Dan Serafini Of MLB Fame Arrested For Alleged Murder Of Father-In-Law

Authorities in Nevada arrested former MLB baseball player Dan Serafini, 49, in connection to the murder of his father-in-law and attempted murder of his mother-in-law in 2021, California’s Placer County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) announced. Moreover, police also apprehended suspect Samantha Scott, 33, in Las Vegas. Serafini previously pitched for the Minnesota Twins, the Chicago Cubs, and various other professional teams throughout his career. Furthermore, his arrest follows a two-year investigation into a 2021 incident that left 70-year-old Robert Gary Spohr deceased and attempted to do the same to 68-year-old Wendy Wood. The perpetrator (or several) shot them in their North Lake Tahoe home, but only Wood recovered from her injuries, although she passed away a year later.

While Placer County awaits Dan Serafini and Samantha Scott’s extradition, they shared more information on the incident in question. On the day of the murder, video surveillance showed a hooded male figure with a face-covering mask and backpack went to Spohr and Wood’s house hours before the crime. The PCSO complied a lot of evidence in this investigation thanks to detective follow-ups and collaboration with the District Attorney’s office. All this led them to believe that Serafini and Scott are suspects, as both have ties to the victims and each other.

PCSO Announces Dan Serafini’s Arrest

Don’t listen to the fans rock they have no good interest for you or for that baby. You definitely shouldn’t leave your child with anyone for six weeks. You are the only one that’s going to understand your baby’s heart rhythm, your baby’s heartbeat at this point. If someone goes to sleep and the baby does not wake up it will be your fault. You won’t be able to look at them or blame them or even look at yourself again in life. And anyone taking responsibility for anyone’s child under six weeks old is six weeks sick!!!”

Lil Baby Concert Shooting: What We Know

Thursday night, a man was shot and injured during a Lil Baby concert at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. Fans were forced to evacuate the venue, with no other injuries being reported. The Atlanta rapper was performing alongside Rylo Rodriguez when the incident occurred. He was rushed off stage immediately after the shots were fired. Currently, the shooter’s identity is unknown, and Memphis Police have yet to make an arrest. However, they concluded that the shooting was premeditated and the victim was targeted. As police conduct their investigation, here is what we know so far about the Lil Baby concert shooting.

Initial Reporting

The Memphis Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the FedEx Forum during Lil Baby’s performance around 10:23 p.m. on Thursday (September 7). One concertgoer, Clarissa Johnson, told WREG Memphis she “heard a pop” before evacuating the venue. “I’m still not sure what happened. It’s not so sweet tonight, though,” she said. The shooting victim, later reportedly identified as Young Dolph’s cousin, CEO Jizzle, was said to have been in critical condition when police responded before being rushed to Regional One Health Medical Center. The incident reportedly occurred on the first floor near the stage. The victim is no longer in critical condition today, and no other injuries have since been reported.

Statements From Police, Venue, & Performers

Following the shooting, the Memphis Police Department released a statement. They are investigating how a weapon managed to get inside the arena as all fans walk through a metal detector when entering. The shooter’s identity is unknown, and police are actively working to find the culprit. The FedEx Forum also released a statement echoing the goals of the police’s investigation. GloRilla, who was scheduled to perform at the show, commented on the situation. In a social media post, the rapper expressed frustration of her hometown. She said, “Memphis is ghetto as f**k. We been on this tour this whole f*****g time and today they want to f*****g shoot. It ain’t been a shootout at not a one of these shows… Man, this some ghetto s**t. It ain’t even funny, for real.” In addition to GloRilla’s remarks, Lil Baby also took to social media after the shooting.

Lil Baby Assured Fans Their Refunds

While not commenting on the incident, Lil Baby took to Twitter, assuring fans they would be refunded. “Unfortunately I couldn’t perform last night in Memphis. Ima make sure everybody gets a refund tho,” he said in the since-deleted tweet. The rapper also released a statement on his Instagram story, citing “unforeseen circumstances” that prevented him from giving fans a full performance. Baby’s show the following night at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, has also been canceled following the shooting. The rest of his upcoming shows on his It’s Only Us Tour are scheduled to take place as planned.

L.A. Rapper Sirtanky Found Dead, Lifeguard Discovered Body Inside Barrel In Malibu

Los Angeles-area rapper Sirtanky has been found dead inside of a metal barrel that washed up on Malibu’s shores. Moreover, police suspect “foul play” and announced the launch of a full investigation into the rising MC’s death, which occurred under horrifying conditions. Reports from The Los Angeles Times indicate that a lifeguard found Sirtanky’s body (real name Javonnta Murphy) on Monday (July 31) on the shores of Malibu Lagoon State Beach. However, the coroner did not identify the body inside the barrel as Murphy until Thursday (August 3). Sirtanky is survived by his mother and four brothers, and recently released an EP titled The Chronicles of a Capricorn this January.

Furthermore, Lt. Hugo Renaya of the sheriff’s homicide unit stated that a maintenance worker first discovered the barrel on Sunday (July 30) on Malibu’s beach. Upon discovery, the worker did not open it, nor suspect anything was wrong about it. Then, the lifeguard found it to be suspiciously heavy, and discovered Sirtanky’s body inside. Given that his body wasn’t decomposing, it stands to reason in law enforcement’s eyes that he passed away shortly before the barrel showed up ashore. Still, the coroner did not confirm this conclusion as of writing this article.

Sirtanky Found Dead In Malibu

In addition, police shared no further information or details about Murphy’s body or coroner reports. They confirmed that this is an open homicide case, as Sirtanky was naked when they found him in the barrel. “At about 8 p.m., there’s a high tide here,” Lt. Renaya remarked to the Times. “There’s a possibility that the container could have come in from the ocean and then got stuck in the lagoon. But we don’t know.”

