Joe Budden Claims Numerous Artists Are Making Albums With AI

Joe Budden is someone who has always been open and honest about his feelings as it pertains to the music industry. Overall, if there is something that perturbs him, he is going to speak on it. Although his harsh album reviews have made him some enemies over the years, his fans are the ones who matter. They are always eager and willing to hear what he has to say. One area that Joe is particularly opinionated about is artificial intelligence. After all, AI is something that has truly exploded in 2023.

While on the Need To Know podcast, Budden got to speak at length about artificial intelligence and its potential impact on the music landscape. Budden has always been a staunch advocate for the real creatives out there. He is not a fan of those who simply make stuff for commercial success. Overall, he is someone who appreciates true artistry. However, AI has the potential to completely remove that from the music world entirely. Below, he even notes how some artists are using it to construct whole albums.

Joe Budden Issues A Warning

Although Joe did not give proof or any names, he did say that he can tell the difference between an album made by a human soul and one that is governed by AI. Perhaps in the future, regular music listeners will begin telling the difference as well. For now, however, most mainstream artists have not let on to the alleged use of AI. While some have partnered with AI programs for one-off songs, whole albums have been a bit of a taboo. Only time will tell whether or not that completely changes.

Artificial intelligence will continue to be a hot topic of debate in the music world. Having said that, let us know what you think of AI, in the comments section below. Are you okay with its usage, or do you think it needs to go away? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Joe Budden Won’t Return To Gillie & Wallo’s “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” Podcast

There are fewer feuds within the rap podcasting world than within the genre itself, but there are still some scuffles here and there. However, one of its most prominent– that of Joe Budden and Gille and Wallo of Million Dollaz Worth Of Game– became water under the bridge this year. On this program, the three individuals squashed their issues with each other earlier in 2023, and came together for quite the engaging and compelling conversation. That’s why many folks thought something went wrong when the Slaughterhouse MC told the Need to Know Podcast that he’ll never appear on Gille and Wallo’s show again.

“I’m never doing that show again,” Joe Budden told the show’s host, SaVon. “If they call me, I’m there for them. Just not on their show. But anything that Gillie and Wallo need from me, I’m there. Love them, f**k with what they’re doing. I just don’t need to be on the show again. But they have my support.” Of course, this could be for many different reasons. Maybe they don’t want to recycle content just yet, maybe they don’t want to compete as directly with each other, or they simply don’t feel a strong enough urge to do it again.

Joe Budden Speaks On Other Content Creators: Watch

For those unaware, tensions between these groups grew back in 2020 when The Joe Budden Podcast discussed a producer’s departure from Million Dollaz Worth Of Game following a pricey Barstool Sports deal. “Why was y’all n***as talking about us on your podcast?” Gillie retorted on social media. “We don’t talk about other podcasts on our podcast. It must be dead fred over that motherf***er, huh? Stop speaking on business that you n***as don’t have no f***ing clue what y’all talking about. Because I will catch you n***as in traffic, and then what’s gonna happen?”

There were some more shots and jabs here and there, but things cooled down until their podcast appearance. Even though it’s something that’s apparently not happening again, it was great for the culture to see. Now, with 2024 right around the corner, we look forward to seeing what these gentlemen can bring to the new year and hip-hop. For more on Joe Budden, Gillie, and Wallo, keep checking in with HNHH.

Slaughterhouse: Where Are They Now?

Slaughterhouse was a rap supergroup composed of four highly lyrical solo acts who, despite their elite penmanship, had each struggled against music industry politics. The four artists, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, and Kxng Crooked (formerly Crooked I), first linked up in 2008 for a posse cut on Joe Budden’s album Halfway House. After releasing a cult classic debut record and signing to a major label, the group never reached their true potential.

These days, Slaughterhouse is regarded as one of hip hop’s biggest “what ifs.” Despite their struggles as a group, all four have gone on to find success in the years since they disbanded. While none of the artists have reached household name status, they are all still active today.

Joe Budden

Joe Budden is the artist most credited with forming Slaughterhouse in 2008. Conversely, the rapper-turned-podcaster is also largely to blame for the group’s falling out. Budden retired from rapping in 2016 after releasing his eighth and final solo album, Rage and the Machine. Since then, Budden has become a full-time podcaster, hosting one of the most well-known and successful hip hop-centric podcasts on the web.

