Future Speaks On LeBron James Being A Huge Fan Of Him

As one of the most influential and beloved artists in the hip-hop world, Future’s received no shortage of praise. However, one of his most die-hard celebrity fans is none other than basketball superstar (and arguable GOAT) LeBron James. Moreover, the Los Angeles Laker often spoke of or displayed his love for Hendrix over the years. For example, he practically only played his track “March Madness” during the summer of 2015, telling a fan at that time that it was his favorite song. While on The Beat with Ari Melber on MSNBC, Melber asked him specifically about that relationship and on “being the soundtrack to so many people’s lives, including LeBron’s big moments.”

“It feel great,” Future remarked about LeBron James and his continued support of his music. “It just make keep me going, give me inspiration and motivation to just stay in the studio and keep coming up with different tunes, you know. Making that music. I love when people say certain things about it, and it just inspire me, when they say things about me say things about my career. It definitely inspire me.”

Future Appreciates LeBron James For His Support

Another prominent example of Bron’s love for Pluto is his answer to a question posed by RapCaviar back in 2021. Furthermore, the post posited J. Cole, Drake, and of course Kendrick Lamar as the “three kings” of the 2010s decade, placing them on a Mount Rushmore. Still, that comparison left one spot remaining, and fans debated over who else was the most dominant artist of that decade for a variety of reasons. Unsurprisingly, LeBron didn’t flinch with his answer. “Future Hendrix,” he replied to the Twitter account. Maybe he already answered this question before, but it would be crazy to hear what the 38-year-old’s favorite track from the “HOLY GHOST” MC is.

Much like Future’s dominance of the 2010s, LeBron James has become one of the greatest players in NBA history. A lot of that work came in the same decade, and his revered place even in hip-hop culture is unsurprising. After 20 years in the league, he crafted one of the most significant legacies in sports in recent memory. There might be some who scoff at the comparison, but Hendrix proved many times in that decade- and this decade, for that matter- that you can’t tell the story of modern hip-hop without him. Regardless of your take, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Future and LeBron James.

O.J Simpson Reacts To “The Story Of O.J.” By Jay-Z

O.J. Simpson finally spoke out concerning Jay-Z’s now iconic track, “The Story of O.J.,” which landed on his 2017 album 4:44. Moreover, blogger Augustus Lymon asked him about the track on April 7, specifically its most explicit reference to Simpson. “O.J. like, ‘I’m not black, I’m O.J.’ …okay,” Hov rapped on the song. Furthermore, the former NFL star took some issue with how simply and out of context the rapper portrayed his infamous comments on being Black. Although it was a quick interaction and a quick choice of words, O.J. gave fans the reaction that they awaited for so long.

“Well, first of all, [Jay-Z] didn’t say it right,” O.J. Simpson stated. “When Johnny [Cochran] was talking to me about it, and all that was going on was ‘Black, Black, Black,’ I said man, f**k being Black, this is me. This is about O.J. You know? It wasn’t about Black or white. It was about, ‘These guys were after me.’ So that’s how that was expressed. It wasn’t about, you know, ‘I’m not Black.’ It was about, this ain’t about being Black, this is about me.”

O.J. Simpson Says Jay-Z Got It Wrong On “The Story of O.J.”

Regardless of Jay’s apparent misinterpretation, that track still caused a massive cultural splash and discussion upon release. Aided by a 1940s-style cartoon video, the song raised a lot of conversations on Black identity, wealth, and stereotyping. Despite that being his last album as of writing this article, the 53-year-old remains as relevant as ever. In fact, he just announced a surprise concert in Paris, France on Friday (April 14) commemorating the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol. In partnership with Louis Vuitton, this out of the blue performance will surely capture much of what makes him such a compelling MC.

Meanwhile, his previous catalog continued to show its staying power and commercial dominance even decades after its release. On one hand, his classic album The Blueprint recently received a triple-platinum certification from the RIAA. On another, his project Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life just surpassed Watch The Throne as his highest-selling work to date. Whether O.J. Simpson likes it or not, Jay provided one of the most relevant and far-reaching reflections on his case n recent years. For the latest news and updates on O.J. Simpson and Jay-Z, log back into HNHH.