Meanwhile, these details are what lead authorities to believe that this was a murder. Also, detectives found that this barrel came from presumably a printing company. As such, they maintained that they sought information on whether the company is somehow connected to the L.A. artist’s death. Earlier this month, Las Vegas police raided a home owned by Paula Clemons, the wife of Duane “Keefe D” Davis. Footage later surfaced of the raid, and police were heard calling out orders to two individuals in the home on a megaphone. The quiet Henderson, NV neighborhood was lit up with police lights as two residents were removed from the residence. Keefe D’s nephew, Orlando Anderson, is allegedly responsible for 2Pac’s murder. Anderson and the late icon reportedly got into an altercation at a hotel the night of his shooting. It was recently reported that officers recovered various bullets from Keefe D’s home, with sources claiming they will undergo a forensic analysis. Officials will attempt to “determine if they have any link to the bullets found in 2Pac’s body or on the scene of the homicide,” according to Daily Mirror. “There is no information yet on the history of the bullets, how old they are, or their significance. And it will take some time to assess how the bullets play a role in this case,” they also added.

Las Vegas police reportedly recovered several .40 caliber bullets while executing a search warrant on Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ home in Henderson, Nevada, last week. The search was conducted for a renewed investigation into the murder of 2Pac in 1996. Davis is the uncle of ‘Pac’s alleged killer Orlando Anderson.

According to the Daily Mirror, a Vegas police source says the bullets will undergo forensic testing “to determine if they have any link to the bullets found in 2Pac’s body or on the scene of the homicide.” Detectives have kept clothing and bullets from the scene of the infamous shooting for over 25 years.

As for Anderson’s role in Pac’s death, the accused killer was himself murdered just two years later in 1998. On the night of Pac’s death, Anderson famously got into a fight with him in the lobby of the MGM Grand following the Bruce Seldon vs. Mike Tyson boxing fight. Pac was shot and killed later that night.

Now, the pair learned that authorities expanded their charges. To elaborate, Romanian prosecutors investigating the Tates now seek charges of human trafficking in continued form rather than as separate counts. On Tuesday (June 13), the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) summoned them and the press to reveal such developments. Despite victim testimonies and official arrests, they continue to deny any and all accused wrongdoing.

Furthermore, DICOT stated that these new charges reflect discovery of a “more serious crime” than the investigation originally suggested. In addition, they have added another victim to the case, which involves another testimony and layer to explore in the legal process. This means that this investigation reflects the allegations of at least over six women brought forth against Andrew Tate and Tristan. However, the fact that no official indictment or trial came forward in the past few months makes this case remain a mystery.

Authorities Expand Andrew Tate’s Charged To Continued Human Trafficking

For those unaware, the Tate brothers faced an investigation when Romanian authorities apprehended them in December of 2022. Furthermore, they remained in Romanian jail until their removal into house arrest in late March of the following year. Both built large followings, particularly Andrew, for their commentary, which many criticize for its bigoted views on women and other social norms. Regardless of your take on their views, the legal purview of this arrest remains hard to fathom given the lack of trial or official charge. The investigation itself seems to have taken a long time to process, but their continued misogynistic takes and condemnations of “the woke agenda” don’t make it any harder to believe.

Still, thought and action are two separate entities, at least for now while the public (and the Tate brothers, for that matter) remain in the dark on the investigation. Romanian law states that they could face up to ten years in prison for trafficking adults if convicted. Prosecutors may bring them to court at some point in June, or at least that’s what many expect. According to a Miami police report, authorities were contacted just before 10 PM. Local fire rescue teams responded to the Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell Hotel at 1750 SW First Ave. They received a call about an unresponsive woman and promptly transported Jacky to Mercy Hospital in Coconut Grove. Medical professionals made various attempts to resuscitate the 32-year-old, but they ultimately failed. Music Rep For Drake, Post Malone Named Person Of Interest In Singer’s Death: Report

Police have named a reputable music rep with ties to Drake and Post Malone as a person of interest after they discovered a 34-year-old woman dead at a hotel in Miami. Authorities are looking to talk to 45-year-old David Bolno in connection to Laura Lozano’s death. They claimed they found her face up in a bathroom of ​​a room at Miami’s Setai Hotel. Police, who confirmed Bolno rented the room under his name, said that they saw him leaving the hotel alone around 4:30 in the morning. However, he insisted he “wasn’t there when she died.”

The hotel security reportedly went to the room after calling Bolno nine hours after he left to inform him that his guest hadn’t checked out. Once they entered the room, security found the woman face up in a bathtub and “unknown substance in various areas inside the property.” Fire and EMS arrived at the scene around 1:22 p.m., roughly 20 minutes after security called Bolno.

David Bolno Says He “Wasn’t There”

The 45-year-old married music rep described Lozano’s death as a “terrible tragedy.” Though the details surrounding Lozano are largely unknown, Bolno, who is a partner at NKSFB, explained to TheDaily Mail that he left the room prior to her death. “I wasn’t there when she died,” he said. “’It was a terrible tragedy. I had vacated the room in the earlier part of the morning so I wasn’t there when they found her. It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.”

Bolno said that Lozano was a budding musician and that he hoped to get signed. “She’d been there because she was recording music the night before. She’s a client and she was going to sign a record deal with me I helped her make music,” he said. However, when asked about why he was in her room that early in the morning, he explained, “I let her stay there, there’s not much more to it.” He added that she had been “recording music” prior to her death.