The Joe Budden Podcast has been a source of endless controversy, media takes, and rap beef. This includes a tumultuous 2021 split between Budden and his long-time co-hosts Rory and Mal. Most recently, Budden has found new co-hosts, a new venue, and ignited new beefs on the platform with figures like NBA YoungBoy. While Budden’s abrasive personality and no-holds-barred attitude may have prevented him from forming lasting relationships in the music scene, it certainly makes for excellent podcast content.

Royce Da 5’9″

Royce Da 5’9″ is likely the most well-known member of Slaughterhouse for his rapping ability. The long-time Eminem collaborator has released eight solo albums, as well as a flurry of mixtapes and collaborative efforts. His most recent outing is 2020’s The Allegory, which showcases the rapper’s newfound beat-making capability. While The Allegory was hailed for its creative production choices, intricate rhyme patterns, and thoughtful compositions, the album came under fire for several anti-vax lyrics.

Like his former Slaughterhouse peer Joe Budden, Royce started a podcast in 2020 with co-host Lupe Fiasco. Unfortunately, the pod concluded following just 45 episodes after the pair became embroiled in a rap feud. Royce has been criticized for his handling of the beef, refusing to properly respond to Lupe Fiasco’s devastating diss tracks. While Royce Da 5’9″ continues to rap to this day, no new projects have been announced since The Allegory.

Joell Ortiz

Arguably the most underrated of the bunch, Joell Ortiz has largely managed to sidestep beef throughout much of his career. The former Slaughterhouse artist has had a prolific run since the group split up, collaborating on full-length LPs with producers such as Illmind, Apollo Brown, The Heatmakerz, and L’Orange. Joell has also collaborated on a series of joint projects with his Slaughterhouse associate, Kxng Crooked. The most recent project between the duo, Prosper, premiered on streaming in October 2023.

Joell Ortiz and Kxng Crooked sparked beef with their former collaborators in 2022 after releasing the album The Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse. Apparently, the quartet had been planning a reunion album behind the scenes for some time when the album was released without the prior knowledge or participation of Royce Da 5’9″ or Joe Budden. According to Crook and Joell, Budden refused to agree to the terms of any deal they presented. Likewise, Royce refused to do an album without Joe. As a result, Crook and Joell released The Rise & Fall of Slaughterhouse as a duo, officially vowing never to return to the band again.

Kxng Crooked

Kxng Crooked has one of the most fascinating backstories in all of hip hop. The Long Beach, California native was first signed to Death Row Records in his youth. His first solo ventures with the label were shelved indefinitely due to industry politics and Suge Knight’s legal troubles. The rapper was also instrumental in arranging the posse cut with Joe Budden, eventually forming Slaughterhouse. Crooked was the first member to officially announce his departure from the rap supergroup in 2018.

In recent years, Kxng Crooked has announced plans to release a final solo album before retiring from hip hop. No specifics regarding the rumored release have been confirmed at this time. While working on the farewell album, Kxng Crooked was approached by Joell Ortiz with plans to make a series of duo albums with one another, resulting in four full-length LPs since 2020. Crooked has cited his partnership with Joell as a reinvigoration of his sound, resulting in him postponing his retirement.

“Pink Friday 2” Sales Projections Increase, Nicki Minaj Promises To Cuss Joe Budden Out: Watch

The Barbz have long predicted that Nicki Minaj’s comeback would be epic, but even they weren’t fully prepared for the creativity unleashed by the Queen of Rap on Pink Friday 2. She reconnected with frequent collaborators like Drake and Lil Wayne on her tracklist, while also tackling new challenges, such as working with 50 Cent and J. Cole. The initial first week sales projections for the LP hit the internet this past weekend, with HDD speculating Minaj would move 170-190K album equivalent units over the next few days. After making a splash on Friday (December 8), those numbers have gotten a significant increase today (December 12).

This time, HDD says the mother of one is aiming to land on top of the Billboard chart and should sell 200K. “It would mark her biggest debut since The Pinkprint in 2014,” @chartdata noted when sharing the information. Minaj’s last album, 2018’s Queen debuted at No. 2 with 185K units sold, coming behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld, which arrived atop the Billboard 200 the week before. The Trinidadian wasn’t happy to lose out on her throne last time, so she’ll be happy to see that competition is minimal this time around.