Lil Pump Reveals Conversation With J. Cole: “You’re Actually Smart”

One of new-age hip-hop’s most interesting spats continues to develop itself into a respectful relationship in the public eye. Moreover, Lil Pump recently sat down with Complex for an interview, during which he detailed an interesting conversation with J. Cole. Between the Miami MC teasing a song whose chorus was “F**k J. Cole” and the Dreamville boss seemingly talking down on him on his album KOD, these two have some history together. However, that history is equally marked by their reconciliations. They spoke in a lengthy YouTube video together, bridging their artistic styles, and now Pump is back to talk about their link-ups.

“I don’t have no hate against him, I respect him, I was just trolling at the time,” Lil Pump remarked about his tussles with J. Cole on wax and public statements. “I met him, we had a long talk at Rolling Loud. We were talking for like a whole hour, just chopping it up. And he was like, ‘Damn, you’re actually smart! I thought you were gonna be fried out walking over here, falling, drugged out.’ And I was just having a regular conversation with him, just like we are now, and he was like, ‘Yo, you’re a smart kid. You just play dumb on the internet, but you know what you’re doing.’”

While many might see it as slightly condescending, it’s heartening to see Lil Pump take it in stride. The 22-year-old was presumably the subject of Cole’s “1985 (Intro to ‘The Fall Off’)” on his aforementioned 2018 album. “One day, them kids that’s listening gon’ grow up,” he rapped on the track. “And get too old for that s**t that made you blow up. Now your show’s lookin’ light cause they don’t show up, which unfortunately means the money slow up. Just remember what I told you when your s**t flop. In five years you gon’ be on ‘Love & Hip-Hop,’ n***a.”

To his credit, the “D Rose” rapper hasn’t appeared on any reality shows yet. In fact, he just dropped his tape Lil Pump 2 earlier this year, which contains much of his usual musical fare plus a few experimentations. Whether it’s for his trolling or for his divisive music, he’s still in the conversation for many fans. Also, this just goes to show that people can say what they want online, but respect from a fellow student of the game can go a long way. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Pump and J. Cole.

Benzino Says He Doesn’t Want His Daughter Coi Leray Dating A Rapper Like Chief Keef

What’s the problem with Sosa? Benzino recently revealed on an episode of The Gauds Show podcast that he wouldn’t want his daughter Coi Leray to date a rapper like Chief Keef. In fact, the former Source magazine co-owner expressed that he’d raise an eyebrow at most rappers trying to date the “Players” hitmaker. Still, those comments didn’t necessarily take aim at the Chicago MC as a bad rapper- or person, for that matter. Instead, it seems like Benzino is more concerned with getting along with whoever his daughter decides to date, and the odds of that seem to go down the considering another rap figure.

“If my daughter brought home Chief Keef, my life is f***ed,” the 57-year-old expressed. “And Chief Keef is one of my favorite young artists, ‘I’m a Gorilla in a zoo’ and all that, but I don’t want my daughter with Chief Keef.” In addition, he clarified, when asked, that the same goes for rappers like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. Actually, scratch that, because he changed his mind on the Dreamville boss.

Benzino Doesn’t Want Coi Leray To Date Chief Keef

“Maybe J. Cole,” Benzino stated after thinking about it for a second. “You know what? I wasn’t thinking about J. Cole. I could see me and J. Cole kicking it! Coi in there cooking and me and him sitting watching the game. I could see me and J. Cole doing that … J. Cole a good one.” With that last comment, it’s indicated that he just wants the best for Coi Leray. However, as much as the two show each other love, their relationship turned a bit more rocky over the past few years. For example, in a now-deleted tweet, she blasted him after he criticized her name-dropping him on the track “No More Parties.”

“And this is why I NEVER WANTED ANYBODY TO KNOW!!!” Coi Leray penned to her father Benzino. “I’M EMBARRASSED TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER. I should have been a boy your right cause I would have knocked you the f**k out already. NUMB TO THE PAIN!! I’m hurting right now but it’s all good. Ima be the one to PUT US RIGHT BACK IN THAT MANSION.” Regardless of that spat, log back into HNHH for the latest news on Benzino, Coi Leray, and Chief Keef.

