Jonathan Majors’ Accuser Details Alleged Violent Relationship In Court

Jonathan Majors‘ accuser, Grace Jabbari, testified in his misdemeanor assault trial on Tuesday, alleging that he was liable to go into fits of “rage” during their time together. While she admits she originally “felt very loved and cared for, and very seen,” at the beginning of their relationship, she explained that she found herself being afraid of the Creed III actor. On the stand, she detailed several instances in 2022 when he was controlling, threw objects at her, and more.

“His face kind of changes when he gets into that place,” Jabbari told the jury. “He’s a big guy so you just want to step back.” She explained that she would calm him down and he would apologize and sometimes admittedly refer to himself as a “monster.” He would also allegedly threaten to kill himself after the outbursts.

Jabbari further recalled: “I felt I was existing in his world. Emotionally and physically, all these ways. I didn’t feel my autonomy. I had low self-esteem, I lost weight, I felt unconfident. I felt really dependent on him. He was the only one who knew what went on. I found it hard to [see my family and friends]. I felt I was lying to them.” According to Rolling Stone, Majors spent almost all of Jabbari’s testimony with his head down. Facing four misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment, he could spend upwards of a year in prison if convicted. He was first arrested for allegedly attacking Jabbari in New York on March 25 during a cab ride. The argument began when he received an intimate text from a woman, which Jabbari noticed.

Jonathan Majors arrived in court for opening statements in the trial in New York City on Monday with his girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, by his side. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Be on the lookout for further updates on Jonathan Majors’ assault and harassment case on HotNewHipHop.

Opening Statements of Jonathan Majors Trial Delivered, Details of Incident Revealed

Jonathan Majors Dropped From Three Projects, Including Otis Redding Biopic

The opening statements of Jonathan Majors‘ assault case were delivered on Monday (Dec. 4). The prosecutor would reveal details of the alleged incidents that led to law enforcement being called.

The prosecutor, Michael Perez, revealed the March 25 incident was not between two strangers. Instead, he detailed that Majors and his girlfriend Grace Jabbari were in a “serious relationship” of two years and once discussed marriage and kids.

The night was stated to have gone left inside a private car when a woman named Cleopatra texted Majors, “Wish I was kissing you right now.” Jabbari grabbed the phone, leading to a struggle between the two. Majors is stated to have tried to pry her finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and pain. Opposing the story is Majors’s defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, who stated Jabbari did the assault, resulting in rips to the actor’s coat.

According to Variety, Chaudhry stated Jabbari would go to a club with strangers after the event, while Majors checked into a hotel and sent a text ending the relationship. Jabbari returned to the apartment and called Majors 32 times, then took two sleeping pills. Majors went to the apartment the following morning, found Jabbari on the closet floor, and then called the police out of concern. Jabbari reportedly threatened suicide in the texts.

The trial is expected to last two weeks and have testimony from Jabbari and potentially the private car driver.

Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Arrive In Court For Opening Statements

Jonathan Majors arrived in court for opening statements in his assault and harassment case in New York City on Monday. His girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, stood by his side as they walked into the courthouse. Majors faces misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment for an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The London-based movement coach is expected to testify in the case.

Jabbari claims the Creed III actor attacked her after she snatched his cellphone out of his hands during a taxi ride in Chinatown. She had seen a message reading, “I wish I was kissing you right now,” from another woman. She says he twisted her finger and put her arm behind her back while hitting her ear. From there, he picked her up and threw her back inside the car when she attempted to get out.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 03: Actor Jonathan Majors, and his girlfriend, Meagan Good, flanked by his lawyer Priya Chaudhry, arrive to Manhattan Criminal Court for his pre-trial hearing on August 03, 2023 in New York City. If convicted, Majors could face up to a year in jail over misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment. (Photo by Alexi Rosenfeld/Getty Images)

Majors has pleaded not guilty to the six misdemeanor assault and three misdemeanor harassment charges. He argues that Jabbari was the aggressor in the altercation. “Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this shameful ordeal, has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart. Yet he remains unwavering in his determination to be absolved from this harrowing ordeal,” Majors’ lawyers wrote in a statement after his arrest. Three months after the arrest, police arrested Jabbari as well, claiming there to be probable cause that she assaulted Majors. However, the district attorney’s office quickly dropped the case.

Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Hold Hands

Of her arrest, Judge Criminal Court Judge Michael Gaffey said during last week’s pretrial hearings: “There are individuals who pass through this courthouse every day who are indigent and accused of a crime. I don’t believe I’ve ever witnessed, three months later, an indigent person requesting the arrest of a complainant, and then the complainant was indeed arrested. Did this only come about because of the high-profile nature of this case? And if this was an indigent, everyday New Yorker, would this have happened?” Be on the lookout for further updates on Jonathan Majors’ assault and harassment case on HotNewHipHop.

Meagan Good & Jonathan Majors Go Viral As He “Fixes” Her Hair: “That Braid Sticking Out Of Her Bun”

Jonathan Majors began 2023 by soaring to new heights in his career thanks to projects like Creed III and the latest Ant-Man film, though his star quickly came crashing down after a domestic dispute in a New York taxi cab with his then-girlfriend. Things became physical between them after she allegedly saw a message from another woman pop up on his phone, ultimately leading to the California native’s arrest. His large social circle crumbled almost instantly, leaving Majors standing alone against his harrowing charges.

Thankfully, he’s since found new love with Harlem actress Meagan Good, though not everyone is convinced of their relationship’s legitimacy. The pair have been in court together this week, and on Thursday (November 30), a new video of the actor “fixing” his other half’s hair began circulating online, though the reasons weren’t as flattering as Majors likely hoped. In the clip below, the 34-year-old steps behind Good to help her into her jacket, lifting her hair so it (mostly) didn’t get caught beneath the fabric.

Of course, ruthless social media users are pointing out that Good walked away from the encounter with a large strand of hair sticking out of her bun – something they would’ve liked to have seen Majors adjust for his girl as well. “Him not fixing the part I thought he was gonna fix is sending me,” one viewer laughed. “He’s so new to dating Black women that he left that braid sticking out of her bun omg,” another speculated, stirring up plenty of discourse.

Jonathan Majors Arrives on Opening Day of Trial Holding a Bible and Meagan Good’s Hand

Jonathan Majors Dropped From Three Projects, Including Otis Redding Biopic

Jonathan Majors hit day one of his trial on Wednesday in New York City Criminal Court. According to Variety, Majors arrived carrying a bible and holding hands with Meagan Good.

Ahead of the start of the trial, Majors pleaded not guilty to four charges of assault and aggravated harassment. He faces a year in jail if convicted.

During day one, the Majors team requested that “contested evidence” remain sealed and not allowed to be publicly viewed due to the high-profile case. Media filed a motion in opposition, which attorney Seth Zuckerman believes would not allow a fair trial for Majors. Judge Michael Gaffey ruled in the defense’s favor of keeping the documents sealed.

Majors will not have to testify and also do not need to appear.

Ahead of the trial, one Hollywood insider believes the Marvel train is in serious trouble with the ending of Loki.

In case you aren’t heavy into the comic book world, Majors plays the role of Kang the Conquerer, a central figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the cornerstone of various releases currently out, releasing, or to be released in the future. That includes the Avengers film, which is currently slated for 2026.

“Marvel is truly fucked with the whole Kang angle,” says the insider who has seen all of Loki to Variety. “And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him.”

Last month, reports emerged stating Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence accuser will be charged with assault concerning the incident that led to the actor’s arrest earlier this year.

According to Radar Online, the accuser, Grace Jabbari, was issued a summons to appear in New York court for the assault. Jabbari is “expected to voluntarily report to the NYPD’s 10th precinct in the near future” according to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information of the New York Police Department. The charges will not be pursued by further.

Previously, Jabbari stated Majors hit her with an “open hand” leading to a substantial injury behind her ear. Jabbari also claimed Majors caused swelling after he grabbed her hand and “put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain.”

A charge for the alleged strangulation was dropped.

Jonathan Majors Trial: Judge To Rule On Unsealing London Police Report

The assault trial of actor Jonathan Majors has begun in New York. Majors is accused of the misdemeanor assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors allegedly became physically violent with Jabbari during a night out in March. However, before the trial gets fully underway, the presiding judge will rule on the admissibility of one particular document. The prosecution entered a domestic violence report filed with The Metropolitan Police in London, England six months before Majors’ New York arrest. Before the trial begins in full, the judge will rule if that police report is unsealed and thus part of the public record.

