Jonathan Majors will seemingly close a very huge and turbulent chapter of his life, as his ex girlfriend Grace Jabbari dropped the federal defamation and assault lawsuit against him on Thursday (November 21), according to AllHipHop. For those unaware, she sued him three months after a New York court found him guilty of assaulting and harassing her in March of 2023. The actor received a domestic violence counseling sentence a month after his former partner filed another lawsuit alleging defamation. She specifically accused him of portraying her as an outright liar and not a survivor, characterizing his claims of innocence after the guilty verdict as purely defamatory.

Furthermore, Grace Jabbari accused Jonathan Majors of defamation given that he “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News wherein he doubled down on his public attack of Grace, claiming that she is lying about the entire pattern of abuse she has described, as he has ‘never laid [his] hands on a woman,’” per legal documents. Now, however, attorneys on both sides filed a joint notice in the court this past Thursday to announce that they “dismissed” the legal battle “with prejudice.”

This is another piece of good news for Jonathan Majors, as he and Meagan Good also recently announced their engagement. The two proved to be quite the controversial couple not just because of his legal scandal, but also because there were frequent rumors about trouble in paradise. Of course, you can say the same about plenty of celebrity relationships, but this one particularly threw fans for a loop. The suit was filed in March, citing Majors painting Jabbari as a liar and having a history of domestic abuse, which followed a third-degree assault and second-degree harassment conviction. His sentence was a 52-week domestic violence program.

According to TMZ, the former Marvel actor is attending his first-ever convention later this month. The con in question is the Famous Monsters Fest in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, which is scheduled for next week (September 15).

Reportedly, Majors will be also selling autographs at the convention for $140 each, or a whopping $160 for autographed headshots. Other stars like Lord Of The Rings’ Andy Serkis, Star Trek‘s George Takei, Halloween’s Tyler Mane, and more are also expected to attend.

Jonathan Majors Requests Extension in Defamation Lawsuit Filed by Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari

Jonathan Majors Dropped by Marvel Following Guilty Verdict

Actor Jonathan Majors is facing another legal hurdle as his newly appointed legal team requests more time to respond to a defamation of character lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. This request comes after Majors, 34, hired new representation last month to handle the ongoing case.

According to reports Majors’ legal team filed a motion asking the judge to extend the deadline for their response from August 15 to September 19. Court documents reveal that the request was made to allow Majors’ attorneys to gather all relevant case files and to continue crucial discussions with Jabbari’s legal team.

“The Parties are in agreement that an extension beyond August 15, 2024 is necessary for the following reasons; (1) [Jonathan’s] counsel is still in the process of gathering the relevant file with respect to the case; and (2) counsel for [Grace] and [Jonathan] are currently engaged in important dialogue regarding the case and need additional time to have these extensive discussions,” stated Majors’ attorney in the filing.

Grace Jabbari, 31, filed the lawsuit accusing Majors of assault, battery, and defamation. The lawsuit follows a previous legal battle where Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault and second-degree assault in January. However, he was acquitted on other charges related to the incident with Jabbari, which occurred in March 2023.

Majors has consistently denied all claims of wrongdoing. The ongoing legal challenges have cast a shadow over his career, and the outcome of this defamation lawsuit could have significant implications for his future.