Beanie Sigel Believes Kanye West Needs Someone To Tell Him To “Shut The F**k Up”

Beanie Sigel recently sat down for an interview with VladTV and reflected on Kanye West and his recent controversies. From what the Philly rapper expressed, these attitudes from Ye should come as no surprise to those who know him, and that doesn’t make them any more excusable. Moreover, he specifically pointed at him not having wise people in his corner who actually look out for his well-being and not his pockets. Of course, part of what made Kanye a compelling artist to begin with was his individualistic and single-minded approach to his craft. However, once the money got split up between many parties, Sigel stated, that’s when people’s true loyalties became clear, to the detriment of victims of the Chicago MC’s attacks.

“Kanye drives his own car,” Beanie Sigel remarked of his former Roc-A-Fella label mate. “Kanye was Kanye. I think when you get to a certain point, they saw money change you, it also changes the people around you, and when you got so many people that’s on your payroll, it’s hard to get honesty from them. Kanye needs somebody around him that’s gonna tell him, ‘Shut the f**k up.’ Like, ‘Chill out, bro,’ and he gotta be able to accept that. He needs somebody that don’t care about his money.”

Beanie Sigel Condemns The “Yes Men” Of Kanye West

Currently, the Yeezy mogul is facing opposition in both the court of public opinion and the court of law. Furthermore, two women including Cecilia Hailey sued the rapper for unlawful termination from his Donda Academy after they criticized his strange policies. Not only that, but the lawsuit also includes accusations of racial discrimination, health and safety violations, and more. One of the wildest examples was Kanye West forcing kids to eat sushi every day and prohibited outside food.

“Ye West, I am so thankful for the opportunity to be at your school, but things are not going the way they should, academically, socially or spiritually,” Hailey stated. “And you need to back down and try again with people who know what they’re doing, who can execute a vision, who can help you understand that we don’t know anything about producing albums, but we know how to educate. These children’s lives are in your hands and this vision, especially if you’re trying to carry out the vision of your mother, is just not working right now.” For the latest on Beanie Sigel and Kanye West, stay logged into HNHH.

Lil Uzi Vert Is “Finalizing” “The Pink Tape,” DJ Drama Claims

One of the most anticipated projects of this year will apparently see the light of day sooner rather than later. Moreover, DJ Drama recently revealed that Lil Uzi Vert is adding the final touches to their highly anticipated album, The Pink Tape. From what the Philly icon revealed to Justin Credible on the latter’s podcast, there are very little steps left before the tape is ready to hit digital shelves. Furthermore, fans have been waiting for The Pink Tape since Uzi teased it shortly after Eternal Atake and Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World 2 dropped. While they’ve held fans over since then with singles and the RED & WHITE EP, there’s nothing quite like a full-length project of Uzi material.

“[Lil Uzi Vert] and [Don] Cannon have been hard at work,” DJ Drama remarked to the radio host. “They’re just in the process of finalizing the final sequencing and tracklisting of the project.” This means they likely finished all its tracks by this point, which is very exciting for fans. However, fans also wonder whether we’ll hear a different style from the 27-year-old given other changes in the recording process.

DJ Drama Says Lil Uzi Vert Almost Finished The Pink Tape

The first (and most commendable) is Lil Uzi Vert’s sobriety throughout their creative process. “I thought that my creative process wasn’t gonna be the same because I wasn’t on drugs no more,” they remarked to TMZ. “It made sense. It wasn’t like I just made random music. I didn’t just play off the beat. I actually made songs with topics this time. It can change your life.” Considering that their massive hit “Just Wanna Rock” employs more Jersey club-inspired rhythms, maybe we’ll hear Baby Pluto engage with more different sounds on The Pink Tape.

