Druski issued out a cheeky response to that Rubi Rose claim a couple of months after they “split,” and a few weeks after some controversial comments. “In the last interview I did, I spoke about my recent relationship,” he expressed on his Instagram Story after a radio program in which he suggested she was after his money. “And to be real I was trolling. She spent more money in the relationship than I did.” Their whole situation is still very much unclear, but it seems like we are no closer to an answer.

Dee Devlin Ruthlessly Insults Conor McGregor’s Sexual Assault Accuser

Conor McGregor was found liable of sexual assault on Friday. The MMA star lost the civil trail after he was accused of raping a woman named Nikita Hand in a hotel room. He’s been ordered to pay $250K in damages. McGregor has confirmed that he plans to appeal the result of the trial. Several brands have already terminated partnerships with the MMA fighter, however. McGregor’s fiancee, Dee Devlin, was livid over the result of the trial, and decided to target McGregor’s accuser as a result.

Devlin started off cordially via Instagram. She posted a photo of her and McGregor with their children and assured fans that they will remain vigilant together. “Me and my man created a beautiful life together [and] I love him.” Dee Devlin also claimed that she trusts and believes Conor McGregor’s side of things when it comes to Nikita Hand’s assault allegations. Fans of the MMA fighter flocked to the comments to praise Devlin for staying behind his side. It was Devlin’s Instagram Story, though, that turned up the heat with regards to her anger.

Dee Devlin Voiced Support For Fiance Conor McGregor

Dee Devlin went on a ruthless social media rant against Nikita Hand and the public shame Hand has caused her husband. She tore into Hand’s character, and her behavior in the days leading up to the alleged sexual assault. “Imagine a woman, with her own boyfriend and child,” Devlin wrote. “Sending texting provocative pictures of herself to another woman’s man with a family and child on the way.” Devlin called Hand out for repeatedly sending pictures to Conor McGregor. “What kind of woman are you?,” she asked.

It was Dee Devlin’s closing statement, though, that proved most withering. McGregor’s fiancee had already established a strong dislike for Hand, but she got particularly nasty by bring children into her tirade. Devlin claimed that Nikita Hand would serve as an example of how not to behave for her own kids moving forward. “My sons will be warned women like you exist in the world,” Devlin asserted. McGregor issued a statement of his own. He was more apologetic than critical, however. He thanked his fans, and singled Devlin and his children out for their continued support.

Ray J and Nicki Minaj have an interesting social media dynamic. The two artists regularly hop on Instagram Live to discuss a wide range of topics. Last time they had an IG chat, Minaj grilled Ray J on some of the bold claims he was making about Diddy. Things somehow took an even stranger turn on November 26, though. Ray J decided to open about some of his sexual habits, and then proceeded to flirt with Minaj to the point where she hung up on the call. It was all very… odd.

Nicki Minaj was perplexed by a comment Ray J made about “getting his groceries eaten,” and asked the singer to clarify. He did, but in doing so, merely confirmed that he likes to partake in said sexual activity. “I always get in the shower before I have sex,” he explained. “So my a*s is always gone be clean.” Nicki Minaj did not expect to get such a detailed answer in response, and the confusion on her face is actually pretty hilarious. You could pause the video at any one point and still register how thrown off the rapper is by Ray J’s comments.

Ray J’s Flirtations Caused Nicki Minaj To End Their IG Call

The conversation then took a flirtatious turn. Ray claimed that Minaj saying his name “turned” him out, and the latter tried to shut this line of thinking down. “It’s just something that you do to people and your fans, you so magnetic,” Ray J gushed. “I love being on Live with you.” The singer continued to lay on the compliments. He repeatedly called Nicki Minaj beautiful, and then bit his lip while looking directly into the camera. “Don’t ever do that [again], in your life,” she ordered. The rapper grew so tired of Ray J’s antics that she decided to issue a warning. “Honestly, I’m gonna hang up,” she asserted. “Stop playing like that, it won’t be the ending you want.”