Pink Friday 2 Aiming for No. 1 Debut

She’s probably taking time to celebrate the big news, but elsewhere, Minaj is keeping busy giving one interview after another. On Tuesday, she teased another sitdown with Joe Budden coming in the future and even hinted that she might have to cuss the podcaster out again, as has seemingly become their tradition. “You know why I’m here? Because this man always deserves a good cussing out from me, ok? And that’s why I made it my business! Was I gonna cancel it? Sure! Was I gonna show up 10 hours late? Of course!” she quipped.

Adam22 and Lena The Plug have been married since May of this year and were engaged in 2021. Even before that, the couple had a baby girl, Parker Ann Grandmaison. Cam’ron Blasts Joe Budden For Defending Melyssa Ford

Cam’ron has responded to Joe Budden defending Melyssa Ford for her recent comments about Killa. “Ohh she’s an expensive escort? How much bro?” Cam’ron wrote over a clip of Budden’s defense. “Looking bad and sad! This wasn’t a wise decision! Move on y’all best bet,” the rapper also wrote as a caption for his post. Budden had gone in hard on Cam’ron over his original response to Ford’s comments. “I don’t give a shi-t about what any of these goofy a– n-ggas got to say. That sh-t is performative. I’m not with none of this performative sh-t. You think you got a lawsuit? Call your lawyer. You got enough lawyers, I think they’ll advise you against it.”

Furthermore, Budden had been incensed by Cam’ron wild threats against Ford. The It What It Is host had originally gone after the fact that Ford is Canadian. “Tread lightly. Be careful ’cause I’ll tell you one thing: I know a lot of people at ICE. I’ll have you escorted back up across the border. It screams desperation. We’ll get a petition to get you out the country. Cut it out,” Cam’ron warned.

Additionally, Ford was originally commenting on a wild story that Cam’ron told on It Is What It Is at the end of November. “Well, we was gangbanging b-tches. I remember one time — don’t let me talk about the past — we was at this whore house, me and Murda. So we left the b-tch out the wh-re house. I had a lil’ stash crib over there between 7th and Lennox and we brought this b-tch over there,” Cam’ron began beside a mortified Ma$e.

However, Cam’ron was far from finished. “Mase was on the way up, he was popping, he didn’t have his deal but it was about to happen. We so Harlem the b-tch sucked — pardon me ladies — sucking his d-ck so I gotta wait to get my d-ck sucked because I’m not hard yet, pause. So when he’s done hitting it I go get head. And he’s hitting it from the back. He started hitting her, ‘You wasn’t sucking my d-ck like that.’ Yeah, that’s my n-gga,” Cam’ron continued.

Cam’ron Is “Goofy” And “Performative” According To Joe Budden As Podcaster Defends Melyssa Ford

Joe Budden has come to the defense of Melyssa Ford after Cam’ron went after her for comments she made about a story he told on It Is What It Is. “I don’t give a shi-t about what any of these goofy a– n-ggas got to say. Budden was speaking after Cam’ron went absolutely scorched earth on Ford for implying Cam’ron and Ma$e had sex with an underage sex worker. “Tread lightly. Be careful ’cause I’ll tell you one thing: I know a lot of people at ICE. I’ll have you escorted back up across the border. It screams desperation. We’ll get a petition to get you out the country. Why Is Cam’ron Dissing Melyssa Ford From The ‘Joe Budden Podcast?’

cam'ron podcast

For the past few days, podcast hosts Cam’ron and Melyssa Ford have been going back and forth, generating quite a bit of buzz among the fans of both shows as the two millennial favorites unfurl their friction for all the world to see.

If you are up on everything that’s happened, here’s a quick refresher.

Who Is Melyssa Ford?

Ford, who currently appears as a co-host on The Joe Budden Podcast, started her career much like her co-host and her new rival — in the world of rap. However, where they rose to fame behind the mic, she did so in front of the camera as an in-demand video vixen, appearing in clips from the likes of Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, Mystikal, Jadakiss, and Usher. In the mid-2010s, after making a run at a film and television career, she made the pivot to podcasting, appearing on the Hollywood Unlocked show until 2020 when she started her own show. She joined the Joe Budden Podcast earlier this year.

What Did Melyssa Ford Say About Cam’ron?

It was during a recent episode of Joe’s show that Ford started the feud. Responding to Cam’s on-air anecdote about a wild trip to a brothel in the ’90s, Ford wondered aloud, “Is there a distinct possibility that there may have been underage girls in that whore house?” While she was chastised by her co-host, when Cam learned of her comments, he went all the way off.