Meanwhile, Uzi stans also hope that The Pink Tape will contain their reunion with Playboi Carti, which they teased at Rolling Loud and with an Instagram Story post. At the festival, one of the lines in unreleased material he played shouts the Whole Lotta Red rapper out and says that’s where his heart is, despite not talking often. “Me and my luv about to take over the world,” the Philly rapper wrote on their IG Story, tagging Carti in the pic. On that note, what are you most excited for on The Pink Tape? Let us know in the comments below and come back to HNHH for the latest on DJ Drama and Lil Uzi Vert.

DaBaby & DaniLeigh Drama Is Her Fault, Says His Baby Mama

DaBaby had no fault in his falling out with DaniLeigh, according to his baby mama. Moreover, Mariah Osbourne, also known as Meme, recently spoke to Tasha K on the subject of women sometimes being “the aggressor” in domestic situations, contrary to what feminist movements lead people to believe. Furthermore, Meme stated that Dani was the one to blame in the situation that led to the Charlotte rapper kicking her out soon after their child was born. “Anything that ever occurred happened because it was initiated by her,” Osbourne claimed.

Not only that, but she also hinted at more wrongdoing on Leigh’s part behind the scenes, as this was just one public instance. In addition, she said the Miami native played the victim and compared herself to Meme without reason. While this is certainly a complicated situation largely without public context, hearing a perspective from one of DaBaby’s close partners throws yet another skeptical wrench into the discourse. Fans were split on the situation, with many standing firmly with the “BOP” rapper while others blasted his continuation of the domestic dispute in the first place.

DaBaby’s Baby Mama Says DaniLeigh Is To Blame For Their Falling Out

Furthermore, DaBaby most recently addressed the situation during an interview on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning. However, he mostly focused on their daughter Velour. “My daughter is beautiful,” the rapper stated. “Full of love, full of joy, full of laughs. Full of smiles. It’s all good. All is well. That was a breath of fresh air for people on my end. I stand on certain morals and principles. If shawty would have been wise at the moment, she would have hollered at her brother.”

Meanwhile, DaniLeigh spoke to Angie Martinez back in May concerning their publicized break-up. “I wish it didn’t happen because I don’t want my baby to see that later on in life, but she’ll grow to be her own person and be able to take things in,” she expressed. “During that time, I definitely wasn’t his side piece, and he knows that too. It was very selfish, being that I just had our baby. I feel like I really did love him so much that I was just giving it all to him. I didn’t even focus on my career.” Regardless of the conflicting sides, stick around on HNHH for the latest on DaniLeigh and DaBaby.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Breaks Silence On Gym Attack In Tell-All Interview: “It Was Cowardly”

For years, Tekashi 6ix9ine boasted that he’s untouchable in these streets. The rapper antagonized any rapper possible in hopes that he’d get a response. But, after he walked out of prison, he became even bolder as he made it clear that he wouldn’t move around with security. Eventually, his words caught up to him. At a gym in Florida, he got a beating inside of a sauna. The three men accused of jumping him have been arrested while 6ix9ine seemingly tried to keep a low profile.

Finally, the rapper decided to break his silence in a tell-all interview with NBCMiami.com. Sheli Muniz sat down with the rapper to get his account of what happened at LA Fitness. The rapper explained that he suffered contusions to his face, jaw, and ribs. He added that he stayed in the hospital for a few days after he was beaten. But, when the topic of security came about, he said, that he “felt at peace.” “I love going to, you know, restaurants and not have to say, ‘Oh, I’ll wait for the security team,” he said. “I’ll just go do it.”

6ix9ine Breaks Silence

There’s no evidence connecting the attack to 6ix9ine’s testimony against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. However, one of the attackers is reportedly a high-ranking member of the Latin Kings, who have ties to the Bloods. Tekashi 6ix9ine didn’t necessarily discount the theory but he said that people who are mad at him for snitching don’t “know the real story,” as in the evidence presented in court documents.