What did Ray J do? Well, if you guessed “double down” than you are absolutely correct. The singer tried to apologize to Nicki Minaj while calling her beautiful yet again. Minaj made good on her promise, and she ended the Instagram Live as soon as Ray slipped up. It was the strangest Ray and Minaj live to date, yet there was definitely an element of self-awareness and humor informing the behaviors of both artists. We get the impression this won’t be the last of their unpredictable chats.

Busta Rhymes Claims Kendrick Lamar Raised The Bar With New Album “GNX”

Kendrick Lamar actualized his own praise. He called out other rappers for not giving him praise on the opener for his new album. He criticized Snoop Dogg for promoting a Drake diss, and claimed Nas was the only rapper who congratulated him for the Super Bowl Halftime Show gig. Lamar clearly felt a way about how others perceived him. The Dot praise party is in full effect now, though. Busta Rhymes had lots of positive things to say about the rapper’s new album on Tuesday.

Busta Rhymes joined the likes of Nas and Snoop in praising Lamar’s GNX album. The New York legend was blown away by the album’s combination of lyricism and catchy melodies. “King Kendrick, such an incredible body of work,” Busta explained via Instagram. “Brilliance and lyrical craftsmanship at its finest. Thank you for continuing to raise the bar!.” This is not the first Busta has evoked king imagery in relation to Lamar. He was mesmerized by the Compton rapper’s video for the 2022 song “The Heart Part 5.” He claimed Lamar was the best of his generation when it comes to visuals.

Busta Rhymes Crowned Lamar “King Kendrick”

That is quite the compliment, given Busta Rhymes’ music video pedigree. Busta is regularly cited as one of the most charismatic and inventive rappers of all time when it comes to the visuals. Dot’s ambition has actually been inspired, in part, by Busta Rhymes’ classic videos from the 1990s. He said as much during a 2018 interview with Billboard. Kendrick Lamar cited Busta, as well as Missy Elliott, for their colorful and often eye-catching presentation.

“You know, just being a kid watching BET, I’d be on the phone with Dave [Meyers],” Lamar told the outlet. “You know my partner that does the videos with me. And we’d be watching Missy Elliott videos back in high school, and Busta Rhymes videos. They were always big inspirations.” Kendrick Lamar has tried to implement the same level of sophistication and appeal in his own videos. “Being a student and always appreciating somebody being willing to put full impact and full ideas not only into the songs, but when you’re watching the songs,” he concluded. Sounds like the love goes both ways.

Kevin Durant shared a screenshot on Instagram of himself listening to Drake’s 2015 song, “30 for 30 Freestyle,” from his collaboration with Future, What a Time To Be Alive. The post comes after Drake filed multiple pre-action petitions against Universal Music Group on Monday, regarding Kendrick Lamar’s hit diss track, “Not Like Us.” He claims the company artificially boosted the popularity of the song, on which Lamar makes several unfounded allegations about the Toronto rapper.

On “30 for 30 Freestyle,” Drake raps about “higher-ups” joining forces against him. “When the higher-ups have all come together as a collective. With conspiracies to end my run and send me a message. 40, did you get the message? ‘Cause I just checked my phone and I didn’t get it. I mean, I’ll say hats off for a solid effort,” he raps to start the first verse.

Drake filed his pre-action petition in Manhattan court on Monday. In the filing, he alleged that UMG and Spotify worked together to artificially boost the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s viral diss track, “Not Like Us.” “UMG did not rely on chance, or even ordinary business practices,” lawyers for Drake’s company wrote. “It instead launched a campaign to manipulate and saturate the streaming services and airwaves.” He also took legal action in Texas, further accusing UMG of defamation for not blocking the release of “Not Like Us” despite knowing the lyrical content.

Khalid Breaks Silence After Being Publicly Outed By Former Boyfriend

Khalid has quite the Friday. The R&B superstar was outed by a man who claimed to have dated him. The man blasted the singer for being “ugly” and then proceeded to post a picture of them together on social media. Fans were genuinely confused by what occurred, but Khalid decided to be honest. He confirmed that he was gay, and assured everybody that he is proud of it. He decided to hop on Instagram Live a few days later, though, to expand on the unexpected turn of events.