What Did Cam’ron Say About Melyssa Ford?

Back on Cam’ron’s show, It Is What It Is with fellow Harlem rapper Mase, the de facto Dipset top man addressed Ford’s remarks, saying, “Tread lightly. Be careful ’cause I’ll tell you one thing: I know a lot of people at ICE [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement]. I’ll have you escorted back up across the border [Ford is originally from Canada]… It screams desperation. We’ll get a petition to get you out the country. Cut it out.”

Ford later apologized, but Cam wasn’t having it. During an Instagram Live stream, he denied her suggestion that and Mase had sex with underage girls, then called her apology “fake” and accused her of escorting herself.

“First of all, I only like older b*ches,” he said. “Second of all, it was 1992 — we were underage! I just turned 16!” Shutting down her apology, he fumed, “You can’t just say sh*t like that and two days later be like, ‘Oh, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.’ You damn right you wasn’t thinking! Why say that in the beginning?… I could’ve went straight to: Ice-T f*cked you in the bathroom for $2,000 when you was doing waitressing. I didn’t even go there! You used to f*ck in the bathroom at the Kit Kat Club or one of them old-ass clubs. Stop, you a video vixen!”

He also couldn’t help getting in a jab at his fellow rapper turned show host (who can’t seem to stop getting himself into these situations). “Shout out to Joe Buddens for hiring all these washed n****s,” he cracked. “You should open up a dry cleaning.”

Joe Budden Calls Cap On Fat Joe’s Comments About Lying In His Raps

Joe Budden is someone who has a wide range of opinions when it comes to the hip-hop world. If he has something to say about someone, more often than not, he will just come out and say it. Overall, this has gotten him in trouble with some of his fans and peers. However, he usually stands on whatever he says, at least for the most part. His recent spat with NBA YoungBoy was actually one of the few times where he actually apologized for something.

Now, however, Budden is taking aim at none other than Fat Joe. Essentially, Budden seems to take issue with some of Joe’s comments about lying in his raps. Recently, the rapper revealed that Joey Crack was simply a nickname girls made up for him because they would see his butt when he sat up. Moreover, he claimed to have lied in 95 percent of his songs. In Budden’s eyes, this seems like a bit of a copout and just a flat-out lie. You can see the clip in which Budden says that, below.

Joe Budden Speaks Out

“First of all, Fat Joe is lying,” Budden said. “That’s number one. Fat Joe is lying. That is a lie! So he’s making up a lie to clean it? Don’t do that! Cuz nobody even said nothing! Fat Joe said that his name Joey Crack comes from back in the day. When he would stand up, the homegirls — when he got up, his ass crack would show, so they used to call him Joey Crack. That’s weird.” Needless to say, Joe is feeling extremely skeptical right now. Whether or not Fat Joe responds, remains to be seen.

With Joe’s latest comments in mind, let us know what you think, in the comments section below. Is Budden right or do you think he is going too hard on Fat Joe? Joe Budden Blasts ‘Fresh & Fit’ Podcast: “I See Why They Hate Some of You Having Microphones”

Joe Budden is owning up to his “NBA YoungBoy is trash” take and apologizing. Returning on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden admitted to owing the rapper an apology.

“I owe him an apology,” Budden said. “He don’t even bother nobody. And the pod was over. I was in my notes. My notes is for my brain. That ain’t to put out there like that and if you’re gonna have the conversation, there’s a much better way to articulate what you’re tryna say and have the conversation. That’s just lazy to do that at the end of the pod.”

You can hear Budden’s full message below.

NBA YoungBoy is letting fans know there are no hard feelings toward Joe Budden. Speaking in a video released overnight, YoungBoy states everything is entertainment.

“Joe Budden, I love you bruh,” YoungBoy said. “They don’t understand our plot twist. It was strictly for us to do an interview after that. Don’t take us too serious, everything is for entertainment.”

Joe Budden and NBA Youngboy went back and forth over a few days. Their rift began after Budden delivered his opinion on Youngboy’s music during episode 680 of his self-titled podcast.

“You ready to tell the truth about NBA Youngboy,” Budden said. “That nigga is trash. He is horrible. He is horrible. He is really, really, really, really, really bad.”

For clarity, Budden’s co-host Ish asked if he was speaking about music or as a person. “I don’t know him as a person, I’m only speaking about the music,” Budden replied. He then details how he is a star due to a record label push, which he seems to have backed away from.