Muniz eventually asked 6ix9ine about the video and whether it was difficult to watch. “Yeah, definitely,” he responded. “For me, it was tough to watch because it was so unexpected… It’s cowardly.” He added that the video is filled with “hate,” as he explained that people have formed an opinion about him without ever meeting him. “I think it was cowardly, I think it was opportunistic,” he continued. “But again, I’m not mad because I know that, in the streets, there’s no rules. I’m lost for words because you can’t blame them. They saw an opportunity and they took it.” He also addressed those who felt that it could be staged, saying that he doesn’t need to get attacked to sell records. “I’m that talented,” he said. Check out the full interview above.

City Girls Make Headlines With Awkward Dreamville Festival Interview: Video

JT and Yung Miami, best known to the world as the City Girls, have come a long way since their humble beginnings in 2017. In 2023 so far, they’ve already performed at Rolling Loud California (where they previewed an upcoming release called “Piñata”), as well as this past weekend’s Dreamville Festival. Not only did the girls join Usher on stage during his headlining set to rap “Good Love,” but they also showed out during a performance of their own, which heard them revisit plenty of fan favourites from their discography.

During the show, the City Girls wore matching brown leather looks, complete with sultry thigh-high boots and flashy silver chains. For her glam, Caresha wore her long black hair in waves down to her booty. JT’s short, chocolate brown locks were in soft, shoulder-length curls. Following the concert, the partners in rhyme sat down for an interview, though the cameras caught Lil Uzi Vert’s girlfriend in a world of her own as the media personalities asked them questions.

Awkward Interview Moment

“Who are your favourites right now?” the host asked the “Act Up” artists, leading to an undeniably hilarious moment of silence from everyone. “Whoever wants to go first,” she later added as the tension continued to build. “I think it’s cool, I love to see everybody thriving!” Yung Miami said. “I feel like everybody deserves a chance, so to see everyone trying to feed their family and do what they love, it’s an amazing thing.” As for who she has her eye on that’s on the come up right now, the City Girl said Lola Brooke and Ice Spice.

During their time at Rolling Loud, the rap duo went through a similar encounter with another media personality, Tamera Kissen, who was accused of acting “unprofessionally” while speaking with her subjects at the California festival. In defence of her unusual behaviour on camera, the 28-year-old wrote on Twitter, “I STILL GOT PAID.” Keep scrolling for more photos and videos from the City Girls’ weekend at Dreamville Festival, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

GloRilla Shoots Her Shot With Rubi Rose

GloRilla just shot her shot with Rubi Rose during a recent interview with Angela Yee- at least, hypothetically. Moreover, the Memphis MC and the two podcast hosts seemed to be discussing the topic of threesomes, with Yee saying she’s never been in one. When Glo said that it would have to be two girls and a guy (but not her main), they got into more details. Furthermore, it was during that discussion that GloRilla revealed that she thinks Rose looks fine, and that the other girl would have to “look like her.”

What’s more is that Angela asked the “F.N.F.” hitmaker about what type of girl she would like in that scenario. Although it might seem like taboo to some, all voices involved spoke with respect and were just having some fun. At the moment of writing this article, DDG’s ex hasn’t responded to these comments. However, given Glo’s incredible visibility and Rubi’s prolific social media presence, a link-up wouldn’t be surprising. Still, both have a lot on their plate at the moment, and one in particular has other romantic matters to address.

GloRilla Praises Rubi Rose’s Looks

Furthermore, Rubi Rose recently got involved in dating rumors with French Montana after they were spotted grabbing dinner. Despite what some fans believed, though, the rapper and model had to dispel those rumors relatively quickly on Twitter. “Dang… i can’t go out to eat now,” she tweeted to fans after she saw a lot of speculation and buzz. While Montana himself hasn’t responded to rumors, it seems that Rose’s tweet was enough to dispel the gossip. The only thing that would make people forget it would be if they’re spotted again, and that remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, GloRilla blasted a new song from Money Man that name drops her and references her body type. “Skinny b***h inside my DMs, she remind me of GloRilla,” he rapped on the track “Saweetie” in which he also references the “ICY GRL.” Then, after fans mentioned it to her on social media, the 23-year-old responded to the mention. “Hey guys what song is this??????????? I hate it,” she tweeted. Regardless of those clapbacks, come back to HNHH for the latest on Rubi Rose and GloRilla.