Khalid told followers that he was “bothered” by Hugo Almonte’s comments. Not in terms of outing him, but it terms of painting the singer as an abuser and a manipulator. “All of this is definitely frustrating,” he admitted. I’m not gonna run around like I’m unbothered. I never said I was unbothered by anything. This is very bothering. … I had to say something.” The “something” in question was a rebuttal to Almonte for the accusations. Khalid actually claimed that the situation was reversed, and that Almonte was the one who was abusive and manipulative during their time together.

Khalid Claims His Ex’s Actions Were “Random”

“It’s triggering,” Khalid explained. “It’s triggering because it’s the other way around, and that’s what hurts… It’s just crazy to me regarding the stories of the abuse.” The “Location” singer also stated that he’d never taken drugs with his ex boyfriend, despite Almonte’s claims. “[I’ve] never done cocaine a day in my life,” he assured fans. Khalid also claimed to have been involved with Almonte over four years ago, and has not spoken to him since.

“The last time I talked to this guy was four years ago,” he explained. “This is all random, I don’t know why he did it.” Hugo Almonte has not provided an explanation as to why he outed Khalid, but he has gotten a ton of attention as a result. Rolling Stone reported that Almonte promised to give evidence of the singer’s abusive behavior, and his attempts to “silence” him, but no such evidence has been provided. Khalid has repeatedly told fans that his personal life should not be of importance to fans, and he concluded his IG video by reminding them. “Nobody knew because I don’t want everybody in my business,” he asserted.

Playboi Carti Trolls Fans After Teasing New Music And They Are Fuming

He cried wolf again. Playboi Carti spent all of Thursday evening hyping up the release of new music. The rapper posted a text exchange days before in which he promised to drop something on November 22. He pinned an Instagram user’s comment about not being able to rush art. Then, when release time came, he decided to drop nothing. Playboi Carti did not post a new single on streaming or on Instagram. He didn’t even tell fans that he was planning to do so later in the day. And the fans were not happy.

Some fans could try to play devil’s advocate with Playboi Carti. The rapper did drop two pieces of music on November 21. He put out a minute and a half snippet for a song tentatively titled “Play This,” and then another untitled snippet. This could’ve constituted new music in his mind. The thing is, November 21 isn’t November 22, so Carti was made out to be a liar. At least, by standard release methods. And after telling fans that something official was coming on Friday, a standard release was what everybody was wanting.

Playboi Carti Spent Thursday Night Hyping His Album

Playboi Carti’s comments leading up to the no show is what made things even more difficult for fans. He went on a post rampage, claiming that he’s “not done at all” and that “da sh*t ” on his album is going to be “overly trimm.” Playboi Carti even decided to follow up with another message bragging about how he was “locked rn.” All signs pointed to this being a breakthrough night for both the rapper and his fans. It’s more of the same, instead. Fans have moved in droves to Twitter to make their frustrations known.

The Carti crowd is feeling the weight of years at this point. Some fans reverted to gifs, and the classic go to images whenever a rapper fails to make good on their promise. Others dispensed with the lighter stuff and went straight to venting about Carti’s baffling rollout strategy. “Playboi Carti ain’t a chill guy,” one fan wrote. “So f*ck him and whoever making him delay his songs.” Another user voiced their frustration with other fans, claiming they have allowed Carti to repeatedly tease them. “The fans literally worship him. The rapper’s account was actually shut down for a brief period. Playboi Carti was back with a vengeance on November 21, though. The rapper dropped a snippet for a song tentatively titled “Play This.” A snippet would have been more than enough to satisfy fans. It was the comments Carti made afterwards, though, that really got fans excited.