The day before the trial start, Majors was seen in New York with his current girlfriend, actress Meagan Good. The pair, who have been dating since the summer, were spotted at Jack’s Wife Freda for lunch before taking to the streets of the city, with Majors wrapping his arm around Good. Good has appeared by Majors’ side for much of the pre-trial proceedings. Meanwhile, several other women have come forward with similar allegations of violence against Majors. Furthermore, a Rolling Stone investigation painted a picture of violence and manipulation that dated back as far as Majors’ time at Yale. The trial remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

Majors Facing Several Career Implications

Furthermore, as Majors’ trial begins, several major consequences still hang over his head. Magazine Dreams, an upcoming drama starring Majors, will no longer be released on December 8. Speaking with CNN, Disney confirmed that the film did not currently have a release date. Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney, acquired the distribution rights to the film after it opened to rave reviews at Sundance. Furthermore, Disney’s live-action Snow White film starring Rachel Zegler has been pushed back from March 2024 to March 2025.

Additionally, according to an extensive report from Variety, Marvel is reportedly considering what action to take over the ongoing Majors situation. At a retreat in September, studio execs discussed various backup plans if the actor is found guilty at his trial. Majors was meant to be the crux of the next era of the MCU. However, the actor’s assault charges have put that in jeopardy. While he has appeared in the most recent season of Loki, it’s likely the last time Majors will be seen in the MCU for some time. “Marvel is truly f-cked with the whole Kang angle. And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him,” one high-ranking executive said.

Jonathan Majors & Meagan Good Get Cozy In NYC Ahead Of Actor’s Trial

Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good were spotted eating out and cuddling up in New York City this week. The pair, who have been dating since the summer, were spotted at Jack’s Wife Freda for lunch before taking to the streets of the city, with Majors wrapping his arm around Good. While the couple have been spotted coast-to-coast and beyond since they got together, this might be their last date for a while.

November 29, the day after their date, marks the start of Majors’ jury trial for assault. Majors stands accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, back in March. Proceedings have dragged on throughout the year, with Majors’ defense team deeming the accusations a witch hunt. However, several other women came forward with similar allegations of violence against Majors. Furthermore, a Rolling Stone investigation painted a picture of violence and manipulation that dated back as far as Majors’ time at Yale. The trial remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

Marvel Mulls Removing Jonathan Majors From Future Projects

According to an extensive report from Variety, Marvel is reportedly considering what action to take over the ongoing Jonathan Majors situation. At a retreat in September, studio execs discussed various backup plans if the actor is found guilty at his trial, which begins later this month. Majors was meant to be the crux of the next era of the MCU. However, the actor’s assault charges have put that into jeopardy. While he has appeared in the most recent season of Loki, it’s likely that’s the final project for the time being Majors will shoot roles for.

“Marvel is truly f-cked with the whole Kang angle. And they haven’t had an opportunity to rewrite until very recently [because of the WGA strike]. But I don’t see a path to how they move forward with him,” one high-ranking executive said. This is especially given the upcoming finale of Loki‘s Season 2, which reportedly has major implications for the immediate future of the MCU.

Jonathan Majors Sees Upcoming Film Dropped From Release Slate

Meanwhile, Magazine Dreams, an upcoming drama starring Jonathan Majors, will no longer be released on December 8. Speaking with CNN, Disney confirmed that the film did not currently have a release date. Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney, acquired the distribution rights to the film after it opened to rave reviews at Sundance. That comes out next week and is expected to underperform at the box office.

However, the decision to delay Magazine Dreams was widely expected by industry experts. Majors’ trial for assault charges begins in late November. That makes early December an inopportune time to promote and release the film. Furthermore, the film features Majors as an amateur bodybuilder who resorts to increasingly violent means to pursue his dreams. Given the charges that Majors is facing in court, Disney would likely face backlash for being “tasteless” if they were to release the film.

Jonathan Majors Accuser Surrenders To Police

Meanwhile, Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend of Majors, surrendered to police in New York this week after her arrest was sought for an assault against Majors. Majors filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari in June amid an investigation into assault charges she filed against him in March. Jabbari is accused of hitting Majors’ hand and face, as well as damaging his coat. The confrontation reportedly occurred in the back of a New York cab.

Jabbari was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief. However, the DA has reportedly told the NYPD that they will not prosecute Jabbari. Per TMZ, a spokesperson for the DA’s office said that they have “no intention of prosecuting Jabbari for the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023.” In short, the DA is not interested in pursuing their key witness for charges their primary defendant raised three months after the incident in question. It’s unknown if Jabbari will testify at Majors’ trial next month.
