT herself told The Breakfast Club she was actually irritated because Uzi gave her seat to ASAP Bari, who refused to get up.

Is City Girls’ JT Changing Her Rap Name?

Miami rap duo City Girls has a new album out, but that isn’t stopping one of the group’s members from considering a name change to help her solo career out. JT recently admitted that her rap name is a little less than ideal from a search optimization standpoint after a fan on Twitter noted that efforts to get her name trending were futile since it’s just two letters. “I think I should change my rap name but to what?” she asked her followers.

Does this mean the rapper is officially changing her name?

Well, it wouldn’t be unprecedented for her to do so. In 2021, another rising rap star, Latto, changed her name after receiving some backlash over her prior nom de guerre. At the time, she explained why following through on those plans can be complicated with big implications for a career already in motion. “I want [my fans] to also understand that the name change at this level in your career is a big decision,” she said. “Freaking investors, labels, everything has been riding on this name, so it is a big decision.”

Also in 2021, Yung Baby Tate shortened her own name to just Baby Tate, which is admittedly a little catchier. Should JT decide to change her name, it’ll mean updating a lot of contracts and online info, but her fans’ responses suggest that at least a new one could still be recognizable; options suggested included “Jay Tea,” “The Girl JT” (based on her Twitter handle), or even just “Jatavia” — a strategy that has worked for her partner Yung Miami, whose talk show Caresha Please uses her real first name.

Asian Doll Disses JT For Switching Up On Nicki Minaj

Recently, following the release of the new City Girls album JT has been busy. One thing fans started to take notice of is how often she brought up Nicki Minaj. Though it was all love when Nicki did come up, that hasn’t always been the case. That resulted in fans hitting her with allegations of clout chasing and switching up. Her defense wasn’t exactly rock solid when she went online and claimed that anyone else would do the same given her circumstances.

Now, Asian Doll is tapping in and taking a direct shot at the City Girl. “You b*tches should’ve show genuine love years ago but instead you dissed… so yes you look like a d*ck riding b*tch we all see it” Asian Doll tweeted in response. City Girls Drop Third LP “Raw” Today

In a teaser video posted to their socials on Saturday (Oct. 14), JT and Yung Miami describe their upcoming album as “serious a–, freestylin’ cypher a–rap” and “scammin’, trickin’ p—y rap.”

On RAW, the Miami-raised City Girls debut their new single for “Flashy” ft Kim Petras, marking the first collaboration between the rap duo and the Grammy-winning pop star. with a video to follow on Friday afternoon, Oct. 20. Directed by Jenzar, life is good for the trio, as Petras sings: “Stylin’, shinin’ / I’m so flawless like my diamonds / I’m flashy / Big bags, price tags / You know all I wear is name brands / I’m flashy.” 

JT and Yung Miami remain the ultimate alter-ego for city girls and city boys worldwide, putting into their lyrics and music exactly what they think (and what others often wish they said), resulting in more than 15 billion cumulative streams – and ushering in a new wave of real female power – since their 2018 mixtape Period.

City Girls Revealed The ‘RAW’ Tracklist, And It Features Collabs With Lil Durk, Muni Long, And Kim Petras

We are just hours away from City Girls‘ third studio album, RAW. This new album marks the rap duo’s first album in three years, and like any City Girls project, the tracklist is stacked with hits — both past and future.

City Girls finally revealed the tracklist tonight (October 19) via Instagram, and fans can expect to hear 18 tracks. Ahead of the album, City Girls have already released their Usher collab, “Good Love,” which came out over a year ago. This past summer, they released the singles “Piñata” and “I Need A Thug,” as well as JT’s solo track, “No Bars.”

The rest of the album boasts some pretty promising collabs, including “Static” with Lil Durk and “Emotions” with Muni Long. Earlier this week, the girls teased “Flashy” with Kim Petras as the next single from RAW.

City Girls Don’t Have A Single Bad Project According To JT

The City Girls are in full album mode. The duo of JT and Yung Miami are gearing up to release their new album RAW tonight. It’s their first project since 2020’s City On Lock and has been preceded by a number of singles earlier this year. They’ve also teased some of the new songs set to appear on the project. One of them features a sung hook from one of 2022’s breakout pop stars Kim Petras. The album has had a pretty short promotional period with the official announcement coming just last week and the album cover being revealed earlier this week.

In preparation for the album dropping, JT clarified something for her fans online. “City girls don’t have one bad album! Can’t believe this is our 4th project! don’t forget where a lot of you b*tches got y’all direction from!” she tweeted earlier today. In the comments, fans debate the merit of their claims. Recently the City Girls showed up for the BET Hip-Hop Awards where they previewed a song from their new album. That song was their newest single “Face Down.” The track is a raunchy banger that dropped last month before the official announcement of the album. They also performed JT’s debut solo single “No Bars” from earlier this year.

Kali Uchis Revealed The ‘Orquídeas’ Tracklist And It Features Collabs With Peso Pluma, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, And More

Kali Uchis will ring in 2024 with her new album, Orquídeas, which arrives at the top of the year. This album will be sung primarily in Spanish, demonstrating Uchis’ talents across various musical landscapes.

Ahead of the album, Uchis has shared the song “Muñekita,” which features rapper El Alfa and JT from City Girls. She is also dropping a new single, “Te Mata” this Friday (October 20).

Today (October 18), Uchis has taken to Instagram to reveal the album’s tracklist, which features all Spanish titles (with the exception of a song called “Young, Rich & In Love”), as well as some promising collaborators. Though the tracklist artwork doesn’t reveal the features, a Spotify billboard shared a more detailed tracklist in tandem with Uchis’ reveal.

Peso Pluma, Karol G, and Rauw Alejandro are all expected to appear on Orquídeas, and these collaborations are guaranteed to be fire.