Playboi Carti assured fans that new music was imminent. He took the to comment section under his own snippet and told fans to prepare for an onslaught of new material in the near future. “I’m not done at all,” he wrote. Carti then claimed that the “Play This” snippet, while dope, is not even good enough to be on the I AM MUSIC final tracklist. “DIs sum cool sh*t I wanted y’all to hear,” the rapper added. “BC I love dis song but da sh*t dats on my album overly trimm.” The hype could not be more real. The user reflected on the rollout Carti has given fans thus far, and speculated as to why the rapper takes so long. “[I] realized a few years back we just go through test phases with Carti,” the user proposed. “Spends about 2-3 testing sounds through leaks. Then lands somewhere in the middle of it all.” The IG user went on to voice his admiration for Carti’s alleged approach. “The wait used to p*ss me off but you can’t rush art.” Playboi Carti evidently liked what this user had to say. Him pinning the comment to his snippet suggests that he agrees with at least part of the sentiment.

Playboi Carti has expressed reverence for the recording process and his creative muse. During a recent interview with Billboard, the rapper detailed the unorthodox way that he approaches making a song. “It’s all based on confidence. I believe in myself,” he noted. “The moment I started recording, someone came to me and said that they like my songs. Playboi Carti has something cooking this week. No, really. The rapper may have spent the last few years teasing fans in an endless start and stop cycle. He has made some particularly bold promises as of late, though. The rapper not only gave crucial information about his upcoming album, but he dropped a brand new song snippet on Thursday night. Playboi Carti uploaded a minute and a half snippet under the title of “Play This” on his Instagram. No announcement, no fancy artwork. Just new music.

The instrumental is one of Carti’s most lush. It goes through various cycles, and has a hazy, trap feel too it that differs greatly from “All Red.” It’s the most chilled out Playboi Carti has sounded in a long time, and it suits him. It’s also worth noting that the rapper sounds more like himself on “Play This.” A huge talking point regarding “All Red” was the fact that Carti sounds like he was doing a Future impression instead of relying on any of his signature vocal inflections. Those who are looking for less Pluto in their Playboi Carti music will be pleased with the new snippet.

Playboi Carti Ditches The “All Red” Future Flow

The lyrics are typical Carti, but the snippet does given fans a good sense of the song’s shape. The existence of the snippet bodes well for the future. Playboi Carti has been teasing the release of his new album, I AM MUSIC, for a while. The aforementioned details surrounding the album, though, lead us to believe it’s actually close to being done. Carti told fans that he doesn’t want to have any artists listed as guest features on the album. Evidently, he wants to tackle his new sound on his own. He did say that Kanye West would be heavily involved with the album’s production, though. “He over here making beats and sh*t,” Playboi Carti told a Vegas crowd. “That album gonna be crazy, I can’t wait to show y’all n*gas.”

The rapper has been touring the world, and keeping fans updated on her exploits via IG. She makes sure to post photos from each of her stops. Her latest batch of photos, has stood out from the rest. Ice Spice decided to turn up the heat during her recent stop in Dubai. She posted a ton of eye catching photos, and fans and artists alike flocked to the comment section with praise.

Ice Spice posted a dozen photos from her stay in Dubai. Some of them including her riding dirt bikes and partying, while others saw her holding a baby tiger. But it was the thirst traps that definitely garnered her the most praise. “Cute, sexy, c**ty,” Saweetie wrote in the comments. Tons of superstar artists also liked the post, including Tyga, GloRilla, Camilla Cabello and SZA. The glowing attention is a positive change of pace for Ice Spice, who has been the subject of intense scrutiny throughout 2024. Her album, Y2K, was considered a major disappointment in terms of sales.

The album only sold 28K in its first week, which led to widespread debate as to whether Ice Spice was the star that many touted her to be. She also correctly pointed out that the album was sold more than her debut EP. “Thank u to everyone who supported me then & thank u to all the new supporters,” she tweeted. “WORLD TOUR been so fun that these numbers are cool but b*tch u should of seen that Boston CROWD last night.”

Unfortunately, Ice Spice’s streaming numbers have also gone down since the release of her album. AllHipHop reported that the rapper’s monthly Spotify listens dropped from 47 million in August 2023 to 15 million in July. That’s a decline of over 30 million. The rapper’s star is not quite as bright as it was this time last year, but she’s continuing to hustle and have fun. Her peers, some of which have been in the game for over a decade, appear to be in support.
